I am wondering how I am the only one seeing the connection here! This journal entry tells us a few things but the FIRST thing that jumped out at me, was the fact that Maxis is NOTING RICHTOFEN'S CHANGES! Clearly this is after the NPD as Richtofen is going on and on about Time Travel. Maxis would not care for this nonsense because he was hired to work on matter transport and weaponry not theoretical quantum physics. Point is... Maxis only told us about his "Plan B" towards the end of BO and wasn't really elaborated on. We are learning the how and the why! More is obviously to come regarding journal entries and I believe that from Maxis perspective we will be RE told the storyline only be filled in on Maxis actions whilst away from Richtofen. After all we only know Richtofen's perspective so far. Through these entries we will most likely see Maxis' SECRET agenda unfold. One that could be far more complex than we realize if Maxis is realizing the threat this early on. He is skeptical of "the good doctor" but is watching his every move. The seeds of doubt have been planted!

The Ultimate Nuketown Zombies Loading Screen Analysis
zombo187 replied to MixMasterNut's topic in Asylum
ur the man! some of the stuff i already put together but i was hoping that someone could compile a database for loading screens! I can only add a few things. On the Bus station loading screen we see a poster of "The Bus Driver" and The Bus itself along with the quote "Come ride with us!". Some may argue this means nothing, but it makes sense and I personally view "The Bus Driver" as a character so it is fun to see his face. Also in the Bus Station loading screen there is a visible large explosion in the background. Some have said it is just background shrubbery but clearly appears to be fire. NUKETOWN The Der Reise quote from the jet fighter pilot seems pretty straight foreward if applied to Nuketown. Clearly the man we see in this picture IS the man talking. F.O.B. - In plain simple Military jargon this actually means "Forward Operating Base" which is a term used in combat most specifically when advancing into enemy controlled territory. A "F.O.B." is the temporary Base of Operations while in combat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_operating_base Also to me the drawing on the craft represents an object that was once buried underground or partially visible. Perhaps this is a fun picture that means nothing, but maybe at one point a child from a military base drew on it in the dirt when it was buried. These crafts we see behind the mystery man seem to be flying in some sort of formation. Perhaps they were sent to gather intel on the incident and retreive valuable possessions from the Bunker in Nuketown. Really great job man! -
"Biblical" Vril-ya or "Scientific" Vril-ya?
zombo187 replied to Mattzs's topic in General Zombies Discussion
HA i used to watch religiously. It rots your brain man ha. Even tho I am a believer no matter what. Anyway... The Vril-Ya are supposedly the master race of this planet. Alien to us, but have been here the whole time. I wouldn't concentrate on the biblical aspect. (even tho ive never heard it.) But in terms of game information, t+he Vril-Ya for all intents and purposes are superior beings that "influenced" the rennescance image of angels. As for the retreating to the center of the earth theory suggesting that they are evil, I would just note that According to the lore, the "Aether" exists inside of "inner earth". Essentially saying that heaven is inside of earth and the crysteline core contains our souls. This is just one of many inter twined theories tho as "inner earth" says there is an enterior world with oceans and a black sun and everything. The "Black Sun" is said to be where the Vril Energy comes from. Either way I dont believe that Treyarc stuck to the whole theories as they contradict at some intersections. so take any Vril information with a grain of salt. Ultimately the Vril-Ya will be implimented in treyarcs own unique way. So are they alien as in "Extra Terestrial"? No because they are from here. Can they be? sure. They have advanced technology beyond what we can imagine. Beyond the need for machinery in general. The NPD has no interface or electronic composure at all it just seems like a pyramid, but technically is advanced tech. The Vril have created "bridges" to the Aether (Another dimmension.) so they could be considered "god like". As god and angels exist in another dimmension or metaphysical realm. They also have the ability to give and take life as well as time travel. Ultimately these are just beings tho. They can die and be harmed same as us. So anyone calling them Aliens, Angels or just supernatural beings are all right in one sense or another. -
A New CoDz group (Discussions and Views)
