  1. I'd like to give this a try. I think if you can get all the wind staff parts on the first 3 passes of the robot, you're shaving 10+ minutes off the time right there. And like you said, having to wait til round 10 for the ice staff is a deal breaker. Ideally, at the end of round 3 in your plan, ice and wind should be able to finish their puzzles in the time it takes to get the 3 lightning parts. Also probably a good idea to turn all the switches for the lightning challenge as you make your way through the map, instead of all at once. This way, you've got all three puzzles done before round 4 in just slightly longer than the time it takes to make a full trip on the tank.
  2. Very good, very well thought out. The problem I have with it, in addition to what Naitrax pointed out, is that Maxis's stated goal at the end of Buried was to reach Agartha and destroy Earth and all life on it. I'm not sold on him trying to go back to Origins to rewrite history.
  3. That's been going on for a minute. I thought about posting it over here, but it just seemed so vague. He claims that it has happened in multiple games, and that they were able to get two more elemental zombies as well (lightning and ice maybe? I forget). He also said that the elemental zombie could only be killed by its corresponding staff, which would seem to rule out "graphical glitch." That being said, it's kinda hard to make out what's happening in that video, and somehow his in-game video always cuts off before the zombie shows up. And of the hundreds of people who stream or record their games, no one else has seen it. If I had to guess, I'd say it's a common occurrence misidentified as something else.
  4. Got around to uploading video of this tragedy.
  5. Yeah I've been running into that. Anytime you enter a lobby for Origins you're immediately met with a flurry of questions and demands.
  6. I find it almost impossible to play without a glass of whiskey. In the summer, sometimes I go with beer. I do most of my heavy, late-night drinking playing video games, not going to a bar. I have one chair that I sit in and I'm always leaning forward. I can't sit back in that chair. or sit on either couch. When I play zombies I almost always listen to Right Away, Great Captain. The other 10% of the time it's Drive-By Truckers.
  7. Yep, that's exactly what happened.
  8. Aside from the feeling of nostalgia I get when playing the BO I maps, I think BO II zombies is better in almost every conceivable way.
  9. Last night another player and I were camping in the Jug hallway. I was using the Paralyzer, and he got in front of me a little bit and jumped, which gave him a boost into the air. All of a sudden, "Game Over". I could see if the game would kill him thinking he was trying to get into a glitch, but why would it kill me, standing on the ground? Anyone have this happen to them?
  10. The reason you have to do it in the robot is because you never actually die out, the ejection happens first, but the game doesn't have a way to account for a downed player being ejected When you get it, it's pretty obvious it's a glitch. The knife animation and the zombie death animation don't match up at all.
  11. For whatever reason I could never do it with the Paralyzer. PDW is definitely the way to go. The one spot that got me at the candy shop was the two passing in the window. My bullets would always hit the framing in the glass. I'm also happy to help anyone who wants to do the Buried EE. EDIT: On topic, I haven't pushed the button yet. Certainly something I would like to do. I still need to switch my Die Rise back to Richtofen.
  12. On TranZit, building the pack-a-punch with the battery from the power station gives you a max ammo every round. The first time I heard of this, we did indeed get one every round, up til 40 or so when we quit. But the next time I tried, we did not.
  13. Certainly Tombstone. I go down too much. I don't think I know what half off is though.
  14. I got the one on Bayview completely unintentionally, and a message popped up saying I had found 1 of 4 Extinction Easter Eggs. Good to know what that was, I was pretty confused.
  15. I came on to make a post about looking for a clan. Request sent.
  16. So we've seen that the icons light up based on the EE side you've done, orange for Maxis and purple for Richtofen. Both of mine are lit orange. The problem is, I never did the Maxis side on Tranzit. I did both on Die Rise, Maxis being the last one. It seems the colors are based only on the last side you've done, on any map.
  17. I did this last night with 2 players. We got to 25 or so and then just ended the game because it was late. Great spot. Dare I say, perfect spot.
  18. The guillotine is for Richtofen's side. Up in the tunnels above the town there is a jagged rock that looks like a piece of "the crag" from that show Guts on Nickelodeon. Adding that triggers a quote from Richtofen.
  19. First impression of the acid gat PAP'd Blundergat is it's my favorite wonder weapon.
  20. For the record, I compared games with a guy I played with today, and the achievements we both got together only displayed for me. So they're not lying, there is a glitch.
  21. One of the parts for the plane looks very similar to what we thought was a film real.
  22. This happened in our game but only one person could see it. As if someone was down and in afterlife but no one was. That's as much as I know. As far as getting back to the bridge, you collect fuel canisters in the places that the plane parts were previously, to refuel and get to the bridge. Lastly, our theory while we were playing to "break the cycle" was to die out on the bridge, not return by electric chair. Unfortunately we weren't able to get back a 4th time to try it.
  23. That was the only multiplayer mode I played. I'm pretty fucking mad about this. Anyone else play it a lot? I'd guess they got rid of it because it was the least played, but who knows. Guess I'll move on to Domination.
  24. You're just arguing semantics. What was the photo in Der Riese depicting a lighthouse and crashed ship if not a hint at Call of the Dead? In fact, wasn't there a photo in Der Riese that looked just like the stage of the Kino theater, but with a tarp over the teleporter? So your reasoning is that it wasn't a hint at the next map because it might not have ended up being the next map, even though it was? That makes no sense. Treyarch does, in fact, "hint" at the next map. No a "hint" doesn't necessarily mean "THIS WILL BE THE NEXT MAP"... that's why it's a hint. They don't have to follow the course they've hinted at, but it's still a hint. For example, they have hinted that there could be a Paris map. Probably because they originally planned on making the final Black Ops map Paris. They changed their mind. Doesn't mean the hints weren't hints. I swear sometimes you seem to want to start arguments just for argument's sake. You're trying to disagree with him by saying the exact same thing he did. "Argument for argument's sake."
