  1. I believe the other members were able to hear Richtofen. There was a guy heard in the TranZit radios that was part of a group that wanted to activate the Spire for Maxis, but at some point he started hearing Richtofen in his head and turned on the rest. "I'll do it for you.. for you and the flesh" were his last words.
  2. Excuse me, but what exactly is your theory? What you wrote is an argument with an explanation. A reason as to why ___ should/did/has/would or is going to happen(d).
  3. I think we should draw a line between important story-related questions that need answering and other non-important questions that don't have an impact on the story and let's face it; will never be answered. Poof. Gone. It's believed they were put in the cages you see near PAP. Apparantly one of them "escaped to breed" according to Marlton. The place where Russman worked, he worked there for a VERY long time since he mentions that during his days at BA Samuel was just a kid. Cannot be George. MotD happend in 1933. Fergusson retired. It doesn't. The collective souls of "those who came before" Because Treyarch is lazy. Precious Resources. Probably diamonds and Gold. Mining equipment and drilling machines. You can hear Maxis better because his way of electronic communication is more fractured underground. Most people believe Maxis did. Porter. Same guy who created the Mark 1. No it won't. Just some dodgy advertisement ala Activision's standards. Omnomnom. Probably the guy who owned the place. We did. Dead Rising-style haha. Macklemore. Josh Olin. Community Manager at the time. Military
  4. Very nice indeed. My thoughts so far: Like the zombies always running/eventually running faster than the players idea. Would kick things up quite a notch. However I could see the zombies becoming too powerful with your health suggestion in combo with their increased speed. Maybe buff all the guns? -Friendly fire. With ricochet rules of course. Time to watch those shots. -The box could move on it's own randomly from time to time. -Randomized perk locations. Bring back the red anti-power ups from Moon. You know the ones where if the zombie touches them you would lose points/ammunition/perks etc.
  5. Pay twice for old 'classic' waw/bo1 maps? Nah-uh. Unless they put some effort into it and graphically change it and/or add new gameplay elements to it (that doesn't include half assed weapon ports from the original game, looking at you trenchgun) that stuff should be free. Unless you fancy getting ripped off.
  6. Most people assume the voices are the zombies trying to communicate to Stuh. It's never explained though.
  7. He means that Buried's Comic Page differs from the 'preview' tease we saw in the Die Rise page. Remember the human-like tear in the page. If you would flip over the page the tear would still have to be there, just on the opposite side. But it's not. Also there are other (minor) inconsistencies. Go compare the two loading screens it'll become clear.
  8. 6.Who is the Pentagon thief? 7. How come the Crew's clothes are messed up/heavily torn off in Ascension, perfectly fine in Shangri-La and then messed up again in Moon? 8. What's up with pretty much everything in BO1's Loading Screens. Also for the Flesh/Samuel thing. I think Treyarch wanted to start yet another 'important' sideplot; with Samuel getting paranoid because the others would kill him if they found out about him and the Flesh. But guess what, the community didn't care - so in turn the N4 didn't care. Flesh never mentioned again. #Trollarch
  9. Verruckt. Brightness all the way down. Hell yes. Ascension nailed it's atmosphere aswell, although it was more mysterious than actually scary. MOTD's design is also pretty good, really immersed you in the whole map. Anyone else prefer it when the maps take place during the night?
  10. Samantha/Satan. Can't stand Richtofen as announcer, he's very funny, silly and after Russman he made me laugh the most. But... that's the complete opposite of what the 'Devil Announcer' is supposed to be. We're supposed to fear him right? The ultimate Evil in control of all the zombies. So in a way, when I can't take the Announcer (Richtofen) serious, I can't take the whole Zombie threat itself serious. Also, does Maxis actually become the announcer when he gains control? I've seen the zombies change eye color but haven't heard Maxis say the usual "max ammo/2x points" etc.
  11. Welcome back indeed. I'll never forget the thrill of getting Speed Corra on Verrückt. Other maps, Juggernog for sure. Deadshot and Who's Who for their amazing jingles.
  12. No need to apologize. Let me quote a wise-man "People who ask questions are idiots for 5 minutes, those who never ask remain idiots" Now then, 04 Stands for the 'Original Four': the 4 playable characters from CoD: WAW/BO1 (Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen). Also referred to as the old Crew. N4 stands for the New Four: Marlton, Samuel, Russman and Misty. Our new and current Crew. NTZ = Nuketown Zombies. GR = GreenRun (Tranzit) Anymore you wish to know about?