zombo187 replied to DeltaFlame's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Its hard for me to not get a bit offended when I read this. I was briefly one of those ppl who was bashing people BUT I turned a new leaf and issued apologies. I came into this forum never having been on one before, and it is VERY confusing. I came for discussion and answers, I didnt realize there was a very strict and specific structure to the site. I didn't realize that my posts were in the wrong spots and labeled and structured incorrectly. I stepped on alot of peoples toes to say the least and offended some long time "senior" members. it was within the first week I was getting mail from Moderators that were bitching me out in the nicest way possible. Even if my record on this forum disqualifies me from being able to join said group, I think that it would be a fantastic help to newbies and even members like me who still may have some questions or need some help. for example I have no idea how to post images. No idea how to upload screenshots from my ps3. I don't quite undertand the icons or groups. Also as you said before, helping people in game as well as just making sure the forums are being correctly used. I have a few times politely msged people about incorrectly using certain forums and I feel like it is not my place to do so. I just wanted to be helpful to them so they didnt experience what I did. Great Idea I hope they implement it. I -
That name is quite misleading. You would probably have more luck in the team mate finder section and teaming up with someone who knows how or has done it. Otherwise there are tons of EE resources both here and on youtube that should answer your question. The most important thing to know is that Maxis will tell you what he expects of you. If the quote he says mentions energy and the spire, then he probably wants you to lure the "Electric Zombie" underneath the spire and kill him. Turbines can affect "Him" so that may be where your getting confused. Seeing others using their turbines to kill "him". I can't remember offhand so forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe that the turbines are primarily for placing at teleporters for the "trichotimus system" and I know thats probably spelled wrong.
-
I guess this is possible. Although in my opinion unlikely. Are you referring to character Archetypes? Or the characters themselves. Most noteable hole is that Richtofen is trapped in Aether and couldnt be reincarnated. I would love to see you expand on this theory a bit. Exactly what you mean seems a bit hazy. Although this game is full of WTF? moments and an extremely elaborate sometimes convoluted storyline, I don't believe they would go all "J. J. Abrams" on zombies like that. I refer to him because he is notorious for trying (and often failing) to mindfrak the viewer. Although I can see something along those lines taking place. Maybe the zombies storyline was once unified with WaW and BO (normal) Universe and all the time travel and paradoxes created caused a "rift" between worlds. Otherwise time traveling to your own future and then your own past would cause many anomalies in your universe.

Many people I knw have taken to calling them NOVA Jumpers. I know NOVA is not referring to anything involved with them in particular. More of an expansion on NOVA Crawlers.

Richtofen hears voices too and stu hearing SAM?
zombo187 replied to Ryan Nowell's topic in Story Discussion
This is part of the reason I am glad to have come into the zombie lore early on. Mass confusion. Hopefully I can help you out with a few things. For starters Richtofen did in a sense start out being manipulated, although we cannot say to what extent. He was hearing voices but if I recall correctly we never really get a glimpse as to what they say to him. The reference to "mindless flesh burritos" I have not heard myself but to me, clearly indicates that he knows they are being dictated by someone else. Perhaps because Richtofen has misled him in some way. I don't believe any of our party knows that Richtofen is controlling the zombies as most cannot even hear him. The Cult referred to as "The Flesh" speaks of illumination. To me, Indicating that they have ties to, or may be, The Illuminati. Perhaps this is just another religious Rite that has formed to prey off of the weak and frightened in times of desperation. (After all... mankind has never been above doing this in the past.) Either way the cult "The Flesh" seems to be recruiting to a certain extent. They are putting word out there that they are thriving when everyone else is perishing. Implying that they welcome you to join. They go as far as to denounce science AND god claim they have the answers. And apperently the answer is "Eat them before they eat you." The more sinister aspect of this for me, is that if they know that eating the flesh is poisoning them and possibly slowly changing them, allowing them to hear the voices, then what is their real intentions? They seem to me (my opinion) to be broadcasting false hope in attempt to lure others to their cause. Whatever that may be. As for this "super being" you mentioned. We cannot rule it out. Some are believers that Richtofen is the one speaking, but others believe that there is potentially numerous voices to be heard. i believe Samantha Maxis says when her and Richtofen switch bodies "There are far worse things than you in there." Also we have many variations of creatures at this point. We cannot assume that we have all the pieces when we make this puzzle. We have to take into account the fact that there will probably be dark areas we dont understand and connections we cant make. Also we can't simply make up connetions because we cannot find one exists. -
