  1. Little did they know what would happen... I bought the game, finally, after some hard thinking about the challenge of zombies. What I found was that it wasn't my skill per say, but my mental state. I was approaching zombies as just another survival game, running around blindly, hoping to make something work, but you see, zombies isn't like that. It's about instincts within the game. It's about being a part of a world where you can manipulate the actions of the zombies, predict the unpredictable. That's when I learned to kite. That stage inspired me to get where I am today. Sometimes life is inexplicable, and that's fine, but when you can decipher even the smallest of its mysteries, you've accomplished something.
  2. This is great, man. Glad I could be of service. It's an interesting read, which I'll have to come back to, but after reading the Thundergun and Gersch sections, I'm thoroughly interested in your thoughts. It's cool to speculate about the mass destruction that would happen. For the most part, the way things look is correct. Love the writing as always. Great work, Ollie. Ehj~
  3. Chopper had written guides back in the day! Lots of them, actually. I'd say the videos are more of a newer addition, man. Just some old forum knowledge for you. And the brains system works in a way that you can only give brains to someone once out of 5 people. I am almost sure that is the way it works. Have you checked out the Complete Solo Survival Guide and the Master Zombies Guide? As well as Rissole's complete strategy guide listing? Chopper, excellent guide as always!
  4. Hey man, welcome to the site! Here on CoDz, we got strategy, story, and teamwork all covered. If you have any questions, just ask. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay and have some brains to start off.
  5. I am overruling the current challenge. This will be our task next playdate. Whoever can get farther wins.
  6. I'd like to think I'm much more rash in game, and use my instincts more in the game. Sometimes, your instincts aren't enough, and that's why I die most of the time. I'm much more calculated in real life; I temper my decisions and take more calculated risks. In the game, it's just do or die for me. I love the idea of this thread. Jay, keep up the great work. Your thread ideas are awesome and creative.
  7. Welcome back man. You were a great resource in calculating everything zombies. Good to see you back. Have some return brains. 8-)
  8. Does anyone want to play right now?! I know it's sudden, but hey spring break, right? At least for us high school kids. :)
  9. Nice work, way, it looks great. Shooter, mind doing that for the rest of them? It seems to look off on my computer as well. It may just be google chrome. Obviously, the second one is much better.
  10. There's a lot to digest in here, but overall, a really great find that could contain major clues as to new weapons, as well as help us figure out old stuff too! Great work.
  11. Once this is fully updated and I get a consensus from those who go for records, I'd be happy to throw this up as a sticky. Of course, this will require a lot more searching and digging, but it's a good start, shooter. :)
  12. Welcome to the site man! Glad to see you know, Tom. He's a good dude; props for being subbed to him. Anyway, here at at CoDz, we got strategy, story, and teamwork all down pretty well. If you have any questions just let me know. Enjoy your stay and have some brains to start off! 8-)
  13. These are the ones with proof correct? Well, our very own selectyeti got to 78 co-op on Shi No Numa, and would be upset if he was left off. The video should be on his channel; I think it's verrucktzombie0. Good work though.
  14. I made a thread about apotheosis the other day, and now you do this, Fatal. Consider this yours. 8-) You're amazing at Dead Ops, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're lucky to have a player of your caliber who also happens to be an expert in the least played map (yet one of the best). Great job and congratulations!
  15. Tom will be upset that this isn't in strategy. Quoting the wise words of ChopperNator I am.
  16. lJWpuEVwOzU Vzual Venom's a great player, a friend of our very own ChopperNator as well. I just wanted to show you this as proof of the best way to shoot zombies on No Man's Land. You want to shoot the zombies when they are crescent-shaped; make sure you see an opening in the center with the way they're grouped. This way, your bullets hit the very center of the group, doing the most damage to those clustered, but additionally, the splash damage is maximized. When you're shooting directly at the zombies, kind of like with a direct impact shot, you are losing valuable splash damage. Mustang and Sally do 1200 damage to one zombie, plus 1200 splash damage to zombies near the explosion. The outer zombies receive less damage, obviously. Thanks to Eagle's Orbit for the numbers as well as DuckCall00. The amount of zombies affected by the inner area of explosion is increased when they are shaped like a crescent. Picture the crescent like this: The black is the center of the inner explosion, so basically, you are hitting most of the zombies with the full blast of 1200 per shot, or 2400 if you'd prefer those numbers (since most of us shoot two shots at a time). Compare this to shooting a straight-ish line of zombies: That's absolutely horrible! You basically only hit a few zombies with the full force of the inner explosion, then on two other ends, you're just hitting the rest with the outer edge. You also miss the zombies at the tail end of the train. Essentially, you are just wasting kills each time you shoot a shot like in the second diagram. So, my advice is to watch the video, but also, practice running your tight circles, as when you are on the side of your circle, you'll catch your zombies like the first picture. However, all this needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Running around for another 2-3 seconds to get your train in a crescent shape is perfect and will usually net you more kills. If you're taking nearly 10 seconds just to get your train like the first diagram it isn't worth it. I hope this helps you guys!
  17. Agreed. But the point of this was to share when you had the confidence to say, "Hey I'm pretty good at this game." Not when you've mastered all the nuances! But I guess it's alright if you don't have any cool stories from when you first got the game... :P
  18. "I knew I was a good player when I got to 36 on COTD with JamesZombiKiller, with only 3 downs on a 1-bar connection." ~Ehjookayted Hopefully you guys can share some of your anecdotes. If you don't think you're good yet, then post what you'd like to be able to do that would give you that confidence to say, "I am a good zombies player." This isn't meant to be cocky or flaunt skills, just to throw modesty aside for once, and be honest. We have some great players on this site, and while humility is nice, sometimes we just ask for compliments via denial. Am I right? 8-) I'm just kidding. Let's share some stories and reminisce!
  19. I did not know that; thanks yeti! Great job on the 79. Do you think you'll try again, or are you done with high rounds on Moon?
  20. Apotheosis is the act of man becoming a god. Your title is either hypothesis or thesis.
  21. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! thge only guy he beat was me!   For now. :ugeek:
  22. I started playing No Man's Land today, for the first time in ages. This was the result: Your records are no longer safe.
  23. Still running late, been on an errands spree for the past 4 hours. Stopping to get something to eat now, then I'll see you guys in less than an hour hopefully.
  24. Guys, I'm running late. I'll be there shortly! Way, after the challenge, we gotta get in a game together. It's been a while.
