  1. It's difficult to understand because we have more than just some flashy light being the indicator of what entity is going where with their plans. For instance, Tranzit's Easter Egg revolved around creating an energy receiver via electricity (Maxis) or 115 (Richtofen). The pylon obtained the sources of energy and would distribute them across multiple areas while magnifying the charge of power. In Die Rise, we have a similar situation. This time, however, it is a satellite tower which would be used as a storage unit or transmitter. It's even harder to assume because Maxis' side contains a fire encircling the inner base of the satellites, yet Richtofen has electricity for his. It's as if the energy switched around for both entities. I mean, heck - even the steps make absolutely no sense whatsoever. All I could think of was a possible reverse polarization of the magnetic fields on the Earth's poles. Many claim it has to do with the rift that is mentioned in the intro cutscene. I have a feeling that the rift is a broad concept that Richtofen is planning to reconstruct over the timespan of Black Ops II zombies. We begin to learn how exactly he will re-control the Earth. Maxis is left in a big shadow because...well we still don't know his true intentions as of this moment.

  3. Why do that when you can restore the world back to when it wasn't infested with zombies, thus controlling them until they worship him as a God? He's done it before with the Vril-ya (Focusing Stone altar in Shangri-la). While it's a very sporadic concept and it's not necessarily 101% proven for that matter, you don't receive a shrine by just coming to visit. Influence was involved, and it just so happened to be in his favor.
  4. But if you are losing perks and weapons due to it, then that's not just the regular system avoiding a glitch. It's Treyarch punishing you for attempting something that would unfairly benefit your player. The same applies to doing the Buddha Room glitch.
  5. Welcome to the community, friendo! Trust me when I say that you'll come across a ton of people who share the same love for zombies as you do! To be honest, I struggle in Solo as well. I have to rely on teamwork to get to high rounds. You'll also find fellow slayers to help you crack those hard Easter Eggs in the Teammate Finder forum.   6. I'd have to say that they are both equal in difficulty, but Maxis is a little glitchier, so it automatically makes him a bit harder to manage. Richtofen was easier to accomplish, and the Sliquifier is extremely easy to obtain given that you can build it. I think everyone will agree that doing the elevator circles are the toughest out of all the steps.
  7. Oh God, I love Claymores with a burning passion. I think it's better than seeing someone pass by a Bouncing Betty or Shock Charge, because there's always that "Oh shi-" moment when you see those little lasers protrude out.

  9. Not a bad relation, friendo! But what Maxis has done in Tranzit was distribute high amounts of electrical energy to harness his power so he has the ability to deflect the force fields that limited his communication to the N4 in Die Rise. The process in which the Side Quest follows is rather weird, considering that none of the steps make sense like they should. But that is not the matter at hand. Nevertheless, Maxis is desiring more power constantly to fuel his efforts against Richtofen. His plan of action once he does have power, however, is unclear as of the moment. Tranzit's T.V. transmission tells us a few things: - he has not come into contact with humans for a while now - he is confined to only communicating via electrical devices - the coordinates which the ballistic missiles from Earth hit were a bit off from what Maxis had configured, and almost wiped out the whole Earth - Global Polarization Devices are involved in assisting him A global EMP like you said is not a bad idea; however, he can only do certain tasks and communicate via electrical devices. An EMP would devastate his plans, and his control over the N4. Not exactly a smart move to make on his part. He mentions global polarization devices to reverse the flow of energy waves and signals so he can gather power quickly. This is why he says the other sites must be processed the same way. We have the pylon in Tranzit, and now the satellite in Die Rise. Each are have the NavCard table hooked up to them. These cards may very well be the reversing of such signals. Essentially, the towers (pylon and satellites) are made to receive energy signals so they can transfer it into different waves of energy - whether it be electrical, radio, sound, etc. By inserting the NavCard into the reader, the polarization of energy is reversed. What happens in this scenario? It's simple - the receptor becomes the broadcaster. This global attempt for Maxis can be defined by this picture. Reverse the polarization of the whole Earth, and you'll disrupt the flow of energy in your favor. This will allow him to harness great amounts of energy to do whatever is on his agenda. Recall that he also says in Tranzit that he does not have the power to physically move objects...yet.
  10. Good research, friendo! So when you say that heat is being involved in this process, is this only referring to why the sky is clear, or what? You went from discussing Province 22's origin, to the Great Leap Forward, to 115 being discovered in the steel, to the skies in Die Rise's map. If so, then this is all great connection leading up to what could've been the scenario. Not only that, but how the Jumping Jacks came to be of their mutated selves is also a nice relation. :)

