  1. ...Or we can just refer to it as 'The Computer'? ...No? Fuck you.
  2. This probably doesn't mean anything, it's most likely just a hidden nod to the zombie fans that Treyarch put in- purely to see if any of us would notice.
  3. Before I type anything, just know that I feel like **** today and am in a pretty bad mood (for me, anyway). The one thing I really can't stand is all the stupid IW fanboys out there who bought Black Ops, and played for, what, like 2 minutes before going back to MW2! They are out to criticise Treyarch and Black Ops. They get noob tubed once: "THIS GAME SUCKS!" They get RC'd once: "THIS GAME SUCKS!" The game laggs slightly: "THIS GAME SUCKS!" Get what I'm saying? They'd never do that to precious MW2. Well bollocks to those people. They can go and be a loner on MW2 while everyone else is actually being FAIR and giving Black Ops a chance. Obviously, every game will have a few faults when it comes out, Black Ops is no exception. I have hit detection issues every now and then and the spawning still needs a little bit of tweaking, but it is overall a great game to me so far. Plus, it's been almost a week and no one has found a glitch in a map yet! I bet they'd found some in MW2, didn't they? That's because Treyarch spend their time working hard instead of making charts on Microsoft Excel showing approximately how much money they will make, and planning how they'll scam us next. Not singling anyone out there. With sniping, well, I've personally always been one of those run-and-gun type players. But I've tried sniping many a time and it's harder than it looks. I respect all those snipers who play fairly and have true SKILL. It's not like MW2, where you just get out your Barrett and spray, or try to do like a 360 degree no-scope, lowering your ratio and your team's chance of winning, just so that if you do get a kill you can spend the rest of the match screaming: "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" down the headset. Quickscoping has always bugged me, because it doesn't seem like it enhances the game any further. It takes huge skill to be a good quickscoper (unless you still play Modern Warfail 2), but it's still going to lower your ratio in the long run. And zombies, man, they've made it so much more difficult. I'm loving it. So far, I like "Five" more than Kino der Toten, but that's probably because "Five" is more likely to have players who are actually good strategists (most of them completed the campaign, didn't they?) whereas I haven't found a single match on Kino der Toten yet without some stupid kid looking for glitches or hogging all the windows. Seriously, it's gotten to the point where I just LEAVE if someone window steals. And the extra sub-objectives in the maps are great, it really gives you something to work towards instead of "Kill the zombies and run away to reload.". Bored of all that reading? Don't blame you. But seriously, to any IW fanboys reading this (which is highly unlikely, seeing as this site was made out of dedication to WaW), you've really proven just how pathetic you are by treating the game like this about 5 days post-release. With millions of people playing, of course lagg is going to be a problem. Nothing to rage quit over, though.
  4. Dude, I am SO sorry for you Think you can live for a while longer without playing? :| As a side note, I've had my PS3 for almost 3 years (it's a 60 GB) and I've never had the YLOD. Am I just lucky or is my time near? :?
  5. One of the greatest things I've ever seen Brightened up my life :)
  6. Why must we always have idiots like this spoiling the fun for everyone else? No matter what Treyarch or IW put in their COD games, it's never enough for these guys. No, they have to twist things to their liking and make the game less enjoyable for EVERYONE else  Yes, I have an opinion about everything. You will realise this in the next month.
  7. My tradition with CoD games is to play through the SP first, primarily to get a good bit of practice with the guns and also because this SP seems to look awesome, alot more so than any other CoD games to date. Once I've finished the SP on either Regular or Hardened, I'll probably play Zombies, but I might play MP, it'll depend on my mood. And why has NO ONE mentioned Dead Ops? I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out what that is!
