  1. The problem is that the game is a shooter. My natural reaction is not to get a BS instakill auto-aim lunge at a guy, it's to shoot my gun. That's the way the game should be. Either make it a two hit-hit melee or make so you have to take time to pull out the knife. Shooting a guy and getting a bunch of hit-markers and then having him simply click a stick once without even using ANY skill at all is frustrating as hell. That's why the knife, at least in the form it is now, just shouldn't fucking exist.
  2. I agree that they should just scrap the entire idea of having zombies spawn WITHIN the map. They should ONLY come from barriers. That's why Moon sucks so much ass. Most of the zombies spawn from the fucking ground! In Shi No Numa it made sense that they spawned from the ground because the swamp areas were supposed to be dangerous. But on Moon and Shangri-La the zombies just spawn from the ground out of nowhere and ruins the game half of the time.
  3. I think it would be quite ridiculous to make people get the limited edition if they want to read the comic book.
  4. I think classic maps should be free. And OP, learn the difference between 'off' and 'of'
  5. I don't even care if I offend you right here. You're a complete idiot. They haven't confirmed a single thing about zombies other than that it is the game. Calm down until you know more and stop jumping to so many conclusions.
  6. Ever think about the fact that this is a campaign only trailer?
  7. Classis. One game: "They aren't changing the game enough, give us something new!" Then: "Oh my god WTF they changed it too much! This isn't even COD!" I love call of duty, but the community sucks. No point in whining considering they can't change it now! Deal with it. Just because it isn't the textbook, straight forward call of duty we're used doesn't mean this trailer doesn't look epic!

  9. Based on the pictures I'm more excited than before.
  10. I highly doubt they would take a step back and only put one.
  11. I think they'll do what they did with MW3 last year where they'll put a little sneak peek of it at the end of the trailer.
  12. I'm not saying to get rid of boss zombies or rounds! Never mind, you all are completely misunderstanding my point.
  13. Der Riese and Verruckt are literally perfect. Those two to me are clearly the two best. Unfortunately the other great ones like Ascension, Kino, Shangri-La, etc., have something that just almost ruin them (perk monkeys, gas zombies, quick sand room).
  14. Yes, those blocking-my-path-dogs in Riese. Exactly what I hate in Riese, maybe what makes it to one of my least favorites. Of course I'm pretty alone with this opinion. But a Napalm or Shrieker, common, cool additions the game. They can be used as a cool trap to kill additional zombies and just take away the monotony. But what is more important? Feel is aboslute important for me, but it is too individual what feel is. Content is also a must for me, new challenges, new devices and interactive things, yeah. But where is the boundary? Those excavators on Moon are in some way content. But they also just give me the feel on the map. So for what shall I vote now??? It's feel, cause it's the more general expression, and it's including content. My point is just, i like new content, that offer more feel. Some are annoying, some are cool. But any content, that is annoying, needs mostly just a strategy to deal with it. For example, everybody complains about the lack of ammo and everybody complains about the annoying gas crawlers. But instead of getting the idea, that a single killed nova gas crawler kill can basically hit 23 other normal zombies is not discussed. Therefore, the more options you have in the game, the better. The more content the better. The more content, the more feel. But as said, it's just too individual. E.g. Riese has zero feeling here. Whereas this awesome jungle look from Shangri, or this Antarktis look in COTD, aww, that is feel. George annoying? Well, get a strategy for him and you're feel is back... You are misunderstanding what I'm saying. Im just saying feel is MORE important. Not that they should stop adding new weapons and enemies. I love new things, Im just saying that they are beginning to focus on them to the point that it is taking away from the feel. It is taking away from the amazing designs they used to create. They need to find that balance again. The feel of Shangri-La, COTD are very cool, but it is hard to focus on it when George is constantly getting in the way, forcing me to take a path all the way around. I'm not saying I dislike the newer maps, its just that they are straying too far from the original formula. Oh and INB4 "but they need to keep it fresh". They can do that while still staying true to the original formula. I'm simply saying they need to strike the balance they used to have. I still love me some Shangri-La once in awhile or some low gravity moon, but they just don't draw me back to them the way all the maps before COTD do.
