  1. I think I might have a clue as to what it is. I wrote and posted my theory in the Asylum section though. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=29310
  2. Could Great Britain be the a future DLC map? Based on evidence I've seen and things I've read I believe so. But to first understand why, you'll need to read up a little bit about Britain's Industrial Revolution. Britain's Industrial Revolution Pre-revolution Prior to Britain's industrial revolution, the country had been known for having and distributing the highest quality coal in Europe. They also mined 5/6 of the coal in the world during that time. Coal, being a valuable resource, made Britain very rich. Money is almost necessary when trying to revolutionize. Alongside that Britain had everything they needed in order to begin their industrial revolution, they had a stable and peaceful country, great trading agreements and a free market. Now Britian's industrial revolution had already technically begun but it wasn't until the 1780s that things really began to take off and dramatic changes began to take place. The Industrial Revolution accelerates So the Industrial revolution begins to get serious at about the early 1780s. The way things were done and the way things were made really changed. Things were no longer done by hand but by machine thanks to the new inventions that had been developed. However in order to run these machines, coal was needed (I'll expand in the next section). Britain had already acquired a great deal of coal by this time but it would need more in order to power the machines and still make a profit from selling and trading. Britain found that a massive amount cof coal was located in the northern part of the country so they began to mine there and where there is mining to be done there are going to have to be workers in order to do it. So people began to flock to the northern part of Britain becuase that's where the jobs were and since there were more people, the north began to urbanise very quickly. Facilities were also based in north to cut out transportation expenses aswell. With that said, mining itself was no safe job by any means. The Demand for Coal and the Watt Steam Engine With an industrial revolution going on it was no surprise that there was a massive demand for coal in Britain. One machine in particular was a real game changer during the industrial revolution, The Watt Steam Engine. Developed by James Watt this engine was an improvment on the already working Newcomen engine. This modified engine was much more fuel efficient and required a lot less coal to operate. This engine was perfect for powering the machinery that was being used and developed during this time period. Factory owners loved it, a more effiecent engine that costs less and because of how cheap it was to power these machines factories began to operate more machines at once and make more product and in turn more profit. And since it's cheaper to run a machine than pay a worker, factories everywhere were doing it and because of that there were more steam engines and because there were more steam engines there needed to be more coal. Mining conditions Everyday people both men and women and even children risked their lives mining. The shafts were dark, cramped and the air was filled with black soot which could easily result in a disease called black lung. The work itself was hard aswell, for hours you either spend your day smashing rocks or pushing carts. Death in the mine was far from uncommon and death had many names down there. Here's a short list of the most common accidents that resulted in deaths in the mine: - Crushing - Suffocation - Exhaustion - Starvation/Dehydration - Disease - Falling down shafts - Explosions - Poison gas (Seriously) About 4000 miners died each year from mining related accidents. 4000 a year during a revolution that lasted 70 years. Work got even harder and the death toll got even higher once the Watt Steam Engine began to get popular in factories. Workers had to get more and more coal as years went on so the mines had to get deeper and deeper thus making the job even more dangerous. So you could say the Watt Steam Engine was inadvertently responsible for the death of thousands of miners. Evidence and clues Die Rise loading screen and Jimmy Z's Twitter This is the bottom corner of the Die Rise loading screen. Now I believe that what that truly is in the corner is no more than a Watt Steam Engine, or at least a part of it. If you look on Jimmy Z's twitter in his bio he has a link to the Watt Steam Engine wiki page. I believe he put that there in order to steer us in the right direction to figuring out what's next. Clues in the Zombies storyline There are also a few clues I've noticed in previous maps that support my theory. The first of which being the teleporters in Der Riese. Each teleporter had a sign next to it. They read "FRA" for France, "GER" for Germany and "ENG" for England. Germany is an obvious location because it was the home base for 935. France was a location probably so 935 could have access to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, what they wanted with it, we don't know yet but we know they needed it for something. The last teleporter was England. It's been very vague as to what 935 needed in England. Is it possible that 935 was aware of the large 115 mine in England and planned on using the teleporters to access it? It makes sense I mean in order to mass produce the WunderWaffe DG-2 and continue to tests at Der Riese and other locations they would need a large ammount of 115. Another clue I noticed was that if those miners did find 115 in the mines, then it wouldn't be the first time. Remember Shangri-La? There was a fairly large ammount for 115 being mined there too. Who's to say there isn't a massive ammount of it deep underground in Britain? This is my first actually theory I've written myself, please leave feedback and add on if you wish to do so. Thanks!
  3. Eventually every map becomes easy because we all find our strategies. I was really hoping there would be not very many open spaces because I absolutely hate trains. In my opinion they require no skill and are boring as hell. No offense to those who train I just don't find it as fun as other strategies.
  4. Guess so.. anyone see any sign of revolution? Nope. Just Chuck Testa.
  5. It's 4:15 here in CST and no map pack yet. Will it just eventually pop up in the store or do I have to restart the game in order for it to show up when it releases?
  6. I agree with these two points 100% I miss camping, I think 3Arc needs to bring this back. (IE a good few spots with no "roaming" bosses) And I miss boss rounds. I've tried playing with hellhounds enabled in survival, but it's not the same and the fact that leader boards don't reflect make it seem self defeating to play that way. But the return of a proper boss like The Dr, Dogs or Monkeys would make me very happy. I always have the most fun when I camp with a group of friends. The whole nowhere to run feeling of camping is so much fun. I really hope DR has some sweet spots.
