  1. This strategy could be immensely useful. The only issue would, of course, be going down. But you could ideally plan it out so that you could have one person with the hacker and the other with Gersch Devices. This way, you could return to the other side at any time, but stay in a very safe set of areas (especially in co-op). The use of the PaP MPL and M14 with hacked ammo would be amazing and without the astronaut, I think that this could be an extremely plausible strategy. It would also open up the possibility of a two-player receiving bay strategy. I'd like to see this tested. I'll test it myself, but since I have no recording device, I can't prove it in any way.
  2. I'd say, go with your own advice there bud Believe me, once upon a time, I was one of the worst zombies players there was. I just stood there, shooting them and hoping they would die before I would, doesn't work so good. Then I saw YouTube videos of people kiting, looked fun. Struggled with it for ages, but after lots of practice, I just kept improving. I'm sure about 90% of your fave zombie slayers will tell you a very similar story. Keep at it and the improvement will come, practice makes perfect My story is exactly like 'Hands here. I'm not a legend at zombies, but I'd like to think that I was one of the innovators of NML around here, with 'hands and ChopperNator, of course. So, if you would just like to talk about some gameplay basics and grasping the kiting basics, I can definitely help you. I want to help. It's been a while since I wrote a strategy guide (or at least a full blown one), but I'm sure people can tell you, I'm a trustworthy source and maybe a source of inspiration? I don't know about that last one, though!
  3. I for one agree with you: there's got to be a game. At least after the saga is complete. My original thought was making a zombie game about their first WW. It's all in the front page. In conclusion, your idea is not great, but good. Where are you getting your information about the zombies first World War? You need to expound and make a complete and detailed thread about what is fact, what is fiction, and what is purely your imagination. It sounds interesting, don't get me wrong, but I need more information to sift through what is what in your posts.
  4. 8-) Speaking of which, I want to see your 333 kill game! Or is that one of the games you're referring to?
  5. Playdate in one week! And guess what?! I'll probably be able to participate! I'm feeling some Verruckt and Shangri-La. Let's do a challenge; why do you guys say? Way and I can be on different teams, we can record both games (that means I'd need Phxntxm or someone with a capture card on my team), and then we can roll out from there. Winners get 50 brains a piece?
  6. This thread is so useful. I think it's time to start on our ultimate NML survival guide! I feel like we've deciphered almost everything one would need to know to get a great high kill run.
  7. Hey man! Welcome to the site, here at CoDz, we have strategy, story, and teamwork pretty well covered. If you'd like to get tips on how to get better, we have two guides that are rather excellent in their coverage, in my opinion. Superhands' Solo Survival Guide- viewtopic.php?f=83&t=19165 Ehjookayted's Master Zombie Guide- viewtopic.php?f=83&t=18800 Enjoy your stay man, and you have any questions let me know! Oh, and have some brains to start off.
  8. Do you have details on the blast radius of the meteor? Also, the argument for New Guinea is quite strong, considering the Japanese invasion of it, as well as the casualties, the similar environment. However, I would like to see your contentions agains the New Guinea theory.
  9. This is barely relevant to the discussion of Shi No Numa's location anymore. Keep it under control, or I'm locking this thread. You all need to relate your conclusions back to the evidence. Don't get muddled in your assertions. This goes for everyone. Talk about Shi No Numa here, like BBD said. If you want to discuss history civilly, create a thread in the Member Lounge.
  10. Well, as for the Wave Gunner going down, it's not a problem at all. The guy with the Wave Gun should have the QEDs and the other guy should be equipped with Gersches. This way, there's no problems at all with getting back up. I think that this can be used to round 99, but hearing the other sides of the argument are good and will be considered of course.
