  3. . I think we'll catch up with our crew a few years after the events on Moon. In keeping with the new timeframe for Blops2/Eclipse SP mode (I'm thinking 70's-80's). Fast Forward a few years and then Sam is a 17-18 year old girl and could pick up any damn gun that SMG could (or RE for that matter lol). So my thoughts are that Sam will be playable and she'll get her body back, but it will have happened in between maps so it will be commented on in passing but never fully explained. Just my 2 cents.
  4. Learn respect. Even if you think they are bad ideas you don't have to belittle other members, let alone make a statment that proposes that your ideas and opinions are more valid than others.
  5. If it's a meaningless egg that is only like a pat on the back to the good players, like an avatar pic or item or an emblem than sure why not. But if it would come with an acheivment or all perks then no. Many players (myself included) have no desire to reach level 50 just to get a few lines of exposition and a cheivo. I play to have fun for couple hours 20-30 levels is usually enough for me. I've made deeper runs, but I find them tedious and basically not fun. Attaching an acheivment to a requirement like that IMHO would be much, much more aggravating than the 4 player only eggs and would invite hacking/boosting/glitching just by it's set-up. However hiding the code to the Eggs better is ++++BRILLIANT++++ and should be implemented ASAFP.
  6. I like the campaign idea, but I'm a staunch proponent of a stand alone zombie game. Additions to a new release of CODz that bring changes do nothing to "ruin" the original game mode you liked/loved. That's the argument that the prequels "ruined" the Original Trilogy. (most will know what I reference, others will not) That is just not so...
  7. AV7X: Seems to be the songs from Rich's point of view. So maybe more of them. Also songs could still be sung from Sam's point of view...
  8. I like the Astro-Zombie and George. I think people just dislike them because they add challenge and can't really be exploited to our benefit like dogs or monkeys. As to the story of the Astro-Zombie well I'm hoping this will be cleared up in Blops2.
  9. Heavy rain is a good one. How about a map that starts at dawn and as you move up levels the sun rises into full day. Or the reverse would work as well dusk into night. I think fog as a constant wouldn't be all bad either. Like say the outside of a map was always foggy but inside it wasn't. NVG could apply in this scenario. What about a coastal map where the tide would come in and out making certain areas harder to move in or cut off completely. This could block off your favorite kiting routes or give you a super defensible position depending on the circumstance. It could also reveal traps when the tide goes out or maybe you could use a boat when the tide is in. Point is they could do a butt load of things with this premise. Thunder and lightning would be a cool one too. I've always liked the idea of a picture perfect day outside and zombies fucking it all up. Like by a tropical beach (see above coastal idea) or in a 1950's park/neighborhood. Perfect sunshine a couple lazy clouds in the sky, maybe even a rainbow... and zombies eating your face lol. A tornado/sandstorm(as retrozombie115said) could be cool like it comes and goes randomly and when it hits you can't see and walk slower so you better be inside. There's so much they can do with the environment. I hope they continue what they started in Blops and keep bringing new enviromental factors into play. (Cotd:Fog, Shang:Day/Night, Moon:gravity) Edit:::Retro also stated night/day first. [brains]
  10. I will use Mule kick in the same way. IE I will put a wall gun in that spot. Either upgraded or not depending on the round. Basically I'll only use that wall gun as a point horder, so if I go down and lose it no biggie. In later rounds you can have a 100 shotter in that spot as it will be just as useless as a wall gun, so once again no big loss if you lose it.   12. Link or where did you hear this? The devs pretty much said that zombies would return when they stated that Moon was the "season" finale, indicating another future season for zombies... To the OP what you're saying doesn't make much sense. The zombies mini-game was well established prior to Blops. Unless you're saying that Rez(final) map pack was a test to see if zombies alone would sell(which it did) If that's the case I agree with you. I'm not one of the guys who say a zombie game can't work, because I know it can. Think about it... Call of Duty: Dead ops Campaign mode 4 player co-op throughout (either serving as background to our crew's story or a sequel/prequel) The classic survival modes (including all previous maps and new ones) Spec ops style co-op mission with a zombie twist (I.e. sniper missions, air support, escort etc..) Multiplayer with a zombie twist (Hellhounds or Monkeys, wunderwaffe, napalm zombies and kabooms for killstreaks. Random zombies roaming around killing both sides. Richtophen/Sam randomly announcing double points for a short time. Really there's a ton they could do with it, and lets face it COD's mp could use some changes to freshen it up) those are just my 2 cents though...