  12. I feel for you, friendo. Those elevators can be a real pain in the neck. After millions and millions of matches in Die Rise, I found some good pointers by others as well as myself that will aid you in mastering those horrid contraptions. - Before riding the elevator, note which direction it is going based on the arrow sign up on top. Going down will mean that you will be on the elevator for a while, and going up means that you'll be making a quick stop to the ceiling soon. - A bell will ring to signal the elevators reaching the ceiling. I'd advise to not wait for the signal to go off, but to get off immediately when on the top floor. It's better to get out early that to kiss the ceiling before you die. - Who's Who + Death by ceiling = bad. You will spawn elsewhere with nothing but your M1911. If you aren't comfortable riding with the perk, then get out on all stops. - Having a zombie on the elevator is a real pain, but you can do quick circles close to the edge (since you won't fall off). When the elevator is in motion, the zombies will stop but continue to revolve their arms in effort to reach you. - Use the keys found in the shaft tunnel (where the lobby elevator drops to) for quick elevator access. It's a one-time deal, so use your key wisely to get whatever elevator you choose to you. There are a total of four keys in the shaft. If you dislike elevators overall, just use the Trample Steam. You can get to any building with them, given that you place them in the correct positions. Precision is everything with that buildable.

  14. In your System Settings, go into where your storage settings for your harddrive is and clear your data cache. Once it is done, turn off your PS3 and turn it back on after 10 seconds. Go back into where you received the Revolution DLC and re-download it [you should be prompted that you've already paid for it and can download it again]. Once it's finished, it should be working.
  15. First of all, welcome to the forum friendo! Not a bad theory, and it's been mentioned quite a few times since the Side Quest/Easter Egg was first solved in Tranzit. From what we have gathered, Tranzit's NavCard works in Die Rise's, but nothing occurs once it is inserted. Die Rise's NavCard should be accepted in the next map.
  16. But you don't need to make a rift in those because it is already implied and confirmed that Campaign and Multiplayer connect with the Zombie world. I understand that you are saying the rift has to be mended, hence what Richtofen is trying to accomplish at hand. But what would he care if the events happened in non-zombie worlds? As far as we are concerned, nothing of importance relevance seems like a threat regarding those "universes" besides Maxis and making himself power. Still, a nice perspective to go by! :)

  18. Fun fact: if you buy a melee weapon such as the Bowie Knife or Galvaknuckle after you encounter the glitch, you'll be able to access your controls again.
  19. Agreed. The guy has extreme skills in slaying zombies. I won't even get as close as a quarter to his skill level. Just a note to the OP: it would be wise if you use a thread title to reflect the purpose of this thread. Just some clarification to prevent future confusion. ;)
  20. This is a great theory, Rickety! +1 for the connections and time/effort put into the research. Y'know what made me hit a light bulb moment all of a sudden? Recall that Brock and Gary - from the Shangri-la Easter Egg - are also British explorers. While they may not have been searching for 115 (as their main intent was discovering Agartha), it isn't to say that they didn't come across it along the exploration path. The corner image from the Die Rise loading screen does look awfully similar to that of a steam wheel sitting on some rocks. An underground map is highly possible, but to what extent may that continue in Richtofen/Maxis' goals? This is one of very, very few theories that does not relate to some sort of equipment which could be harnessed for energy...unless that said steam wheel is involved? Keep up the great research friendo! :)
  21. It's supposed to be a hint towards Die Rise, the newest DLC. It doesn't sound anything like a Chinese track, nor is it a hint for what the next song could be. I'm guessing Treyarch is deciding to make the ending sounds relevant for what the next map may hold/ be rather than just a soundtrack.
  22. This is why Green Run looks like the 1950's - because it is. The timeframe that the N4 come in, however, is not the '50s but later years. In the zombies timeline, the government uses Hanford because it is deserted, hence government operations can go underway without any report of civilians. Now we fast forward to current time, and we end up having modern aspects involved with a vintage setting. This is why the zombies are also old-fashioned as well.
  23. Perhaps you're right, MMN. I thought there were telephones to convey good communication between the Soviet Union and America, since they were both very tense with one another in the Space Race/Atomic Age?
  24. First thing I'd like to point out is that you are going to love this map. There'll be a few quirky things that may catch you off guard aside glitches. For the most part, however, is that you can easily bypass these things once you get a hands-on feel for the new map. (I added a spoiler for those who have not played and do not wish to be spoiled until tomorrow.) Enjoy Die Rise when it comes out! :)
  25. Ah, thank you for clarifying it more MadHatter & bagel. I can see what you mean now. But the shadows lining up are by coincidence. While I could say that lining up loading screens which have a map in between them isn't necessarily cohesive evidence, allow me to also point out the rest of the shadow that is seen on the Moon loading screen. The rest of that shadow belongs to Samantha. Now I understand that having the rockets' shadow the numbers 115 would conclusively tie in with her shadow, but I'm quite sure this was not the case at the time of Ascension. I'm not trying to sound as if I'm further opposing the idea of those rockets being the same ones on Moon (as now, you've already proven to me that it is very possible for them being delivered to Griffin Station). I apologize if I come off that way. I am merely focusing on the shadow aspect of your explanation.