  7. Said it earlier im gonna say it again...Can wait for the hate threads about Die Rise! Close quarter maps will always be a nightmare for train whores, that wont play team stradegy game play. Die rise aparently will be tight and as jimmy says in one of latest tweet: From the first drawing of die rise on the white board wall in my office, all I could think was..."many people are going to fall". Good luck! This map in my opinion will be one of the hardest made! Lets see.. That's exactly why I love close quarter maps. No trains. I cannot stand hearing kids boast about high rounds when all they do is run in a circle. Whenever I matchmake for Green Run it's nothing but jerkoffs who venture off on their own and run trains. Real helpful for the team.
  8. It's not TranZit. Those things you listed will be in every BO2 map from now on. TranZit is the only one to feature them because it's the first map on BO2. Besides Charlie Intel played the map and tweeted about it saying it was one compact map. No bus or anything like that. TranZit was exclusive to Green Run.
  9. I think it's all about ratios. You get those right, you rank up. This guy has a pretty good theory on it. http://community.callofduty.com/thread/ ... ?tstart=30
  10. I totally said Die Rise was the gamemode a few days ago. They advertised Green Run/TranZit by calling the whole thing TranZit. They'll probably advertise all the maps like this by calling it by the main gamemode.
  11. They also never once said that TranZit was the new campaign or that they weren't scrapping it. And if you would so kindly explain which "clues" suggest that Die Rise is a TranZit map? Since they are obvious.
  12. Spoiler alert: Every map is gonna feature that stuff from now on. Doesn't mean it's a TranZit map.
  13. I have ruthlessly pushed this opinion in the past but now I believe this is an appropriate place to voice it. I do not think it will be a TranZit map. I belive TranZit was an exclusive game mode to Green Run and I believe Die Rise will have it's exclusive game mode aswell. I think with each map they're gonna add something, in terms of gameplay, that we've never seen before in order to challenge us and make the maps more exciting and unique kinda like the TranZit did with the bus and split up map. However I have no clue how they plan on doing that in Die Rise but I'm hoping it's not another TranZit.
  14. It'll keep people from posting ideas and draw in people who wish to discuss the Thundergun. "Possible Wonder Weapon" is a pretty broad topic title.
  15. I couldn't agree more. Shangri-La was one of my favorite maps. It's close quartered which makes for faster gameplay. I honestly hope Die Rise is like this.
  16. If anyone has seen my previous posts about Die Rise you know how worried I am. Green Run was very dissapointing in my opinion. TranZit was disappointing aswell. I really do hope Die Rise doesn't do the transportation thing like TranZit. Here's my thing with TranZit, the main focus of TranZit is obviously the bus and the devs make it clear. However after awhile I find myself not using the bus at all. When features like that have so much focus on them and I end up ignoring them I feel like the game, or map in this case, failed to deliver the experience. Same thing when developers put something in a game to evoke a certain emotion from the players but they don't feel that emotion. You know that your supposed to feel that emotion and when you don't, it's disappointing. I know that i'm supposed to take advantage of the features in TranZit but they suck and I don't find myself using them ever and for that reason it was a disappointing experience. If that makes any sense.
  17. Someone else already said this but I think that only Speed Cola and Juggernog will be on the elevators since they are of more importance, just like how they only spawned in NML on Moon.. All other perks will just be scattered around the map. Possibly Pack a Punch involves the elevators aswell.
  18. I totally mentiomed this like 3 times and no one noticed.
  19. Agreed. I apologize for derailing the discussion and acting rudely. I guess I just got a little too worked up.
  20. TranZit isn't a gamemode. TranZit is the name of the story mode in Green Run. Story is a gamemode. What I'm trying to say is that Die Rise is a brand new map. Reusing the style of transporting from area to area isn't new at all. Why would they reuse that idea? Truthfully it would be boring and completely uncreative. What I look for in maps is what makes them different and more challenging from the previous ones. And when I mean different I'm not just talking about surroundings I'm talking about gameplay and tactics. I like the idea of having to remaster zombies with each new map. This is not something I can see myself going through if Die Rise is like TranZit. TranZit wasn't challenging, it was just annoying. There were no challenges to overcome, just pestering features that I could easily avoid. The bus for instance, I didn't need to master how to survive on the bus because after you have Jug and the Galvaknuckles the bus is nothing more than a useless hunk of junk. This was my issue with TranZit and I fear these issues will arise again in Die Rise if it functions the same way as TranZit.
  21. Maybe they recorded the footage with only 3 people playing. Sometimes it's just that simple guys.
  22. 1.New Crew: Have only been featured on Tranzit. 2.Buildables: Have only been featured on Tranzit. 3.Power Switch: Has only been in the "Tanzit" mode for BO2 4.Helicopter in Poster: Why? I've said it before and i'll gladly say it again, in absolutely no god damn way does this mean it's a TranZit based map. Spoiler alert: Every map from now on is gonna have buildables and the new crew. Doesn't mean we'll be riding a gank ass bus or a friggin' helicopter every map too. You know why those features are only on TranZit? IT'S THE ONLY MAP FOR BLACK OPS 2, as of right now. Aside from NT. These assumptions are absurd. I apologize for being a bit aggressive but you guys gotta understand that making another TranZit style map would be too easy and uncreative. The zombies team has always done an awesome job of changing the game with each new map, they give us a new challenge. Another TranZit style map wouldn't be new or challenging at all, eventually the formula of it would get stale and easily mastered. I don't see Die Rise following the TranZit style.
  23. I agree. I can't stand when my friends are like "Let's play TranZit." so I start up TranZit and they're like "No, just the town one." I can understand the confusion but it's been almost 3 months. Know the difference. However if Die Rise does have a transpotation like feature then it probably won't be called TranZit again. I bet the game mode is called Die Rise and the map itself is called something different. On another note, the elevator idea would be awesome. But instead of a set path, it would go to random floors.