  13. Mule kick zombie idea: He'll steal your 3rd gun via the Pentagon Theif animation if he gets to close, but he won't teleport away(only players with mule kick would lose a weapon). When he dies your gun will become drop like on Moon, but another player may pick it up or if you don't get there fast enough it will blink out like any other drop. At least thats my take on it.   15. Well technically season 1 ended at Der Reise and 2 ended with Moon. So we're looking towards season 3 now. Personally I like the W@W II idea with the main campaign following "the crew" and how they became "the crew", I doubt it will happen, but I would love that.
  16. I understand the feelings on the matter, but really it's no worse than PS3 players having to wait and extra month and no Xbox users seemed to have a problem with that. So basically what I'm saying is fair left the building when Xbox paid for the exclusive rights. But, yes if I cancel my Sub I still keep all the maps I got while being a subscriber, I lose nothing. So my plan is to re-up the elite for Blops2 and let it expire for the MW/IW iteration (unless they step up their co-op modes considerably). @OstonedshooterO As far as the newb comment. I was new at one time, but I would never call a whole section of our community "stupid" for any reason, let alone because they spent their own hard earned money on something they felt was worth it. I was just trying to let the new guy know that type of reply should not be posted or tolerated by community members in good standing. As for my feeling on Elite: aside from the discounted maps I feel it's worthless, but from an economic standpoint it just makes sense.

  19. 4 map packs for Blops=$60 4 map packs for MW3=$60 Elite sub gets all map packs=$50 What exactly are you guys complaining about? if you guys think Elite will be scrapped you are fooling yourselves. I'll re-up for next years elite because I like saving $10 and I know I'll get all the mappacks eitherway (if it's 3Arc's) So the complaint is that I'll get the new zombie maps before you and save $10. Seems to be a case of you get what you pay for. :roll: When Blops came out I knew the included co-op maps for hardened would be the classic zombie maps so I bought it. Was that unfair to those who had to wait for the last map pack before they could play them? No it wasn't just as there is nothing wrong with those who buy the hardened edition/Elite bundle getting their maps early. But have fun with your petition and fighting the evil Activision monster .
  20. Meh, Frostbite 2.0 isn't all that. Yeah it looks great on a high end PC (I play console) when your standing still admiring the lighting and particle effects but kind of goes to pot when the action gets heavy, and the MP never really looks as good as the SP. Also having the game completely studder on me during the final chase scene left sour note in my mouth. All that being said I'm sure it will come into it's own when the next gen console hits and the hardware catches up. I think Activision was smart not to rush out a new engine just to say they did, because lets face it, that's exactly what EA did. The new engine was not needed in this current gen of consoles and the HD install failpacks for BF3 and Rage proved that. COD will be getting a new engine when the next gen consoles hit. Expect announcements to coincide with Xbox/Sony console presentations. It's most likely been in development for some time now. JC your complaining about the engine not the content so flying a plane into a building and killing enemy players has no real bearing on the discussion which you started. I do agree that COD(not zombies) is getting stale but that is a completely different subject.
  21. I thought they got to the Moon via the flying pyramid from Shangri-la (pictured on moon loading screen) and were teleported to 51 when they tried to enter the facility.

  23. These are good ideas so far. I hope 3arc really does keep an eye on these forums. I really like the duel wield perk idea and the Knife-Aid. Here are some of mine. Blue Ox Super charged: "Blue Ox give you balls" would add to your already existing perks making them more powerful or "upgraded". IE; Jug would take more hits to go down. Speed would be faster etc.. $5000 Pack-rat Sasparilla: Will allow player to carry 25% more ammo and 1 more grenade. upgraded would add 1 more tac grenade and perk slot. $2500 The next few are activatable "perks" that would sit in the players d-pad inventory until used by the player. Grape Ka-Boom: A one time use nuke that the player would activate. Only the the activating player would get points. $4000 Zombie Juice: A one time use item with the effects of the upgraded vril shot on a player in cotd. $3000 Revive Plus: Would allow player to revive self if downed. $2500 These machines would only allow one player at a time to purchase a certain item. When a player has already bought it a big Sold Out sign will appear on it. Also you will only be allowed to buy one D-pad perk at a time.
