  1. The quotes are probably for future DLC maps. Remember, Five had the Death Machine drop and Kino didn't.... obviously they have their reasons for picking which drops to implement and which to leave out of each map.
  2. Jesus.... not everything is some hidden message or hint. You're so far down the rabbit hole it's ridiculous. Here, I can do it too... Someone tweeted saying that the world didn't end on the 21st and he was going to the happiest place on Earth. Jimmy tweeted "The bar"!!! There's a bar in TranZit! He's saying it's the happiest place on Earth because the next step on the EE is there! Another person tweeted him that they finally got their Zombies rank upgraded and he said "nice work"! He's trying to tell us to go to the bar to "work" for the next step!! Also, he said "nice" work... not good work or great work, but "nice". Why did he choose that word!? He's referencing the song "Wouldn't it be nice" by the Beach Boys!! Here's some of the lyrics; "Wouldn't it be nice to live together, in the kind of world where be belong" It's all right there! We don't "belong" in the world now because the zombies have taken over! So we need to go to the bar and work to make the world a place where humans belong!! I've just shown you all the answers. It's all there. They've given us the hints. Now keep this thread bumped!! If you don't I'll just repeatedly post whether anyone thinks my words have value or not.
  3. Obviously there will be another game with Zombies... but Black Ops 2 Zombies will have a finale. Just like Moon was the finale of Black Ops Zombies.
  4. Doesn't really mean anything. He could have easily taken a screen shot from the game, photoshopped it, and then displayed it on his TV to take a picture of. If it's real then awesome.... but I'm pretty doubtful at the moment.
  5. Yeah, a lot of people have tried to make that "orb" out to be something, but it's just a lighting/reflection anomaly. I've seen it in at least one other window in the map, too. It's nothing.
  6. Yes, the answer is there is more. And it will come with DLC. Green Run is done for now. I've said it before and I'll say it again... you guys all want to go on about how people are "quitters" for realizing there's no more to the map. Well how come you're all not still searching for that ice cave in Call of the Dead? Bunch of quitters?!
  7. I just hope after all the dlc they some how come back to Green Run and do something amazing or something hilarious. I do believe they will all tie together. That's pretty much a given. Yeah, I think it's pretty much a given that we'll return to Green Run to do more eventually, considering we have a useless navcard reader in the map. In Black Ops they introduced the mechanic of bringing things from previous maps into new ones.... so it makes sense that we'll be able to do the opposite in Black Ops 2; take an item from a new map and use it in a previous one.
  8. As I posted in another thread, the Moon EE was long and had an awesome reward because it was a continuation of the two previous maps' EEs. You couldn't do the second half of the Moon EE unless you had also completed Call of the Dead and Shangri-La. It was the "Grand finale" of Black Ops Zombies, you could say. So just because it was long and rewarding doesn't mean that the first map in Black Ops 2 is going to have an equivalent task. Yes, the TranZit/Green Run EE is pretty lame so far and disappointing for sure, but it makes sense that there would be less to it. They have to build up to the complex and rewarding ones again.
  9. I was under the impression that Samuel hears Richtofen's voice, not God's. Well yeah, but I think he's getting at the connection of both of them hearing voices... which I'm sure was intentional to some extent.
  10. Notice this as well, it runs like a jet engine for awhile then slows down, however if you switch modes(zombies to MP, Mp to zombies, ect) it sounds like a jet engine again. Kinda makes me wonder if there is a problem with the game since I have it installed to the xbox harddrive. That's because since you have the game installed to the HDD, it only actually reads the disc when you first start up the game or switch modes. You're just hearing the disc drive running for a bit. I do know, however, that some games seem to be much louder running in my Xbox than others. I'm not sure if it's because of the information on the disc or maybe the label has it off-balance enough to make it louder (for the record I'm running the older model 360, standing upright), but I definitely hear that "jet engine" sound of the disc drive running on the occasional game disc. For those having freezing problems on PS3, do you have your game installed to the HDD? Even if this isn't the cause of the freezing, if it is, in fact, harder on the Blu Ray drive as was mentioned, it's a good idea to install it anyways just so the drive doesn't have to work as much. It's also possible that connection problems could be causing the freezes, which would make sense if it happens more when you're hosting. It could even cause problems in solo games because even when playing solo you're connected to the servers. In fact, I was booted out of a solo game last week at round 31 with a "lost connection to server" type error message. Before the game quit... it froze for a few seconds. It's entirely possible that they're having issues with their PS3 servers and it's causing console freezes.
