  1. I did Richtofen's side of the EE a week or so ago with two of my friends. We've played a few games since then and I see the orbs around the box weapons constantly... but they both claim to have not seen them at all yet. Last night we played to round 24 and hit the box quite a few times each. While I saw the orbs every few times I bought the box (and occasionally when they did too), they never saw them. Things that may be relevant; these games have all been "custom" on "original" difficulty. I was host on all of them. And one thing I find really interesting... neither of them have ever picked up the Navcard by the Depot. Probably is totally unrelated, but maybe not.
  2. You... haven't played very many video games, have you? The worst in any video game you've ever played? Reminds me of those people that say "The graphics were so bad it made my eyes hurt" about every other game that comes out. Funny, because I remember playing NES for hours without any eye problems, but just looking at Modern Warfare 3 for 10 minutes seems to cause serious eye injury to some gamers. Go figure.
  3. Thanks. That might be helpful to people trying to complete his in the future. I figured as much, but after trying twice with only 2 out of 3 using EMP's and failing both times I was starting to doubt it was possible. Though I think the game may have glitched... we kept getting Richtofen's "No, all 4 simultaneously!" quote repeatedly for 5 minutes after we threw our EMP's. Fortunately we did get it to work with 3 of us all doing it. I think we may attempt Maxis again tonight... if I find any answers to my questions about his side I will post them.
  4. Forgive me if this has been asked/answered before, but I've tried searching the forum as well as Google and cannot find an answer. Where exactly does TranZit progress save to? Is it saved server side, or somewhere on your hard drive? I checked the files for Black Ops II on my Xbox and didn't see any kind of game save, only DLC and the game install (I've never played campaign, BTW, so other than TranZit there really wouldn't be any game saves). The only reason I ask is because I want to make sure my EE completion/stored points/stored gun don't disappear if I clear my HDD cache. I would assume it would be saved on their servers like your multiplayer progress, but I wanted to know if anyone knew for sure before I risk it.
  5. This should probably be re-done. Some of it is confusing or misleading. For instance, it initially says that 4 players are needed, but later says how to do it with two. Also, it is now known the table is not necessary for either side of the EE (I won't say "told you so"... ok, well I guess I kinda did by saying I'm not gonna say it... but yeah ). More importantly, I'm finding the Maxis guide confusing. So you do have to put two turbines down under the tower with 4 people, but it's not necessary with 2? What if we're trying to do it in a game with 3 people? I've heard conflicting things about taking out the Avo- erm, "Electric zombie" (sorry, don't wanna make someone nitpick rage with a "THAT'S NOT HIS NAME OMFGWTFBBQ" post). Does it definitely have to be done with an EMP, or can the knuckles be used also? Again, I've heard people say different things about this but have seen no confirmation either way. Also, are you positive the two turbines at the end have to be done a the depot and diner? NGT's "Step 37" video shows Spider putting one down at the cornfield and successfully completing it. I have also heard Maxis' side can be done in any order, is this true? Another big question; can Richtofen's side be done in a game with 3 or 4 players by using the two player method (as in, having two players with EMP's throw them down and teleport, etc)? We tried it in a 3 player game and it didn't work... but it's possible my friend was waiting too long to throw one of the EMP's down. Once we tried it with all 3 throwing down EMP's and teleporting it worked. Don't take my post the wrong way, I totally appreciate the effort into writing this guide and I know you've made effort to keep it updated. But concerning how much has been learned since the game was released, I think it would be useful to completely re-write it in a less confusing and more complete way. It may take work from the community to verify different things, too... with video proof of what does or does not work (I keep hearing explosive weapons are/are not needed for Richtofen, for instance). Again, just trying to do Maxis with two friends using this guide has been frustrating.
  6. Eh, it's got its good and bad. Good; The concept of build-ables Big map in TranZit mode The concept of a rideable vehicle "Easter egg"/sidequest with two paths Nuketown, while small, has a great look and feel to it The concept of multi-Pack-A-Punch Galvaknuckles are BAD ASS Zombies theater mode Custom games Saving points/guns from game to game. Bad; TranZit mode is big... but it's mostly empty. Just a collection of small play areas connected by emptiness covered in ugly fog. It makes the map feel like mostly padding... like they made it big just for the sake of saying it's big, when it could have easily been a fraction of the size. The bus sounds cool in concept, but the reality is too much waiting around, and the result is often a very slow-paced game that can be very, very boring at times. Both sides of the EE are short and have no epic rewards. Having to open the PaP every time you want to use it... again slowing down gameplay and making things unnecessarily tedious. The execution of multiple PaP is awful. Mostly useless attachments.... oh joy. No damage increase, no ammo. The community has come up with MUCH better ideas for how to implement such a mechanic. The survival maps (except for Nuketown) feel like an afterthought. Just take one of the small areas in TranZit mode and throw in a few perks (or not) and a PaP machine (or not). The customization for the games should have been deeper. Perks and PaP available on every map if you want them, for instance. Skipping out on 3 of the perks added in the last game is extremely disappointing to me. Why are we taking things backwards? No new Wonder Weapon??? Seriously?! And yeah.... the fire. Everywhere. So annoying. I dunno, that's just off the top of my head. Black Ops II Zombies has been fun, and I can probably say I've gotten my money's worth... but overall I'd have to say I've been pretty disappointed. And please.... before you flame, remember the OP asked what we thought. He didn't say "praise the game here". So I'm offering my opinion, which was requested. Just wanted to point that out before people jump on my case for not thinking it's the best thing ever. Edit; I should also point out... I do understand why some elements (like the EE reward and the amount of perks) were tame compared to what we became used to in the Black Ops DLC. They have to have something to build up to. I get it. It's like a July 4th Fireworks show (for my fellow Americans). Even if you go to a place that has a bigger and better display every year, they aren't going to start off bigger than the previous year's finale. I get it.... I really do. I still don't like it, and I still expected more.