I can understand your skepticism. If we are being rational then a drop is in no way the same as the VR-11. But the VR-11 is still part of zombies and perhaps could have several implications for the story. Especially now when a cure or a zombie reversal weapon could be key to certain aspects of the story. I tend to throw theories in with my logic and I think this is confusing everyone but I believe CotD was a Russian site and was full of German tech. (correct me if im wrong.) Perhaps Maxis was secretly working on this while Richtofen was plotting against him. Richtofen was so infuriated with Maxis' distractions with his assistant or so he perceived that he began plotting to over throw him on the projects Maxis was leading. It is possible that Maxis' "Plan B" COULD involve similar tech or science to achieve the same goal. If all zombies on Earth could be "Reverse Polarized" then the zombies would become human again. We know that 115 both creates and cures the zombies and perhaps that Richtofen never even knew of it's existance as they were trapped durring this entire level. (CotD)

Can anybody confirm this??? I actually saw a video similar to this on youtube. I didn't think they were in the cornfield but rather running from power to town where the rail cars and cars are there. they guy had denizens on him as usual and went and sat in this corner and they stopped jumping on him and he explained he could just sit there and not be attacked. I can confirm that the glitch your referring to does work. I had aon online party with other members of this forum, and we just COULD NOT get denizens to attack us to make teleporter. They simply were not anywhere. Then about 10 minutes later, one of the party members tells us he was in the bathroom and was sitting in the "fence" location that I believe you are referring to. Not sure of THIS exact location, but I can say it works. Even if u dont want it to.

I would also like to add that Tesla and Reich were both pioneers of virtually the same aspect of energy. What we call Vril Energy. Also shortly after both of their deaths their possessions were basically burgled and destroyed. (EDIT* Reich wasn't even dead yet.) Tesla's safe was blown and cleared out by the CIA and even though they claimed to have taken the possessions, they now deny being involved. Reich was imprisoned and died in a cell because he tried to practice with a device he made that could harness this energy in a way to promote health on patients. Also as a side note: In the book "Vril and the power of the coming race." The Vril-Ya are described as beings of light that resembled Angels. I am and will remain on the fence about the "Electric Zombie" being a Vril captured long ago. Not convinced. But it is a possibility for me at this point. the electric zombie seems to harness environmental energy. This is not technically a zombie either. It is not being controlled by "The Doctors" either. If anything im saying is inaccurate please fill me in.
-
I would also just like to add that the Vril-Ya sustained themselves with a powerful and seemingly unlimited power supply called "Vril Energy". In most cases when you hear the term "Vril" it actually refers to the energy source and not the race or civilization. Right now we are seeing alot of influence from Nikolai Tesla with the spires and electric grids and such. Tesla was also said to be inspired by Vril Energy as was Hitler. Here is a few links to sites that inform of Vril Energy and Vril Generator. http://www.redicecreations.com/winterwo ... power.html -Vril Energy http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/Vril_Society.htm -Vril society http://www.sacred-texts.com/atl/vril/vrl00.htm -The Coming Of The Vril Race (Book) http://www.redicecreations.com/specialr ... reich.html -Wilhelm Reich

I know where your coming from, I felt the same way, but we have seen 2 different incarnations of a cure now. We cant cling tight to significance of one wonderweapon or weapon set and disregard others completely. CotD was set in modern times or pre apocolyptic times and they had the zombie reversal gun. (dont remember the name.) I dont blame anyone for not agreeing with my logic thats why the title is possible implications. Nearly every wonder weapon has a significant story line tied to it. Even metryoska dolls and gersch device. I think ppl are too quick to dismiss what seem to be clues to future events. I know that the turned game mode is prob not meant to be tied to story at all. But I myself have always wondered how the mechanics of being "omnipotent" would actually work. This mode gave me a little insight. I'm not going as far as to say that Turned directly ties into our storyline, but that doesn't mean we cant take some clues away from it. Franky it just makes sense to me. Although to play my own devil's advocate the cure is in the form of a drop which could imply that its magical drop like max ammo n all that and only really ties into the arcade sense of zombies. I like to keep my mind open tho.

