  1. Yeah, I did the EE the other day- watched the gameplay, didn't notice any lighthouse changes although there was a host migration when we were like halfway through so who knows. Would be cool if it did happen though, i'm always up for trying it if anyone else is?
  2. Okay, theory time! So, perhaps the lighthouse represents the different stages of the EE? As in, when it is spinning normally it shows the cycle is still happening. As you begin to do more (get the 5 skulls, golden spork, travel to the bridge 3 times or whatever) the lighthouse stops rotating, implying the cycle is changing. Upon completion of the EE (as in maybe once all you need to do is go on the plane in afterlife) the lighthouse's light turns completely off, signifying that the cycle has been broken/complete finally.
  3. Their quest is done. They existed in the game to help Richtofen with what he needs doing. Now Richtofen has achieved his goals, it seems to me anyway that they are no longer important. Gersch isn't important anymore so they won't need to sort him out and with Samantha stuck on the Moon with the others I don't see her getting her body back and freeing her father any time soon. I know how loved they are by the community (and how they are so much better than pretty much all the new characters in BO2), I really don't think we'll be playing as them again at least, although i'm certain we'll inevitably hear from them again.
  4. I'm not being funny, but I think the Dempsey, Nikolai and Takeo were the ONLY ones to have super soldier experiments done to them, so of course they'll be the only one's to survive. And their story is over really, unless Treyarch find a way to put them back in. As much as I (and the community) love them, I don't think we'll be playing as them in BO2, although i'm somewhat confident we'll at least hear from them again.
  5. Very interesting, I like how you linked the fireworks to Richtofen and Maxis, it's like some kind of foreshadowing of their inevitable fight for power. Also, I don't believe that neither Maxis or Richtofen are 'good' characters- both have unclear intentions at this point, but it doesn't seem that either are good intentions. But, I digress. I like your link between the Weasel and the Devil, although I believe that the Weasel is actually the only 'good' one of the Mobsters. If you play on Solo and get to the GG Bridge, he'll question why they're going down again (as he remembers what happenes in the past like Annihilater already said) and after landing, asks why he's been given this fate as he isn't '"like the others" who are all murderers and psycho's. i think the Devil is making him remember everything before on purpose to prolong his torture, as he want's Arlington to know what happens and understand that he is dead but not give an explanation as to why only he can remember, so basically the Devil is torturing him in particular, perhaps because he knew that he could never deliver what he promised the others and wanted to make sure he suffered more for it but who knows. Also Annihilator, Lucifer is another name for the Devil.
  6. Looks better typed up, good job and a good find :)
  7. No, Deadshot auto-aims to the head when you go ADS, reduces idle sway in sniper rifles and effectively gives you 'steady aim' (improved hipfire accuracy). Essentially everything that's already been said here.
  8. Guys, Icarus is the name of the plane in Mob Of The Dead. I think this guy may have left some kind of clue for us to this map all those months ago.
  9. I didn't know about this so good job, and it's great you're keeping an archive of it for us- keep up the good work and keep updating! I would happy to help out sometime if you so desired some help.
  10. I'm not being funny or anything, but what did you expect? Coming on to THE zombies forum to say you think it's becoming shit, I really doubt you honestly thought we were all just going to agree with you, did you? Most of us on here (shockingly) love zombies and like the new direction it's going in as we get to experience a more puzzling zombies experience (especially in Mob Of The Dead). You doing this is like when a Battlefield fanboy would comment on a MW3 trailer saying "Battlefields better" from a couple of years back- it's like you were trying to start something.
  11. I'm sorry but I find this very hard to believe. This means you had fed the beast at each three locations, remember that just to reach each of the three locations in the fastest way it's going to cost you 4750 points, killed around 6-8 zombies at each location to feed the beast, plus then spending 2500 points on Juggernog bringing your total cost up to 7250 points on round 4, assuming of course that you didn't buy the B23R (another 900 points, 8150 total) or the Uzi (1500 points, 8750 total) and you were able to do all that by round 4. I find that difficult to believe. On topic however, I like the way these new maps are going. True, they may be over-complicating them slightly but they aren't going in an entirely bad direction, Treyarch just need to try and make them simpler.
  12. Hat eto break it to you guys, but I think he only says it because it's the song from the opening cutscene...
  13. Updated to include locations of the perks in Mob Of The Dead and (Grief) Cell Block.

    Brutus Quote

Perhaps, unlike the others, Al doesn't get Deja Vu. Maybe he remembers it all and is trying to make sure that this time, the plane does work and he doesn't get betrayed by the others. This would make sense, as we can see in the opening cinematic that all the characters are killed and we have to revive them in Afterlife mode upon spawning in, this could have happened before already. And if it has happened before, maybe Arlington can remember it all and knows about all the perks and PaP, and the other characters sense something odd about it as they can't remember. Although, contradicting myself here, near the end of the EE when the four return to the GG Bridge and Arlington becomes the target, it should be noted that the zombies will ignore him and he also gets a point meter on his own- his teamates points aren't below/near him. For me, I believe this means that Al is actually being helped by perhaps the Demonic announcer (as he keeps the zombies away from him) or the voices in his head are guiding him. But who knows?

