O7YAHQQQkcQ Enjoy. Pareidolia Link. Pareidolia: is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon or the Moon rabbit, and hearing hidden messages on records played in reverse. The word comes from the Greek para- – "beside", "with", or "alongside"—meaning, in this context, something faulty or wrong (as in paraphasia, disordered speech) and eidōlon – "image"; the diminutive of eidos – "image", "form", "shape". Pareidolia is a type of apophenia. Regards Alpha.

That is right, once you complete the full egg properly you can do it again 3 more times! Everyone can keep perks after going down! I can verify this as well since we tried it and it worked! haha This allows for some epic gameplay and high rounds!

Hey all, I'm sorry if I'm using the forums incorrectly, I am new here. I've done every single Treyarch easter egg with the exception of Shangri-La on black ops 1. I'm trying to get a team together to complete it, and if anyone is interested in doing so please add me on Xbox, my gamertag is the same as my name on here.

Hey guys, Tac here and I've been reworking this thread since I released it a couple years ago. Originally, I presented evidence for why Shangri-La was on Mars, but since then I've realized that they're merely connected and while Shangri-La may have once been on Mars, it likely isn't while we play. Because of this, I want everyone to realize that the OP has changed and so when reading the comments, realize that at the time of creation, there was less evidence than when you're currently reading this Shangri-La has always been a map that is shrouded in mystery and we have all been intrigued by it at one point or another. As some of us may have seen, Treyar…

So my Co-Conspirator @MixMasterNut pressured me into posting this because I don't think it has ever been posted or really talked about. (@MrRoflWaffles has a video on it but didn't know what they were). Mix & I talked about this over a year ago & I only included it in the Shangri-La Zombies Library but never dedicated a thread to it. With the possible remake/re-written story about Samantha, Shangri-la & Moon, MixMasterNut thought I should post this to show that there are still things that have not been discussed or researched. So without further ado, these are what the Tattoo's on the Shangri-la Zombies are ~ Sak Yant Tattoo’s Yantra tattooing,…

I swear I'm using it wrong, but it's gotten me killed more times than it should have. Maybe if it was on a bigger map I'd do better with it. Apparently Maxis built it, and if it was on Der Riese with Richtofens Wunderwaffe that would be SO cool! *edit* well after watching this guys video: it's apparently the best wonder weapon of black op 1 maybe that's why it's not featured anywhere else ha. I've been playing around with it now, and it is very much like the wunderwaffe, just more ammo and drops power ups. Sorry I know this map has been out for years, but I'm really just now getting to it

I've been doing the Shangri-La egg lately, and I noticed this thing in the sky I never noticed before. It's odd shaped, not a cloud, and it's the only thing like it in the sky. I know not many people think much of the Mars/Shangri-La connection, but I honestly don't know what this is, and believe it could be something related. I took four pictures (above) and merged them, the last one is as the eclipse ends, hence the sky brighter and the screen contorted. Anyway, I don't think I've ever seen discussion about this before. It's only their during the eclipse in the past, not the present. Here's a straight picture with no cuts. Honestly, it reminds me of the flo…

I just saw Jimmy Zielinski's tweet about life on mars sounding like a paradise. CNN wrote: Life on Mars was once possible, says NASA (from CNNLightYears): http://on.cnn.com/X46ZnW then someone else posted something else then Jimmy posted @assyriannuni @CNN @KSherwoodOPS sounds like paradise! BAM! right there! Shangri-La is meant to be a paradise... But recent disscusion has proved that Shangri-La could be on mars! This just proves that Shangri-La is on Mars! Thanks! This was kinda rushed but hopefully its okay! :D

I am struggling mightily with this map. It is infuriating. I want to get 100 on it before the next DLC comes out for BO2, but jesus, those low rounds are one of the hardest things I've ever done. I think I've got a general strategy down, but those napalm fuckers always get me. I'm not sure why I made this thread. Just wanted to vent, I suppose. Sigh. I miss Superhands. He'd know what to do.

I have noticed something on Shangri la that I have never heard anyone speak about before. So I went searching online and still have yet to find anyone mention this. Its silly but I think for completions sake it should be mentioned. When playing with other players online and a perk drops the monkeys come right? Now pay attention... They don't spawn randomly as most suggest. They actually spawn out of the players asses. Monkeys flying out of our butts? Oh Treyarch you... I love you guys.. Don't believe me? Pay close attention the next time a perk drops. Monkeys spawn behind the players and run for the perk.

Start the round at the minecart. kill until surrounded then, use the minecart. After arriving, run as fast as you can to the water slide. Use the tunnels or run through the maze to get to it. I reccomend using the maze path, though. kill until surrounded. Use the water slide and then, run to the minecart. If it's not back yet, run back to the water slide by using the spawn room tunnel or running through the maze. Kill until surrounded and then, use water slide. Go to the minecart and check if it's back. If yes, repeat the strategy. If no, go to the water slide again and repeat that startegy until it's back. Repeat!

This hasn't happened to me before until today, at the beginning of the round I decided to shoot at a napalm zombie a few times and then it started running at me like a normal zombie. I kept it alive for a round to see if it would stop running but it kept going till I killed him. Is this supposed to happen or is it a glitch?

I was hoping we could all post strategies for Shangri-la here, solo or otherwise. Maybe it's just me, but I find it difficult to get past 12 solo, maybe cuz I still need to learn the map some more. What I've done is make heavy use of the water slide and run laps between that and the waterfall. I don't feel comfortable camping anywhere since it seems to me there's always a blind spot. I've also seen people online camp by the water slide often; with 4 people there's two facing the mud maze, one watching the cliffside and the other watching the window. We made it to 24 doing this. Anyone else have any good strategies?

I searched for a topic about this but I couldn't find one. On the map that is on the loading screen in Shangri-La, I spotted a Black Sun, or a Schwarze Sonne, which is a Nazi occult sympol that was referenced in many of the zombie maps. However it was mainly mentioned in Der Riese. The Schwarze Sonne is where the tornado is. The tornado is touching down in the center of it. See the resemblance between the two symbols? What is really interesting is that the two maps where the Black Sun appears both have one thing in common... Solar Eclipses, which is the literal form of a Black Sun. I think this means that there was Nazi involvement in Shangri La, probably Group 93…

So before black ops 2 came out jimmy zielinski and others tweeted about the shangri la mountains and teasing us about them. Has anyone figured out what they meant or were they just trying to get us back into zombies before the game came out?
