  1. I thought all Turtle Beaches had optical in? Surely it's better to use that rather than hack component cables?
  2. Thanks mate for your kind words. My 8 hours Die Rise was the longest solo run I've done. I would never play longer than that again on solo. I have 2 kids who take up a lot of my time....I have to work my zombies around them, and my work. I just do not have time to do anything crazy. The people I speak to all knew Steve would get 100 on Nacht done. It's an amazing achievement but time wise, it wasn't that long. I have 2 days next week on my own when my family go to the UK, before I join them. I'm attempting 100 coop on Die Rise with a good friend. That's about the craziest thing I can attempt as I have the time opened for me. No-one should attempt COTD 100 in my opinion. It's just not worth the time it would take on one game.
  3. Say you need to get only 30 VRs for each round in the 90s. At a push the chance of getting the VR11 is 10%. It is infact lower but I'm not sure of the exact %, but this will suffice. So you need to hit the box 300 times each round in the 90s. Lets be generous and say that you get 10 hits on each box before it moves. So you need to at least move 30 times between boxes. COTD is big. If each box lasts for 10 hits, and you are cycling it will take around 2 minutes for each box as you have a pack. 2 miuntes * 30 = 1 hour of box hitting per round. Say 2 minutes * 30 to move between the boxes = 1 hour of moving per round. 2 hours each round, just hitting the box to get the gun needed. Now these figures are all very very generous. I'm estimating that this time would be quadrupled at the minimum, especially as there are some very bad box locations on this map. 8 hours just hitting the box and moving between them per round in the 90s. 6-7 hours in the 80s. 5-6 hours in the 70s. It is just not possible in my opinion. Like actually not possible. It would take literally weeks to do this. If the percentage of getting the VR11 is closer to 5% which I believe, you can double all the times I gave. If anyone attempted it, I would have to question their sanity. What's the point?
  4. The text colour in the OP is awful, I can barely read it. COTD will never be done, I don't think it can be done. No console can stay on that long.
  5. I'm adamant that regardless of what sound you get it, you don't lose it until you go down. I've played so much Die Rise now that I realise there is a distinct difference between kiting before the first down, and kiting after. Before the first down, I can stay a fair bit closer to the pack. 2 quick hits can be ignored and you continue your path. Sometimes you get a rd and 4th, sometimes not. The key is that with perma jugg you can take that 3rd and 4th hit, and then know to move away from the pack. Without perma jugg I always will move away from the pack after 2 hits, as those 2nd 2 can come so quickly and then you are on a red screen.
  6. I don't play with randoms unless I'm doing some harmless silent trolling, or going for a lot of revives. If I was 10 years younger and had more time, I would for sure. My time is limited and so I only play with a very small group of friends. Don't want to waste the time I have playing pointless games.
  7. This has been posted many times on here, as well as on multiple youtube videos.
  8. My friend Steve posted this a few weeks back when he did an MP5 challenge. It's not a difficult jump at all tbh, just need to line up correctly. I don't think I've ever missed it and it does serve a great purpose. If you don't have a trample steam and want to get across, you use this.
  9. This is a fairly good tactic for the restaurant area if you don't repatch the gun. Get a circle going in front of the bar, and then continue it. It can be very difficult to do a continuous circle due to bar spawners but you then can do cutbacks instead, to keep the area the same.
  10. To the OP - pre patch the chicom was the choice for a lot of people due to it being the joint quickest running weapon in the game. When chaining this made some difference, however I always preferred the sallies myself due to just having used them so much. Post patch you need the liquid gun out at all times, so you don't need the insanely fast running speed. I still go for the sallies, as on insta kill they are lethal but would also maybe have the PDW, just for the ammo for insta kill.
  11. The original question was how to start a chain. To start chains from very early you need to shoot early, and then lead the zombies to where the greater number of new zombies are. Keep really tight to them and keep the shot where I shoot it in this video. gYbbZk-jOJc For those on mobiles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYbbZk-jOJc
  12. Look here - viewtopic.php?f=115&t=22055 That's the request topic, with a link to all medals available. Most can be applied for, some are staff awarded.
