  1. Or...maybe...it's the sound of meteors hitting unseen buildings?
  2. I don't know man but I was on the roof waiting for my teammates to grab the gas tanks after a pretty hardcore round where I almost went down, so I was already in the process of having my adrenaline wind down. So when I least expect it, bored as all hell I scope the DSR at what I think is a smaller island (and this was at 3am, lights out, volume high) and this damn face jumps out causing me for the first time ever playing zombies to nearly shit my pants in fear. I mean I'll get scared if I go red with lots of zombies around, but that's a fear of losing my guns and perks. This genuinely scared me on a map that is already pretty scary as it is. The Warden popping out right at my feet out or nowhere gives me a definite jolt as well. But man, this jumpscare had me and my bud freaking out. Well played Treyarch
  3. I want to be Tommy Vercetti....aka Ray Liotta.
  4. What about the chains clanking and gate being shut when you die? Could've been a hint. And Nuketown zombies, the music at as the map is loading sounds kind of like oriental music which I always thought was weird until Die Rise came out.
  5. Looks like a dog to me. heard a rumor that this will tie into moon (and the O4) through space travel...not gonna believe it till it happens, but it's entirely possible that time travel will play a role in this...because...why the hell else would those actors from OUR time period be in Alcatraz in the 1920's? Plus the trailer does say that the story continues in Mob of the Dead right?
  6. That's what I do but after 30 I leave for the Buddha room. Gets too heavy on the roof. And I don't even clear the debris on the ramp to the lower level.
  7. Do you still have claymores in who's who mode? Cause I definitely would've done that. I also did accidentally hit L2 as I was going down so in the process of hitting the floor I tossed a monkey but I accidentally threw it out the window.
  8. Question, is this happening to people as their is a consistent stream of zombie spawns still going on, or when you've kept one alive to replenish yourself? Because I never even venture towards the slide unless I've kept one alive for the sole purpose of boxing and it still, has never happened to me. On XBOX or PS3
  9. PDW Extended Clip (can get 4-5 kills per clip) Remington+long barrel Overkill Perk 1 greed Ghost+Flak Jacket toughness or cold blooded, depends on how my aim is that day Extreme Conditioning
  10. Success is born through adaptation. The game forces you to react quicker than you normally would at any range. Sure it can be annoying...but it makes COD multi more interesting.
  11. Who's who would be a ridiculous addition if it's two player. Player 1 goes down. Player 2 distracts the horde as player 1 picks himself up, goes to buy another who's who neglecting another perk of choice so that 4 can be retained=games would never ever end. Not gonna happen. Maybe tombstone. But not who's who.
  12. .85 KD Prestige 8 level 32 Wireless router being all the way across the house + bad KD's adapting to guns trying to get diamond camos+zero patience for anything other than rushing style of play=Not the best chances for good KDs, but when my connection is good and I'm using my preferred guns I can go +20 or higher in games.
  13. Teammate that was housing me in Utah was playing World at War. After two hours of all of us taking turns on multiplayer he busts out zombies and lets me play Veruckkt. First box get is a ray gun. we made it maybe 10 rounds. Someone bought me Black ops and Kino really hooked me in. Took me so many games to finally get used to the whole system.
  14. Either a quick breakdown of concentration that is just enough to leave me surrounded, over confidence and attempts of fancy chain methods normally not used, or there's been the occasional time where I've been downed rushing a power up. But for the most part I just break concentration and make the wrong move. Never allowed myself to die out of pure boredom. I value the work I put in more than that. That's solo. More often than anything else on multi, I go down in attempts to revive my teammates. I HATE being left to die, so I have a habit of doing whatever I can to save teammates, not just cause I hate having it happen to me so much, but because I benefit more from having my mates up.
  15. I like getting the illuminati reticle more....getting. Poor word choice. I've gotten it a whopping one time. Might be rarer than the bunny which I've had 5 times now.
  16. All the things that grind my gears in zombies Tranzit: too much work to maintain the kind of set up I want. Especially getting 4+ perks, building a near useless wonder weapon (versus how easy it is to build the sliqufier and how strong it is) replenishing ammo. The fire. Nuketown Zombies: Not being able to get juggernog quickly at times. Playing on solo can be extremely frustrating for that reason. Die Rise: Who's who issues. Elevators can be too slow, no real chaining spot in the power room floor section. Too easy to get screwed. Comparable to Verruckt, but at least on Verruckt you can use the entire map as a chaining spot. If you don't have an elevator car waiting for you on the high rounds you're basically screwed. Turned: Downs counting as real downs on the stats is ridiculous. Moon: That stupid...whatchamacallit.......excavator. If I have a hacking device, shouldn't I be able to hack the excavator to shut it off permanently? Ascension: Goddamn monkeys Shangrila: Whole damn map grinds my gears Call of the Dead: accidentally pissing director man off. Dude needs to chill. Kino: No complaints actually. Easiest map to exploit IMO. Simple chain spot+traps+PAPd thunder gun=money Five: Map design grinds my gears. Nacht: No perks Veruckkt: Idiots that exploit the off map glitch, screw up all chain flow, and leave you to die. Der Riese: No real complaints here either. I guess the dogs get pretty annoying
  17. It was a pain to get the nuketown map cos the maintenance. I know some people had an issue even after maintenance was complete. I followed treyarch to make sure i had a more up to date news source. Nuketown is fun, challenging though. Hope you have it figured out by now. I do. Man is it frustrating when Jug isn't one of the first few machines to drop. LSAT+HAMR+Ray Gun+Monkeys=awesome combo though.
