  1. I hope there's a new one... The more the better! I love the new perks they are coming out with. Even deadshot's decent, Phd Flopper is definitely the best one in terms of usefulness and uniqueness out of all the perks, minus jug of course.
  2. I'd rather be playing than watching a live stream, but, alas, I'm on ps3.... So it'll have to do! Ninja Edit
  3. "This video contains content from NBC Universal, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." Stupid America..... Definitely. Awesome movies with exception to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The first three each have their own flare and different style and hold up well against each other. I haven't watched them in a while, but I think I like them all equally. I would suggest watching them in order of course though, but I don't really think you need to. As for The Ruins, I saw it on Cable once and it was very interesting: and I rarely watch a movie I've never seen before on Cable due to all the commercials and waiting, but I was intrigued. It had a very good concept and plot, but the execution was mediocre. It could have been amazing, in my eyes, if they had done more with it. Too many unanswered questions, but maybe that's what made it so great. Thought provoking and makes you derive your own ideas to fill in the gaps..... Hmmmmm.... Kind of like the whole COD Zombies storyline!
  4. I think it will be similar to the thundergun in that it has a certain radius to be effective, but will most likely be a one hit kill forever. The question is how big is the radius though.
  5. Pretty impressive... [brains] for you
  6. I agree. Right when I saw the mine cart in the trailer I thought of the temple of doom. Shortround FTW!
  7. I bring you.... movies scenes! Ones that I feel were inspired for making this map.... Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom- Mine cart chase scene Pretty self explanatory, every time I see that scene I go right to this. pvmXmIHjQ2E only video I could find on youtube, I apologize for the music.... The Ruins-The temple kind of reminds me of the one where the PAP is... vzdto154_to I know they don't look exactly similar because of the statues at the bottom in Shangri-La, but it reminded me of this movie as well. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -note: I was extremely let down by this... but, with that being said, the building in the game kind of reminds me of the warehouse in the movie... Couldn't find a scene with it so the best I can give you is a trailer.... b3XGmQd1Je0 Raiders of the Lost Ark- Opening Scene The spikes in Shangri-La remind of the this scene, even though it's not exactly similar or anything like that.... http://videosift.com/video/Raiders-Of-T ... g-Sequence Also, there is a gold shield in the cave that kind of reminds me of the golden gongs in Shangri-la. Enjoy! If you haven't seen any of these movies, I urge you to see them. They're amazing. The ruins could have been so much better though, but it did catch my interest and I thought it was a decent movie. Same goes for the crystal skull. If you can think of any other movie scenes or videos in general that have influences to the map, please share! I thought I'd bump this for all those ps3 users who haven't gotten the map. A little over a week away! I'm pumped! For those who have played it, can you think of any other movie allusions that shangri-la has?
  8. I honestly think the napalm one will be.
  9. Don't take this the wrong way because I do agree with you to an extent, but remember we had all these guns in Kino and five before PhD Flopper was even invented, so, technically, it's not "REQUIRED"-- with that being said though, it makes things very, very, very, very, very, very, very, a lot, very, a lot, a lot, extremely, 100% more fun and easier to play with if you have it with these weapons. Did I mention it makes thing a lot more fun and easier?
  10. Firstly, I already found 2 spots to get a vantage point in order to use flopper, One is right where the pack a punch machine is. Perfect spot. Second is right after you take the sled in the mine shaft. I'm sure there are plenty of others. Secondly, you do realize PHD flopper has other uses other than dolphin diving to make an explosion. It can be used to not hurt yourself with explosive weapons. I rarely use it for diving anyways. It's key for Mustang and Sally and Scavenger and even ray gun. If anything it would make MORE sense to have it due to the tightness of the map so you won't kill yourself everytime you have a weapon with splash damage. It would be stupid not to have it. The End

    PERKS.

Why do people keep saying this? It doesn't look small at all. In the first trailer, Jimmy was saying it's a lot "tighter", doesn't mean it's smaller. Also, they gotta bring flopper back. It's my second favorite perk, right under jug.
  12. Not exactly because we really don't know if the weird markings only effect guns yet. Anyway i watched the trailer and it does seem like you can see a tiny bit of the PaP colors not much though. But i would love to upgrade monkeys! Yeah, because it would make more sense for them to not have the symbols if they were upgrade claymores. It's simple logic. If the claymores were upgradable, they would most likely have the symbols.
  13. I posted about that earlier in another thread.....
  14. Yeah the warehouse in Shangri-la reminded me a lot from the one in Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
  15. You go to the PAP, then equip claymore, then press square or x.... then profit?
  16. Possible, but unlikely. The cheeks on the bones are not as expanded as Paranthropus, and the locations f the two species are very far apart. I'm sticking with pure Yeti skull or one of Gigantopithecus. Although, it should be noted that all we have, in terms of Gigantopithecus fossils, are teeth. The skull's true shape is anyone's guess. Valid point.... the Paranthropus' zygomatic bone is massive compared to this one looking at the pictures. I must have overcompensated for it. It could be a simple Australopithecus afarensis skull, but what made me think it was a paranthropus was because of how much larger, bodywise, they were to the Australopithecus afarensis, the A. afarensis were much smaller, only like 4 ft. tall so I guess I had a preconception that the skull in the trailer would be fitting to a larger animal due to your gigantopithecus theory. It does look pretty similar to this although this skull shows a lot of cranial sutures which isn't shown in the trailer The only problem with your gigantopithecus theory is that this particular skull has a sagittal crest. The skull in the trailer doesn't have one, although it is just a concept skull. But what differentiates apes from humans is the presence of a sagittal crest in apes. And the gigantopithecus is more ape-like so it would be more fitting for it to have a sagittal crest. It has to be some old paleolithic biped, most likely not a derivative of the Homo species, because their zygomatic arches weren't as large and they had orthognathic(flat) faces. So that leaves only one option: the Australopithicines, but that imposes a problem due to them being indigenous in mostly Africa, so who knows. But then again, I may just be overthinking all of this and it could just be a simple baboon skull. Doesn't look to different from this. I just wanted to drop some knowledge about Anthropology on all of you guys. ;)
  17. At first, I was like meh, but the more I watch this video, the more epic it seems. I think this is on par with the Nacht and Verruckt trailers too, which were my favorite ones of the bunch.
  18. I think at 0:34, that's clearly a helicopter. And I think at 0:16, those are 2 airplanes.
  19. It's a valid point, but wouldn't it be more glossy and have the weird symbols on it like all the other weapons that are PAP'ed? But it does make the sound that a PAP'ed gun makes when you shoot it. So it could be. That means if we can upgrade claymores, we might be able to upgrade the following: Normal Grenades Monkeys Regular Knife Bowie Knife Matryshka dolls I think that's about it. And possibly Semtexs if they're on the map. What if we can upgrade perks, too? That would be awesome! That might be asking too much though.
  20. Oops. I didn't mean to bump this. I was just seeing what it would actually do ha. I am aware that we didn't get a map, so you can just let this die.
  21. Very nice find, it's definitely not a human skull. I just took an anthropology class "Paleolithic humans" and you can tell that it's not human due to the prognathic (projecting face), the huge inflamed zygomatic arch, and the projection on the supraorbital arches. Plus the skull is more elongated in the back, whereas a human has a more rounded skull. Nice find. It could be a Paranthropus bosei skull, which were descended from the Australopithecus afarensis, found in Hadar and the Afar region. All in all, a good find.
  22. Nice job with the upload and making it unlisted. MWAHAHAHAA no one will ever know! But anyways, more brains for you once I can spread them out again. That's two posts I owe you, good job. [brains] Also, is that Marc Summers talking?
