  1. Thanks. I tugged a Nuke around the other night and it still flashes after the normal time elapses. I have yet to find a use for this function yet, maybe it'll come in handy later. *shrugs
  2. Antjac was being sarcastic. I thought it was quite funny but obviously some didn't get the joke. Sarcasm doesn't come across well in text sometimes. On EJ's theories he could be absolutely right. Although a map maker,in an editing format could technically just put a camera wherever he wants to make a film then remove it before release so there wouldn't be any need to have one player missing to do the filming. (ie: how they made the original tranzit trailer game play. There were scenes with all four players right? I forget..) Im guessing your theory is insinuating that for a camera to be in the map it has to take the place of a player spawn which makes sense as the map has been locked down to get rid of no clipping etc.. Sorry just thinking out loud there.. DIE RISE!!
  3. Question: Alternate timelines aside for a minute. Do the multiplayer maps coincide or have any relation or relevance to zombies? For example.. By the existence of Nuketown 2025 in all its shiny glory would this insinuate that eventually the world would overcome the zombie apocalypse and rebuild? Bringing alternate timelines into the mix then it could just be on a timeline where the apocalypse never occurred. I'm going to take an educated guess that you guys are going to say they are irrelevant to each other. Which is acceptable. I would also like to make the statement that if we are dealing with alternate timelines/realities then ANYTHING Treyarch comes up with would be possible. I've heard all the blops quotes and agree with Tac, Pinnaz, and Rissole on the whole timeline piece. Not only because it just makes sense but also because they all do outstanding research and work and in my opinion are some of the most respectable, knowledgeable guys on this site when it comes to zombies. Die Rise!!! Hooo-rah!!
  4. Pretty funny but has to be one of the worst game trailers they have put out. Usually a game trailer has more than 10 seconds of game footage in it. I'm thinking there's more to come before release.
  5. I agree and disagree with this. First the dogs. I didn't find dog rounds anything special. Easy to manipulate them or hold down in a corner and kill them. In essence they would fall into that class of cool first time through but fairly annoying after that. Adding them into the normal round like Der riese, I like. Mixes it up a bit. Secondly I run hordes in the fog all the time. I don't even really notice the Denizens any more. The only thing that really annoys me about them is the repetitive screeching. Other than that, when you're mowing down a horde and one jumps at you it gets shot down with the rest of the zombies. In my opinion they aren't annoying, more useless than anything. You should get money for killing them, and the little hover thing they do is silly. They are also fairly glitchy. The above point lends to my opinion on the size of Tranzit. I agree that combining the main safe areas that people are comfortable with would add up to a decent size map but not as big as they claim. However, If you master running in the fog and get to the point where the creatures don't annoy you.. challenge yourself to run in an uncomfortable spot then you raise the bar for what is considered "fun" for yourself. I know people with full banks who still run the tunnel every game. Why? Take a risk.. partner up with a buddy (to be able to revive) and challenge yourself to run your hordes in areas one wouldn't normally run. I run in many different areas around the cornfields fog or not it doesn't matter. The fog leaving tunnel heading to diner is a fun place to run. It's huge and you have plenty of time to punch the denizens down while hording. Another fun place to run in the fog is leaving the bus depot heading towards town. Raise the bar, make it fun. I guess to sum up my point... after so many maps and how long we've been playing this game now, our skill level as a whole has been raised considerably. I don't think they could come up with something in design that would be so challenging that we couldn't break down, analyse, and dominate eventually. One more quick point is the DLC topic. I bought Blops2 knowing there would be add ons. I realize this makes this a pretty expensive game however, me personally its the only game I play. I'm cool with this. I feel that the vanilla game they have released has setup an outstanding base for everything to be built on moving forward. I hold out trust and hope that by the end of the last DLC I will be able to look back at the time spent, the fun I've had, and the challenges I overcame throughout it all and say "that was worth it." I could be wrong but these are my opinions.
  6. The war machine explodes on impact when pack a punched. No more bouncing grenades.
  7. I can't help but feel that there is supposed to be some sort of grief type scenario in Tranzit. Like 2 people with Richtofen, 2 with Maxis and the objective is to get your steps done while the other 2 are trying to get there's done at the same time. This involves turning the power on and off screwing each other up, EMPing each others stuff.. etc.. etc.. The message in the OP makes me think this even more as he's talking about the camp being divided and following separate paths at the same time. I don't have anything to really back up my theory but it's always been on my mind.
  8. I'm thinking fake as well. I just wanted to make a point to the comment about Treyarch already working on Die Rise before Green Run came out. Of course they have been working on it. They probably have the basics down for all of the maps to be included in Blops2. Especially if the EE/storyline ends up being as epic as they said it would be then they would have to commit to future map ideas long before mapping out the EE steps and storyline to tie it all together. I wouldn't doubt if all of the maps are already done just being tweaked as we go. I know everyones pissy about the Green Run EE but I have faith that Treyarch is going to deliver on the final over all product. Again this pic looks fake. The original art with Misty was a lot smaller and as far as I know an extended picture of the background behind her was never released. Besides the hack job looking pic of Misty is really bad.. like... reeeally bad.