  18. Never play with the Sliqufier so 37 to me is not bad at all.
  19. Never had issues with this. Only retarded deaths I've ever suffered were 1.) Jumping over to trample steam room, zombie jumps over at the same time, we collide in mid air, I plunge to my death 2.) Didn't realize my buddy put down a trample steam in the trample steam room, and he put it down incorrectly. Jump over not paying attention. Hit the trample steam. Launches me over back to the building, slam into the wall, plunge to my death 3.) Go down chaining the roof, who's who spawns me next to the two elevator shafts with an orgy of zombies waiting to take me down the second I stand up. 4.) Drop down elevator shaft in run to replace trample steam covering back window on roof. Zombie drops down on me mid drop, miss the wall ramp, no who's who or quick revive=game over.
  20. except for the slide death glitches Keep hearing people complain about this. Never happened to me. Had one game where a zombie jumped out as I jumped down the elevator shaft and made me miss my target, but the slide has never given me problems.
  21. Hahaha yeah. In my last Die Rise record setting game. What ended up being a round 37 finish could've been a 27 disappointment. Was camping the roof, and my joystick refused to allow me to sprint to reverse my chain. Cornered until I was in the red firing blindly and wildly at the two zombies blocking my way forward with the Predictive Death Wish until they were down. Thought for sure I'd get hit at least one more time (like mentally prepared myself for the game over screen), didn't, got away in the red. So I backed up. Claymores were keeping the swarm at bay while I was switching to the Porter's Ray Gun, turn around still in the red and blast away at the chain desperately until only like...3 were left and I was good and healed up. Decided at that point to make my move to the Buddha room.
  22. The way I play I'd never want to be on the roof without power on, so I'd never try this, but cool trick.
  23. Some context before I ask my question. Today I broke my Die Rise high score at 37. Was going great. Was camping the Buddha room which should be a terrific chaining spot, but I lost concentration for like a second reacting to something a friend said. Stuck myself on the cabinet in the corner or whatever it is. Had all perks, PAP'd Ray, AN, HAMR, Monkeys, and the works. Who's who at this point is much less preferred since it's so hard to pick myself up. Anyway. Go into who's who mode. Spawns me on the upper deck safely (thank god. One time it spawned me right into a crowd of zombies). Wasn't sure what to do. Tried running around for a while to let the who's who clock run down hoping that was a real thing. Decided I would try something new. Go up to upper deck trying to lure as many as I can from my downed body. Jump down and maybe the spit second where I was immobile screwed things for me, but in reviving myself I was just a split second too late in picking myself up. So I guess my question is, what's the plan if I go who's who in the Buddha room? I've been to high rounds on this map twice thus far and the first time I had who's who I just bolted out of the buddha room, bought myself the AK74 (dumb idea anyway, wasn't killing a damn thing) and headed right to the elevator by the Remington, which thankfully had an elevator car just about to go up. Had one zombie stuck in the shaft with me and was running the circles around it since my bullets were just being absorbed. Now I'm not sure if I was taken down or just ran out of who's who time, or if I just went out of range, but on my way up the shaft, my downed body just got back up but was missing QR and Who's Who. Is there a set limit of time or was I taken down? Because I definitely had quick revive in this last game. If there is a set time limit then I'm definitely just gonna keep running chains until I get back up and hope that the crawler free perk gives me Quick Revive.
  24. As of today? 32. And I know I could have gone farther too. Make it to 29 just camping the roof, works out for a while but round 28 proved to have a ton of close calls. By that point I already had PAP'd Galil, PAP'd AN-94, PAP'd Ray Gun, Galvs, Monkeys, Claymores, all 6 perks. Migrate to the buddha room. 29, 30, 31 go great for the most part. Close to the end of 31, I lose focus and break my habit of hugging the edges of the room and weave through the middle, break the chain flow and I get surrounded, try blasting forward with ray gun a little too late and accidentally down myself with splash damage. This is only my second down at the time. Who's who picks me back up on upper deck of Buddha room, bolt straight to the elevator next to Remington, thank god the elevator was there ready to take me up. Now I'm not sure if I was downed or if I took too long to revive myself, but my original downed body just got back up. All weapons still intact, but only have Jug, Speed Cola, Double Tap, Mule Kick. Finish round 31. Finish most of round 32. Lamentation proving to be a bullet drain at this point. Time to upgrade to LMG in that slot (never once considering I could get through a whole round with Porter's ray gun since round 34 was gonna be nova crawler round). Get RPD. Hooray, time to go back to roof to pack a punch, and grab trample steam for upper deck window cause why not. Head down to elevator drop shaft. Make my first jump. Zombie jumps in my way at the exact same time, fall all the way down. Game over. Fuck my life. Didn't feel like doing another game.
