Indeed, I doubt this has anything to do with the actual event of dropping these bombs and more to do with where and how the bombs were developed. After all, he's hinting at the Manhattan Project. The MP made the bombs, it didn't drop them.

Jimmy Zielinski's Latest Tweet

I doubt it. Multiplayer maps may have some zombie easter eggs thrown in sometimes (teddy bears, etc) but they never actually connect to the zombies storyline. -
A theory on Richtofen's background..
TheDunbarian replied to xFierce_Fighterx's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I really always thought that Richtofen's name being on the books in Nuketown was just a little Easter Egg, like how Woods and Mason's names are on the mailboxes outside each house. However, it is very likely that Richtofen had some connection with the Manhattan Project. -
Found it. Thanks, Edward. Man, I wish we could talk about this stuff here. But until then, I'll just say that I found this part of the Manhattan Project page interesting even BEFORE I found what Edward told me about:

So, for those of you who haven't noticed yet (which, by now, is probably few) Jimmy Zielinski recently changed his bio on twitter from "Shangri-la" with a link to the Shangri-La Wikipedia page, to "unknown" with a link to the Manhattan Project Wikipedia page. Any monkey with a computer could guess that this has something to do with zombies. The question is, what? I know about the Manhattan Project, and I've been scanning through the page for anything of interest, but I can't figure out any details. Surely, though, the smartest community known to man can do it That being said, if your findings are related to the, umm, things we can't talk about here (you know what I mean), then just say so and I'll go back to trying to figure it out on my own.

As much as I love zombies, just trying to climb those rounds gets tedious. Not difficult, just boring. I love a good challenge. My friends and I have tried this challenge many times now, made some tweaks here and there, and now it's my favorite challenge to do: the Zombies Gun Game. It can be done on any map with any number of players. Here are the rules: For the first five rounds, use your pistol and wall weapons. When you reach round 5 (or whenever you get to the box - I know it takes longer on certain maps), each player will spin the box twice to get two weapons. These will be their only weapons for the next five rounds. After these five rounds, switch out your weapons again for two more random weapons. If you lose track, just switch out on every round divisible by 5 (5, 10, 15, 20, etc). Everything else is allowed - perks, knives, claymores, grenades, and Pack-a-Punch. What I love about this challenge is that it tests your versatility, and also gives you an opportunity to use weapons that you wouldn't normally use. Before I tried this challenge, I would always turn up my nose at the CZ75 Dual Wield. Now, it's one of my favorites. It's also partially a test of luck Fun anecdote: I was doing this challenge on CotD, and on round 25 it was time to switch weapons. I had Mule Kick, so I got three. L96A1, Dragunov, and China Lake. My three least favorite weapons in the game actually provided one of my most fun experiences. Other clarifying rules: - You can switch out weapons one round before you technically have to, if you leave a crawler at the end of the round. This way you can avoid dealing with zombies while you spin the box. - Death Machines are allowed. Personally, I choose not to get the Wunderwaffe from George (I just kill him for the perk), but I'll leave that up to you. - If you get a tactical grenade from the box while spinning, just take it and spin again. You are allowed to use these if you get them. - Mule Kick is allowed to get a third weapon from the box, however if you buy Mule Kick between weapon-switching rounds, you're not allowed to get a third weapon until it's time to switch. - If you die and spawn back in with a pistol, you're allowed to get two new weapons from the box until the rest of your team switches out their weapons. One last thing: my friends and I experimented with a rule that during Fire Sales, you may spin the box if you want, but you have to take whatever it gives you. We don't play with this rule anymore, but you may prefer to try it. Try it out, let me know what you think, and, if you can't resist, brag about some of your records with this challenge ;)

Did you have Mule Kick? If you did, and if the Ray Gun was in your third weapon slot, then you would have lost it.

New Melee weapons in zombies?
TheDunbarian replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
*coughlightsabercough* Anyways... I think the idea of being able to get a chainsaw out of the box is a pretty nice idea. Just a chainsaw though. Other than that (and of course the Bowie Knife and Ballistic Knife) I think we should just stick to guns. A chainsaw would be an interesting twist. I really wanna see less wonder weapons that are capable of taking out an entire train with one shot. A chainsaw would be high powered regardless of round, but wouldn't be able to take out entire trains with ease. And of course, would have a limited gas supply, refilled only by Max Ammos. -
Custom maps would be difficult to implement into Zombies. Multiplayer maybe, but not Zombies. Unless they release the mod tools for this one, but since they didn't for Black Ops ( ) this is unlikely. I think custom game modes would be fun - not to mention great for people who like to do challenges. For example, you could do a true No Jugg challenge, where you can't even get Jugg from the perk bottle powerup. Stuff like that

Doesn't necessarily have to be set two hundred years ago. Looks like there was some kind of van burning in that picture, which they didn't have in Avogadro's time. If this is a map location, I feel like it'll be taking place in more of a modern day setting, but Avogadro definitely has a part in this (for reasons we can't discuss here )