  11. WARNING: This a professional, highly advanced strategy, that requires multiple training techniques as well as inordinate levels of focus. If you have the skill, or are curious, continue on. OwD2nK4kL6g Of course, the one and only RelaxingEnd could be responsible for this amazing strategy. With MatoM21 helping, he is able to showcase a very fast, dangerous, yet efficient strategy for high rounds. Notice a couple things here: [*:25c04k5n]One player must have QEDs, so he can get rid of the annoying and pesky Astronaut. [*:25c04k5n]The Easter Egg must be done. You need Stamin-Up to safely run the Tunnel 11 train, as well as Flopper and QR for downs. So, you ideally want all the perks. [*:25c04k5n]The other player must have Gersch Devices and/or hacker so that he may change the drops. I do realize that this takes a lot of work to get set-up, but I believe that starting at about round 30 or so, you can run this strategy with amazing speed, and if one speeds through the rounds, a 60 or 70 may not seem so far off. It's pretty crazy to attempt at first, yes. However, I think that if you practice the train and the required kiting techniques enough, they fuse into a solid routine that can be repeated consistently until whatever round you choose. As you can see, the two complete round 48 in about 3 minutes, a time that screams high rounds and skill. I think that the strategy can still be slightly tweaked, but overall, it's a great way to play the map, and I look forward to implementing this strategy in the future.
  12. I guess there are a couple things that would make this thread even better and more comprehensive. Let me quote something I wrote earlier, in discussing the value of a thread such as this: If you wanted to impart that knowledge and make kind of a "Guide to All Unique Tools on Moon" then I would gladly review the thread for the sticky. Getting a sticky means that your guide does help people to a great degree, so if you are truly committed to doing that, I hope you undertake my challenge of sorts. 8-)
  13. Alright, here's the deal. Richtofen, I went over the thread again, and Tom has really good points. Change some of it, make it more complete. I think that this thread is useful to many people. Tom, you can't really count on other people to find out this stuff for themselves. Sometimes, a guide like this can help. I agree, though, it needs to be complete. I jumped the gun on stickying this.
  14. I concur. I'm cleaning up the thread a bit, and I think it's almost ready. EDIT: Stickied. 8-)
  15. These'd be cool. I really like the idea of a city type map, but it would have to be dark and eerie. Couple things with your post though: please don't ask for brains, it's not accepted around here really. However, I do like you giving credit where credit is due, and that is something I really like seeing. Things like that get you brains, not asking for them. :)
  16. This could use some refining, without a doubt, but overall, I'm still proud of this guide. Not to brag or anything, but we have the best NML player in the world on this forum, not to mention some other great ones. viewtopic.php?f=85&t=17460 The link above is the NML Solo Survival Guide, hope you like it! Also, welcome to the forums. Stop by the intro section so we can greet you properly. :)
  17. I think a zombies game can be approached as three/four different games. You have the rounds from 1-20ish (or your 4th set of monkeys, dogs, etc), where I like to point build. Then, you have the rounds from 21-40, where you want to kill with speed but with something like an M72 Anarchy, Ray Gun, or even Mustang and Sally. Round 41 and up can be used to kill with a power weapon of sorts. Until round 60 that is, when you'll want to start a combination of traps, and basically go full force on the speed run to whatever round you want. Picking them off for points comes in handy during the first few rounds and I'd like to think that up until 25 or so, you need the points for preventive measures. If you go down, you need more than the essentials to get back in the rhythm of the game. Getting 50K points is doable in that time and that's what you need to predict the unpredictable circumstances that will undoubtedly befall even the most skilled player. Anticipating the bad will lead to a quick recovery and the speed sacrificed during that time is, in the long run, negligible at best.
  18. Please stay on topic, everyone. If you want to discuss practicality vs. gameplay purposes, make a new topic. It's an interesting discussion, just not for this thread.
  19. Unlimited sprint for Stamin-Up would never work. Think of all the gaps you could make it through, how quickly you could get to revive someone. It would remove the challenge out of reviving across the map and be the most overpowered perk, taking a lot out of the challenge. Essentially, the fact that you can't sprint all the time adds in an unpredictability factor, which, in turn, adds challenge to the game. You add unlimited sprint and there is no unpredictability of possibly being caught without sprint in the midst of a full spawn. The game becomes predictable, and as a result, too easy.
  20. Guys, try to post in the older threads. I'll merge this with the old ones, but anymore wonder weapon discussion threads will just be thrown out. There are plenty already.
  21. Matuzz, you didn't see my brief theory on the first page that had more evidence?
  22. Good video, man! I really love what you've done with After Effects; it's really cool stuff. You're doing a great job commentating so far.
  23. Welcome to the forums! Here at CoDz, we got strategy, story, and teamwork all covered. If you have any questions, send them my way! Enjoy your stay! 8-) Have some brains to start as well. [brains]
  24. Best NML player in the world? Yeah, I think so. No words can describe this level of skill. That's why we have a video. 8-)