  13. It's strange whatever it is. With the pure amount of times I have gone done it with no issues, I know I have done it all kinds of different ways...down the middle, walking, running, not turning etc and yet it happened just this time. I'm hoping it's as simple as not going down the middle, but I've seen others glitch when going on either side. I'm just lucky that is has only ever happened to me once, and in a coop game so at least I got back up :)
  14. I have played an awful lot of Die Rise, solo and coop. Until last night I had never ever had the slide glitch happen to either myself, or anyone else in my game. Last night it happened to me once, and to another guy 3 times. K-y4x9NV1ak I know some people here think there is a reason for it happening, like we are doing something wrong. So can anyone tell me what happened here? I know I'm in the middle, but I pretty much always go down it exactly the same as this.
  15. Nice guide and video. I'll be honest though, for the pain in the arse getting it, to the pain in the arse keeping it, just doesn't seem worth it to me. 4k back over 4 perks just doesn't make it worth the effort.
  16. There is an order ascertained by max damage without/with multipliers times max ammo. It shows just how important head shots are too Galil (52k,210k) vs Lamentation (116k,578k) HK21 (94k,281k) vs H115 Oscillator (189,567k) RPK (65k,195k) vs R115 Resonator (113k,338k) Unpaped the HK21 wins, PAPed the Lamentation wins. You could argue for firerate etc effecting this, but as the guns are dependent on max ammos to refill, I think it's kinda null.
  17. I still struggle to see why this is useful tbh. Why do you need the box so early?
  18. Tiredness or cockiness, almost everytime. The other way is overdoing it, and not taking enough breaks. Like chaining every single round in the 60s on Die Rise, like a maniac. I can do it for maybe an hour tops at full speed, but no-one alive can concentrate that much for too long, when it's all reactive. You can do the same hoard over and over again, like in BO1, but in a reactive situation it's just not possible. Would be like doing one NML run which lasts an hour, nonstop. Anyone who says they only die through lag or disconnects is not as good as they think they are, but are trying to give the impression they are God like.
  19. Learn the monkey technique. As long as you start holding the button before you go down, the monkey goes out and it doesn't count as a monkey. It's always an easy revive then....just like Tom said, hoard away from your body, then get a sprint on :)
  20. Hey Mat, it's just too difficult in the Buddha room as they are really slow to spawn. All about the restaurant area for the massive chains. Did 41 earlier on a single shot, 48 and 49 in 6 minutes combined..... With the unpatch available, it's so much fun again. mBh0YVl9iLU
  21. Yeah it's not worth the risk until past 60. However, with the new unpatch trick, I can do this again. This is how you get huge chains, start early and keep them really really close mBh0YVl9iLU
  22. That last line is the key mate, it's a different style of running, rather than give them the normal safe distance you try and run as close as possible to them, similar to NML. It tales some practise, but it makes it more and more manageable. Even when dropping the stuff, the main key is to never let it go near the side wall. The back wall is ok kinda, but the side wall is pretty disastrous!
  23. I personally think it's just a bit screwy. I've gotten the drop on every single occasion that I've used knife only, or a combination of knifing, claymores and nades. I've also gotten it many times using just my sallies, including a lot of occasions where I definitely didn't get every hit marker.
  24. I can't see how that can be true mate. I've never got the fog round, and neither has Boysta. He has done a few 70s and 80s since the patch, I've done a load of 60s and a 70, and we both chain like crazy.
  25. You are right Tom, no-one has done 100 in here since for an entire game. I've come close, a friend has done 89, been a few other 80s. However, after playing it a lot, it becomes more and more manageable everytime. Sure there are times when you almost can't not go down, but monkey out and who's who means it's still imo the best strategy. It's the fastest, the most challenging and the most fun. It's also the best place for chains mate.
