  1. Before the events of Moon the U.S., Russian and German amd apparently the chinese governments were all aware of zombies. The germans were harvesting 115 first, but the U.S. quickly began its own recon and recovery of tech and 115 to begin its own advanced teleportation, weaponry, energy, and super solidar programs. This is hinted at in the map "Five" in BO when the Castro and kennedy are negotiating terms and suddenly a zombie outbreak happens. Notice none of them (in the intro scene) panic for one second. In fact they press a button and a wall of very big guns flips around and they arm themselves. We can come to the conclusion that yes, they were aware of the zombies and the possibility that an outbreak could occur at the facility and were prepared. Aside from that initial judgement we see advanced teleporters that are superior to the german's MTDs. I say advanced because they are able to be left on with no recharge time and zombies can travel through them too. Maxis destroyed the earth to try and limit the power that Richtofen might hold and wield against humanity. As we get more Maxis journal updates through the online screen, I honestly believe 100% that it will detail his own plans to stop Richtofen as he can clearly see that Richtofen is losing all loyalty to his superiors and his government and is becoming a mad scientist. The entire earth wasnt meant to be destroyed, but only damage key locations. i can't say what he was actually aiming for though. If we look at the destroyed earth map it seems to me that there are a few locations where the lava and cracks are bigger and worse and perhaps where they all hit.
  2. I have always believed the case to be the other way around. The NPD allows for a certain access to the Aether but not full access. By this I mean that the NPD utilizes whatever special aspects or unique qualities the Aether has to empower the being inside of the NPD. Technically only the beings consciousness is transported and I think it entirely possible that the Aether has its own natives of sorts that may or may not exist in any physical form.
  3. I don't think all this is happening within 2 years of moon. Maxis says he has been searching for decades for people in a quote. As I understood it, moon happened in the late 50s or mid 60s.
  4. I thin we all are in one way or another. Treyarch seems to be letting us down so far in terms of content. Every other map has been riddled with clues either visual or audio, but Green Run is lacking and Die Rise seems to have only a few. I hope they have big things planned like we all expected, and have yet to reveal the goods. What exactly were you worried about?
  5. yes, thank you PINNAZ, that is what I was reffering to. I know Richtofen is a bit off his rocker, but I believe there could be some relevance to the quote.
  6. I love it! I also feel the same way, We will see a unified adventure by the end of this game.
  7. I had the same theories that this device would be a product of Marlton's genius. As has been already mentioned OP, this is not Asylum material. You need to at least include what aspects you believe relate to this device regarding its backstory or creation and how it ties into the over all story arc. Asylum is not a place to just post things so certain people will respond to your thread. Moderators can't be watching the forums and moving threads all the time, so it is on US to be responsible and not clutter the forums. Maybe you didn't know. I am not tryin to talk shxt, it is just frustrating for us asylum dwellers.
  8. I like to picture a dark plane thick with gloomy fog. Whatever you wish to gaze upon in this realm will materialize in a form of "crystal ball-esque" cloud formed by the fog. This effect ranges from a small "window" in front of you, a 360 degree pariphrial view, or even full on immersion sort of like the x-men's "danger room". In this realm you cannot see an of your own body as you are not existing in physical form.
  9. OP I totally feel you, but Choppernator makes an excellent point. We are slaying zombies far past what was ever intended. Although I personally feel like this warrants a Victory screen or acheivement, I see why they didn't do it. The hardware just cannot support the game's full requirements at high levels. This is true for any of the BO maps as well. I am switching from BOII back to MW3 and BO, I think. I have not had fun in zombies or multi player i BOII in a long time and the game is only about 4 months old. I am certain that what they intended to release to us was not what we received. The game feels unfinished or unpolished.
  10. I would assume you will get all four in due time. N yeah I joined too for the story aspect, and I get my fix, you just gotta know where to look.
  11. The gamestop I baught my game at was selling copies that had nuketown 2025 included in it days after the game was already released. I was surprised because I thought that this was a pre-order reward or something for the people who bought the hardened edition. I didn't ask too many questions though ha. I was just grateful. N yes... they are some f - ing tricky b - ards. I remember on MW3 they made us pay for the "Elite" service to get the dlcs and the extra "content" for Elite App. The extra content was cancelled or just crappy and useless, then I find out that for BOII the service is free... that felt like a slap in the face. They are already getting ready to drop a modern warfare 4. Im gettin 3 back and jammin that tho!
  12. Agreed. The ranking system is there for online matches and random players to have a good idea of how your playing recently, and for the most part it works well. I don't care about my stats personally. I often enjoy doing a custom town survival and just starting at round 20 and pack - a - punching my pistol right away and then not retrieve it to see how long I can survive just training. Although I wish they would also have a level system to identify veterans and weed out the chaff a little bit.
  13. Hmm... never noticed any difference whenever I got it. But Richtofen does say something, I just can't remember the exact quote.
  14. No, he said communication is key. Meaning the online players need to communicate to do the EE. I think he was referring to the fact that only Stu can hear Richtofen.