in this video ( i recommend watching part 1 and 2 if you are unaware of hiddin secrets in Kino) there are mentions of Vril on a chalkboard at 3:00 and the reflection i mentioned is at 4:50. http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation ... HjwAmSQi_A these are just a few examples. Shangri-la being the largest reference there is.

After the introduction of Grief mode on zombies I realized that the game mode itself had subtle implications towards the BOII Zombies universe. It introduced warring factions of CDC and CIA. These two Agencies were for some reason at odds with eachother. I can only assume it is an outbreak vs secret intelligence dilemma involving the general "conspiracy" that comes with an event like this. Basically CDC is responding or investigating and the CIA is there burning any evidence. Although you cannot directly kill the enemy agents you can hinder them and make sure they die. So from a storyline perspective perhaps 20 years afer what probably seemed like an act of war against multiple countries and obviously devestated mankind, The US is still operating in some sorts, as well as the CDC. Then again these could be hypothetical scenarios just in a multiplayer sense that happened at any point during the devestation, either way, it tells us that there is potentially some form of civilization left or some form of populations hidden probably in bunkers. The bus driver never shuts up about them. The CDC itself has a MASSIVE shelter for emergency fallout that can support a large amount of people for dozens of years. That was just a breif summary of what I believed I got from Greif. Turned seems so much more interesting. If we can apply any of the in game mechanics to what is happening in the zombies universe, it means we are to understand a few things. -We see the second incarnation of a form of "cure" or reversal back into human form. If you recall CotD the Wonder Weapon actually turned zombos back into human CIA agents and the like. (even if the zombie wasnt wearing those clothes before...) This mode starts out fetching the cure and becoming human. - We see a seperation in eye colors representing different parties. Power struggle for cure? I don't have anything to really make of that but just noting it is in there. -zombos can see you no matter where you are. Ppl would speculate about that. Just confirming it. Also this mode in a way increases the significance of the Diner map. Now the location seems to have more of a purpose and this just seems significant because they purposefully denied us access too it originally. Also could potentially could tie into one of our main characters in some way. Stuhlinger may have once been a zombie that was granted a cure. He is hiding something... And all of our characters still have mysterious pasts often mentioning de ja vu feelings. We still have no idea who the "Electric Zombie" really is.... If we hypothetically assume that Turned Mode could be interpreted as A point where Samantha and Richtofen were both influencing zombies seperately, then how could we interpret the "electric zombie"? Perhaps a 3rd party. Maybe the Vril Ya (doubt it) or just a failed teleportation experoment that resulted in an electric man, that was just used as a battery for all these years. Perhaps Samantha/Richtofen is out there somewhere with Maxis Zombie and is trying to revive him into his physical form. It doesnt seem he has passed on to the after life like Gersh did in Ascension, He probably figures that if the cure is applied to his flesh then his mind will reconnect and they can stop Richtofen. Maybe this is the goal for everyone in the original game we lost track of, who knows. If Maxis and Richtofen are both controlling zombies seperately but equally, this would possibly justify why the zombies attack you, no matter what you do in game. Why would Richtofen attack you when you are doing his exact bidding? It seems as though they are BOTH playing coy with us "noobz" and not admitting their actually the ones attempting to kill them. So maybe you help Richtofen, Maxis attacks you, and Vice Versa. The introduction of "Cure" elements into the storyline implies that we may be at the turning point of where Richtofen is mad with power but forces are preparing to de throne him. And this is why Richtofen seems so desperate to do these things. Ahtough as I have said in previous posts, The EE Quests do not seem too different. We are essentially calibrating antennas to do similar things for either Doctor, so it seems we are using the same technology to do slightly different things. Athough that is only one theory. But a Cure could mean many things.