10 things that annoy me when playing with new players
TheDunbarian replied to way2g00d's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I was playing on "Five" the other night with two friends. Not complete noobs, but less experienced than I. One of them died at about round 20 or so. The other said, "OK. I'll spawn you in upstairs, next to the box." And I said, "OR we spawn him in next to the MP5k, so he'll be sure to get a good weapon for point gaining and then he can run right down the stairs and grab Jugg." Guess which idea they went for  -
The hidden song enigma
TheDunbarian replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I actually loved Avenged Sevenfold's contributions to the zombies music. I think they should do another song. I also think Disturbed would be a cool choice. But other than that, just keep Elena doing the songs. Not only is it exactly the right sound, but it's a zombies tradition. They strayed from that tradition in "Five" when they put in an Eminem song (which wasn't even recorded for the game, unlike Not Ready to Die) and I just thought it was awful. I mean, it's OK I guess, I'd just rather hear Elena. One more thing: if you want a more "scary" sounding song, go to Call of the Dead, leave a crawler, and just listen to the background. There's a background song playing quietly in every map. Kino and "Five" had Damned playing, etc. Call of the Dead's was mostly some wind blowing with a haunting piano thrown in every once in a while. Actually, here's a video: Music this creepy should be in the background of EVERY zombies map. -
The hidden song enigma
TheDunbarian replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Honestly, I think it's just cause they haven't done the song for the next map yet. It's really the most logical explanation. I know Der Riese had 115 play during Game Over, but that's because they had already started writing 115 because Kino was originally intended to be in WaW. The devs knew that Moon would be the last Black Ops map, so the new song wasn't written yet. I think it would be cool if they added a patch to Black Ops where it does play a song at the end of Moon. Give us something to freak out about ;) -
I did a post on this idea, a long time ago. Check it out here if you want: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=19423 We seem to have different ideas on every pro variant except Speed Cola, and partially Staminup. Your ideas are different, and I like Quick Revive's to be honest. I won't lie though, your variants for Juggernog, PhD Flopper, and Staminup are OP. I got similar reviews for mine. Juggernog is already an extremely powerful perk, you don't want to give it too much of a boost, because people will always buy Juggernog regardless of whether or not it has a good pro variant. Maybe Staminup can give extended running time, but not unlimited...

Exactly, that's what they meant by "world". I can see how it would be misleading, but they wouldn't destroy the core in that way
-
Game designers actually like to refer to levels as the "game world". They'll often use it because it makes their levels sound more immersive, like they're actually able to take you to another world.
-
Open world would make absolutely no sense. It would be one of those things that would break the core of zombies, something that the dev team would never allow to happen.
-
That could be true, the secret achievements could be for another map. I do have another complaint actually. I don't like the name BIG MASSIVE SPOILER for a zombie map to be completely honest. It sounds more like the name of a multiplayer map really. Zombie maps have always had the coolest names, and BIG MASSIVE SPOILER just doesn't seem to fit.

What kinds of maps do you prefer?
TheDunbarian replied to Tankeo Dempsaki's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Map difficulty really can't be judged by how far you've made it on that map. My personal record is 69 solo on Ascension (suicide, of course ) but my second best record is 53 solo on Shangri-La. Does that make Shangri-La the second easiest map? Of course not. -
I looked at the achievement list, and the achievements themselves didn't worry me, except for the fact that it only hinted at one zombie map. I mean, have we waited over a year, gotten all this hype about how they're bringing zombies to the next level, only for one friggin map? I say the achievements are fake, but only because I refuse to accept that they'd give us less than we expect.

Original Maps Returning?
TheDunbarian replied to SEAtacticsFTW's topic in General Zombies Discussion
That's exactly why I want them back. If they just brought them back for the 4 player survival mode, then what would the point be? I could just play them on Black Ops. They'd bring them back for the same reason they brought back Terminal in MW3: new experiences on an old map. -
What W@W and Blops guns will return?
TheDunbarian replied to SEAtacticsFTW's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Same. That being said, Treyarch has confirmed that this time, they're giving the Zombie devs the ability to do whatever they want. In Black Ops, they had to go to the Cold War era because the rest of the studio FORCED them to. Now, Treyarch finally gets that it needs to just let the Zombies guys do what they want cause they know what they're doing. So, who knows what guns will return? Guess we're gonna have to hold out for the Zombies reveal to know that one. -
What kinds of maps do you prefer?
TheDunbarian replied to Tankeo Dempsaki's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think the only reason people bash on CotD sometimes is because of George. And they don't like "Five" or Shangri-La either, because it's tight and difficult. Add this to people wanting PaP in the classic maps cause they're "too hard" and people wanting perks on NDU, I would have to say the popular opinions on maps are based entirely on weenies who don't want a challenge. I thought George was great, Shangri-La is one of my favorite maps, and I don't want them touching the classic maps at all - I was even a little upset to see that they added Mule Kick. Treyarch should keep making maps the way they do. Please don't make another Ascension. Maps like that just bore me. -
I saw a countdown on Charlie Intel for the reveal. It's counting down to 2 p.m. EST. Not sure how accurate it is, but it's better than having no idea ;)
