  1. Yeah, judging players on downs seems reasonable, but sucks: i have a little time before work, i try to play around with soe stuff, then i kill myself to go to work. I have the second modst downs...
  2. They always paint it that way in Jersey... It would say stop then bus under it so you come across bus, then stop, even though standing there is says stop bus.

    Money on "Easy"

    I find easy to be harder because so few of them run. I bet it is more fun for 4 man camping; just mow the slow moving crowd down.
  5. Maybe turbine by the bank's green lightning bolt opens the power room door just like the power green symbol opens the bank's pap room just in reverse? So obvious that it must have been tried by now though...

    Info bits.

    Trap a zombie in the bus floor: go to the depot, have a zombie follow you (how many can we trap, hmmm?). Run around the fire pit so 'e runs through the fire pit as the bus rolls in. The bus will have the calming effect on the zombie(s) trapped in the floor. They are there until the bus leaves (or you get far enough away that they respawn). Just silly.

  8. Yes. They last longer. The first one that you do it to lasts really long. I hate cheats, but it is so easy and I don't really use it anyway. I'm not sitting in power for 6 hours in a glitch, not my thing. Edit: changed tilting to sitting. Ipad sucks...
  9. Turbine, turret, trap all time out. The first one that you glitch out lasts a really long time. Edit: I have seen the trap and turbine time out, I haven't seen the turret time out, but don't use it often. Apologies if wrong.
  10. Pack a punch and shield were useful too. Shield takes hits from behind as you pool the zombies (circles, as opposed to kiting), amusing in the early rounds how much it sends them flying, acts as temporary babysitter if you set it down at diner. The turret is more dangerous to the survivors, than zombies. Electric trap is meh. It would be okay if you didn't need the turbine also.
  11. Hmmm. Solo versus human bots? I am curious. I still haven't played grief beyond an offline splitscreen game. I am hoping this just a 1 on 3 mode for the ease of making a friends only lobby. Or split screen (i see you sneaking up on me...). Ha. It would be cool to play 8 man grief, but try not to win (but you can't just kill yourself off). Obviously with friends who were on th same page about the game. I wonder if there are lobbies looking to just play 8 man games without fn each other over. Try to get high rounds and not win. Yea, new gametype. End rambling. Edit: you can see the cdc guy through the wall in the diner of the trailer.
  12. This, more or less. There is a lot to do in tranzit, I feel that they din't want people to stay too long in a near useless start room. You are there to make turbine and gtfo. Note that you can leave via the free door, come back later and do 4 man window watching, though I doubt it is a valuable strategy. Also, the pic of the spire in the start room says 3 by the tower. I wondered if tht meant 3 towers in all of the maps, or simply to turn the power on 3 times. I turned power on, then off, then on and ric said some odd things and destroyed a few turbines of mine after that, he wanted me to take the jetgun instead. Just a thought...
  13. Sure, there are lots of strategy videos and whatnot. I have a thread called Info Bits where I have posted little blurbs to help players along. I usually stay until round 3, run to town, withdraw 10,000, find hatch, buy knuckles and jugger after getting power on, hen i run the tunnel, diner, outside of farm, or town. I usually ride the bus through one loop for power and all 4 bus part sheds, so I know the turbine won't be needed anymore. Then i glitch a new turbine and drop it on the bus simply because it looks cool and makes the bus real easy to see from far. Grab zombie shield and kite away. Running 4 solo runs usually is best once everyone is set up.
  14. I thought about something like that, but the coding and connection to go into each map and link would be astounding... Plus! A- what would happen if someone in the party didn't have the dlc? B- how are you soposed to control which nav card is which? Good questions. A, presumably the nvcard reader would be offline unless everyone had the navcard for another map. B, with only two locations, you would go to one or the other, the game would simply pick the right card. With more than 2, the reader would ask you to choose the card or simply ask which map you wanted to go to. That's my thoughts. Most likely I am on the right track, yet not 100% correct.
  15. Yes, there is room for multiple navcards. I assume it is to travel between the maps. We have the gr navcard which will allow us to travel back to green run from die rise, via the navcard reader.
  16. Edit: i think it is because you are trying to use the online guest offline. Just make a profile for them (offline, no extra money or points required). Local doesn't track any stats, so don't worry about which profile that you use. I play all the time on local splitscreen with either my gold acct + 1 non gold/ non silver profile or i play with 2 offline profiles. Just take 2 offline profiles or just make 2. You can have as many as you want afaik..
  17. I just want to point out that the driver seems to say the exact same bits on every run (at least early, but i think even in high rounds) in the exact spots. For example 'everyone off for greenbrier resort' means that you are in the cornfield/ndu. I actually call the ndu mock up/ high tension tower area 'greenbrier resort' because of this. Edit: and nice thread too!
  18. Okay, theater didn't go back far enough for me to get it. At least we know that the script is in the game... Weird.
  19. My theory: it seems obvious... There will be a few runs (green, red, blue, whatever). Each map will have its own navcard and reader. We got the green run navcard, so when we build the red run navcard and reader, we can teleport (helicopter, ufo) to green run because we have the green run navcard and back to red run if we got the red run navcard. So each map gives you its own card so you can travel between the dlcs that you get.

    The Next Step

    The electrical tower itself would be the spire that he means most likely. Has anyone tried turning the power on at that point? On the church spire: i once threw a semtex at the highest window of the church as i ran to town from diner; the semtex went up, hit the window and then was either stuck to me or a denizen that jumped on me. I survived the blast, but that was weird: i saw the semtex go up and hit the window, then it was next to me/on me. Probably just a glitch, but i thought i would mention it. What about the sparkles around the traffic light or spire/electrical suspension tower? Do the beams pass through them at any time while setting up the teleporters?
  21. Why would you repeat what someone already said? Derp. Just derpiness; i got interrupted, lost my point and failed... Whoops.
  22. My theory is that the next run (say red run) will also have a navcard. If you use the red navcard in green runs tower, you teleport to red run and vice versa. That is why the green run one in the green run card reader says incorrect card; it can't bring you to where you already are.
  23. If you're spectating and they have colorblind on... I use colorblind, so my crosshairs are light blue. Thanks for the defrib info.
  24. On the orbs. I get the traffic light one a lot. It is blue swirling sparkles always, yet i hear about red orbs on the traffic light, is there red ones also? Is it dependant on whether you did ric or max side (i did Ric)? I notice that the bus rides just under that light. I tried to punch it with galvaknuckles, but nothing happened. However, the placement is suspicious. Maybe a turbine/ electric trap on the bus roof?
  25. I just wanted to add that i only have played solo. The bears do play a little music. Just not much. It sounds like a mellow begining and then stops within a minute or less. Maybe the music is tied into it?
