  1. Well...there's a reason why we don't call 'em rape trains anymore friendo. It became a bit derogatory, and we had to mind the younger slayers in the community. But now that you mention if, it kind of looks like those. I've always just paid mind to the lifeboat around it. Very creative on Treyarch's part. ;)
  2. I'm fairly certain you cannot start off on a clean slate. You'd have to complete the opposite side in order to reset which one was previously accomplished before. Unless you start a new account, of course.
  3. Hey friendo, welcome to the zombie community! You heard right - I may sound egotistical saying this, but CoDz is definitely the best place to be for all your zombies needs. Have fun posting your ideas, contributing to many theories and discussion, and being a part of this wonderful forum. I hope to see you often! :)
  4. Exactly what I was thinking - he "replaces" you. He fills a gap that is now empty because he is taking over. "Being your replacement you" sounds like he will become the player, and what object does just that in Die Rise? Who's Who. We barely got any information out of the trailer regarding Die Rise, and so many people wondered why. This could've been a tiny little hint to it.
  5. It's too clustered with his other quote, but more than likely, it was the headshot persistent upgrade. From what I can recollect, you can achieve the skill in three different ways. Some say that it's a multiplier, others say it's a headshot bonus to make killing easier. But either way, the quote isn't particularly new.
  6. Does this include crawlers? I don't mind if the lone zombie respawns, but I don't exactly prefer doing Side Quest steps with a zombie charging full speed at me when I'm on the elevators. Edit: Crawlers also live; however, they ought to stay relatively close to avoid death spawning or accidental elevator mishaps. Thank you for fixing that, Treyarch. :)
  7. 1) They should die near it; either via Trample Steam or shooting them. I'd pick shooting them with the sniper, to avoid any kind of collision with the balls (if it does deflect the path). 2) The Trample Steams can be in any random order; however, you must make sure that they are facing the the satellite tower to allows passage from one side to the other for the balls. I'm assuming that it was during the step you needed to place the Trample Steams? If so, that may be the case; I've had my buildable destroyed by zombies, grenades, bullets, misplaced over edges, all the works as Samuel and have only heard him once. You only need to replace the broken Trample Steam.
  8. This. And supposedly, doing Maxis causes Richtofen to sound weaker. I don't know if that statement is true, but it really wouldn't make logical sense to go back to a weakening overlord right after siding with a vengeful entity.
  9. Well, seems like our quest to discover the final steps has now been fully discovered. I have a feeling so many people will get stuck at the Mahjong tiles, but with how the author explained it, it shan't be too difficult. Great job everyone - I know you guys have been going back and forth across the possible steps so much, and without all these ideas, it wouldn't have been possible. :)
  10. Hey friendo, welcome to the community! Oh my, I'm sorry you had to lose your system. I understand how difficult it can be to get some free time while juggling work and life. I'm just glad that you have some time for good ol' zombies! Especially now that we've gotten Die Rise, there's a ton of juicy stuff heading our way. Enjoy you stay, post your ideas/theories, and keep on slaying - I hope to see you around often! :)
  11. Hey friendo, welcome to the forum officially! You've got to tell us what it's like in Brazil; I've always wanted to go there with my wife because...well, Brazilians are very good-looking guys and gals. But that's for another time, haha. Hope to keep seeing you around and I look forward to your posts! :)
  12. Not sure if this makes any difference, but I was playing with Flammen, and we had one guy who did not do the Tranzit Side Quest. I'm sure this isn't a prerequisite, but it seems to be the case. We followed the beginning steps all the way through until the elevators portion. We even made sure every teammate jumped on it at precisely the same instance. No reaction.
  13. It's not disappointing if you constantly use Who's Who to keep your perks constantly. Maxis will perhaps have them as permanent, or even some kind of Wonder Weapon.
  14. Make sure that you have turned on power and that one of your teammates has the SVU (or other Sniper from the Mystery Box). Then, you can begin the elevator symbols step.