  8. Okay, I posted this storyline back on the old CoDz a while back, as some may remember. Given the new information that has been uncovered in the past few months, I've decided to update my storyline the best I can. With Black Ops only around the corner, this story is bound to change. Mid 1943 WWII is well underway, and Hitler knows he is on the verge losing, and so he creates a 'Master Plan' which is supposedly foolproof. Gathering the best scientists in all of Germany, he sends them all to work in hidden factories all over Germany and parts of Europe with only one goal in mind: Re-animate the dead. Many of the groups tried and failed. Hundreds failed. But there was one group that stood out. Group 935, stationed in Waffenfabrik der Riese. One of Germanys most famous scientists was leading the experiments there, Dr. Ludwig Maxis. He leads all of Group 935 to start on the experiments. After many experiments on deceased Nazis, one plucky scientist, Dr. Richtofen, finally discovers a breakthrough. He created an undead soldier. Dr. Maxis instantly promoted Richtofen to be his assisstant. The scientists tried again and again to tame the zombies, constantly failing. While this was going on, Maxis and Richtofen were working on Matter Transference. They wanted to transport the undead army all over Europe to win the war for them before anyone knew what had hit them. They could not find a way to get the teleporters to work. Eventually, one of the head researchers, who liked to go by the name of Edward, suggested using element 115 to power the teleporters. This works on small objects like pens and apples. Edward becomes Maxis' other assistant. Around this time, while scientists are trying to tame a group of zombies, they suddenly go mad and kill the scientists. They end up breaking all of the zombies kept in the research facility free. Soon afterwards, the alarm is set off. Dr. Maxis shuts himself inside his office, along with his daughter Samantha, and his assistants Edward and Richtofen. They stayed there for so long, the zombies finally left Der Riese. Dr. Maxis continued with the experiments on the teleporters as though nothing had happened. Quite obviously, Hitler notices the untamed undead rampaging through Germany killing all that they found. Hitler urgently requests of Maxis to build a 'WunderWaffe' to destroy both enemies and undead alike. Edward is asked to seperately work on this while Maxis and Richtofen continue with the teleporters. Around this time, Samantha suddenly decides pretty much overnight that she wants a dog. Dr. Maxis sees this as his chance to get a live test subject to test the teleporters on. He gets her a dog named Fluffy, who grows while the experiments continue. She soon becomes pregnant (which I find hard to believe, seeing as she's the only dog left alive within 100 miles). Dr. Maxis tells Richtofen about testing Fluffy and he refuses to do it, due to his love of animals. Edward and Richtofen switch experiments. Maxis starts testing on animals which seem to magically appear on his doorstep (I didn't have any other way of knowing), which explains all of the radios around Der Riese mentioning teleporter tests. Richtofen feels guilty for what the animals are being put through before he finally cannot take it anymore. After peeking in on one of the experiments on a dog (the radio in which the test subject explodes), he instantly turns insane seeing the poor creature obliterated. He grabs all of the blueprints for the DG-2 and flees Der Riese, and later arrives at Shi No Numa. Dr. Maxis is enraged by this, but carries on anyway. Eventually, he runs out of patience and tests on Fluffy, who is close to giving birth by now. Edward has finally had enough of how Maxis treats him, and so he shuts him and Samantha inside the chamber with Fluffy. Just then he hears a teleporter go off and the power overloads. Edward suddenly realizes what he's done and hangs himself, just across the street from Der Riese (hanging man). When Richtofen arrives at Shi No Numa, he finds the meteor and examines it. He finds that it contains 115, which is perfect for his experiments. Over the next couple of years, he creates the WunderWaffe DG-2. By Late 1945, the DG-2 is ready. Sadly, being apart from the German's for two years means he hadn't found out about Hitler losing the war. Late 1945 Richtofen has to test the DG-2 on something, and so when the zombie army attacks Richtofen's hidden research labs in SNN, he sees it as a perfect opportunity. Just as they attack, three soldiers arrive. An American, a Russian and a Japanese soldier. Dempsey, Nikolai and Takeo are there because the soldiers fighting in Europe noticed the zombie outbreak all over Germany, France and parts of England. They recieve a mysterious transmission from an unknown location, adressed to 'Peter' (radios in SNN starting room). It has co-ordinates to SNN. Dempsey, after his heroic efforts during the early raids of Peleliu, was sent to Verruckt a few weeks before the events of SNN, to figure out the secrets of the Nazi's experiments. What Dempsey and his crew didn't know, however, was that the Asylum had already been overrun, and that the experiments had been stopped there. As the zombies start to attack, someone is revealed to have turned the power off in the Asylum, before fleeing. Dempsey and his squad try to fight off the crazy-powered zombies (super-fast SOBs...) He is the only one who manages to escape. Nikolai, well, he was sent to SNN purely because Russia couldn't afford to sacrifice someone important, and so sent a broken spirit instead. With directions from Takeo, the captured Japanese soldier, the trio arrive at SNN. Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen fight through SNN, Richtofen telling them small parts of what he was doing at SNN in the first place. The gang find several radio transmissions from all over Europe, everyone getting annihilated by the zombies. Richtofen realises what he has done, and realises that things need to be set right. Richtofen gets to work for months tweaking the emergency teleporter. You can tell the characters were at SNN for a while by the marks on their bodies in DR. Months later, once Richtofen is sure the teleporter is finally ready, he sends himself and the gang back. Back in time to when it all started: 1943 Waffenfabrik der Riese Richtofen and the rest arrive at DR just as the power overloads. They went there, because Richtofen knew that the secrets were hidden there. In the tunnel beneath Maxis' office, the secret lab where Richtofen created the first zombie. He knew he had to end everything before it started. Sadly, the zombies swarm the gang, and they have no choice but to retreat. Richtofen inputs random calibrations for a teleporter, and the gang are sent several years into the future. Right in the middle of Kino der Toten. The gang realise that their failure to stop the zombies 17 years in the past resulted in a full-scale invasion and annihilation of the Earth. Richtofen and the gang must now travel through time to stop this invasion, and find the secrets behind the zombies. This is where we are now. So yeah, this took me a long time to write, I hope you guys enjoyed it, and I hope you agree with at least some of it (yeah, I still don't think Edward and Richtofen are the same person )
  9. CoDz Username- Jackyboy1384 PSN Username- jackyboy08 Time Zone-GMT I'm up for a little zombie-killing to end Halloween
  10. Well besides all of the normal things I think we will get CP, new camos, maybe a small discount on camos and other things that really can't give you a large advantage against the lower ranked people, and hopefully some new guns, but I think that's unlikely. I agree with everything except new guns for prestiging. Imagine this: You don't get the game until Christmas. You try to play MP but you keep getting owned by people who are like 5th prestige and have some ownage gun that you can't get. It'll be like MW2 with all the newbies that will be rage quitting over that. But I like every other idea.
  11. Zombie Gorillas Let's find some footage of Zombie King Kong Only 3 weeks before he leads his army to invade and destroy the Earth as we know it.
  12. I'm lookin forward to this game so much that it hurts
  13. Most of the time, because of my bad luck, by round 3 I will NOT have the most points meaning that (when I'm playing with decent players which is like never anymore) I don't open the doors. But when I do have the most points, I tend to open up the Thompson way because, like others said, you get more points and larger clips with the Thompson, giving you more chance of survival in a way. But I see where you're coming from by opening the Trench Gun way, I used to do that until around Christmas 09 time.
  14. You deserve thousand's of [brains]'s for this. You are one of the few people on this site that has truly put the effort in to try as many possible things as your ability will allow- thanks a lot for doing all this work. This is what this site needs- a list of things that have been tried and failed so we don't go around wasting time doing the same things over and over again. Once again, good work and I totally respect you for this one. :D
  15. Slaughter House? Sounds fun...
  16. I'm not bothered by Treyarch including the 1887, as long as they get it RIGHT. If they literally rip the overpowered version from MW2, I'll be really pissed. But if they manage to balance it, I'll be happier. Plus, less people will use it, now that shotguns are primary weapons again. As long as Treyarch don't include Akimbo for shotguns. For anything else, I don't mind (except maybe for SMG's...), but Akimbo shotguns is a stupid idea. It's hard enough to keep one shotgun under control in real life, but TWO?! And people say WaW was bloody unrealistic.
  17. Interesting find... It could just be a coincidence but there might be something more to it... Maybe you should google this thing and see what comes up :)
  18. I think people are saying that Der Riese is uncompleted because: a) The Der Riese map that you can see on some of the walls as well as in the pause menu has a section (near Juggernog) that was never in the map- there was an extra flight of stairs. Also, the Amm-O-Matic was never in Der Riese, but Treyarch has voice files of the characters commenting on it. The story is incomplete, the 8th radio is supposedly NOT in the map (but it is in the iPod/iPhone version), in the 'Group 935' logo, it shows what looks like the mainframe and 4 teleporters, but as we all know, there are only three teleporters in Der Riese. The Fly Trap serves no purpose AT ALL to the storyline, so obviously whatever it was, Treyarch removed it But maybe the stuff that isn't in the WAW version will be in the BO version! :D
  19. Nice! The wager matches look like a lot of fun, can't wait to try them out But that Crossbow looks really hard to use  And how does the Ballistic Knife work? I'm confused about it :?:
