  1. Treyarc's not dumb. They know full well that as soon as the PC version hits stores that someone somewhere is going to buy the game and jump right into deciphering the code. If I was them I would fill it with so much disinformation mixed in that it would send the entire community who views the decoded file on the longest most drawn out worthless goose chase possible. It would be fun to watch them scrambling for answers and knowing that you put a bit of info in there specifically to waste their time would be entertaining. But hey I'm just a cruel person. Now this is not saying that Treyarc would do things purposely to waste our time but.. oh wait.. lol Just saying that's what I would do. The morality question is unanswerable in this circumstance. Is it right to decode the files? Is it wrong? No one can properly answer that. In the end it is a matter of opinion. Codz forums has to decide how they want to handle it. I will remind everyone that a lot of interesting information has come from this practice. Like the guy who explained how perk drops are calculated. (among many other things) I found that fascinating. Did it help me achieve anything? No. But understanding game mechanics is a positive thing in my opinion. That was brought out by decoding the source code. Using the code to find the next step of the EE or something hidden that was meant to be found in game. Well it's a matter of opinion, I'm more of a purist when it comes to my own opinion on this and I would rather discover it in game so I will not be requesting the code. But I won't be asking for the guys head because he has offered it. up, down, left, right, B, A, select, start - How many people have used this code before? It was ok back then.. 99 lives sweet ass! Well this guy isn't doing anything more than making it available and it obviously doesn't clearly give an answer or we'd already see the videos around. In the end like I said it's Codz admins and the players themselves who have to decide. Maybe they already have decided and realized it's pretty harmless and that's why this thread hasn't been locked and the ban hammer been exercised. Let's not point the morality finger at the code monkey, lets keep it pointed at the individuals who seek out the info. Personally I'd like to keep the code monkey on my side thanks. ;)
  2. Out the broken wall at power above the sparking generator is a broken radio tower. If you follow that straight across the road into the inaccessible area there is a very large generator with red lights coming out of it. You can see it as you run around the path from power back to farm. I'm thinking there is something relevant with this but have no idea what to try as it's out of the accessible part of the map. Treyarc has been known to hide things outside the map. (think Ascension generator, and Shangri la EE step) I'm thinking these red lights need to be investigated. (If you ever have a migration glitch with no fog you will be able to see the whole generator clear as day with the red glowing lights. That's how I found it.)
  3. I think you guys all missed the point of what he was saying. When you go to the tower (as far as I know) with no part in your possession the option to build the hidden table doesn't even show up. Once you check there with a part it shows up and you can place it. What I think he is saying is that we should try running around with a part from that buildable and see if the option to build shows up anywhere. For example. Grab the wooden board from the tunnel and run around the map and see if any places appear where you can start building. With the wood in your possession it might be possible that another location would appear and you can throw down that table and start your build.
  4. I wouldn't steer people away from Custom either. They both serve their purpose. Leaderboards aren't the only goal in the game anymore. I also feel custom acts as sort of a chat room/playable lobby. Friends will come in and out of my game all the time. I have one guy who pops in once a night, we talk a bit while he runs hordes in the tunnel, banks his money then goes to bed lol. I've literally had 10 different friends come and go during one game before. To each his own. We rally a dedicated group once or twice a week of those same friends (with nice plump wallets and PaP guns in the fridge) to go for a leaderboard run on public play but a majority of our games are in Custom.
  5. Through all of these great posts about the next step I have yet to hear anyone talking about this. In the circle going around from the farm to power from power to town in the centre is what looks like a huge generator with glowing red lights coming from it. Also in the power room is the one generator shooting power up the wires constantly. Following the downed tower on the top floor across the road leads right to the huge generator. I'm curious if any of these beams are interacting with any of this. I only noticed this generator in detail when I had a migration glitch and was able to walk around the map without fog. It was the only thing on the entire map that I hadn't seen before due to the dark fog. Not saying it is relevant, but it could be...
  6. Hellhounds are an afterthought. They're not in Tranzit and are only used as an option in Survival. I don't think they were lazy, I just think they were rendered irrelevant this time around.
