  1. I tried doing this side of the easter egg 3 times and had success each time (as far as the easter egg was going), but failed twice due to my team going down. I passed the step of the quest (the reincarnation one) both times I reached it simply by shooting the Buddha on the wall (the left one) with the Krauss Refibrillator, on the first try. Not sure what you guys are doing wrong or if it's an actual glitch. The whole team I was with did each step at a time, without rushing too much. No one went to the Buddha room until the balls had been shot from the Dragon mouths. People tried taking the balls with us, and without, in each time the Easter Egg kept going. So yeah. Just keep trying, and make sure to do the steps in order (use NGT Zombies for the basic step guide, though I don't recommend downing anyone in the Reincarnation step, just do that the way I did).
  2. They usually forget about it after round 2. I don't care, I just laugh at them, then keep playing.
  3. Time to not use Double Tap 2 - When your strategy revolves around the use of these weapons: M&S, Sliquifier, Jet Gun (and maybe Ray Gun). In these cases replace it with Speed Cola. Time to use Double Tap 2 - All other times. Though I don't think the Ray Gun needs Double Tap, it is so much better with it, so when I'm playing solo Tranzit, I use Double Tap until Round 40. Once I go down after that, Speed Cola. (Other perks: Jug, Stamin-up, Quick Revive/Tombstone). I always get it in Die Rise unless I'm doing solo and focusing on the Sliquifier. And I always get it on the other maps. It's a perk truly worth getting, though I'll never get it before Jug unless I have enough for both and I'm on my way to Jug next.
  4. Until the latest patch, Tranzit > Die Rise > Nuketown. Now that Treyarch completely owned the Jet Gun, I don't enjoy Tranzit as much as I did. Nuketown is just dull. Probably wouldn't play it if I didn't want to use the LSAT/M27.
  5. I reached round 48 with 2 random guys on a public match. How? By splitting up. After the first few rounds, one of us went to the Buddha room, another ran a train in the MP5 floor (I think) and I ran the China Cafe room. Splitting up and running trains > sitting in a corner together. Every single time. The best spot to run a train near a buddy is the room with a hole in the floor (upside down building) and the room underneath it, most likely. I've tried it before with some success. In the end, your best bet is to split up. Camping in a spot only lasts so long because (1) the zombies become too strong to kill as fast as they spawn and (2) you run out of ammo faster if you don't take them out in groups. Not to mention you're more likely to all go down at the same time if you're all in the same place. I've seen this happen so many times with random people and I'm usually the last one left because I rarely decide to sit in the corner camping. I get out of there and run trains even if I get less kills than they do.
  6. Guessing you're doing Richtofen's side. First off, I'd recommend that you don't open doors to the MP5 and in the Trample Steam room for the first step. You can save money by riding the Quick Revive elevator up to the PDW room to reach the elevator in that room, and you can enter the MP5 elevator via the bottom floor (near the Remington). The Sliquifier can easily be built round 1 once you flip the power on. Just jump down to the bottom floor from the room in front of the power room, or ride the elevator down (make sure you get any Sliq pieces up there before going down). Build whatever pieces you have, and get the last piece (the foot-like part) by riding the Remington elevator to reach that floor, and then back down. Costs nothing this way, though it takes some patience. As Lithium said, use the SVU as your sniper rifle. Whoever wants to get the floor tile above the AK74u can grab it on the way there (to avoid paying for doors, ride the Quick revive elevator back up to the M14 room, then drop down on the broken stairwell). Hope this helps!
  7. Nice video Tom, I hadn't realized getting to town could be so easy without Jug. I'll start using that. Also I didn't know about the lagless knifing with weapons like the M14. Good stuff!
  8. While many people might like the idea, personally I I feel like I prefer the idea of not having classic maps. BO2 zombies has a much different feel to it, and personally I like that feel. The new feel fits the new maps perfectly while I don't think that feel would fit the old maps as well. Honestly, I like the variety. But that's just me.
  9. I probably did something wrong then, but in any case, without the Sliquifier dropping Max Ammos, I really doubt people would be able to get to 80+ sitting in one spot.
  10. How do you roll the box mid round up in the diner area or by isolated elevator? and people could go for rounds anyways without max ammo up to at least the 70s anyways. You'd have to run a big circle, hit the box fast, and move. The point would be that it'd be hard to do, unlike where you can get max ammos easily. And I think I can safely say that if the Sliquifier didn't drop max ammos, you'd have to use other weapons than it. After about round 30. Source? From when I tested sitting in the GK room a while back.
  11. I've been thinking about the Sliquifier and I came back to this thread to post a possible solution to the weapon. One of the main reasons the Sliquifier is so good for people who abuse spawn exploits and safe spots on top of slopes is that it allows power-ups to drop. Back in the day, the old wonder weapons like the Wunderwaffe and the Thundergun would not allow power-ups to spawn, meaning you had to kill the zombies with other weapons or recycle them in the Mystery Box to continue usage. If the Sliquifier was patched back to the way it originally was (with infinite damage, no small extra slime pools) but it was no longer allowed to drop power-ups, I think that a lot of the issues of people abusing it would be gone, but the good players would be able to enjoy it once again. Since it would no longer drop power-ups, those who simply wanted to abuse it would have a certain limit to how long they could do that - until their ammo ran out. They'd have to start using other weapons (and most likely running trains) and the Mystery Box. Which would largely solve the issue of the Sliquifier being so abusable. I honestly think that if Treyarch did this, this would do so much towards fixing Die Rise and its issues. If you guys agree with me, please bump, make a new thread, a poll, just something. So that maybe Treyarch will consider doing this.