  15. im confused...what is meant by "losing your shotguns"? I can't tell if you just mean, die and lose the gun, or if you guys are talking about something else.
  16. Anything is possible. Alternate reality seems probable. in Moon when we pick up the RED DROP Richtofen says a quote about how it did nothing and perhaps it has done something in an alternate dimmension.
  17. It's sort of ridiculous how ppl argue about the simple stuff. If Megaton found this out a month ago, then he found it and give him credit, why would you argue with him about what he showed or didnt show in the video. how hard is it to say, "Credit to Megaton for discovering." cheese-n-grapes people! Mods are having to remove offensive material, I can't believe it! not that big of a deal.
  18. The scientific method required any tested theory to be duplicated by his/her peers to be confirmed.
  19. I don't believe so. As far as I can tell it was probably part of the "Luna Programme" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_programme) which was essentially just their space program durring the space race of the late 50's. However I don't believe the consoles and equiptment is meant to be used in the fashion we use it in. Or at least is part of some secret configuration for the "Cassamir Mechanism" which I can only assume was only experomental. I believe the vacuum of space is required for the device to operate efficiently, which is why we create one to do the EE Quest on the Moon EE. So perhaps Richtofen is using his own configuration, I know he is associated with the Illuminati, or even Gersch himself. I am gonna be going back over previous Easter Eggs and see what Intel I can come up with. As of right now I haven't done anything. Maybe someone else can be more informative, I had Ascension but never actually did the EE in it.
  20. I was reading posts in the "Tranzit Discussion" boards just a moment ago and read a post by captinslog that really intrigued me. The post was regarding the clocks in the Ascension EE Quest and how they count down. The lack of video evidence caused me to seek out a youtube clip of the Ascension EE Quest. I watched the video (Will post link.)and noticed a few things that may yet be relevant to the BOII storyline. I am a bit rushed right now so I will boil this thread down to the core details and spare everyone my personal train of thought. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmZ4t-UOuXg In the Ascension EE Quest we are trying to free Gersch from the Aether via use of the "Cassamir Mechanism". During these events Gersch is talking to us via electronic devices similar to the way Maxis does now. Near the end of the EE Quest though we hear Richtofen say this quote: "FASCINATING, un dimmensional rift. Goodbye Gersch! It would have been good to know you" Directly after Gersch ascends to heaven, we hear a loud banshee like scream and our screen's color gets flat and the screen shakes. -I think its possible that Richtofen's quote regarding "Mending the rift" to Stuhlinger may refer to returning Gersch and Maxis to the Aether, mending the "Rift" that we caused in Ascension. This is just at cursory glances though, I have not fleshed this theory out at all, as I don't have time at the moment, but I would love to hear any input on the topic.
  21. very interesting! I am going to look for a video myself. Can anyone post a video here of what the OP was talking about? Could be important.
  22. @infestlithium - I really think u should post a thread about the timelines I really feel like that may be where we are heading. Plus it would address all the confusion that comes witha time travel theory.
  23. Each their own. Drops probably did start off as that, I'm just trying to cover the storyline implication.s if it's not yes, yes. And your doin great. I'll be checkin back to see what you guys come up with. Like I said, I tried tackling this on my own, and only got thrown down the rabbit hole so to speak. This is definitely one of the topics that is right on the line of story related and game mechanics. At this point though, how do we even know that it is for sure Richtofen that gives us drops? In the Tranzit EE Quest after we complete Maxis' side we are given a drop each round at the obelisk. This implies that Maxis has the ability to give us drops as well. Otherwise, why would Richtofen be rewarding us for disobeying him. Perhaps they are both in a position of power where they control zombies. This would explain why we are getting attacked no matter what we do, even if we are helping Richtofen. I am by no means against this theory, I just have found my efforts futile in figuring it all out.
  24. I have heard rumors about there being an ancient city under the ice there. This is through the conspiracy theory grapevine though, so I take it with a grain of salt. But the theory sopposedly says that the city is older than Atlantis and is the prime hub for their advanced civilization. This is sopposed to be the master race that Hitler was looking for, and sopposedly Nazi U-boats were looking for it or possibly found it and hid some of their treasures there along with the crafts that were mentioned by the OP. This is all just what I have heard and I cannot produce an ounce of evidence for it. (Haven't really tried yet.) BUT great read, and very interesting. I think you are definately on to something here.
  25. I have been discussing the topic of drops with a few respected members of this site and other than the arcade aspect of the game, I don't believe there is any significance. To say that these drops have any implications in the game is similar to implying that the HUD is also part of the story, or Richtofen created our HUD, it just doesn't make sense. There will always be a few aspects of games that don't have an explanation because it is a mechanic that doesn't really require one. If you recall in the old games we could all hear Samantha...when she wanted us to. I assume this is true for this game as well. I believe Stu hears Richtofen more often, simply because of the 115 radiation he ingested. This makes the connection to Richtofen stronger and makes Stu more susceptible to contact. Not a perfect theory, but it makes sense in my head.
