  1. Were we always not able to put Mustang and Sally in the fridge? I could've sworn it was possible on TranZit, but when I attempted it on Die Rise to prepare for Buried I was unable to put them in.
  2. I am 100% for making Paralyzer/Petrifier kills not produce Vulture drops, or at least not producing green gas. Unless the zombies took damage from a non-paralyzer weapon. That way the gun is still useful if you still want to camp with others, but in all honesty there logically shouldn't be a super effective single player camping strat without traps. One of the few things that makes camping seem logically plausible is being able to alternate reloads so that you each can take time to do so, while consistantly firing at the oncoming horde. So I reiterate, I am 100% for making Paralyzer/Petrifier kills not produce Vulture drops, or at least not producing green gas. Unless the zombies took damage from a non-paralyzer weapon.
  3. C'mon, dont give up. If anything you made the case well enough for myself. Besides, technically I'm retired. I can't do that any more. We wouldn't want all the retirees running around with secret powers. I simply want to provide structure so that passerbys don't have to wade through pages of the same arguments being made and rejected. You two should just give clear lists, like I said, and let the readers decide for themselves.
  4. You actually shouldnt be able to get the "end game" unless all your EEs match sides I believe.
  5. @ TheRealMistyBriarton Please state in a clear list format all the reasons why this is an American Old West Town. Please then state all the reasons this could not be an old Austrailian town. @ The Vyhl Please respond with a clear list for all the possible reasons this could be an Austrailian town. Please then state all the reasons this could not be an American Old West town. @ Both Please refrain from back and forth arguing, over-wording your arguments to make them seem more significant, using circular logic, or posting your arguments without either the ability to cite a source, or use basic (nothing much more complex than 2+2) logic for justification. Please keep your responses to my request as short and complete as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.
  6. I'm not questioning your skepticism, I am myself, but I know that there has to be a few things that havent been explained yet, which would be the connection between our zombies storyline and MotD and it's entity, along with why Malukah returned as the singer, and who's perspective she was relaying in MotD and Buried. what i am questioning however is, what exactly do you mean? I havent proposed any new entities. The MotD entity is clearly not any of the three we have/had. We know Samantha, Richtofen, and Maxis exist and are/were in the aether. So that's four. Where exactly can doubt be placed on the existence of any of these four?
  7. Greetings CoDzers! Been awhile, hasn't it? Well, I've been around, watching as always, however for the first time since I've been on this site I think I actually have something valuable to say. There is reason to believe that Samantha Maxis is back in the aether, and is going to make a huge appearance in our finale EE. I hope you enjoy the read, and please be gentle! I first need to make a case for a few premises that must be accepted for the theory to work. I believe our Mob of the Dead Entity, is/was present in the BO1 storyline through a connection to Samantha Maxis. In Mob of the Dead, we have a controller that is neither Samantha, or Richtofen, and quite frankly the MotD Entity outshines them in almost every manner. He manipulates space and time with ease, creates barricades of flames at will, gives the prisoners temporary aethereal bodies, all for the sake of torture and to get them to do the even differently so that Weasel will survive. Compared to the few powers Richtofen has displayed, and the almost nothing Samantha seemed to be capable of, it was quite impressive. This entity was definitely powerful, but for some unknown reason, it lost it's power and was severely weakened. I say this because there is hints at a secondary entity being present in the Black Ops Zombies Story. Richtofen hears voices after touching the MPD, a gateway to the Aether, Samantha references hearing voices, seeing things, etc, in several of the songs in BO. Even more definitively, she states during the Moon EE, "Something far more terrible than you lies here, Edward!" which combined with her overall dark and violent personality suggests to me, that there a bit more than just a distressed and angry little girl at play here. So I believe that the entity linked to Samantha Maxis when she entered the MPD. Through her it was able to gain strength, and to manipulate her more and more. This is reflected in the increased references to hearing voices, and trying to hide and undo what was happening as the songs progress, just compare the lyrics in Kino, to those in Pareidolia. It is a remarkable difference. In fact, I think it is even possible that "Coming Home" was more to reflect the Entity's excitement towards regaining it's lost power, because why would Samantha know and welcome losing her power and being made corporeal again, when she hasn't finished her goal? However, this bit isn't very important, just food for thought. I believe that this entity was then crippled by the soul swapping process Richtofen enacted, as Richtofen hasn't seemed to become any darker than usual. He plays games with the zombies and survivors. Samantha tortured, hunted, and killed them. I believe that Samantha died on Moon, possibly along with the O4, but because her body was in the aether, and she was connected to this entity within the aether, her soul was able to reenter, and of course the entity began to slowly regain strength once more. Mob of the Dead, was I believe a flashback which Samantha passively witnessed while weakened from dying and having her soul and body split, and all the other rough activities she had been through. Now