  1. I don't know about you, but I don't think getting a good chunk of your side being chomped off is exactly "faking". I truly believe that Russman is crucial to the storyline, but I don't believe that his face is in the sky. Was he even born around this time, or let alone an adult? Even without thinking of that situation, it just doesn't make sense to have him as the face in the sky. I thought it could be God smiting the crew, and having him seem disappointed in what has been going on (satanic rituals and all) in Alcatraz. Still...damn you Treyarch for that face. I almost couldn't sleep last night.
  2. Thanks for posting up the video tutorial and information, friendo. I've stickied this topic to help others snag the Achievement as well. Happy hunting!
  3. Apparently so, based on those few who have done the Achievement. You must have completed the cycle at least once, then shock the crystal skulls in Afterlife mode. Once you have done that, use the Hell's Retriever (tomahawk) and throw it at the skulls. You will obtain them but there is no actual item display to show that you acquired it.
  4. This man speaks the truth. The only "ending" that this comes to is somebody (or some people) being killed off. That doesn't mean the zombie rampage will suddenly come to a screeching halt and everything will be alright. The only option for the survivor(s) is death. If the cycle is broken, they cannot repeat this process all over again. The time flow then becomes linear once more.
  5. Welcome to the community, friendo! Sounds like you have a good amount of zombie-slaying knowledge. You'll find others here that also share that same ability as you. If you ever want to find a perfect crew, you can start looking here: viewforum.php?f=13 Well, it may have been a quite long introduction, but it is surely unique! Enjoy your stay, don't forget to take part in our discussions, and keep slayin'! :)
  6. I'd like to also mention that there are three generators in the main room, and one more once you go through the portal, on your left-hand side.
  7. Don't trust what PTG said until everyone starts finishing the Easter Egg. What they have delivered may be very faulty and there is absolutely no evidence to support them.
  8. As fake as it sounds. Plus, I normally don't trust any source that misuses the word "too" for "to".
  9. The traps are very beneficial to helping you torment the other teammates. For instance, if you wait until one of them leaves the Warden's Office, you can flip the Fan Trap and they'll be forced to crawl, which may slow them down/make them susceptible to being flopped on. Also, Brutus can really deliver a punch (red screen with one hit), so he is actually a great tool to have when you want to get the opposing team out of certain areas.
  10. If there was ever a time that I nearly wet myself in Zombies, it is because of this. Not cool Treyarch, not cool. But to be honest, I do agree that it may be some kind of correlation to the satanic connections found in Mob of the Dead. Is that image of God? It could just as well be.
  11. Whether this footage is leaked or not, if you don't want to watch it then don't. Whatever means in which the person obtained this information is on their own accord and not ours. If they're first, then congratulations to them (even though having time beforehand to do it is a bit cheating). If they aren't, then that means the spot is still open. This wouldn't be the first time that an Easter Egg was supposedly "leaked" [i'm looking at you, Moon].
  12. Yes, it shoots missiles once you shock it. Two people, however, will do nothing to it but the missiles.
  13. To open it, you must go down to the generator room (on the way to the harbor) right after exiting the prison. Go into Afterlife mode, and shock three of the colored generators in that room. There is an adjacent room in which you must go through via portal, and in the far left side is another generator that needs to be shocked. Once you shocked all the generators, you'll hear and see a difference in your surrounding environment. That will turn off the electric charge on the Warden's cell door.
  14. Using the combination of the Tommy Gun with the Electric Cherry perk (and possibly with Claymores) can take him down very easily in Solo. Otherwise, having everyone unload on his head or chest will take him down almost instantaneously.
  15. He speaks the truth; Pop Goes the Weasel is the primary Easter Egg. Yes, No One Escapes Alive is the biggest Achievement in the DLC, but it doesn't necessarily make it the most emphasized/crucial.
  16. Haha, I know, but thank you for clearing that up. I primarily call this the Side Quest/Mission because...well, it is. But if anything, there are quite a few instances/objects throughout the map that relate to the "Pop Goes The Weasel" Achievement. One is the water guard. ;)
  17. This map is huge, easy to get lost, yet ultimately requires teamwork if you plan on holding out. It's beautiful.
  18. For those who have completed the Side Mission, please share your thoughts about it. This was a rather short, yet interesting little mission which really does take some puzzle solving skills. For those who have not completed it yet, what are you seeking to solve? Are you stuck on a particular area where you cannot access a particular step? Here is how to complete the Achievement (credit to our awesome Podcast der Toten Team). To grab the Warden keys in the main cell hallways (after spawn, taking the door near the M14), go into Afterlife mode and look for a portal in the top area of the catwalk. Jump - or levitate - into the portal. Then, you should see a circuit board. Fry it with your electric powers, and the key will lower itself for you to obtain. There are essentially five locations for the Icarus parts: Once you have obtained all the parts, access the roof via Infirmary. Note that in order to open the door, you must go into Afterlife mode, find one of the cells within the infirmary, and jump onto the roof following the arrows - a power box will await you at the top. Stand near the plane and build your parts. Once all five parts are added, stand behind the ramp/plane. Once one person jumps on, have the next person follow, so on and so forth. There is a time limit, so be sure to get everyone on asap. Once everyone is on, you will be sent into the air. Achievement get.
  19. Let the adventures begin. Good luck to all who accept this journey to unravel several mysteries.
  20. http://www.pcgamesupply.com/buygames/Xb ... QgodXyAA3g I'm assuming that this would be the easiest way. From what I can tell, there are different point amounts per region. For instance, the US buys 1600 MSP points for only $19.99 whereas the EU region buys 1200 points for $21.99. There is a slight change in both the price and points so that you technically can't cheat the system. Obviously there may be a very, very minuscule difference but I'm not very good at differentiating currency. :P
  21. Hopefully, we'll bring a new member to the Podcast der Toten team who is from Europe so we have an international crew. That way, everyone can fully reap the rewards. I forget again, but why wouldn't MSP codes be correctly identified with European codes? Is it just structured differently?
  22. As Ryan had said, Black Ops 2 utilizes a new feature where it will try and migrate hosts if possible. I usually had this happen when playing on Farm Survival before the first DLC dropped. Now, I get it about 40% of the time if I'm in a full game. It may have something to do with your internet, or it may just be the system failing to successfully migrate the host. If that's the case, there really isn't anything you can do to avoid it other than having a team of friends play in a Public Lobby with you. Even if you're the host, there will always be a slim chance that the server may kick you out because of someone else's connection.
  23. Care to elaborate how they are a fail? These are times based on the usual drop times from our last DLC package, with an hour to save just in case.
  24. Hm, it could very well be that. The cycle must repeat itself, and we already know that our crew beings their first revolution of the cycle prior to us even fully beginning the game.
  25. This is some juicy information, friendo! I knew we'd have yet another allusion to go by, but at least we have a very direct story to compare the mode to. Judging by how you presented the legend and Achievement, it seems that we (the characters) will meet our fate upon leaving the island. In the legend, Icarus' demise comes from disobeying his father's orders by getting closer to the Sun. I wonder in what way the new crew could do the same; perhaps by flying to high into the air as they crash somewhere? They have to stop at some point since the cycle must be repeated (electric chairs?).