-
The interesting thing is that both doctors have made similar quotes now. In Die Rise Richtofen says something like his powers to affect such energies in limited. I am not entirely convinced that Maxxis is not just Richtofen playing a trick. By this I mean he is using both voices to accomplish the same ultimate goal. Thats just my opinion tho. I believe that they BOTH want to return to earth. So far both EE Quests are surprisingly similar. they dont feel too different.
-
We are assuming that the 115 is the key to hearing/understanding the voices( or just intercepting them.). Also it has been established that the Aether (For all intents and purposes.) belongs to the Vril-Ya. We cannot say richtofen is in the Aether alone, after all the tech that brought him to the Aether was Vril and Vril voices led him to the tech. If we revisit the ENTIRE storyline only "photoshop" richtofen out of the picture entirely, we would be left with a "richtofen shaped hole" made up of illuminati, teleportation and vril technologies. I know thats a complex sort of metaphore but im hoping you get what I was trying to say. They are there all along. In REAL Nazi history they are there. They were communicating something to Richtofen originally. The implications of which somehow opened his mind to new possibilities and allowed him to accomplish godly things. Thats all it took was a connection. Who knows what they said to him, but from what little he learned he was able to put together a very complex sinister plot for world wide domination. It is a bit of a reach but this to me is indicative of what Stuhlinger is experiencing with his time lapses and hearing voices. It doesn't seem to make sense in Die Rise that Richtofen would reverse time and start you over durring those events in which we now know are the events of Maxis Easter Egg quest. Why would Richtofen allow you to get that far when it is against his wishes? (if he truly has that ability to reverse time..) No, I see a coincidence. I believe this was a vision projected into Stu's head by someone (let's say) on the "115 frequency" to scare or intimidate stu into A making sure that doesn't happen and Russ doesn't get left for dead, or B to coerce those events into reality. Richtofen may not be the only one able to communicate but MAY be one of the only people that enjoys playing head games and possibly hearing himself talk. For example to simplify - To a child a police siren is a cool sound the cops can make and cause lights to flash in a cool way. To the police the sirens are a tool that serve a very specific purpose. Well we know one thing that 115 does effectively now is cause people to hear voices (along with other side effects.) so why can't we assume that this is an already established "115 frequency"? When all these events are happening that Richtofen can't control would he not just pretend it is business as usual to not cause doubt in his subjects? He is very good at misleading people as we learned in BO where he mislead...everyone right up until his plans were fullfilled. In the Nuketown loading screen I was referring to the large machines, the distant crafts behind the man's head, and of course the close up. There are also examples of vril reflections in the Kino map as well as other clues I cant quite cite at this moment. Richtofen only came into power and defeated maxxis because he abused the influence of the Vril and used them to vanquish his enemies and gain unworldy amounts of power. We also know from Shangri-La that the Vril were mining 115 from the earth. Well we know NOW that 115 cannot be found on earth at all. Except from meteorites that come into the atmosphere, technically where this all started with "Tunguska" and the likes crashing and causing anomolous effects I think them very important to future events.
-
Well it is hard not to imagine what the hell is out there any more. We have denizens, nova crawlers, dogs, monkeys, jumpers and the electric zombie. On the subject of the nova crawlers, I used to wonder the same thing. Were they being airdropped in? WTF is destroying th building? I stopped thinkin about it shortly after. I also have to agree that this was just a prepared WTF!? moment for the first introduction of a new type of zombies. Rumbling and noises to keep us on our toes. I dont disagree that there are other creatures that were created/unleashed tho so I for one will not be (too) surprised when we encounter a "giant zombie" or even a bird like creature that can spit crawlers. Just who knows for sure any more.