  7. I like the idea of the character specific tasks. Remember the TV message that said the group had been split down the middle. That is clearly a tip. I'm thinking it may turn into a grief type situation pitting 2vs2 to battle for the power then their next step. Not sure how this will work but it makes sense. Curious, has anyone EMP'd the box when the sparkling Orb is on a gun? (red) or punched it with the galvaknuckles when it's a blue orb? I don't think those lights on the laundry mat door are showing up because he's shooting it with the RPD, I think they'll show up anyway. I think it's going to boil down with linking the beam up to other ones of the same color. If they are showing up because he's shooting it then obviously try more power, ray gun, PaP RPD, Hamr, double tap.. I would experiment with the Avagrado in the area and/or the thunderstorm in the area. (I still have a suspicion that the Avagrado may be Maxis himself but anyway) Just some thoughts..
  8. Something tells me that the no clip doesn't work like it used to.. Can't fly through walls and underground too much can you? If so then send me a link in pm cuz I have yet to see a true no clip video of Tranzit.
  9. I wasn't a part of all that so I don't really feel your pain bro sorry. I do however feel that the lights and sparkling orbs absolutely point towards more to do with the easter egg. I wasn't as clear as I should have been. I wasn't saying the light and the clocks are anything but something to look into. A lot of the threads I've read people gave up before the lights were discovered so it was more geared toward them really. I stay hopeful that there is more, I haven't seen any true no clipping of this map yet like blops 1 have you? Like fly through the barriers and walls... underground? If so link me up please! Without someone proving there aren't any more areas I haven't seen yet I will continue to search for something more.
  10. He said to wait 30 seconds for it to show up. I'll try to play with it tonight. I said a couple weeks ago something was up with the clocks. Anyway, there are 4 clocks in the bus depot. -By quick revive -above metal door -straight ahead up high after metal door is opened (these are all reading 7:49) The 4th one is showing a different time and is on the wall just inside the window by the building table. It's actually hard to see when all the boards are up. I would also like to note that inside the room after opening the metal door there are lights hanging from the ceiling. When the power is turned on one of these lights lights up. Check out what color it is. Happy hunting! I'll report if I find anything tonight. Lovin all the new stuff coming to light!!! All you who lost faith and said there was nothing more to be found until the DLC can EAT IT!! *ahem* carry on :p
  11. This actually looks like the spool that is in the middle of the Jetgun wires. Look close. (not the wires themselves, or the part we pick up but the spool right in the middle of the picture.) I think we may be on to something concerning the laundry mat so there is a good chance this spool will be found in there. Could someone link me to the video talked about above with the guy that glitched out and all of the interactable objects were missing? This happened to me but in survival, I'm just curious.
  12. Oh wow, they got their accounts deleted for using a glitch to get to high rounds? I don't think that its deserving for them to get their accounts deleted. Temp bans or just bans from Black Ops 2 may be better than deleting the account. I was in a lobby where these guys used a glitch to try get to a high round. I didn't do it, thank god that they died at round 12 I think he just means they wiped their leaderboards. Not that they deleted their psn or xbox live account all together. Legally they'd never be able to do that.
  13. That's why they don't like them. I mean they aren't breeding with the people, just hiring them. As for the quote, he was that about the German facility in general, not a specific anything that any specific person built. This just proves Richtofen is German. It doesn't say anything to whether Maxis is German or not.