  12. I consider Richtofen's to be a bit easier, due to the same reasons that people have been saying here.
  13. Bumping for the benefit of newcoming PS3 users.
  14. I wouldn't say that Treyarch is agreeing that it was a glitch, more like they saw it as unfair and removed it. My friends who had high rounds that way are just the same as before, except the round is no longer listed, whereas if it was actually a glitch they would possibly have been punished further. In some ways it's like they want a fresh start. Which is probably for the best.
  15. If you're right, this is a useful thing imo. I'll test it. If it works, I could use this to get rid of perks I don't want that I get from jumpers.
  16. So far most of the scores above 100 rounds are gone, at least from what I see.
  17. Go and look at them. Looks like most of the really high rounds with the GK room were removed. I'm surprised Treyarch actually did it.
  18. The quotes you're hearing are from the Moon Easter Egg. They confirm that this map occurs at the same time as Moon.
  19. It can create crawlers now? Can I see your source for this? If this is true, that's just messed up. Sure. Seeing this angers me more than the liquid trails everywhere. Really, Treyarch?!?! Really?!?!
  20. Let me quickly add my thoughts to this thread. I agree with Chopper's points for the most part. Treyarch seems to be following a pattern in BO2 Zombies of starting off with each map fresh, interesting and new. Then after they see people doing stuff and having fun (whether it's glitches or not) they feel a need to patch it, and take that fun stuff away and make the game as hard as they can. I don't think we needed to have the zombies swing faster. That may just be me, but I don't think it was was necessary. It's not the end of the world for me that I get downed more often since I can get hit from behind now while running, and get instantly killed by a zombie if they get within reach and I don't have Juggernog, but I don't think the change was necessary. But it irritates me more that they had to change the Jet Gun (yeah, I know people say it wasn't meant to be used quickly, that's fine, but it still was that way for more than a few months! Why change it now of all times?!), and the Sliquifier. The Sliquifier was 100% fine the way it was when the map was released. It was such a well balanced weapon, I loved it. Now, I still think it's good but I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much. I'm scared to enter the shaft of the Escher building now, because I know there's a 10-25% chance that I could have my game ruined for using the path that Treyarch made for us due to that stupid glitch which has killed me several times. So I have to Trample Steam everywhere. This is retarded, and should be what Treyarch patches, not the things that people are actually having a good time enjoying. I like it that Treyarch wants to fix problems in their games, I really do. A lot of companies don't even bother. But as one of the people actually playing that game, what I'd like to see changed and fixed are the things that need to be fixed... like barrier glitches and death slides... not the weapons of the map, or the things that people like about it. I feel like it's important to leave the good things alone. As far as NTZ, I also spent my money for the Hardened version of the game just so I could get that map. I was a bit offended to find I'd been cheated. Please right this wrong to us, Treyarch. Like, give us a free download of the next map pack or something. That would be the right thing to do. Long and short of it - Fix what needs to be fixed, and leave well enough alone. It can create crawlers now? Can I see your source for this? If this is true, that's just messed up.
  21. Yeah, I've experienced both this glitch and the one where you instantly die coming down the slide to the Mystery Box. I can confirm that neither is related to fall damage, and that both are still in the game. (Was downed by the one to the box just last night. Took me down instantly, had 4 perks, Sliquifier, M&S, Ray Gun, Monkeys... gah.) Yeah Treyarch needs to fix this.
  22. Hi. I was just playing a match of Tranzit with some friends. Built the Jet Gun and started to use it with the prefire technique, where you can start it up fast and then put it away again. I did everything perfectly as I did in the past, but what do you know, the Jet Gun doesn't suck the zombies in and I almost die in a corner. I run away, wierded out, and I try it again. Nope, it's still not sucking them in. It actually starts killing them about a second after it starts sucking. What the heck Treyarch? Did they change it now so that the Jet Gun can only be used the old-style slow way? If this is indeed the case, high rounds in Tranzit will become so much more difficult than they were before. Probably not gonna even bother passing my high score for TranZit, now. Seriously, what the heck? First time they update it and the zombies swing faster, and die out when you leave the area. Now, the Jet Gun can't even be used semi-quickly anymore. I wish Treyarch would stop messing with TranZit, it was pretty much just fine the way it was when it was released, minus a few barrier glitches here and there.
  23. Also can this be stickied or whatever? This guide should be one of the first topics for this Die Rise section of the boards, like way2g00's ToB guide for TranZit.
  24. Ideally flying through the tower, and all Trample Steams should be going simultaneously. This guide needs a correction: for the Maxis side, you don't have to down Russman. In that step, you can just shoot the upside down Buddha statues with the Krauss Refibrillator. It's been posted on Youtube before, and I did this myself today while I was doing the easter egg.
  25. This is intriguing. Keep it coming! Good stuff.