a quick bit about why the singer is important. In Black Ops and World at War, Elena's songs always represented Sam's point of view. They usually reflected her thoughts, her feelings, and her plans. The only times it wasn't Elena, was when it was an alternate perspective, and generally when the O4 were not playable in the map. In BO2, our singer for TranZit, and Die Rise was Clark S Nova, so he seemed to be our N4 Singer. His viewpoint in TranZit seemed to reflect that of a zombie, so by extension, Richtofen. His viewpoint in Die Rise seemed to reflect Maxis. So in general he reflected the two "Overlords" and their thoughts. In Mob of the Dead, Malukah was the singer, but exactly who she was representing wasn't fully known. However a different singer was expected, as the N4 were not playable in this map. In Buried, a major curveball was thrown, when Malukah returned as the singer, rather than Nova. To me this represents a connection. A connection I believe to be Samantha Maxis. In "Where are we going" the song asks just that, multiple times. This suggests a sort of confusion. Combined with the overall dreamlike slow feel of the song, I think it fits well with the idea of Samantha passively witnessing a flashback of the Entity's power back when it wasn't weakened or crippled. It uses lines such as "I feel I'm falling" and "I hear the calling" and "I'm letting go of all I know" which suggest to me that she is falling back into the darkness again, back into the grasp of the entity which she was briefly separated from in Moon. Now in Buried, the song "Always Running" fits with the premise of Malukah representing Samantha Maxis nicely. The overall tone of the song is very similar to most of the Black Ops and World at War songs. In it lines such as "I'm always running from what I am becoming" sounds just like our good old Samantha, trying to escape the darkness with no success. It also drops in several direct quotes, all from songs written from Samantha's perspective. She mentions how she is turning into something unstoppable, something that others run from. How she is numb to the violence and pain, and how she always has been, and always ends up this way. To me this song screams Samantha. I believe that it represents a culmination of years of the Entity combined with Samantha regaining it's strength, and finally now being ready to enact it's plan. Through this thought I am certain that Samantha will play a massive part in the finale DLC. What part? Well I see it as one of two possibilities. Either the Entity will have almost total control over the duo, and he will enact his plan which either could wrap up with annihilation, or leave us with another cliff hanger for the next Treyarch Zombies installment. I could also see this similar situation happening if the Entity was still majorly crippled from the separation in Moon, and if Samantha was the true power, and the Mob of the Dead episode was more than just a flash back, and actually an active effort by Samantha to change history by protecting Weasel. She could be motivated for revenge, or just so upset that she wants to kill everything. Either way, it could end with complete death, or a cliff hanger. But. The second possibility I see, involves Samantha taking over the duo (Her and the Entity) and feeling remorse for everything that has happened, leads the N4 through the means to remove whichever "Overlord" you chose from power, and then steps to help her reset things back to the way they were before she, Richtofen, and Maxis created this whole mess. Thus wrapping up our Call of Duty Zombies Saga in a nice little bow. Is either likely? Who knows. I have no clue what will happen, but it will be fascinating. Thanks for reading. Leave your comments below. As always, Happy Slaying!
  8. there was a ton of direct quotes and paraphrases from previous songs. I caught Beauty of annihilation, Where are we going, coming home, and I swear there was another but it's slipping my mind right now.
  9. Assuming this is true, which I do, I'm an extreme mix of happy and sad. Without having to worry about buying it, Perma PHD will make surviving so much easier. Combined with perma-jug, all you need is Mustang and Sally and you can pretty much survive until you run out of ammo. Unless of course there is some ridiculously easy way to lose it that requires a lot of effort to avoid... however I feel like I'd just rather have normal PHD back in all the maps, than have to jump through hoops to keep this one.
  10. Available in US Central Time Zone
  11. for those who cannot play their DLC offline, it is because you probably had a different xbox in which you intially downloaded the season pass/dlc. You need to do a license transfer. when you purchase a digital addon or game, the right to play the game is saved to the first console it is downloaded on, regardless of account or sign in status; the rights are also saved to the account that downloaded it, regardless of console, AS LONG AS you are connected to Xbox Live. If you've downloaded your DLC whilst at a friends house, or on an old xbox that you replaced, the console license is still saved to that xbox. You should google search XBL License Transfer, and go through the process. I do not know if that will let you get the Raygun MK II, but it should let you play all of your DLC while offline.
  12. First off, Tom, you are awesome. I've always had this problem with the new maps and with games in general. Do you look up in the info to know what to look for, or is it more fun to make every discovery yourself? I generally intend to not look up stuff during the first week, but I always break down and do it a few days into the new map. For me it is just as fun to"discover" these things with "assistance" because things like the Hell's Redeemer, Golden Spork, or maybe even the Hell's Retriever, I wouldnt have figured out purely on my own in MotD. Let alone things meant to be hidden like the EEs. However you're much more skilled than I, so perhaps you'd have better luck on your own.
