  2. I really like this theory a lot! Thinking about it it makes a lot of sense about a 'Great Leap Forward'. I really do hope this shows off Treyarch' full potential, from what they've been tweeting (about how they reckon many people will fall) really does make me want it even sooner (but I've got to wait even longer :cry: ) & am looking forward to what I'm personally hoping, a crazy map of danger!

"Meet the Replacer. He's got you covered." After this there is a link taking you to here: http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/dlc/replacer This is the replacers official COD page, this is where business and discussions go down, you can discuss how you want your life to be replaced & for what cost (okay, a little bit exaggerated, maybe I'm hyping it up a bit). Basically after you click "Get Replaced" you will get taken to a page where the replacer will talk business. Do you want your food ordered for you, well he can do it! Do you want your social statuses to be set to something else, he will do it! He will even do your chores! There's even a door hanger available for download! I'm not sure who wants to put in their address for a delivery but someone give it ago & let me know if it works PS Wasn't too sure where to put this post, it was either here or in MP but this section has more about the DLC coming up.
  7. We have had minimal amount of footage on Die Rise which is probably one of the reasons we feel cautious about it ATM. For me the concept of the map is great as Verruckt has been one of my favourite maps & I like the references to the MC paintings. And am looking forward to it gameplay/mechanics wise (e.g. vertical stuff! + sounds like there's luck invovled with elevator shafts). I think one thing that is making people (like me) cautious is how it is all going to be laid out, TBH buildables weren't what I hoped in Green Run & it really was a map made up of 5 little maps which was also disappointing. What I'm worried about is Die Rise following this trend, putting some very good survival map into one big mode. In concept having a world is great but not a world comprised of small, zombie survival maps in a big space covered with fog IMO. Maybe it's just looking at what we got with Green Run that is making us think about Die Rise. The map itself I'm looking forward to but not the way it is going to be presented.

What if you pay to open the elevator door (one place at a time + you must find the one with a certain light or maybe have to go to the central power part then run to the elevator before it closes). Then the door opens, a random perk would spawn in! Or a bottomless pit... or zombies... or another room... I can just imagine standing there at an elevator and then PHD pops up, then it slowly disappears as you walk towards it, revealing a massive bottomless pit for the player to fall into, as PHD shouldn't be in Die Rise :twisted: I'd make a mean developer! EDIT: I've just re-watched the trailer, what if perks play a game of chase? Can you catch it before it changes :twisted: & before it goes past you

I REALLY like this idea of building our very own army of machines of doom in zombies, ATM (especially in solo games) almost all of them are useless to me apart from the Turbine & the jet gun (for me, only in the EE testing), I've never wanted to build anything else. So getting the option to build an army of machines would be amazing, just imagine building an exploding spider bot :twisted: It walks around until it finds some zombies then BOOM! Zombie stew! Also with Die Rise coming up, on the COD website it said this: Maybe this means we can combine our buildables, maybe if you combine all your buildables in an order you get a great WW! It would then give more of a reason to go around and build these devices & if they were more destructive. I like it!
  11. The majority of PS3 players seem to be getting similar problems, not just in Grief mode, some in TranZit mode & in MP. What gets me is nothing seems to have been said (by Treyarch/Acitivsion) about it, if it is a software error (too much data at once or something like that) then FOR GOODNESS SAKE FIX IT! Give me a patch! I know they've tried to but it isn't working. If it's a hardware issue then how did this slip through the net when putting the game on the stalls. Surely they've tested it on all consoles to see if all procedures & events work out correctly. It does detract from the game... mine freezes a lot in zombies and a little bit in multiplayer so just know you're not the only one. I suppose all we can do now is wait and hope it gets fixed, I wouldn't mind them at least telling us what the issue is, maybe lock the servers for maintanence & get it fixed rather than letting us play as if it's all fine. I'd prefer that than the risk of the console breaking!