  15. Am I the only one that feels a lot of the Black Ops maps were just not quite there? Kino had gas zombies, Ascension had perk monkeys (although that isn't terrible), COTD had George (quite possibly the worst addition to zombies EVER), and moon, well there are tons of things that ruin moon (namely the fact that most zombies don't even spawn from windows and that astronaut zombie). What I'm getting at here is that if the zombies developers want to do something such as adding George Romero they should have some sort of vote on their official website that fans can vote on and get our input on. They could easily do this without spoiling the maps. I mean COTD could have easily been saved by posting something on twitter or having a poll on the official website saying something like "Hey would you guys like to have a giant zombie that walks around the map and can only be killed after 1000000000 points of damage and stuns you if you shoot it and can only be calmed if you go out of your way to do so?" I'm sure most people would love the newer maps as much as the old if they didn't have things like that. Think back to the simplicity of Der Riese (the obvious fan favorite). No annoying zombies such as napalm zombies or gas zombies there to block you from taking the path you would like to take, good for run and gun or camping, the dark feeling, the iconic (well, iconic for COD) black moon above. Those are the kinds of things missing in zombies today, the genius design. My personal opinion is that they just don't do things that drastically change the feel of zombies. Focus more on the cool factor and making sure maps are good for multiple strategies rather than new weapons or enemies. Anyways, I just felt like ranting a bit because I've found myself playing the classis maps wayyyyyy more than COTD, Shangri-La and Moon. What do you guys think? Would an official poll answered by the hardcore zombies fans be worthwhile? Do you like the addition of content (such as perks, guns, enemies) over the focus on feel and design?
  16. -MORE in depth easter eggs? No, how about easter eggs that dont require four people -.- I always thought the idea of HAVING to have four people to do them was stupid. -Zombie storymode just doesnt fit, and zombie multipalyer...? Dafaq? There's normal multiplayer. -Being able to have more than 4 perks at a time kind of defeats the purpose. Usually you have to strategize what 4 perks you have based on the types of players you play with and the map and everything, so other than special ways (such as easter eggs or perk monkeys) you shouldnt be able to have more than 4. -There is stopping power, it's called the PAP machine. There are a few good things on this list but some of them are just ridiculous.
  17. Difficulty: 2 Setting: 1 Innovation: 4 Storyline: 4 Size: 3 The setting to me is most important, because Moon was pretty much ruined because half of the map was just like the same room 5 times in a row and barely felt like being on the Moon. I'm kind of mixing setting with feel.
  18. Big and wide open like Shangri-La? That sentence discredits any ideas of yours.
  19. A city street would be really cool!
  20. I know they always want to go bigger and crazier and stuff, and be more exotic or whatever, but I don't want that to go overboard (some people have been suggesting an Atlantis map... just... no.) I'm not saying these exotic locations arent cool, but I think there are some very simple locations that would be really fun to play on! -Neighborhood. What I mean is something similar to Nuketown, obviously darker and stuff, but with the whole street opened up. And you could open doors into houses. Imagine the cool easter eggs and bosses they could do on this! Going into backyards, maybe even a little park, would just be really fun. -Mall. I've always wanted to play zombies in a post-apocalyptic mall! Imagine the verticality they could create in this! -More labs (like Verruckt, Der Riese and Ascension) I just love the atmosphere of those maps, and honestly, that's why I love them, not because they're easy or anything, but because they have much more desirable atmosphere than say moon or COTD. -School. Many people might disagree with me on this one, but I could imagine this map being similar to Verruckt only bigger. A similar atmosphere but with a twist. -Mansion. This map could be amazing if it were done. Imagine a huge mansion, but it isn't destroyed, it's still all nice. Zombies would break through doors and windows. And maybe there could even be some secrets like underground tunnels! And you could go into the back yard and it would be at night, raining and thundering. It could also have some really cool story elements if it were like one of the characters houses. This could create an amazing environment Which would be a blast. Anyways, those are just some ideas that I've wanted since Zombies started, what are your opinions and what are some maps that you've been dying to see?
  21. Some of those sound awesome, some sound a little OP. woul this pack-a-drop cost a lot? And how many would you get. I think it sounds like a freakin awesome idea and totally fits zombies.
  22. That paragraph that starts with "As a result..." is exactly what has bugged me about the BO maps. Couldn't have said it better myself. Zombies jumping up 2 stories and spawning from the ground is stupid and ruins whole areas of the map. And I agree with the new zombies things. Fire zombies, gas zombies and ESPECIALLY the spacesuit zombie thing were stupid additions. It's unfortunate and makes me sad that they have changed the formula so much. I really hope they see this, and if they change anything, they should change what you mentioned in that paragraph, because it was spot on.
  23. Hey seeing as how you like verruckt so much on solo, I have a question. As I played verruckt WaW version on pc I noticed that the characters voice didnt sound like any I had heard before. He sometimes you messed with the wrong Marine but it sound nothing like Tank. who is the character? Peter maybe?? I don't believe it's Peter. I think the characters in that map are supposed to be random marines that were trapped there. As far as I know that is where Dempsey was captured by 935.
