Ourobos Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Previous high round on MOTD4 was 18 legit. Played last night, had one guy back out about 15 or so.. Went on to round 27.. Showed up on my MOTD4 leaderboard.. Have they fixed it? And FYI the Voice of Justice and Sweeper on the gondola is beastly.
Tasty Applesauce Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 yes! they definitly have and I love it
TheBSZombie Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Holy shit this is so awesome.... what happens if everyone leaves and you are the only one left?
Tasty Applesauce Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 then it usually kicks me out of the game lol, but the few times its let me continue on my own I've never beaten my previous high score so I don't know :P
Tridalo Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Yeah I think its just random, me and a two friends tested this with a random we found. He left at round 7 because he "had" to spin the box and blamed us on his death. We ended up getting to round 28, and our 4 person record did not change, it was at 15 before and after we finished the game.
Trillingslie Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 If you're playing with 3 other people and only 1 person drops out from the game because their connection timed out, is there anyway for the stats to still count on the leaderboards?
Ourobos Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 As far as I know, stats ALWAYS have still counted, just not the high round if beaten. I hope this wasn't random.
Chopper Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Does anyone know what board it puts you on? So if you start with 4 but end with 2, do you go on the 4p or 2p board?
Delta Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Does anyone know what board it puts you on? So if you start with 4 but end with 2, do you go on the 4p or 2p board? Going to test right now, will report back.
Delta Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Just did a 4 player game in custom games, which may have made it not work, and I lagged out on round 3, they suicided on round 4, no leaderboard changes on either 4 or 3 person, and only 1 of us was even ranked on 4 person.
Ourobos Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 Mine was standard public 4 player game.. One dropped out mid ways and my new high went on 4 player board..

bobane Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Sick then my last game will count, will check this out I should be at 33
Nasdaq401 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Too bad they just don't bring back private public lobbies and lobby leader boards. Would make alot of people just stfu :D
TheBSZombie Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 yea my high round for 4s was 29 and then playing today someone backed out at 25 and we made it to 32. I looked at the leaderboards and it was there.
KeredNomrah69 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 In my experience it's always been luck. Even when it first came out some of the games people dropped out of would still count but I've never seen rhyme or reason to the actual mechanics behind it. I've had 4p turn to 3p, rounds continue after someone drops but keeps leaderboard where they dropped at, and of course it just not giving anything. Unfortunately I think this one would be pretty hard to determine why. There are so many different factors to take into account (server status, who's hosting, are members in a party, # of players, # of rounds, ending round, # of randoms, reason for disconnection, etc etc). If we still have dedicated teams out there looking for more work then it's always worth a shot.
TheBSZombie Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 i just did a game where I was playing nuketown. on round 24 someone left and then we suicided on 30. looked at the leaderboards and it said round 24. the difference on this one was that the guy left and the previous one the host migrated when the guy left.
DeathBringerZen Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 We played a 4 player games a couple of nights back and someone got kicked on 33, we played on till 35. It did not save for the other two players in the game who stayed, as their previous high rounds were in the 20's. Mine was above 35, so I could not tell, but it definitely did NOT save for them. My guess, it is a glitch when it DOES save, seeing as the Dev's have acknowledged that it does not and should not save when a player drops out.