    EE ON solo

    viewtopic.php?f=136&t=27191 ^ I did start looking into it but because of commitments I haven't been able to test everything so far & haven't had much chance to regain points into my bank (I'm broke :cry: ), basically unless you can put down two turbines at the NavCard Machine then you can't do it solo. Even if you could find a way to give the obelisk enough power (+ kill electro dude) then you would still have to contend with powering all of the lamps at the same time, which you need more turbines for... Even though the quotes still carry on in solo it doesn't seem like there is a way around it :cry: (unless it involves using other buildables/needs turbines/another solution!). As for Richs that also looks pretty unlikely with you needing four EMPs... Hope this helps :)

I've finally brought myself the season pass today after debating whether to for weeks, I finally got the money out the bank and went to Game brought a voucher and downloaded it before I could change my own mind! So now I'm officially excited for Die Rise as I know I'm getting it here is a thread of thoughts! Firstly TranZit was a game mode in the COD zombies mode to feature jumping/climbing zombies (Der Riese also featured zombies jumping down from platforms). We have a vertical layout in Die Rise SO what if the zombies can jump between shafts and cause havoc! This would mean no camping on the end of shafts and would bring strategy too, should I jump or should I stay? With this in mind this could also bring the return of the Nova 6 crawlers!!! (don't all cheer at once guys!) Imagine them crawling down the walls of the open shafts, waiting to pounce on your face bring a new mechanic similar to the denizens or just be there to annoy you :twisted: Small corridors mean closer encounters but 50 foot drops mean death, if you don't plan out your strategy quickly you may be overrun or take the plunge... this map could be all about risks & luck, will that walkway be there when I get there? Or will the whole map move... meaning you have no idea where you are & your world turns upside down (literally!). Hopefully you've liked my little thread on mechanics & other thoughts within the game, taking what we know & changing it up! See you when I see you!

I'd think it would be pretty cool for some boots like Nemesis said but break after some use but TBH I'd quite like the whole danger aspect of falling down the shafts, I wouldn't want to survive a 100 foot fall down the skyscraper, as for WW I've never brought PHD so I wouldn't see much difference.

