  1. Nice ideas. But wouldn't the EMP also disable your perks and such? I would love to see the Gersch Device returning, loved those.
  2. Because they A: only trigger during certain events (killing zombies/looking at them while they're walking towards you [basicly when they're helpless] and when doing the EE for Maxis) B: One of the [cut] soundfiles is Samuel responding to the groaning. "Ahh it spoke! One of them spoke!" is what he says. C: It wouldn't make sense if Stu was pleading and asking for help, let alone make such noises.
  3. Most of these are not directly answered and can be speculated and debated on. Mend the Rift - if I'm not mistaken - was a sideplot they introduced in Die Rise and, well, they never really did anything with it from that point on. Stu hears groans and moaning from what appear to be the Zombies trying to talk to him, they can be hear saying 'lies' 'help me' and 'kill me'. Russman was a former operative of Broken Arrow, he cannot remember much and as a result the Crew only know him as 'Russman'. What he did during his time at Broken Arrow is unknown, it is known that he knew Stu back then though.
  4. I really don't get all this 'the N4 are dead' talk. First of all, one argument many people use is that Richtofen tells them they're dead in the future so bam they won't come back. Well that's kind of true, IF and if only you do Richtofen's side which may not even be canon. The other argument is that well Maxis destroys the earth so there you go - they're dead either way. This also is not exactly true, he specifically says 'once the gateway is open' meaning that the gateway is currently still closed and whatever Maxis needs to do to open it will take a considerable amount of time. Time that the N4 can use to foil his plans. It's most likely that Zombies will return in Treyarch's next game. [Of course we'll have to see how Origins ties in with the story], but chances are the N4 story arc will continue in Treyarch's next game. With them of course trying to stop Maxis' plans from reaching fruition.
  5. They'll need a whole bigger team if they're gonna bring out a full-priced Zombies standalone game. Another thing that hasn't been discussed is profit margin. Why would Treyarch put 2 years of development time into a game that only a portion of the CoD community plays? Instead of making another CoD game altogether and including Zombies. Making CoD: Zombies seems like commercial suicide to me. It'll decrease CoD's sales (probably not by a lot but still) and CoD: Zombies will never sell as well as CoD so is the risk of losing money on both ends not far too high?
  6. I think Treyarch just put the wrong background image behind the Origins' description. If you look closely you can see that there are actually two seperate images, one with the Soldier and the other being the Alcatraz background image, if they were connected/this was done on purpose you would think they would put some effort into making the two blend together better.
  7. Buried had 700+ mb worth of audio, Alcatraz around 500. So that's around 1/3 of the map pack.
  8. 300-500 MB if I remember correctly.
  9. We definitely should. Just put a link to the thread in my signature.
  10. Probably won't happen but perhaps we'll see the return of the negative/Red Power-Ups. Those were really, really cool.
  11. "most of the locations are in the same area" Let's take a look at the maps/continents shall we, we have: 1 in Europe. 1 in Asia. 1 in Africa. 2 in the States. (3 if you count NZ) So that means every continent (with the exception of Australia and Antartica) has been covered with atleast 1 zombie map. I really don't see a reason to complain about this.
  12. This is not true. Yes the Earth in Zombies is probably the same one used in MP but reskinned. Other than that, the Zombies UI is completely written from scratch.
  13. Nice connections you made there Ballistic, I really like this idea. Two things to point out though, as stated in the official Press Release; Element 115 has already been unearthed by the Germans, and in Buried Richtofen says that he can enter any body he wants.
  14. Correction BS. TranZit/Die Rise have 23 weapons, Buried has 19. So the Mark II is definitely more 'harder' to get in TranZit/DR than in Buried. (probability theory wise)
  15. Let's not flame. I'd say it's the soldier's kit. Also that's an entrenching tool, not an antenna.
  16. I think they added the Earth to further expand the feel and scope of Zombies. Now it feels as if we're really fighting Zombies all around the globe. It also gives Zombies an extra dimension of, well, epicness.
  17. TranZit/Die Rise 23 versus Buried 19. (Limit weapons aka WW and ballastic knifes have been taken into account)
  18. The answer is a little more obscure than you might think. During Ascension, Dempsey reveals that he cannot recall any specific events from before Shi No Numa. So for Dempsey, he started killing Zombies 'since 1945' because he cannot remember killing them before that time.
  19. Simply put, your 360 (or ps3) has a certain amount of free memory that can be used by the game you play. Now we all know that memory - especially compared to PCs - is not a lot. When you play Zombies, the longer you play the more memory the game requires from your console (or PC). At one point the game reaches the console's memory limit, then when it requires even more - your game will crash/reset.
  20. You're mistaken. That was not an ending, more a cliffhanger. This. Zombies works the way it is. It is a bonus gamemode which gets renewed with new maps and features every 2 months on a one year basis. In its current form, putting it on a disc and selling it would be the most overpriced DLC ever. There's just not a whole lot there to justify the 60 dollar price, unless they give it to another development studio and remake the whole thing from scratch (doubt this will happen).
  21. They won't release more maps simply because DLC4 is their final downloadable content pack for Blops 2.
  22. Here you go. The Zombies Saga: The Rise and Fall of Edward Richtofen by Shooter. Fantastic work.
  23. Main reason I don't play on consoles. Was getting real tired of all that G-spawn/Memory allocate/script compile error BS. Not to mention the terrible framerate.
  24. Ah how stupid to forget: Burid has fewer weapons in the box than any other map. So the chance of getting X weapon in Buried is automatically highter than getting said weapon on any other map. So technically, saying that the Mark 2 is very common in Buried is false. The chance of getting the Mark 2 does differ per map. The chance of getting one is significantly higher on Buried. Problem solved. And to answer your original question: Since MoTD - like Buried - has fewer total weapons in the box, the chance of getting the Mark II is higher if not the same as Buried. Die Rise has the same amount of total weapons in the box as TranZit. So you could say getting the Mark II is more difficult.