    Brutus Quote

No. Why would we ever see Brutus again? He's a completely unimportant character and it's obvious that all he meant was that he'd be respawning within a couple of rounds... nothing more. He's not a completely unimportant character. He's vital for the EE as he reveals to the characters the numbers they need to enter plus shows them the truth of the story. Yes, in gameplay he can be annoying and is clearly there to make our lives hell but his character is important for the story.
  16. God forgot to add the perk locations for this map. I will add them tommorow when I have a free moment, thanks for the information Infest.
  17. Now updated to include Electric Cherry. I'll try and update the locations of PhD Flopper and Mule Kick in Cell Block Grief once I actually go on it, but it likely won't be until the weekend as I have a Spanish speaking exam on Friday and doubt i'll have time to do it before then but i'll try.
  18. I would reccomend the Steam Room ragawaga as it is quite easy to loop on Solo. But like i said, ensure you have the Hell's Retriever first- so much easier with it.
  19. I personally quite like the Steam Room on solo, as it's fairly easy to dodge zombies coming at you. Plus, if you have Hell's Retriever you can predict something coming and just charge it up ready when approaching a corner, and if there's nothing there you turn it around and use it on your horde- simple! I also hate the spiralling staircase down... You wouldn't believe the luck I get there. Speaking of luck, me and my brother were playing split-screen down at the docks and on wave 8 we were trapped there. We had gotten Hell's Retriever but had practically concentrated solely on that so didn't have Jug yet. To make matters worse, Brutus had spawned in. I didn't know that the Retriever kills him in one (as we found out later) and got myself trapped near the guard tower trap yet somehow (and this still shocks me), even though I had been hit by Brutus and lost most my health, I was able to avoid the zombies that had chased me and Brutus and still got to my brother in time to revive him (out of Afterlife's). EPIC! Anyway bit off topic sorry. I also am not a massive fan of the roof- I find it too easy to get caught up there, same with the cafeteria really but the cafeteria is a little easier in my opinion. Steam Room for me by the sounds of it!
  20. So, I have devised a new theory (of course) for Mob Of The Dead. I'm not sure if a similar theory has already been uploaded onto the forum and if so my apologies, but if not then this may be worth a read to some of you. As we all know, Richtofen asks us to "mend the rift". I believe this 'rift' may explain some of the odd things seen in this map, like the weapons and perk-a-cola's. Letme explain... The rift has placed these futurstic weapons and perks (as they weren't invented until 1940's) back in time at a location where something can control them (the original demonic announcer). This would explian why the weapons are available to the players and I believe also explains the distorted sounds that come from perk-a-cola's when purchased (as there jingles don't exist yet so the announcer gives them a new one). This rift also could explain Afterlife mode, as it could be responsible for enabling us to enter this never before seen mode, one that even the characters comment on being weird. So what do you guys think? Valid theory or not? Again, srry if anyone has already posted a similar theory, I just had the idea and wanted to get it out there ASAP.
  21. Although i've already checked and there's no sign of map packs yet (which there shouldn't be anyway), I just wanted to be the first to wish everyone on the forum a very happy Mob Of The Dead day. May your Easter Egg hunting be bountiful and your high waves plentiful.
  22. I have a similair story to you. My brother had purchased the WaW map packs to get the online maps, but found love in the zombies maps instead. He was telling me I simply had to play them but I was an online fanboy and therefore reluctant to try them. But, seeing as he was going away for a week on a school trip, I decided I may as well try it. Best decision I ever made. I instantly fell in love with the addicitve gameplay and the personalities of the characters, as it all created a gaming experience that I had never experienced before. My brother had to fight me off his PS3 to get a game in of everything as I was absolutely in love with zombies. I was on the border of buying the maps for WaW until I learnt of BO1 and the zombies mode was confirmed early on. I decided to wait it out and buy that instead, especially as I got the special edition and got the 4 WaW maps with it. I loved Kino, and thought that although it wasn't a massive advancement from Der Riese it was a very entertaining map, but Ascension stole the light for me. I'm not sure whether it was because the map was quite easy but fun, and the story really began to kick off here. It was also around this time I discovered this website and began checking it out for theories, as well as developing my own and becoming a more active member with the community and advancing my knowledge of the story further to the point where I can now recite my version of the story when asked. After Moon and the easter egg there, I became a very active membr of this forum, especially when BO2 was announced and the lead-up to zombies began again. The theories were being thrown about everywhere by me and others (one of my theories even got a mention in a Youtube video, my claim to fame). Alas, TranZit came and it knocked my faith in zombies a little. Though I loved the idea and it was pulled off well, it just didn't feel like zombies. Die Rise was announced, but the same feeling came out- it just wasn't zombies. Now however, looking at Mob Of The Dead, I feel like Treyarch have finally hit the nail on the head and got that zombies feeling again. The atmosphere, the characters, the gameplay- it all feels like we're back in BO1 zombies again, something i've missed so far. So that's my story really, and I am hoping they can pull it off and deliver the experience BO2 zombies is sorely missing thus far.
  23. Quite a good theory. It would make Sam and Richtofen ironically become similar to new character Billy Handsome in the sense that they do other people's work, except Sam and Richtofen both have the same leader. I too am quite interested in the fact that the zombies team didn't create this map as I didn't know, you got a review or announcement or something to back this up as i'd like to learn more about it.
  24. This also really interests me, i'm looking forward to seeing just what this weapon is like to use and if it's an effective weapon or not- perhaps its the other wonder weapon i've heard so much about?
  25. I have already discussed this on another thread. Please ensure you check before you post theory's. Feel free to check mine out (i've added the link at the bottom) and post any of your theory's there. Just trying to keep the number of post about the same thing down http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=30638