Unless they made something like with Tombstone, if you become a crawler you have a choice as to stay alive and.... crawl or kill yourself and respawn as a new one (which doesn't count as a human kill). I mean being a crawler could have gameplay advantages, you can irritate people :twisted: but yeah, being a crawler would be fun for a while but if something like this wasn't put in then it would be pretty annoying, I hope you all now think about the poor AI when they are crawling around after you! ;)
  17. I would love there to be a helicopter that transports you from scraper to scraper! And then it would be like that TV show Jungle Run (UK C.I.T.V, it's still on after all these years!), the further you go down the better objects you get. You could stay at the top and have no access to weapons, perks or a PaP machine OR you can travel down the dark depths of the buildings in an attempt to find more... course it wouldn't be THAT simple, there maybe a little confusion the further you go, on how the bloomin' heck you get back up, or down... blinkin' painting... If I'm honest if you took the names Green Run & Die Rise together they both do seem like map names so Die Rise could still be a big map like Green Run which is split like Green Run is, one big game mode (like TranZit where everything is there + extras), griefing modes (original grief and turned) and then the survival maps!
  18. BOOM! No training, this mode does seem pretty good but I do agree that zombies need to be buffed up. It could still be round based though, perhaps each player starts at round 1, 1 player is the human and the rest (7 possibly) are the zombies, that human lasts as long as they can then when a zombie catches them they turn into a zombie and then the zombie that attacked turns into a human starting at the round that they are on so Player 1 (Human)- Lasts until round 5 Player 2 (Zombie)- Attacks Player 1 and then takes its place at round 1 Player 1 (Now a zombie)- Attacks Player 2, changes into human and starts back at round 5 (the round it last got up to). This means that it gets progressively harder to win the game & it is a battle to see who can kill the human and take control of the game! The player with the highest round score at the end of the time (or first to get to a set round) wins the game!
  19. Interesting, I may now buy the season pass... Hydro- Looks by far my favourite map, the way you can effect the environment, water! It's all good. Grind- The skate park of awesome, it looks ok but to me it sort of looks like you will be guided where to go if there isn't a way to get up on the ramps. DownHill- Reminds me of Array from black ops just with moving lifts, looks fun. Mirage- Looks pretty cool with sand dunes that will come into play. Die Rise- Looks amazing! I like that feeling of you not knowing what's going to happen, should be fun. Turned- TBH I've not wanted to play as a zombie, if this isn't implemented well then it may end up being a one-trick zombie. SMG- Looks good but I'll need to know the stats to see if it is REALLY good.
  20. Hey everyone! I've been working in this thread for a while now, today seemed like a good day to post it, I've been putting it off for quite a while but here it is, enjoy! This thread aims to look at easter eggs within the game mode TranZit to see if there is anything I can find (all solo too!)if anything isn't new it is because I did it a while back & tested it then. Any comments, questions or ideas you'll like to put across then post a comment! With that being said let's have a look: ToB (Tower of Babble) People have been wanting to know if the Tower of Babble Easter Egg can be done solo. I too have wanted to find this out & want to test out theories, so whenever I have a spare moment (not that often though) I am going on TranZit to see if there is a way to do it. TBH I don't think it is possible but I want to either prove people wrong or people right and it's fun to challenge yourself so, this is a little day to day round up of what I'm doing & what is happening within the manic game mode of TranZit: Enjoy and I hope it comes of use! Colour Key: Maxis Richtofen EDITs Notes/Theories 18th December (7 days until Christmas!)- Today I've wanted to focus on Maxis' Easter Egg path. I had to start off by building the NavCard machine & then turning the power on then off. I then went to the NavCard machine, I put one turbine down and Maxis said "Not enough power, bring more energy systems!", at first I thought that was it, the easter egg cannot be done BUT I've been thinking and there could be a way around this: A) He says energy systems NOT turbines, maybe one of the other buildables can generate enough power, maybe the electrical trap + electrical dude can help? The electrical dude! I tried continuing with the Easter Egg by killing the electric dude under the tower, I failed at this. The problem with doing it solo is you have no one to revive you when you're down :cry: C) The Jet Gun, in the Richtofens Easter Egg you heat up the NavCard machine using this. I wonder what would happen if I did this during Maxis'. Heat means the particles will jiggle around more providing more energy (in theory). EDIT 03 Jan 2013- The Jet Gun cannot heat up the obelisk in Maxis' Easter Egg, this doesn't power it up! Only in Richtofens. I have an idea on how to get through the next part of the easter egg, what if I turned on the lights using the turbines and then getting a Denizen to create a portal, would that keep it on as it is being powered? EDIT 3rd Jan 2013- Have been playing around with the concept of the Denizen portals possibly powering the lamps (which is what you need to create the triangle), it looks like you can't power the portals without using turbines! So it doesn't look like you can complete Maxis' EE solo, even if I found a way to complete the step before that I don't think there is a way, although I do still find it strange that the quotes still carry on when playing solo. I did attempt Richtofens Easter Egg but my downfall was forgetting where parts of the Jet Gun were, I got everything apart from the wire in the power station... 