  9. We all.... no?! Where.... be da!? Learn to spell... But lets get to the point... a rocket never hit nuketown, nuketown is located next to Sedan crater in Area 51 in U.S.A Sedan crater is know as the largest man made crater in the Northen America, possibly even the whole world. And no rocket hit nuketown it would be completely gone, just its small meteors hitting it. Also with green run, if a rocket hit it it would be completly gone... Its just small meteors slowly destroying the place. So you are completely wrong with that. And also i did not understand what are you trying to say at all Just tried to tell you that. What have you been smoking???? Have you even played Nuketown? (ultimate face palm). JK, but really? Anyway if you think about it, our current timeline (as of moon ee), would have completely froze humanity in its tracks. Green Run could take place in 2025 for all we know. Don't even try this Marlton stuff on me, he's in the bunker on Nuketown, so what? Time Travel is a key part of the storyline, and who says Marlton didn't travel back in time at a later date to collect something from the Bunker? The characters seem to have a decent idea of survival, so they could have been doing this for a while. Sorry if this is a bit long. Feel free to s**t on my theory but don't just forget it. I like the idea of involving time travel and Marlton coming back to the Nuketown bunker to get something. Before blops2 there was a lot of time travel going on, especially by Richtofen. He had been to every map before the other 3. A few of his quotes confirm this. This shows that Richtofen had control of when and where he teleported which for me proves that its possible our new 4 will learn how to do the same. Maybe in one of the next DLC's we will see Marlton needing to teleport back to the bunker.. you know what I mean?
  10. Interesting thought though. Killing zombies makes Richtofen stronger right? By not killing them it would mean you were leaning to Maxis side. I've also wondered if there was anything to be done by not building the turbine and just opening the door (essentially siding with Richtofen as you are going against Maxis' order to build it) But I've tried this and everything's the same as well. *shrugs
  11. Did you guys know that you can suck up powerups with the Jetgun? I've used this thing many times in different ways but I never noticed you could pull perks toward you with it. Wonder what else you could pull toward you with it besides a horde of zombies. lol This video is from Lonely mailbox and he pretty much sums up the effective way of using the gun plus you can see the sucking up of powerups at the end. Edit: Sorry forgot to link the video lol
  12. I have left them alive and went and ran around, nothing special. The story theory is that when the nukes went off it caused an emp blast that killed all of the electronics and stunned the zombies like an emp grenade would. As far as leaving them alive I didn't notice anything different around the map or have any quotes from maxis or richtofen. I'm not sure what to do with them.
  13. My bank is always maxed as well (250 grand on ps3). I take out 30 grand usually by the first rnd or two (depending if I'm in a good party or not) buy everything I need including claymores and pack a punched guns and I have the money back in there by round 13 or so. I almost had more fun when my bank wasn't full because it gave me something else to work towards while climbing through the rounds.
  14. Like Zombie-U on the new Wii. (I heard it sucks) but basically one person is on the Ipad looking controller and is placing different kind of zombies into the map while the other person is running around with the new xbox looking controller playing like we do in blops. It's a genius idea, would love to see something like that.
  15. I agree with not pulling the same gun out of the locker on Die Rise as you put in on Green Run but I bet you CAN access your points from Green Run. We'll have to wait and see.
  16. I still think you can get all 6 on Tranzit. I was over halfway to town when my tombstone disappeared and I was knifing denizens after they jumped on my head with the bowie. (this slowed me down big time) If I had the bowie and ballistic knife and knifed them before they hopped on my head as I ran I know I could get there in time. (also cutting through the front yard of the Bowie shack to cut that whole corner off) I'll work on it and if I get it I'll upload the video.
  17. Nothing frustrates me more than people who think that for a map to be in Tranzit mode it has to have a "gank ass bus" I guarantee Die Rise has a Tranzit mode. It will likely also be broken up into smaller survival, turned, and grief maps just like Green Run is with Depot, town and farm. Tranzit is a game mode like survival, grief, and turned are game modes. Green run is the map as a whole, just like Die Rise will be a map as a whole. Not sure why this is so hard to comprehend for some peeps. Sorry if that sounded rude.. some people don't like the bus driver being called "TEDD" or the Electric guy being called "Avagadro." I don't like when people call Tranzit a map when it's a game mode. With Green run being the only map out right now it's ok to call it Tranzit I guess but when the other DLC's are out that will change pretty quick as it will be obvious that there will end up being at least 4 "Tranzit" maps.
  18. Any time they say "co-op map" that means it is a Tranzit game mode. Co-op could apply to survival but thats not how they have historically used it in black ops 2.
  19. This has been known for some time. The tricky part is doing in in Tranzit mode. The only way to do it would be to buy all of the perks except jug and staminup. Tombstone out near jug. Have a teammate spawn you at tombstone, buy it and get to town, buy staminup, jug and grab your tombstone. You have to be spawned at power almost immediately after you tombstone out or your tombstone will disappear by the time you get back to town. It can be done but you have to be super quick.
  20. Zombies has always had a thing going on where lets say you have 1 zombie left in some part of the map and you are far away. If you walk near or up to a window you can hear the zombie wherever it may be. It was like this in blops1 and its still like that in blops2. When you are running in tunnel and go up to one of the open windows you can hear subtle sounds from other areas of the map. There is also a very distinct sound when you are running through tunnel and about to enter the fog to head to diner. No idea what it is but it seems to correlate with the bus' movements. I have heard the "train" sound that everyone has heard in town but I'm gonna back Megaton A up on this one as I feel it is simply nuance sounds in the map, subtle map sound coming from the nearby windows and/or the bus moving around the map. Just my opinion.
  21. I'd be willing to put money on the fact that the bank and gun storage locker/fridge will be in every DLC from here on out. Maybe not in the same design (Ie: could be a footlocker or an ATM machine, etc..) but the functionality will be there. I'll be playing tonight so I'll add any anomalies with the Navcard I find to this thread after.
  22. I'm going with this. And not just because he has the best avatar on these forums but because it just makes sense. 8-)
  23. Could you provide a video to show you are getting the beams on ps3? Because from 20 different threads on these forums and threads on Activision forums you seem to be the only one on ps3 who can see them..
