  1. I think that that theory is definitely possible just because we know so little about what happened and what can happen to a person in the MPD and what their powers are. Based on the emotions and level of intelligence, I've always felt that it was truly Maxis in the computers, but I know that quite a few others have believed it is actually an AI system.
  2. You can no-clip on Shi no numa and there is writing on one of the walls on the outside of the map where a zombies spawn is that has Tunguska just written on the wall (http://i35.tinypic.com/2aaliqb.jpg) and some of the words that flash by in the teleporter on Der Reise mention Tunguska. Not to mention in Shi No Numa at the end of the radio that is sent to Peter, it has the coordinates to the Tunguska Event.
  3. Yeah if I am getting the Spectre a bunch I'll take it just because. I feel like, as long as it's not a super high round, I can use throughout the round and get some sick points so I can head back at the end of the round to the box again and switch it out. L96 is for when I am just having fun, and any explosives is for when I am taking lead on Ascension at the top of the stairs.
  4. Mentor... this is tough. I'll go back to the beginning. The first four Zombies maps ever, Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese, I taught myself. That isn't saying much since the latter 3 of 4 are under round 10. Nacht der Untoten however, is at around 19 I think. I just tried different things to see what would work. Then Black Ops came along, with all new maps. Dead Ops Arcade was one I never had a mentor on, but all the rest I did. When Kino was being played, I'd go to help from my friend down the street. From here out, it became pretty singled down to one man, MrRoflWaffles. When FIVE came out, I played with him and he showed me some fun glitches and ideas to mess around with. Then Ascension came out and he directed me to a video by Syndicate, who I had never heard of at the time. That got me to where I am today on Ascension, but I can't stand playing that map anymore because I know I'll survive for quite a while. Then when Call of the Dead came out, I saw Waffles' video on training by the lighthouse, and that helped me immensely. I was lucky enough to get in a game with him later on and we performed the Easter Egg, and I was lucky enough to know how to play the map because of that guide he had. His cooperation with the EE got me over 1k subs in under a month too, so I have to give him thanks for that one. As for Shangri-La, I have tried to teach myself but it hasn't gone so well. Same for Moon, I've played that map a collective 3 times maybe because I get so frustrated with it. Right now, I am trying to get the help of Ehjookayted and have him be my mentor so I can have enough skill to play on maps for a decent amount of time. When I play on maps, often it is because I am looking for storyline clues, and I can't look around an entire map if I am always dieing in the first 10 rounds, so I am hoping to get much better at gameplay and zombies, hopefully with help from Eye and anyone else who is willing to help.
  5. This thread will now be locked... Hehe I'm kidding I personally don't like it because I feel that the higher rate of fire, the more bullets I am wasting. I know that sounds really dumb because I'm not wasting any bullets if I hit them all. Generally, it feels to me that with weapons that have a higher fire rate, they have lower damage so it takes up more ammunition to kill the zombies. It's kinda like the spectre and HK-21, I understand that they are much different in types of weapons, but I think the example can still apply. The Spectre has a very high rate of fire, 937.5 RPM to be exact, while the HK-21 has 535 in Zombies mode. Yet, the Spectre only deals 90-50 damage compared to the HK's 150-110. In the end, I think it comes down to whether you are willing to sacrifice damage for a higher rate of fire, and at the moment, I am not.
  6. I think that because you start with a handgun, and an M14 is always readily available, it's just unlikely that many would buy a handgun off the wall unless they are performing a challenge of some kind.
  7. I'd like to see teleporters, dogs, and the original four characters back. That is my dream, because they are what started this whole thing in my eyes and it would be kinda wrong to not stay with the thing that started you, in my opinion at least. If classic mode has those things, then I'll be happy with Zombies mode, gameplay wise. I'm fine with new types of Zombies, but only if they explain how they came to be. Story wise, I want to see more secret quotes from the characters that give away bits of the story, but are only noticable to those who are really paying attention.
  8. I'm personally fine with almost any idea they throw at us as long as it doesn't take abunch away from classic zombies mode. If that is included, everything else is a bonus that you can choose to play or not to play. Tower defense doesn't sound appealing to me, nor does co-op missions inside Zombies. I also dislike the idea of "more survivors" because that could mess with the story very much and make it all sorts of confusing.
  9. However, you are giving false ideas of what people should expect in the thread. You are leading them to something that is not there, as a staff member, I recommend you change it.