20th December (5 days!!!! Or 1, depends on what you think)- Today I've been trying to see if the NavCard reader can be heated up by using the Jet weapon. The answer is no :/ I was about to go and see what would happen if I put the electrical trap down somewhere and capture the electric dude but then I thought I'd see about Richtofens Easter Egg while I had the Jet Gun. I got towards the NavCard reader, my game ended and got a notice saying I've been disconnected from one of the servers. One thing I also noticed is that while I had the power off, I put down a turbine on a light nearest to Town and I got a sound file from Maxis, it said something about a complicated scaline triangle (I'll find the actual quote later). People have been saying that we may have missed steps, what if we did the steps in the wrong order (I have seen other people saying about the idea), when you turn the power down Maxis says something like "well done, now onto our other tasks", unlike Richtofen he never specifies what the next step is, this could also follow on from what Jimmy said on Twitter about "Tell me the steps you have done in what order... NOW!". 3rd Jan 2013 (HAPPY NEW YEAR CoDz! Still haven't posted this...)- I want to run through possible ideas on whether the EE on Richtofens side can be done solo, the steps (for MP) are: 1) Turn power on & heat up obelisk 2) Kill freakbags under pylon 3) Reduce power by a factor of 4 Part 1 & 2 of the easter egg look possible (unless they are not for some reason) to be done solo, the last part though doesn't look possible, Rich will say about reducing the power by a factor of 4! Problem is though there is only one of me with two EMPs, the two player EE was done by throwing two grenades at their lights, jumping through then throwing them again. I only have two EMPs so it may not even be possible, the only possible way I see it ATM is where you throw two EMPs, happen to land near a max ammo you created + linking all the teleporters up before you start it, the odds of you doing that is pretty slim but I'll see if there is another way... suppose it's time to start raking points back up for the bank... this may take a while. Navcard Mystery Here I will be looking at the Navcard and the significance it holds within TranZit. When people ask whether the EE is finished I ask 'do you mean TranZit or ToB?' Tower of Babble is done! (I'm just seeing if it's possible solo) But TranZit isn't 100% complete, there does look to be some things we still need to find out using this game mode. My personal theory is the same as some others say (Like MMX) this is an ongoing on and will all be answered in due time, the rod in Shangri-La went onto Moon so why can't this. I will be looking into it though, at this time people have taken out quote files and game coding and haven't found any new quotes but did find something saying Navcard accepted. Anyway I want to look into it possibly allowing us to use the machine... any ideas? Then post here! If there is anything I find out then it'll be posted here, have you found something out? Post it here & I'll update this! Any Easter Eggs other than ToB and the Navcards are welcome (Radios etc.)! If you've tried something out I haven't (maybe it didn't work) still post here so I can update this so others don't waste time doing it. Thank you for reading & hope it comes of use to some users!
  21. 1) Jugga is the first perk I tend to buy 2) Quick Revive is the second one I buy apart from when someone goes down before I can get Jug or on Solo 3) Double Tap II, loving this perk ATM, especially with it being able to shoot two bullets in one! 4) Speed, For some reason I always take this, even though while writing this I think of how pointless it seems while I'm training around a big map... hmmm. 5) Suppose it would now be the original Double Tap, I always brought this perk last on the Black Ops maps. 6) Stamin-up, I haven't played around with this perk much, I tend to buy it when QR isn't available on Solo. 7) PhD, I've only had this on the Moon map (where to me it doesn't seem great as there is no gravity) so I don't buy it that often. 8) Deadshot, I quite liked this perk but I felt like I didn't need this over other perks. 9) Mule Kick, I didn't like this perk much, it seemed to take the whole survival aspect away which I didn't really like. 10) Tombstone, never brought it, probably never will (I need to get that trophy though). I feel as if I'm taking the whole survival thing away, I hate relying on other to get through the round while I'm sat there, then I run straight to the tombstone and get everything back. Nope don't want that, I'd rather die and struggle back than holding square and killing myself and then getting everything back, but I do see how it is an amazing perk, just not for me.
  22. I'm not sure about the XBOX but I was on the PS3 not long ago (a few days) and I was playing Farm online with three others. My highest there isn't anything above 10 (with any amount of players on Farm, just haven't played it much). One left at about round 8, another at 10 and another at 14 leaving just me in the lobby (when the last player left host migration occurred) I played on for another round and got downed at 15 (a glitch seemed to happen after migration where the area was redder and I couldn't run...). None of my leaderboard information updated (I think the highest on 4 player Farm was 9), this also happened before in other games, so I believe that the highest round you got up to before someone left is the amount that counts towards your leaderboard. As for NK, I haven't actually played it much but I think I have also had similar issues with that, this is one of the reasons I've started playing solo more :D

  24. First off welcome to the forum Mark! I really like this theory! If Misty is related (personally I haven't delved much into quotes as of yet but may do at some point) then having different relatives of the O4 pop up would be very cool & could potentially make for a weird time travel-y thing & a lot of entertaining quotes from everyone. Like the theory, hope to see you posting more soon!