  20. Surprise can be make your character a zombie  Admit it you'd love that, wouldn't you guys :?: Cake is good too.
  21. Heh... thanks Yeah, I was the guy who never left a comment less than half a page long...
  22. I've already ordered the regular edition for the PS3, but it is possible to upgrade to hardened edition? I've been regretting not buying hardened edition, I was thinking I might get it instead of the normal version. Btw, my heart sank when I read the title of this thread on the homepage, then I clicked it and it said "for Xbox 360" and I was really relieved
  23. I really disliked most things in MW2, but there are a few things that I did like: -I liked the varied campaign. While the story behind the MW series isn't great, some of the levels were really fun to play (for me, they were namely 'Cliffhanger', 'No Russian' and 'Showdown'). And, compared to the first MW, MW2 did seem short, but I didn't paticularly mind that, because I got annoyed with the length of MW. -The selectable killstreaks idea was really good, but the killstreaks that IW chose for MW2 were mostly bad. I mean, a tactical nuke? Seriously? Why not just put up a light-up sign saying 'PLEASE CAMP LIKE A NOOB :)'. But the general idea was great, and some killstreaks were good ideas. I just really hope that the killstreaks in Black Ops are as awesome as they sound. I'm so glad dogs are returning... hahaha  -A few Spec Ops. Most of them were really boring, but some were fun, creative and at the same time, challenging. You and your friend racing down a mountain in those snow jet things is always funny, especially screwing up the final stretch before the jump The idea of controlling an AC-130 to protect your teammate was one I paticularly liked, because it brought out what Call of Duty is really about: teamwork. -Callsigns and Emblems were a good idea, they gave you a bit of customization, and gave you something to work towards. I think that's everything I really liked. The rest was messed up (most importantly, Commando, akimbo shotguns, painkiller, nukes, noobtubes and snipers getting hit markers for chest shots). EDIT: I also liked the idea of the game winning killcam .
  24. To be honest, no one can tell what is going to happen until the game is released. But here's my two cents anyway: The 'Pentagon Thief'? What would this be? Some sort of mini-boss? It must have something to do with zombies because it's in the middle of the zombies section in the list. Maybe it can steal your ammo and attack you with it, which could also explain getting shot by a PAP'd crossbow. Besides, has no one realised how AWESOME it'd be to PAP modern weapons? And I wouldn't be surprised (well, I would) if Treyarch linked Black Ops to World at War somehow, involving time travel. It was one of the main elements of the WAW storyline: Matter Transference. But I get the feeling that if any of our old friends from WAW appear at all, it'll be either Richtofen or possibly Edward (providing they aren't the same person)? I mean, we do hear something going on with the power after Edward kills Maxis and Samantha... any thoughts? And now to 'Dead Ops', remember what 'Ops' means. So no doubt, it'll be some sort of substory involving side-missions in an arcade style thing. But Treyarch didn't call it 'Dead Ops' for no reason, it must have something to do with zombies, because it'd be pretty boring if we played it and every character was DEAD Maybe, we get to play as a zombie? Wait, no, that'd be bad. The objective is to not let this become Left 4 Dead 3 :? But maybe it will be some sort of zombie storyline, possible even the one we've been trying to solve for over a year and a half now The answers will all be clear in time. But, although I hate to bring the mood down, if Treyarch continue our old storyline or start a new one in the Black Ops zombies mode, it won't be concluded right away. No, it'll be either concluded over the Black Ops MPs or in the next Call of Duty game (unless that'll be Modern Warfare 3... *shudder* uggh, don't even go there). Okay, the next game Treyarch make in the Call of Duty series. Sorry for boring you all with this wall of text ;)
  25. ... Even now, almost an entire year later, I still do not believe that Edward and Richtofen are one and the same. I just don't. I believe a theory similar to yours- how Richtofen is an Illuminati double agent. I think Edward was once tied in with the Illuminati, but let it go. I think Richtofen and Edward were both Maxis' assistants at first. Now, Richtofen loves animals, as we found out from one of his quotes in Shi No Numa (god help me I can't remember it). My guess is that Maxis commanded Richtofen to do the experiments on the dogs, turning him insane. He allowed the outbreak to happen, took all the info about the WunderWaffe and then just fled to Shi No Numa. Before the outbreak, Edward was getting more and more annoyed by Maxis constantly pushing him around, eventually leading to Edward killing him. As soon as he did it, he immediately felt guilty and killed himself (hanging man in Der Riese... any thoughts?). I think the storyline went a little something like that. Ah, and here's a possibility that no one thought of before- What if Edward and Richtofen have the same first name? They could be two totally different Edwards!
