  1. First off, welcome to the forum friendo! Yes, we've had wide theories and research drilled into the connection between the Vril-ya, the Vril Society, and the Nazis. The biggest in-game proof of how this all began to unfold actually came from Shangri-la in Black Ops. This landscape is supposedly an ancient Vril location with connection to the Hollow Earth [there are multiple entryways to Agartha, but Shangri-la is just a step in this]. Any proof of said action (entering the ancient homeland) can be found in Shooter's thread: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/ ... 69&t=22893 Here is an image explaining how and where the ancient civilization dwells: There is extensive information on the Vril-ya, and their origins/explanations on the coming of their very existence. How they tied into Black Ops aside Shangri-la is here in MurderMachineX's Zombie Trilogy thread: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/ ... 9&start=60 If you'd like to know how they are relevant to Black Ops II, may I lead you to this wonderful thread by our awesome MixMasterNut: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/ ... 03&t=28480
  2. This went un-replied to? Really now? This is great research, friendo! We haven't gave up on the formation speculation of the layout just yet, although people have come to the conclusion that there is no more to the Side Quest in Tranzit for now. But to say we can't suggest new ideas for what could be of Tranzit upon returning (in some different form I suspect) would be utterly arrogant. So you are saying that the cars laid out in the map are used not only where to use a Turbine for the streetlights, but also what formation to create a landscape clock? My my, what an interesting idea. We could test this idea out now or wait until we get confirmation of returning back to Green Run. Nevertheless, this is great research and discovery. :)
  3. Kowloon is located in Shanghai. In fact, the map layout for Kowloon in Black Ops Multiplayer mainly takes place between a few consolidated residential districts, where as Great Leap Forward encases itself in the outside area of Kowloon. Rick Click > View Image in New Tab to see the full image. Notice how the top of the image shows rather large buildings much similar to the ones we see in Die Rise. We could even say that there are both the same maps, but in different general districts. @Mix: My wife is looking into the characters right now, and I'll get back to you asap.
  4. In-game and sentimentally, I'd have to side with Maxis. I am very interested in seeing how exactly he will eradicate Richtofen and what he will do afterwards. We don't know what his true intentions are, and whether he will actually restore the world back to normal and leave it as it was before zombies.
  5. Welcome to the forum, friendo! You chose right in finally deciding to register an account - you won't believe how much fun you'll be having here. Enjoy your stay, and I hope to see you around often! :)
  6. While Richtofen does reside in the MPD at the moment, there is a darker force within. Samantha's quote on Moon tells us that another being or power lurks inside the mechanism, and is more powerful/sinister than we can imagine. This power could be the same one that told Richtofen what to do in order to breach into the Aether. Theoretically, you could say that he is being used as a puppet for them. The voices Stuhlinger hears are darker than Richtofen's voice in Die Rise, and sounds as if there are more than one [beings] making the noises. I noticed that they become more defined when there are zombies around, and you can distinguish between zombie moans and these...eerie sounds.
  7. But the thing is, Die Rise occurs after Tranzit. There are a few quotes by the crew which support that fact. But let's take into consideration what could have happened if this were not the case. Richtofen teleports the crew to Shanghai, and there they must decide whether to follow Richtofen or Maxis. They follow Maxis, and hit the reincarnation step. Maxis being reincarnated in Russman's body is probably one of the most interesting and open idea I've seen in the Die Rise forum (or any topic related to Die Rise). Sadly, that would mean we have Maxis cruising with us for the rest of Black Ops II, and I don't exactly believe that would work accordingly to the storyline. Plus, bear in mind that Maxis is stuck within the central dataframe of Griffin Station on Moon. To have an electrical A.I. - or entity - somehow reside in a human body by revival via the Krauss Refibrillator doesn't seem accurate. Perhaps by triggering a mechanism or device in the future maps, this could be taken into consideration more.
  8. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=28480 This topic will answer any and all your questions regarding The Flesh cult and how Stuhlinger could be involved in it. But briefly, it's possible that he may be turning into a zombie. Eating zombie flesh has taken its toll on the consumers, and those who eat the flesh obtain side-effects such as schizophrenia, paranoia, and so on. The voices he hears in his head could be of two reasons: - he is turning into a zombie with the 115 infecting his mind and body - the dark entity that resides in the MPD are contacting through him (the same voices in which Richtofen claims to hear before coming into power)
  9. I honestly don't see a face. I see this rather blotched image in the top part of what you circles. It looks more like a normal zombie face than anything else.
  10. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=29169 Behold, the cup of the Die Rise patch critique. ;)
  11. viewtopic.php?f=103&t=27131 This perhaps?