  10. Hmm, you are right sir, you have proven me wrong. [brains] These notes mess with so much, it's hard to take them seriously due to their placement. Like, they say 1975 on maps in the early 60's, some of them are projected backwards on walls, but there are so many of them that they must be important. You find the note four times on Kino, and I think twice on FIVE, and now once on CoTD. Someone must be going around and messing with something, but whoever it is is making themselves known because the person who wrote the letter is not the traveler. The writer is warning the reader of the traveler, so it's an odd note.
  11. As posted by dch viewtopic.php?t=6789 Well the OP says it isn't the same text as the one you have linked. I always thought there are two different versions of the note, but MonopolyMac informed there isn't. In that case, I guess your post is right, but sadly the guy you quoted scribed the image incorrectly. (Sorry if that sounded snappy, it wasn't supposed to )
  12. The zombies part of GKnova Mega facepalm there. We aren't referring to campaign, which was what GKnova was primarily about. Now, the ZOMBIE reveal that came from gknova, that was in september/october. You don't think it had to do with Zombies? A good portion of GKNOVA6 was Zombies bro, so don't facepalm me. Feel free to use a bit of courtesy when you post and not be so harsh to everyone about everything. In April, they had GK videos that were 1 minute and 15 seconds long, 1:15, there's a hint to you. They got messages about how "Hell is Purple" and no one has really made a connection to campaign for that, but it's possible to in Zombies with Aether. Is that all circumstantial? Yeah, but the following isn't. In May, CoDz got the briefcase. In case you were wondering, CoDz is the Zombies site that Treyarch looks at and we got things as early as May, so technically it started May at the latest, not in September or October like you say.
  13. I got the L96A1 4 times in a row once haha, it really sucked.
  14. I think that we'll just get a glimpse of them talking about the new modes and they will reveal new modes and just repeat the same old "bigger, better, most ambitious" zombies stuff. But I think we'll just get new game modes and a bit of gameplay perhaps.
  15. GKNOVA6 was actually in April not September/October, and it was a viral found on a USB drive. I think something could happen on June 21 since there is an Eclipse on that date and Black Ops 2 codename is Eclipse, and Treyarch tweeted to "stay tuned" so something must be close.
  16. Yeah I was thinking that he'd confirmed this already, at least I wasn't the only one thinking it.
  17. Call of the Dead takes place on March 17, 2011. That year is an assumption based on the characters and their age. In my opinion, Shangri-La and Moon happen after that Call of the Dead, and Moon comes in on 2012 and fulfills the Mayan prophecy. Some disagree with that and think that because of the outifts on No Man's Land, it has to be happening in the 60's. Even if that was true, the prime rule of time-travel is that everytime to time-travel, you go into a new reality and the previous one's you were in become unaffected by your future choices. Therefore, even if Moon is before CoTD, CoTD would not be effected because they are in a new timeline. I hope that makes sense.
  18. Hmm, that is really interesting. That note is there in 2011, and in Kino in '68 and FIVE in '63. Romero says that he found all sorts of documents there, maybe they came from CoTD to Kino and FIVE? I don't know,I'm just spitballing ideas. It'd help if you could get an image of the one in CoTD please.
  19. Well since they are now running the Zombies modes on the multiplayer engine, it clears up space elsewhere where Zombies used to be I think. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's how it works. So now, with that extra space, no matter how minute, they may be able to fit a campaign in there.
  20. I agree that it would be odd with only Dempsey, I was just saying that is the only one that is listed thus far. And I would change the title too, it makes the most sense to in my opinion.

  22. I noticed it but I'm not sure what it means, if it does at all. I'm thinking it may just be a hint towards the general zombies theme. Was that image in Sam's destructive room or in her clean room? That might help, because I don't know why she'd have it if it was in her clean room, but the destructive one gives me a zombies and 115 feel, so it doesn't surprise me that they'd be in there. I hope that made sense haha.
  23. I'm thinking that for this game, what I want to see is some things cleared up, but I find that kinda unlikely. I think that we'll be progressing Zombies into the 80's and going from there. I think we'll see the progressive strenghtening of America's research in Zombies and weapons and things like that. I'd like to see more explanation on Kino and its time frame, because that's all messed up. I'd like a bit more background in the characters that aren't Richtofen, just how they came to be I suppose. However, I am satisfied with what we've been given so far. If nothing is about Group 935, I'd like to see them expand on Group 601 and HAARP and how they effect the Zombies world.
  24. Welcome to the site! I hope you enjoy your stay and if you have any questions, just ask! - Tac
  25. Uses the word clan a lot... Nazi Zombies ELITE here we come, I expect them to have Zombies inside ELITE somehow. As well as Theater Mode. Yum... :D