  15. The sounds are supposedly a third party coming into contact with Samuel. You can actually hear the moans as early on as Round 1. It seems that you hear zombies more...well, in a more eerie effect.
  16. I thought you couldn't have Who's Who and Quick Revive while playing Solo? Either that, or I'm just seeing an elevator that never opens.
  17. Hey friendo, welcome to the community! 25 years of gaming...my my, that's a pretty long history (but it's not to say that you're old or anything - you just have a deeper history with gaming than most of us here). Have yourself a look around, as there is more to come with the new addition of Die Rise. Hope to see you around often. :)
  18. This is a great and very well-organized strategy guide friendo! I've alley stumbled in getting myself prepared for doomsday, but I've always ended up just buying Who's Who and pray that I will somehow get my hands on the AN-94. Keep up the great work! I hope to see more of these from you. :)
  19. Welcome to the community, friendo! You'll find some people to help you get through those Easter Eggs and get through the best of Zombies. Enjoy your stay, and I hope to see you often! :)
  20. Congrats you guys! I (and the rest of us reassuringly) are very proud of you guys! Now we move onto Maxis for the remainder of the Side Quest.
  21. PDW room: Very open area that allows one or two exits (disregarding elevators) in case of emergency and ammo will never be a problem. If you manage to have Who's Who and Quick Revive as your elevator perks, then you'll have unlimited fun. Sweatshop (directly below top of tower): If you have all the doors opened in that level, you can easily make several circles. There's an MP5 along the wall with the chance of obtaining the Pack-a-Punch machine and Juggernog/Double Tap II. There are several exits in this level if you begin to feel uncomfortable. Steam Tramp room: Tight spacing, but very effective training can still take place given that you know the various training techniques (you'll be doing lots of dragging). A B23R can be purchased on the wall, and the ever-so-popular Steam Tramp is a great defense tool for either the opening to the satellite tower, the space going into the adjacent room, or simply for the middle of the room to pop zombies easily. You'll also get the perk benefits of the PDW room, along with an escape path going down a level from the large opening on the side. Hotel Lobby (spawn): Believe it or not, the spawn is great for running quick circles. Timing is crucial if you decide to holdout in this room. There's an Olympia nearby with the PDW and SVU down below, and the entrance to the elevators are relatively close if you are controlling the train well-enough.
  22. Opposite colors - blue stands for Richtofen, whereas red/orange is for Maxis. For better clarification, you can use the pylon in Tranzit mode as an example. When you accomplish Maxis' side, it has reddish-orange sparks going up the tower. For Richtofen, it has a blueish spark charge. The dragon is a bit difficult to differentiate, considering that you have blue sparks all long the body and then the yellow-orange burst to display fire from the dragon. I believe the only thing that divides what side you've done in Die Rise is which dragon the sparks are mainly shown (near ramp/out of bounds).
  23. Just a few things from the update that some people may or may not have known: - power drop icons fade out rather than blinking rapidly - zombies will die out if left behind - power station glitch has been re-added; no more invisible barriers - updated red Insta-Kill skill - updated persistant Juggernog skill Quite a few players have not experiences some of these effects yet, possibly doe to the sudden hotfixes that have been coming in since the arrival of Die Rise. PS3 users shouldn't have any problems that are drastic yet.
  24. Not everyone. Or at least I didn't. I just don't understand how being the architect of their design has to do with the sparks of the dragon. I thought Richtofen wanted the crew to "mend the rift", and Maxis for something else. If the discovery team that completed the side could show us what exactly was constructed or even give a brief description of what's going on, that'd be helpful.
  25. Probably because other people would take the credit away. It happens all the time; someone (or some group) that is popular will be considered the "founder of the Easter Eggs/Side Quests while no one bothers to really think about the original founder. Nevertheless, it's making a hype right now for people to continue working on the Side Quest.