  12. If trying to achieve something through experimentation and hypothesis is considering being an idiot, then we all are - including you. There is one small problem with this, OP: the beams of light are glitches that only occur on the Xbox 360. That being said, it wouldn't be smart for Treyarch to make the Easter Egg only available to one console.
  13. Welcome to the community, friendo! For someone who just registered on here, I must say that you have a very excellent there. It's not to say that all new members don't know how to theorize, but it's good to see that you read up and formulated your own idea based off pre-existing concepts. Great job. I think you may be on to something. The original plan for 115 was to develop intense weaponry and create super soldiers for Germany way back in the 1940's while Richtofen was still involved in Group 935. To say that he wants to go through with it once more but for his own intentions now is...extremely relevant. Richtofen also had similar experiences to that of The Flesh cult members since there are is soft evidence of him having a certain appetite for zombie flesh (hence his quotes in Black Ops). Using The Flesh as his army seems like the most ideal solution to being in complete power. By doing so, he can create a utopia of zombie flesh-eating minions to worship him as a god like you said. I don't think he'll kill of those who impose a threat to him, but rather force them into the cult. After all, not everyone will be obliged to eat zombie flesh. It'll be the same dictatorship to that of Mussolini or Hitler. Genius post of yours is genius. Keep up the amazing ideas!
  14. This also happens when regularly going down in an isolated area far from your team. Zombies generally go after the next person if you are downed. I think the zombies aren't respawning like they should, and are stuck because of it. After you bleed out, then they respawn near other teammates. But this has happened before the patch...at least for me.
  15. Welcome to the forum officially, friendo! Seems like everyone is getting excited for that Grief Wipeout, huh? I'll have to check that out myself. Enjoy your stay, participate in our variety of discussions, and keep on slayin'!
  16. I wouldn't mind having it on every map, but it just feels like it'd be the next PHD Flopper. The reason we don't have Flopper is because: 1) Treyarch knew we wanted it badly, and decided to troll us by showing us the machine but not being able to access it. 2) It would make playing Die Rise too easy considering the vertical layout it is in. 3) We rely on it more than we should. Who's Who makes up for the structure difficulty of Great Leap Forward because we are dealing with jumping and vertical movement like never before. Plus, it's difficult - but not impossible - to reach certain areas if you stray away from your teammates. This forces everyone to work together rather than splitting off like in Tranzit. Basically, Who's Who seems more designed for Great Leap Forward and would make things a bit too easy later on. Still, I think it would be nice to have in the future.
  17. Hey friendo, welcome to the forums! I totally understand how you feel right now; I honestly didn't walk into the community until the beginning of Black Ops as well. Throughout time, you'll find yourself participating in tons of interesting discussions, and I'm sure that the more input you deliver, the more recognition you'll get. In due time, you'll fall in love with this place so hard, you could say that you'll be...a zombie. 8-) Anyways, I hope to see you around often, and keep on slayin'!
  18. In a way, yes. Don't think of it as some kind of MTD or our typical teleportation machines, but more of a device that can tear a rip in the space-time continuum. A hole in time, if you want to look at it more specifically. The energy fields all around the Earth will be modified and so will the polarization of the Earth. This is how the tear will occur. At the same time, we constantly (we meaning the New Crew) deliver energy to Richtofen so he has the power to enter through that time distortion. From there, he can alter the past to create his ideal future. I honestly had to look up what the Animus was, since I know little to nothing about Assassin's Creed. But I don't fully understand how the two could be similar, since Zombies ties in with Campaign and Multiplayer, so every aspect of Call of Duty [Treyarch] games would be involved since World at War. In the same way, however, I guess you can say that the Animus may be complimentary to Zombies when you think of entering different dimensions or timelines in order to change the future. So yes, you'd be pretty correct on saying that.
  19. It's nothing too much to explain about; I was only saying that there is various time distortions which Richtofen wants to fix so he could essential rewrite history in his favor. The rift he tells Stuhlinger is that said distortion, and he cannot do it alone. At the moment, we've been focusing intently on receptors that process and deliver energy to either one of the two entities. With enough power, Richtofen can go back in time and prevent Maxis from destroying the Earth so he could rule over it completely. To make it simplified, here is a diagram of how things have been turning out for Richtofen as of the moment: As you can see, the orange represents Samantha begin in power up until Moon. Once Richtofen comes into power, the timeline shifts slightly but not too much. Maxis, however, launched the ballistic missiles at Earth to limit the amount of chaos Richtofen would cause. Because of this, Richtofen is now placed on an entirely new timeline where Call of the Dead and Shangri-la have never occurred. The break line represents the time distortion, though it should be more focused in the middle on Moon than before it. All the DLCs will lead up to Richtofen & Maxis gaining as much power as possible to take unsustainable actions against the other. By Richtofen mending the time distortion, he creates a straight timeline instead of branching out as shown in the diagram. By doing so, his rise to power and his control over Earth will appear flawless without any hindrances to his plan since he will eradicate Maxis in the finale (or so we can assume).