  11. The patch notes, posted at http://community.callofduty.com/message/413598236 are as follows; Seems kind of odd to me that they would spend the money to put out a patch just for security updates (Microsoft, at least, charges a significant amount of money for a publisher to put out updates) that they could have added with another patch... and it seemed like a decent size download. So it is possible that they hid something in there for Zombies. Then again, Microsoft is also pretty strict about these things... they're not too keen on anyone adding to games without charging for it as DLC. 4J, for instance, had to fight to be able to update Minecraft for free (and I believe they were only allowed 4 total free updates). But I suppose if it's just something small like adding to an EE or something they might allow it, considering what a huge franchise CoD is.
  12. "That's for all the times your kind probed us Earth-folk!" "Holy shnikes it's an alien!" "I know what those aliens do inside their flying discs!" "The aliens try to talk to me at night, when I'm trying to sleep!" All the quotes regarding aliens by Samuel J. Stuhlinger in Green Run. I swear I remember him saying something about abductions, then pausing and saying something to the effect of "Or... so I've... heard" as if he's trying to hide the fact that he himself was abducted. It might actually be the "flying discs" quote, now that I think about it. Can't quite remember. Edit; Here's one "No don't probe me! Not again!" Still looking for the one I was thinking about. Here it is... it is the flying discs quote; "I know what those aliens do inside their flying discs! I.... heard all about it." Also, listening to all his quotes, Samuel seems to be a Megadeth fan. He says something about "High speed dirt" which is the name of a Megadeth song, and also says "Killing is my business... and business is good!" which was the name of their first album.
  13. Wow, calm down. It is possible for two people to have similar thoughts... you don't need to go raging and accusing people of "stealing" things. Hell, I've been posting pretty much since the game came out that I think they're using the navcard table to set up the possibility to use items acquired in future maps to be used in older ones... you don't see me freaking out, throwing a tantrum, and calling people thieves in huge text.
  14. Yeah, I definitely think there's some foreshadowing here and there that aliens will be more involved with zombies with future DLC. Whether it will be just with the storyline or with the gameplay also I don't know... but I think they will have some involvement with things. There's also a strong possibility that the Denizens could be alien to some degree.... possibly hybrids.
  15. He also makes a lot of comments about aliens and about possibly having been abducted. So it could also be that he can hear Richtofen because of some device implanted in him by aliens at some point. Just throwing that out there.
  16. You know, I kind of had a theory about this... from a real-word (design, I guess) standpoint. As most of the long-time zombie slayers know, the "SAM!" shouted by the zombies wasn't originally intended to be a name. Probably not even a real word... it was just a random zombie sound effect. The fans interpreted it as the zombies saying "SAM!", and the zombies team ran with that idea, creating Samantha Maxis and making her the central figure of the story... the "controller" of the zombies. So, now they're making BOII, Richtofen is now in control, and they come to this. "Well, Jimmy, should we change or remove that sound effect? Sam isn't in control of the zombies anymore..." "No, I've got a solution. We just name one of the four new characters 'Samuel', make him a mysterious central figure in the EE, and we can just say the zombies are shouting his name for whatever reason now." So... yeah. I guess my in-universe theory would be that for whatever reason, the zombies are now referring to Samuel Stuhlinger now when they shout "SAM!", and not Samanthe Maxis. Why? I'm not sure... either because they're after him or because he has some greater purpose we're not yet aware of.
  17. While I still think they could have done at least a little more with the Green Run EE, I do partly agree with you. Also, people seem to forget that while the Moon EE was long, complex, and had an awesome reward... it was actually the completion of three EEs from three different maps. Moon's EE could not be done to completion unless you had also completed Call of the Dead and Shangri-La's EEs. So really, the awesome "have every perk and keep them all no matter what" reward wasn't just for completing Moon, it was a culmination of multiple maps. Still, it's pretty lame of them to take a step backward. Yes, Kino was a pretty basic map, but it also didn't really leave out a bunch of stuff from W@W's DLC maps. It had all the perks we had seen so far, it had the teleporter like Der Reise, it had the PaP... all it was missing was an equivalent to the Fly Trap, and that really wasn't a major EE. It wasn't all that complex and didn't have some big in-game reward (that sort of EE really started with Ascension), so not having something similar in Kino didn't seem like such a letdown. That, to me, is the main difference between Green Run and Kino. Green Run does leave out a lot of things. Perks we had before are gone, the new perk can't even be used solo, the EE is simple in comparison to the last few (despite having two paths) and gives no worthwhile reward, there's no "bigger and better" Wonder Weapon in the box (yeah, we have the Jet Gun and it has it's good points... but IMO it's pretty lame compared to any Black Ops WW or the 'waffe)... it's like they built the mode up more and more with each DLC and now they're just starting over again. But, as I posted in another thread... I understand why they did it. If they went bigger and better than Moon with the vanilla game, then they would have to put that much more into topping it with DLC. This way, they start small and build it up again with each map. Hell, if the next DLC comes and we have Flopper, people will be excited just to see that. I don't like it, and it still seems pretty lazy... but I get the reasoning behind it.