  7. Isn't that DLC tab for things like camos and cards for Elite members and those who got the Special Editions? I'm pretty sure that's where my Nuketown Zombies calling card is, and my CE camo. I could be mistaken, though.
  8. This. Whoever has the most points in the end wins. (Most Likely) Yeah... seems pretty obvious to me.
  9. Ummm no. A fallout shelter has a nuclear symbol on it. That's like saying the "golden arches" isn't a symbol for McDonald's, it's a symbol for French fries. Fallout shelters prominently display the symbol for "Nulcear" because it's an instantly recognizable sign that transcends language. That way when someone sees it, they would know (in the event of an emergency) that "This place is a shelter for nuclear fallout."
  10. I started using Monkeys and it always works.
  11. You know, I had an idea that I posted on an NGT video a few days before the new song EE was discovered; Regarding the symbols on the Nuketown sign.... Bicycle=Bi=2, Trinity=Tri=3, Atom=the counter on the sign, Nuclear=the Nuke drop, Fallout Shelter= the Fallout Shelter. So... wait until the sign is at 23 and the drop in the shed is a nuke. Grab the nuke, then have someone immediately knife the fallout shelter. Lo and behold... a few days later it is discovered that picking up the drop in the shed while the counter is at 15 plays a song. So, my idea that the counter and the drops in the shed might be related was correct, at the very least. Now, I did try this on solo and nothing happened... but you might need someone to knife the fallout shelter immediately after the nuke is picked up, or at the same time. I had to run all the way across the map. You also might need to wait until after round 25. And one more thing that I'm just throwing out (and I seriously doubt this is the case, but I feel it's worth mentioning)... Jimmy Z's hint. Points, wait, continue to work. Well, you need 3000 points to open the shed. Then you need to wait until the 23 coincides with the nuke (and possibly until after round 25) and then get to work. What if you get the correct navcard for Green Run Tranzit by completing the Nuketown EE? Yeah... highly doubtful, considering not everyone has that map. And I think his tweet was saying to wait until DLC anyways. But it still kinda fits.
  12. Yeah, apparently depending on the order in which you activated the teddy bears, you could get Carrion, Avenged Sevenfold, or the horrible Skrillex song from Plaza that says "Imma try it out ok" six thousand times. The latter two were removed in a title update.
  13. About the "underground train" sound.... I uploaded the video of that sound orginially, and at this point I'm almost certain it's just the sound of the bus moving around the map. The reason I believe this is because I hung out in the town with the bus and the last zombie EMP'd (EMP'd the bus twice in a row) and never heard that sound at all. I heard a lot of weird noises, but never heard that "train" sound while the bus wasn't moving.
  14. Man, I was saying since 2 weeks after the game came out that we probably didn't need to build the table for Richtofen's side of the EE, but all I got was people arguing with me and saying things like "Every video on youtube says to build the table. It HAS to be built." and "You need the meteor on the table to heat up with the jet gun!!" Glad everyone's finally realizing I was right.
  15. Yeah, I've heard this quote too. Never seems to change anything in-game.
  16. Which is why he says points "or whatever you call them". Points because the DLC will release on Xbox first, and that console uses a points system. "Or whatever you call them" because others will buy them with money/credits. Just because you interpret something different than others, it doesn't make you smarter or everybody else stupid. Get over yourself.
  17. OP, I did the exact same thing as you once. Not round 40, but still.... was running through the tunnel, reached down to grab my can of soda for a drink... Denizen. Downed me before I could set my drink down. My friend was way over by the power station.... I died.
  18. Interesting theory. Definitely possible. I definitely think the Green Run navcard will be used in future DLC, and we will get one that works in the Green Run reader in future DLC also. I really have no clue what it's use will be, though. I was thinking that possibly we won't get the correct Navcard for Green Run until the final DLC, and the "grand finale" of Black Ops 2's EE will require us to return to the first map... or possibly even returning to ALL the maps. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge at this point (wasn't around the forums for a while), but the Navcard reader is definitely NOT needed for Richtofen's side of the Green Run EE. I was speculating this from the start, but everyone tried to argue with me and said that you HAD to build the table/reader to do his side of the EE. Because I had already built the table, I had no way of testing to confirm I was right. Well, the table reset in my game and I successfully completed Richtofen's quest without having ever touched any piece of the table. This means that both the reader and the navcard have absolutely NO known purpose in the game right now.