  13. Perhaps, I sided with Maxis (just because I can't stand Richtofen as 'devil' announcer) it's just like that thread so perfectly stated: Once Richtofen gains control, that's preeetty much it. The End. I mean, where could we go from that? Who are we going to fight and more importantly; for what purpose? With Maxis on the other hand the story continues. He wishes to bring back Samantha from who-knows-where and if he succeeds the planet and all it's people will be destroyed in the proces (this doesn't make sense). So if you look at it that way: it becomes kind of obvious we need to stop Maxis from enacting his evil plan. In Richtofen's ending, well... I just don't see a way forward.
  14. Hadn't considered this, very plausible I like it. I don't think they'll make 2 separate maps. However possibly the map's loading movie and/or EE's ending will be affected. So let's say the majority of the community sided with Maxis; the map would open up with the Crew facing the consequences of following Maxis' path. Same with Richtofen.
  15. I agree on the be their pawn thing. There was a good thread not so long ago, about how Maxis' endgame was the true and canon 'ending' to Buried; leading us to the next map. Whereas Richtofen's endgame was just an alternative non-canon ending to the story. Meaning if this were true, the final dlc would assume our Crew sided with Maxis. Story-wise. Hoping that the outcome of the final EE will end the game like MoTD, with possibly a big twist near the end that'll keep us busy speculating and theorizing till Treyarch's next game comes out.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTDaPHSSjD8 Check out this guy.
  17. Probably the writers trying to be funny. Takeo and Nikolai have also broken the 4th wall more times than I can count.
  18. Host migration issues are somewhat common and cannot be fixed, ever. Tell me how the MP engine restricts the content of the map. If your internet is "fine" but it lags on all grief, larger maps, nuketown and local; your internet isn't fine it SUCKS. Also it's worth noting a better engine doesn't fix lag per se, net-coding and better servers do that. Neither of which CoD has so again, it's your internet speed that's the problem son, don't pin that on the MP engine. Screen slows down is indeed the engine showing its age. To fix this we would need a brand new (next-gen) engine. Say what you will. If Zombies are to return in Treyarch's next installment. They will use the MP engine again whether you like it or not.
  19. Are persistent perks making the game easy? Yes. Are they making the game too easy? Debatable. Perma-Jugg in combo with the already weird new Zombie ai (you can get out of crazy tight spots that would've downed you in BO1 and completely destroyed you in WAW) can be seen as OP. The Perma-Tombstone is ridiculous, you go down you lose all your perks end of story. They should've made it so that only new players could get this upgrade, making the game more noob-friendly while not too easy for the more hardcore players.
  20. didnt realize itd be hard to readd them but hey it happened in BO1 Even though I would hate paying for the same maps twice, making any map from scratch is a LOT more time-consuming that "rebuilding" or porting any existing map from a previous game. The two main maps idea is quite nice, could be merged into one big map though where the players would have to choose a side in the beginning of the main Easter Egg.
  21. This is highly inaccurate. There is no new engine, they switched engines from SP to MP for Zombies. This change doesn't come at the expense of better wonder weapons, or restrictions on the amount of content in a map. "More lag" is the result of either your internet not being able to handle the game, or horrible hosts mixed with terrible net-code on Treyarch's side. That's all scripting you're talking about, now it does come at the expense of the amount of detail Treyarch can put in each map. SP Engine > MP Engine in terms of graphics, particles and FX amounts and overall detail. Also moving back to the original (SP) engine, but keeping more players and host migration is near impossible. Those are all MP features, so unless they re-write the SP engine to support that, not gonna happen.
  22. Agreed. Though I can see where Treyarch's going with this. Now Kevin probably has a lot more time to think about and write the song - possibly even completely changing the song as he sees fit - now he also doesn't have to worry anymore about making the song match the very short game over theme from the previous map. Basicly giving him more freedom.
  23. How are you liking the change in direction the Game Over Themes have taken? For those who haven't played WAW/BO1: Originally the themes gave us a little tease of the next easter egg song. Enter BO2 where the Game Over Themes are no longer forshadowing the future but merely short music pieces that resemble the map they takes place in. Also, since the release of MOTD, we no longer hear that classic demonic laugh in the themes. Like it better this way? Or do you prefer how things were in the past?
  24. Maxis. I love how he goes from "Excellent work my Friends-" to "NEIN you FOOLS! You must FOLLOW my instructions!" in a moment's notice.