  18. I want to marry this post. So true... every word of it. Sadly, it will fall on deaf ears. On one hand, I want to just say that if people are so gullible and full of blind hope that they'll put their faith in every troll that writes lame poems and sends them running in circles, then let them. But on the other... I, for instance, hardly even come here anymore. The number of daily "I've found the next step!!" and "Possible Treyarch employee posting hints!!" threads far outnumber the actual informative and interesting threads on here. And none of them ever lead to a damn thing. I just wish that we as a community could just admit that 3Arc let us down with a piss poor EE with a lame reward this time and move on. And in some defense of them... the bigger they start out in the vanilla game, the more they have to do to top it with DLC. Kinda makes sense the EE in the first map is mostly unimpressive.
  19. Oddly, while the game will not allow you to manually set down a shield in the bus, if you pick up another buildable while on the bus, the shield will be set down just like normal. As far as multiple traps, it could be helpful, but you'd probably need multiple turbines to power each one too, which would take a bit of set up time. I was playing with a couple friends, and two of us set down turrets and the third set down a turbine between them. The turbine broke almost instantly... seemed as if powering two things is too much strain on it.
  20. I posted something about this in the thread about the (not) "permanent" perks. I used the same two guns for about 30 rounds, and suddenly I got a sound saying I unlocked something and my primary was doing much more headshot damage. I was Samuel in that game. Another user tested and confirmed it. But then TrollDogDan chimed in saying the only unlockable abilities are the three that have been confirmed... and last I checked he had derailed the discussion. I've given up on posting anything I discover for now, because this forum is too obsessed chasing the tales of trolls and trying to decipher meaningless troll poems... while things of actual substance get overlooked. Hopefully someone will either finally complete the EE soon, or realize there's no more to it, and then things can get back to normal without the "NEW POEM!!" and "I THINK I'VE SOLVED IT!!" threads popping up every 5 minutes. If there is actually no more, though, it's hopeless... because the majority will never realize/admit it's over even if it is. What this forum really needs is an Easter Egg subforum.
  21. Sounds like a major stretch to me. Nothing about the streetlights' formation resembles a clock. It's not round, they're not spaced correctly... it looks nothing like a clock to me. Dunno how many times people are going to start a thread claiming to have found the "next step".
  22. Yeah, I guess my view of it is that Jimmy Z knows about the trolls... so if he wants to tell us something he'll be sure to let us know it's from a valid source so we're not chasing our tails. But hell... I guess every lead deserves looking into, at least.
  23. Just to be clear, I said I was glad that my knowledge of obscure sound programs was helpful. When I first heard the file, I knew it was most likely an image converted to a sound file. Which is why I said "This sound creates an image, as I suspected". But I do agree that the guy was taking a chance that nobody would know what to do with the file. Then again... there is a post on the Activision forums shortly before I decoded it saying "Has anyone tried running it through a spectrograph?"... so odds are someone would have sorted it out before too long. Also; for the record, it's "Megaton" like the "Megaton Hammer" from Ocarina of Time... which is the name of the band I sing for. Not "Megatron" like the Transformer. No worries, though... I get it often.
  24. I guess my question would be... how do you explain it, then? According to the previous (deleted) post, he was just another Zombies player. This much is pretty clear. He's posting "I heard this in the map.... might be nothing, but I heard it". Doesn't really sound like someone that has any knowledge of the programming behind the map. So what could it be? 1. He was just a regular user with some experience in ARG's, and used that background to troll the community. 2. A dev hijacked the account to drops us cryptic hints. 3. It was a dev from the start, and the first post was a hint of some sort. But then he deleted that post because it might make him look like he's not a developer with real information behind the EE... even though that's what he is. As far as I'm concerned, the simplest answer is the first one. Spectrographs are not common knowledge... but that doesn't mean a troll couldn't possibly know how to use it. Like I said, it was a good troll. It was someone that actually put some real effort into his troll and at least has some knowledge of how to translate binary, codes, and convert an image into a sound file. It's not your average 15 year old saying "Go to the train station cuz flopper is there. Also more navcard readers. lol look these idiots do whatever I say and I'm getting youtube subs!!!" But... Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is the accurate one. The simplest explanation is that this is a good troll.
  25. THIS is the kind of stuff we should pay attention to. If the devs want to help, they will definitely make it known that it is them helping us... they're not going to start random accounts on forums and dropping cryptic "hints" when they know how often the community gets trolled.
