Weird death barrier/glitch

Last night another player and I were camping in the Jug hallway. I was using the Paralyzer, and he got in front of me a little bit and jumped, which gave him a boost into the air. All of a sudden, "Game Over". I could see if the game would kill him thinking he was trying to get into a glitch, but why would it kill me, standing on the ground? Anyone have this happen to them?

i haven't seen that one or heard about it, probably a barrier glitch that Treyarch introduced.

I think he may have clipped your head. This would cause a double downing, ending the game if it was 2 player. If you could possibly get footage, it would be easier to tell, but if you go into Theatre, and view the event from the side, does his foot touch your head?

I have a saved clip of me using the paralyzer on solo, and in the clip I flew up to the top off the saloon from outside and boom! Game Over!?

 

Had Jugg and QR, but apparently I hit some death barrier on the roof and game ended. Had 40,000 points on me too that I had just taken out of the bank!

Yep, that's exactly what happened.

I was playing a game of die rise the other day. I was the last man standing, survived the round, and was going on an ammo run. Took the elevator (to the left of the of the PDW) up and there was a tramp right at the door. Jumped up into it and got launched. Black screen- and respawned in Whos who without original body. I recover go down the slide by the Mystery box spawn, and again barrier with instant death.  WTTTFFFF.

Oh wow that's pretty unfortunate. Your friend would've been jumping to get away, and ended in the Paralyser rays. Probably surprised him to when he started going up in the air haha.

That sux. I've seen that happen before, and wasn't sure what I had seen. The "death barrier" makes sense.
