Easter Egg Rewards

For the zombie maps in Black Ops 2, I'm hoping to see some more unique rewards for the Easter Eggs. Sure, the permanent perks are nice, but they can't keep using them every time because it kind of takes the excitement out of doing the Easter Egg if you always know what the reward is (plus, permanent perks kinda make the map WAY too easy...). Call of the Dead's Wunderwaffe was a great example of a unique and awesome Easter Egg reward. Not only did it give the player something new and helpful, but it also affected every game after that one (not to mention it gave players the ability to do the Easter Egg solo)! Treyarch needs more rewards like that one. Some ideas:

Death Machine

No, not the power-up. I mean a Death Machine, like that actually uses a weapon slot, and can be used as a regular weapon. When players get the Death Machine, it has 499 bullets in it. It can be refilled with Max Ammos. Also, it can be Pack-a-Punched to become the Devil's Hand. This upgraded version does immense damage, has 999 bullets max, and has slightly increased mobility (although sprinting is still not possible). Should a player lose this weapon after completing the Easter Egg (by way of trading it out for another weapon, dying, going down with Mule Kick, etc) it can be regained through the mystery box.

Chainsaw

Did somebody say melee weapons? This is just one idea of something that could replace the player's knife as an immensely powerful melee weapon. One knife kill up to round 20 or so.

Double Punch

Another thing I've seen heavily requested by fans: the ability to Pack-a-Punch weapons that have already been Pack-a-Punched! Upon completing the Easter Egg, the Double Punch machine would spawn in a fixed location. A weapon can only be DP'd if it's already been PaP'd. This would provide some more fun and an extra means of pushing into the higher rounds.

These are just a few ideas. Anyone else got anything?

Number 1 is definitely cool, as is number 3. I think that number 3 is one of the most plausible ideas. The fact that it is limited to certain guns would be great.

Double PaP could only work for wall weapons, but the second PaP would give a slight damage increase but more than double the ammo. The ammo would still cost 4500, but with more than double the ammo of a PaPed weapon, you are sure to make it up.

Designing camo for a 2nd tier of Pack-a-Punch would certainly be something cool. It'll be interesting to see how that would play into the storyline, with the Black Magic and such.

Honestly I think the Double Punch should just be the Pack-a-Punch machine. You PaP once, than after you get your weapon out, it'll say you need 20000 points, or whatever high number you need to PaP the PaP'd weapon.

Wasn't there some code in "Five" that had the word Chainsaw in it?

Maybe something pornographic? (being serious people).

They just need to write a female into it.. add a cutscene with a few variants maybe based on kills/rank/character etc. of the level of the scenes in ME3. In one scene there could be a bit of rotting skin fall off her to add a disturbing twist.

A Chainsaw?? Can we say ASH from The Evil Dead. That'd be pretty badass. Matter of fact, why don't they just get Bruce in for another celebrity zombie map in the next CoD. It would be absolutely hilarious! ANYwho, I think the idea of various new melee weapons is great.

The Double Punch ( that's what I always referred to it as too) has always been something I've wanted for awhile. Have it either unlock at a certain round (30?), after completion of the EE, or cost a significant amount more to buy. It'd be great for getting past the 40 plus rounds. I'd LOVE to see this idea brought to life.

The permanent Death Machine idea however does sound a bit overpowering. If you know how to work the power-up drops to your advantage, you can get guaranteed max ammos for a long time. You'd never run out of ammo for it. Plus with the addition of Mule Kick, you could hold onto the weapon forever. Plus being able to pack a punch it (what about Double Punch it?) would make it extremely powerful. It could most definately be fun, just not sure if it'd be too overpowering.

I would like to get a choice of one wonder weapon from the previous maps, as well as only the perks you haven't bought being permanent.

Explanation

Retro Wonder Weapon Armory

Apon completion of the easter egg, an armory would open. It's already in DOA so it would be easy to incorporate it, same music and all. It could be separated by something as small as the stairs on Shangri-la.(PAP) The room would include every wonder weapon from every map, but you can only choose one. Every player has their choice making for seemingly different gameplay every time. You cannot buy ammo for the weapon you select and once you select one, all others become inactive.

Perks you havent bought

It has been brought up quite often that all perks being permanent was a little too much or OP. What if only the perks you haven't bought became permanent. Apon completion of the easter egg the game would give you the final four perks and make them permanent. The first four would go away when you got downed. This would create a lot of challenges and strategies for the community. You COULD buy jugg now OR you could wait and never lose it. The permanent ones could be outlined brighter on screen or something, maybe a different color border.

You shouldn't get anything particularly useful, maybe some novelty but that is all. It should only give the story cutscene or whatever, I don't want to stuff around with a "crawler" every game running around thrpougfh all these "steps" just to get an advantage in the game. The greater the reward the lesser it is an easter egg and more a must do objective. Keep the easter eggs easter eggs I say.

I do not agree at all. They have plenty of story input in the radios, as well as through the easter egg. If you don't want an advantage you shouldn't do the easter egg. Think back to Ascension and the uproar they got for a deathmachine being the end result. We have already surpassed the difficulty of said map's easter egg with Shangri-la and Moon. They can't go back now. They blew up the earth and it gave us permanent perks. The sky isn't even a limit anymore.

Your're proving my point. People are now expecting some great gameplay advantage after running through some annoying amount of steps instead of just playing the game. Treyarch should concentrate on GAMEPLAY not forcing the player to "get a crawler" then run around for an hour or two completing steps while looking them up on youtube. Its detrimental to gameplay and stupid. Keep the easter aggs, but have it as thje story telling function of the map not a damn rewarded objective that people are greatly advantaged by doing as its removing the "mystique" and feel of the maps.

The easter egg is just another way to break the monotany. I can see what you mean though. People have definetly been devoting a lot of time to easter eggs. I don't find it detrimental, however. As, soon as the easter egg is done, everything is just as it was. Should they tweak it a bit? Sure, why not? It doesn't kill the feel for me though. After the easter egg I feel like I am emersed in the story completely, so why not be that much more ready for the next 30-40 rounds. You can always play the map normally. Set off the music and jump around for half an hour listening to a radio. I prefer to spend my time playing Sam says. Apples and oranges my friend, apples and oranges.
