  1. When I look at the current list of Hall of Famers, it seems like having been Carbonfibah's friend around the WaW and GKNova6 days counts for way more than it should. Most of them have less than 200 posts and haven't logged on in years. - Mix
  2. Here's my video of getting to Round 51 solo. On this run, Jugg was literally the last perk machine to drop. I went 28 rounds without it, and without getting dropped by zombies. That gave me the confidence boost to just keep try-harding my way to a high score. Watch how I group and run my trains in the backyard. I keep circling the big center area as much as possible. I only duck under the stairs or into the garden if there are absolutely no other alternatives at the moment. I do it that way because there's always a risk of getting caught shooting through the tighter gaps. And like others have said, you have to get a feel for how close you really can get to them without getting hurt. One thing that I find key to surviving without Jugg on this map is to control the spawns as much as possible. Do not kill any zombies until you have all 24 in a tight train. Then when you do kill zombies, only kill up to 4 at a time. Wait for those few zombies to spawn back in and join the train before killing again. Rinse, Lather, Repeat as much as needed. lead_psychopath don't hate on my boy Ali-A. You know I made his gfx for him, right? lol - Mix
  3. That might be because at this point of the game, they likely have every door opened up, and can't afford to have claymores stacked around the machines anymore to delay the monkeys from pouncing on the machines. Stacks of claymores can be "the straw that breaks the camels back" so to speak, causing the RAM memory to overload and crash the game. At that high of round, you have to pull extra measures to keep the memory calculations down. Plus when they added the Mule Kick machine, it just makes monkey rounds extra chaotic. They now have one more target, which makes it harder for you to defend any of them. - Mix
  4. Yeah I was thinking the same thing too. But when I look back at my body of work and how long I've been here, if I haven't earned it by now, I doubt it's ever going to happen... - Mix
  5. Veterans are retired Staff Members. - Mix
  6. OMG I'm playing around in NDT within Cinema 4D!!! The textures needed to be relinked and reloaded, but it's all good (I can send you the updated file if you want). I think I may have just found my bunker for a future zombies project I have in the works. Thanks for the hookups. - Mix
  7. This EE is B.S. Don't waste your time being trolled. And to anyone that wants to argue that it's real.... post a vid of it, or it didn't happen. - Mix
  8. I donated $5.00 USD via PayPal. Yet the donations page says I donated $4.55. Who's skimming off my donation monies? - Mix
  9. And where's your proof that production starts within a few weeks? AAA Games take much longer than 1 year to develop these days. There's no way to get a COD game from concept, to alpha, to beta, to release, within a year's time. The whole reason Sledgehammer was brought into the COD cycle was because Activision acknowledges the fact that complexity of AAA games today are taking longer to develop than ever before. The biggest games are now taking at least 3 years to complete instead of 2. (or 1 as you suggest). The scope of the production is way bigger than that of summer blockbuster movies. Ask yourself this... If you had 3 years to develop the next COD game, knowing your competition in the series is IW and Sledgehammer, and you are expected to out-do yourself every single time, would you sit around for 2 years? Or would you start developing the next game as soon as your last one was finished? By now the road map for development has had to already been laid out. Maybe this quote about Sledgehammer's approach to Advanced Warfighter might shed some perspective: "It took three years to build something new from the start, with a new subfranchise, a new setting 40 years in the future, and new technology worthy of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One." source: http://venturebeat.com/2014/07/31/how-sledgehammer-games-became-the-new-call-of-duty-studio-interview/ - Mix
  10. Since COD games are now on a 3-year development cycle, production for the next Treyarch game started 2 years ago. We're well past the point of them taking in community feedback to implement as features in the game. - Mix
  11. I should really get around to fixing all the broken youtube links on my old threads someday. So much valuable research lost with the forum upgrade. Here's a very rare photo of Ham, Enos, and Minnie I recently found. Feels like it belongs here. - Mix
  12. I think I've been down this type of rabbit hole before. Check out this one I found that's in Eilat, Israel - Mix

  15. I'm cool with the ads. This topic has been a source of controversy forever it seems. Treyarch is not going to send their legal team after this site for monetizing it, in order to keep it running. The community is important to them You don't see them taking PTG's or Syndicate's youtube channels down for using their imagery and monetizing it, right. And if it's an aesthetics thing people are complaining about, then those people need to get real. I've heard stories in the past of staff members missing meals, or paying other bills late, just to cover the site's server expenses. Screw the aesthetics of a no-ad site if it's costing our friends here their livelihoods. Thanks for finally coming to your senses Long live CODZ!!! - Mix
  16. Either CODZ has changed or we are experiencing a new paradox within the space/time continuum...

  17. Thanks PINNAZ. Looks like I forgot to add that too. I remember seeing that in the starting room of Origins, and being relieved that the mystery was solved. Sure took some wild turns theorizing about that one on the Nuketown loading screen. - Mix
  18. Dragon comes through again! Thank you thank you thank you. Love what I'm seeing here. -Mix
  19. Even if we don't have access to the servers, I'm curious to know if we can still tear into the game files? Like models, textures, audio files, and cinematics. We might find something. - Mix
  20. I had fun reading the 4-part comic book mini series for The Last of Us. Looks like the story DLC is going to tie the story from the comic with the story from the game. They had a very small limited print run, so the first print editions were selling for big bucks on eBay. Thankfully the trade paperback recently came out and its reasonably priced. I'd love to see Treyarch do the same kind of thing with COD Zombies. I mean clearly we are a community that wants more more and more of the story to be told. I have no problem with it being told in different forms of media - Mix
  21. I finally saw Promethius today. Have you seen it? I remember we had a good convo about it before it released back in the days when the zombie labs bunker was still operational. I noticed all kinds of symbology and parallels to ancient alien astronaut theories, H.P. lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos, as well as Christianity. I remember in our discussion about H.R. Ginger that you found him immoral for scaring women away from giving birth. There was a scene in the movie that reminded me of that
  22. When I've suicided solo games, it's not 3 - 8 hr games. It's games that go on for 5 days or more, where I've already accomplished everything I set out to do. When you get to real high rounds, the game becomes these uber redundant horde-kill-repeat patterns. Rounds can take over an hour long. You've hit a point where the map is no longer a challenge and you're running extra laps just to say you did. Your mind feels like a hampster in a wheel. Once you are at this stage of the game, you may start debating with yourself when it's time to pull the plug. "Do I really want to waste another hour of my life, just to say I got one round higher?" If it's no fun anymore, why play? If you're bored, go play something else. IMO the game is about fun, not stamina. - Mix
  23. First time I ever heard of Yoteslaya was when he made the world record Rd 151 on Ascension. He was absolutely one of the very best solo players in zombies. One thing that really stood out to me about him was how as a "big youtuber", he definitely helped the little guy out as much as he could. Some of his friends such as Predictable Nova now have successful youtube channels of their own because of his help. He ran the biggest zombie community channel on youtube called ZombieSlayinNation. I can definitely say he's helped me out since I posted a few videos there. He also did a lot for the PC custom zombie community. Yote's Lair is one of the best custom zombie maps of all time. The dude's definitely going to be missing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For anyone interested, there's a fundraiser by PredicatableNova that benefits his memorial and kid's college funds: http://elektrek.bigcartel.com/category/limited-edition CagmhM0hgLU R.I.P YoteSlaya - Mix