  20. Ah! You must be talking about where the Semtex area is, the drop-off into that small room. In that case, I'm not very positive whether you can reach is by simply dropping or not. It looks to be that the top area where you'd drop slightly overhangs above the room, making it impossible to access without falling. But I do know that a Trample Steam from the room complex (room after original Mystery Box spawn location) would fix that easily.
  21. I'm unsure of what you're saying. Do you mean that open spot near the corner elevator (where Mystery Box would spawn)? If so, you need to open at least two doors to access the MP5 hallway.
  22. That AUTEC information was a very good read. It wasn't all too surprising since it's common knowledge that many top-secret bases would be tucked away underground. But to think the Bermuda Triangle...wow. Conspiracies are floating around like butterflies now, just yearning to be caught. The eclipse is very hard to explain, so I do hope that I could nail this one deep enough on the head. When activating the eclipse, you are doing the work of a teleporter - going back in time. Upon reverting back in time, we notice the meteor as just struck the temple where Pack-a-Punch resides. Considering that this is still fairly fresh and Brock & Gary were still alive, we didn't venture too far back. No specific date is mentioned and the cycle vigorously continues because Brock touched the 115-infested meteoric, causing a time distortion in which time would repeat itself. What does this tell us? Well, for one, we are altering the time flow not just in Shangri-la, but everywhere else. The Sun doesn't belong to Shangri, nor does the eclipse. Since we are going with your theory, we can say that Shangri-la shares the same sky just as Area 51 does. When I tried to reason with myself how the eclipse would react outside the location, I thought of something similar to this: Note that the half-dome is encompassing Shangri-la so we could examine it carefully. Now there are several outputs that could happen here. This one displays events only occurring within Shangri-la, but Area 51 and what you can call the "outside world" is not affected. In this scenario, everything is affected regardless of any conditions. I believe this to be true more than having only one are affected and not the other. I'm unsure of the events that were unfolding in Hangar 18 during the time of Shangri-la, but whatever it could have been, time kept reversing itself. The only thing that changed as a result of altering the past was resizing the meteorite and perhaps modifying a few underground contraptions (the sames ones Brock and Gary were attempting to bypass). In essence, the idea that the Original Crew went through a different form of time travel is quite plausible. Ancient Vril technology was used, just as you said, to revert the time flow. We didn't make huge changes in history; only a minor stepping stone that benefited Richtofen by allowing him the Focusing Stone.
  23. You'll have better luck finding Easter Egg friendos to help you here: viewforum.php?f=13 Happy hunting and slaying! :)
  24. Looks is the key word here. I'm afraid I have to agree with OPL on this one; when you are talking to a zombie overlord that is demanding you follow his very instructions without any reward other than restoring the Earth while not explaining what is going on and blackmailing you, I'd be in a very critical thinking mode. From what the cutscene shows, who isn't to say that Stuhlinger is only near an open area to he could focus and concentrate better. After all, I wouldn't be able to think clearly with zombies around me either. It's not to say that Stuhlinger is not contemplating suicide, but this wouldn't exactly be the ideal focus at the moment. What would he care if the Richtofen told the others about The Flesh? If he's dead, nobody can say anything to him.
  25. But it's not us "bitching". And playing the whole "try making a game" scenario doesn't work. The process is relatively simple - Treyarch makes a game aimed to please and entertained. We, the fans, produce comments and critique on things we like/dislike. Depending on the magnitude of our concerns, Treyarch responds with better material and fixes. We rely on them just as much as they rely on us. It's an even game where both sides will benefit if communication is the ideal motive for success. And by the way, it's not a Wonder Weapon being nerfed that is the problem. It's Treyarch making changes to a few things that do not require fixes. Did the Sliquifier really need to be altered? No; but if Treyarch felt that it was too powerful in their eyes and they decided to change it for the sake of making the game more challenging, then they should have given it a bit more time before doing something. Right now, the most important issues at hand are the glitches, the death barriers, and various other gameplay quirks. Treyarch did a fantastic job with the Revolution DLC, do not get me wrong here. In fact, everyone here will tell you that it's 200% of an improvement compared to Tranzit. People aren't upset because of some stupid Wonder Weapon - if they really wanted to, they could get past Round 100 without any kind of Wonder Weapon. It's not focusing on the larger problems that irks all of us. I'm glad that a ton of glitches were fixed, even ones we didn't know really existed. But we have other, more important side effects to worry about.