  14. I gotta see this to believe it. As far as I know, nobody has shown proof any form of Doctor Flopper exists.
  15. I remember reading someones post where they broke down the mechanics of what triggers what in Zombies and perk drops are calculated according to total score whether you're solo or a team. Then when it's time for a drop it does a percentage roll of the different kinds of perks and then makes it appear. That's why sometimes you'll get like 2 insta kills or 2 max ammos in a row as the percentages even though smaller the second time there is still a chance for the same perk to drop. This is what I do to bank money. (Some of this is in Sluggos guide) When I'm running solo waiting for buddies to come online I play specifically to bank money. I buy the M14 and stay in the bus depot until the end of round 4 (unless it's going amazingly well then I'll stay till round 5) Note: as long as you don't open the first turbine door then the bus won't leave you. Open the door, hopefully there is a part in that little room then jump on the bus. I notice in solo you have more of a chance of getting the hatch for the galvaknuckles in one of the first two areas you open with the fan. (either in the bus depot or in the shed by the gas station) By now you should have approximately 5,000 or more points depending on how meticulous you are at getting headshots. Now here it is decision time. If you have the hatch and you can make it up to 6 grand then you can shoot for the galvaknuckles and stick around the diner for a couple rounds to hit the box for a good gun. This ensures that when you run out of ammo running hordes in the town you will at least have something to kill them with. And up until round 13 you have a way to accumulate a mad amount of points to throw in your bank. Option 2 is to use your money on the box and with a little luck you will get at least one good money gun (RPD or HAMR) once you have this hop on the bus and take the church shortcut to town. If you are super lucky and get an RPD on the first hit you may want to consider going ahead and buying speed cola before you take off. Once in the town with your gun you can still horde and make money for a few rounds before you have to get serious about getting Jug. By about round 10 you should easily have enough to open all the doors in town and get jug and possibly staminup. Anything after that you will want to bank. Now here's where you have to make another decision. Either you can wait for the bus to pick you up in town and ride it all the way around to power to turn your 2-3 perks on you have already bought. Or you can run backwards as I described in my post above to get to the power. (if you didn't get knuckles you may want to stick to the left of the path and grab the bowie on your way through) Kick the power on, catch the bus back to town and you're rocking. With max ammos still dropping fairly frequently and the help of the knucks or bowie you should have no problem racking up 20+ grand before having to think about pack a punching. Hit the bank after every round, deposit and start again. I find this easier to consistantly bank your money than risking going down with 10+ grand in the tunnel where the M16 is. If you have a round where nothing is going right, no hatch, no money, box is being an A-hole to you, then restart early and don't waste your time. You want to set yourself up with good money making guns and spend more time banking that coin. I also like to hit the box for the other LMG that I don't have at the time and toss it in the fridge for later. Hopefully this helps! Sluggos tips above are all bang on. You shouldn't have any problem building up your bank with either of our strategies.
  16. Sorry that was probably my fault. Can someone link me to the thread that contains the proof that Misty's name is actually Abigail? Thanks! Ok back on topic! Sham-on!
  17. Nice Pinnaz. On a quick side note, I missed the whole Abigail thing? Where were we introduced to her? What is her background?
  18. I dub thee "Zombie vision" That quote is still on Twitter with all the others.
  19. You know what though... it would be kinda interesting because the person playing Marlton would go against the group and refuse to help them complete the egg cuz he doesn't wanna get dropped. Would make for some interesting ways of the other 4 trying to force him to do something or trapping him somewhere. Kind of a 4vs1 grief style EE. I'm sure the ideas could go on forever on how to make it possible.
  20. To the people that are saying Treyarch clearly hasn't thought things out.. you've got to be kidding me. Just because you don't understand the logic behind what they have done yet doesn't mean they didn't "think things out" they just clearly thought it out so well that it's taking time to figure it out. The petition thread... I'm sorry but that's bullshit and I won't even click on it. I've seen another thread on here where the poster logically explains how he thinks it works and it's pretty good, I suggest looking for it. If there's any glitches or anything going on then it'll come out in the wash in the end. I don't think there's any mistakes by Treyarch concerning the ranking system and once it's revealed or confirmed at Jimmy's discretion everyone can facepalm and be happy. Until then it is what it is, don't let it frustrate you just play you some zombies. To the more important part of this post. OP made a mistake in combining the naughty word "rank" with his excellent theory on character specific EE development. As stated above there are many threads dealing with the rank stuff so lets not focus on that. Lets rename this thread to point towards character specific research and get to crackin. If there is any link between the two then its likely just the blue eye thing anyway.
  21. True, I did have a thought that we may have missed something when we first started playing after release. It was when Jimmy tweeted about zeros not being around much longer or something. My thought was something needed done while a stat like kills was still at zero. Everybody's first instinct is to kill immediately. Would be a good way to hide something. Then the leaderboards got reset to get rid of all of the zero people and I left it at that. Could still have some relevance though.
  22. Your group has two because two of you went into solo and picked up the same card. There is only one card and one spot. To the OP: I don't think they would do anything that would require making a new account to go back and get it. But that's just my opinion. I'm thinking the card has to be programmer somehow but who knows. Nobody has figured it out yet.