-
well that last bit seems to be agreeing but disagreeing on semantics, but this is asylum and if anywhere should hash out exact details I guess it is here. It seems to me that the original 3 (lets call them) and samantha are being left out intentionally. This tells me that they are still in play technically but are not to be thought of at this time. Things in zombies story arc can get very confusing, very quickly. Luckily I learned about all the secrets early in WaW otherwise I dont think I would even have been able to wrap my mind around the complexities and depth of the story line(s) in play. So for now we can only assume that if something critical happened to them, we will find out about it eventually and for now at least they want us in the dark about pretty much everything. We don't even know for sure what we are doing exactly in the EE quests. Even in BO we at least had a general idea of what we were accomplishing on a level by level basis. Even if we never found out what the grand scheme was till the end. I believe them to be alive until they show me that they are dead. They were after all characters that were fully developed with histories and motivations. I don't believe that they would meet their end so quickly or be written off so easily. I also remember the Devs saying a quote "The old characters will definately be coming back in new and interesting ways." I know this could refer to the two doctors but like I said, there is a story line unfolding they will tie the loose ends up one way or the other. For me its more of a "Where have they been, What have they been up to all this time? line of questions rather than wondering if they are dead or not.

If you say what you just said.... your clearly not above the age of 12. That is the only age where its funny to be an @$$hole for no reason. Once you get older and you have some lil $hlt doing it to you, I bet my bottom dollar that your the kind of guy that will go on forums and rage AGAINST trolls too. With age comes wisdom, and apperently common sene.

I think we need more evidence as of what year GR & GLF are set. I don't believe it's 2020's, maybe present time? Who knows? I'm lost on BO2 so far. There's 2 many reused textures appearing. What do we take for canon? I agree with you there. We have very little clues as to actual time frame. We know maxxis says hes been searching for decades in a quote. We know that we are at least in modern times. We also know that so far in the story line with teleportation often comes a side effect of time travel. Personally I believe that Green Run looks so rustic because after the nuclear projects at the Hanford site were shut down, the town began to decay. This does happen quite often in small rural towns. A school closing or merging with another near by town can often leave a community desolate. Also alot of farming communities like the look of old dated things. (dnt ask me way.) I live in a small country/small city area so I can understand that. We do however have advanced teleporter technology and stuff like that so I dont believe we can say we are in the past.
-
nuketown 2025 has absolutely no relevance to zombies. I say this because that is the name of the multiplayer map. In Zombies we see the classic nuketown layout and even Samantha in control of the zombies. I wouldn't go as far as to say it has no story line because it definately does even if its not too much. Nuketown zombies was thaught to be happening at same time as moon, so I guess there is a reference for frame of time.
-
I believe that the NAV card in a way "locks in" our chosen side of richtofen or maxxis. the first one not working because we have the option to do both. the new ee quest we are given a choice to decide between maxxis or richtofen. and although we can go back in different games and do one or the other, I believe for the NEXT dlc if we use our cards on the machine after doing an EE then the next level will have possibly only one EE. whichever one we have completed so far. just a theory tho no real evidence to support it.
-
I wonder if any of this would tie into the name of the ancient god on the candy bar wrapper in nuketown zombies loading screen. This feels like its close to the truth.
-
I only skimmed but really noticed EMP mentions. there is also another way. In the cornfield near the pylon there are rings around the pylon in circles. I forget exactly which but am pretty sure its the outer circle. if you travel around in the outer circle of the cornfield you will come across a broken corn stalk on the ground. directly across the lane or isle (the route we walk in) if you stand croutched against the barrier, all zombies on map will freeze including denizens. Essentially stopping time on the map entirely. Hope this helps.