  19. I agree. I have had the slow moving ones sometimes screw me to some extent when zombie training in certain areas. All the fast ones will follow quickly, but the slow ones will end up not following your movements and sometimes block your path. I'm pretty sure that was the point of having "shamblers" in the higher rounds. Just to make training zombies a bit more difficult.
  20. The problem that is being discussed is people starting threads with misleading titles. Yes, I can avoid a thread that's titled "Try my 5,835th theory!!", because I know it's just gonna be some little kid's ramblings about a lame idea that popped into his head. But if I see a thread titled "I've found the next step!! Proof!!", I'm going to open it expecting the post to reflect the title. Instead, the post reads "Try my 5,835th theory!!" and contains some little kid's ramblings about some lame idea that popped into his head. And his idea of "proof" is "It totally makes sense in my mind so it's pretty much a fact and you can't disagree with me." In short, how do I avoid threads I'm not interested in if the titles are misleading and don't represent the content of the post? As for SlashRacer... Yes, we could implement a system where you need X amount of posts to start a new thread.... which will result in people spamming posts until they reach their quota. That doesn't really help. And I think we're talking about something totally different than you. We are discussing ways to make a forum easier to find what you're looking for, make it less cluttered, and being able to click on a thread and know exactly what you're going to find in it based on the title (you know, the way a forum is supposed to work). You're talking about maximizing hits in order to bring in more ad revenue. These are two completely different things that have two completely different approaches. It's like searching for something, finding a page that seems to have what you're looking for, going to that page, and finding that it is just a series of links to other pages. Do those pages bring in advertising money? Sure. Do they serve any purpose otherwise? No. I have owned forums also.... I didn't sell any advertising space or try to make a dime off of them. They existed for discussion. Server space is really not that expensive. You don't want to tell anyone to search for something because you want as many users as possible to bring in as much money as they can. Fair enough... but a forum that's full of repetitive, cluttered, pointless posts are going to scare off regulars that actually may have some knowledge of what is being discussed. For you that's fine because you're getting a constant influx of new members giving you ad money. For the discussion it's horrible.
  21. But so far there is only one map that's playable in TranZit mode, so if you're correcting your friend for calling it TranZit... that's pretty annoying, IMO.
  22. Well, I translated the description and it just said to listen to the commentary, so that's a no go. There was a comment saying something like "It didn't work for me. I waited for like 30 minutes and nothing moved." so it sounds like it is related to EMPs. Another comment said his friend died on the bus and zombies attacked the bus driver after that, but I don't think it's relevant. Hopefully someone that speaks French can understand the commentary.
  23. Ok, so did you just not try this before posting it? Or are you a troll? Either way, debunked. I was just getting ready to quit for the night and I tried it. It doesn't work. Probably why the video is all choppy... to hide the fact that it was edited.
  24. Why did we get the Focusing Stone in Shangri La? We didn't use it there. We get a Navard to use in a future map. It's that simple. It's not even the first time we've gotten an item in one map to be used in another. Funny, all you "true believers" that make countless theory posts on continuing the EE always add "And if you disagree go away and ignore the thread because I can't handle people disagreeing with me." yet when someone starts a thread discussing why they think it's finished you've got no problem jumping into the thread and telling them they're wrong. Morale? No, all you guys and your pointless continuation threads do nothing but clutter the forums up with every idea that pops into your heads that will most likely never amount to anything, because I've yet to see one that has. As a result, it becomes nearly impossible to find any actual information or even a worthwhile discussion that doesn't involve "I think we need to do ______ to continue the EE" "Hey has anyone tried doing this thing I just thought of? Someone try it! I'm not going to because it sounds like too much work, but someone else should!"
  25. I didn't play Zombies for a couple weeks, and my Navcard table reset. I still had the actual Navcard though. Also, I completed Richtofen's side of the EE without having the table built, so there is currently no use for it in the game that we know of. Though I think it's safe to assume it's use will come with future DLC. Regardless, Richtofen talks about the table as well, so you're basically saying that unheard lines from Maxis mean you need to use the Navcard table for him, but we should ignore the lines Richtofen has about it that are in the game? Also, I think people over think the missing quotes too much. There are also unused quotes for Fire Sales... some things were obviously cut or changed before the game was finished, and they didn't bother to remove lines we're never supposed to access anyways. On the other hand.... they had to have known that someone would get into the files and listen to those lines eventually, so I have to wonder if 3arc put them in there just to troll us. Finally, I don't see how you can state something is a "fact" with little to no evidence. The game has been out for months, with thousands of people actively searching for a continuation. I've seen COUNTLESS theories come and go.... and not ONE of them has led to anything. I've probably seen 50 "I have found the next step!!" threads on various forums where people have stated that they KNOW they have the answer.... and none of them have found this mystical continuation. Telling everyone that disagrees with you "NANANA GO AWAY I'M NOT LISTENING TO YOU!!!" doesn't make you any more right.