  13. Firesales longer? But no map with persistent upgrades has firesale... I doubt that this one perma perk breaks that rule of only working with maps that have the N4. But it should still be tested. I can confirm the bear does not vanish along with the box automatically. I just witnessed it transfer, and I can put up a video in a minute. I also will show that the bear will even transfer between games. Still no clue on how EXACTLY to get it, or what it does. But I've confirmed that it doesnt just go away when the box does. EDIT: Believe it or not, I'm actually having trouble getting rid of the bear. I dont know why he's staying but I need him to leave. Takes guns (tested up to 4 in a row) doesnt do it. Box moving doesnt do it, at least not always,. Not taking guns doesnt do it (tested up to 3 in a row). Leaving the area of the box doesnt (didnt think it would...). I'm confuzzled. EDIT AGAIN: Here's the video showing the bear can transfer box locations, and that the box moving is not what causes you to lose it. 4rA3lPQwGnw
  14. PTG posted a video about this a little bit after I did calling it the toy box perma perk. Their guesses are as good as mine. At this point, but I do plan to give a shot towards removing some of the vagueness from how to get it, what it does, and how to lose it later tonight. Tom, I didnt even know you were alive. It's good to see you. to answer your question, no I didnt notice a pattern in receiving the upgrade, I got it on my 1st spin twice, third spin once, 5th spin once, and sometimes I didnt get it. It creates a teddy bear that hovers over the box, however this bear isnt upside down in the initial box spawn on Die Rise, so it is easy to miss. How long the bear lasts, I dont know. I know PTG is wrong though. They say it is only at that box until the box moves, but I've had it both disappear before the box moves, and I've had it transfer to the new box location waiting patiently for me. It wasnt cheaper, the guns seamed the same. ONE of the four times I managed to spin the box while the teddy bear was above it, it gave me absolutely nothing but handguns until the bear vanished. When it vanishes it does make the normal indicator sound. The other times I didnt get to use it in full as the box was in poor places, and I've been up all night so I'm worse than usual. which isnt pretty good to begin with. It doesnt seem to stick around longer, but I'll have to keep a tally of that when I do more testing later. Hope this helps someone. and again PTG does have a video up showing some basic footage of the bear and their details on the perk. The details arent really specific, and the effect is based on an assumption in my opinion, but, it is the best thing out there right now, so it is probably worth a look if youre curious.
  15. Hey codz, I dont think I've ever had the pleasure to post something like this before. I noticed while playing die rise, this new green flash that I had never seen before. As far as I can tell it is triggered via the mysterybox somehow. Anyhow, here's a video shot from my crappy cell phone! also do take notice of the quote Misty says. something about "should I stay and listen, or just keep figting?" instead of the usual "This could be useful" that persistent upgrades seem cause. I managed to get this once before (about 20 mins earlier) with Russman and he said something along the lines of "now I'm hearing voices like Stu." rdjYpkZgqeo and here's the link directly to it. and here's the link to the place I'll be updating info on this, alongside here, for those interested.
  16. Stats from custom games save, however round reached does not. Round reached only saves from online/public matches. The only way to set up a "private match" with less than 4 players is to have you and your buddy use guest accounts, on secondary controllers, have all four of you (Yourgamertag, Yourgamertag1 (guest), BuddiesGamertag, Buddiesgamertag1 (guest)) all ready up at once, then when the count down begins, sign out both guest accounts on your separate systems (kill yourgamertag1 and buddiesgamertag1 by hitting the xbox button, and pressing x, if you're PS3 or PC then I don't know the procedure for signing out guests.) Or You can find two people who are willing to back out of the lobby when the countdown begins after the four of you have readied up. It is a terribly stupid system, and if you are too late with backing out it could cause host disconnects, or the players would actually leave in game, instead of right before, which would cancel round recording. If they leave/back out too early then new players could join before the game starts, which defeats the purpose of attempting to trick the match into starting in the first place. I sincerely hope they either add a private match option, or someway of limiting lobby search size for public (sometimes I just want a 2 player match, why can't I search for a lone partner?). Good luck and happy slaying.
  17. Congrats guys! I'm glad you got positions! Especially you Jolteon, it's been a long time coming. Not that you aren't awesome Grill, but I mean Jolteon has been here for like 3 years or more! :P
  18. Niice! I'll help out with some of the organization of the xbox stuff if you need it Way. Wow, I remember 115 day. Before I was even staff, I completely forgot that I arranged that playdate... I guess I did do some things on this site back then... It was a fun day. I know I had several enjoyable games. I support the revival.
  19. We add the medal, you have no code to mess with. You just have to apply for the medal, and supply proof when necessary.
  20. George Romero did have resistance and bonus damage multipliers. Likewise the infinite damage Wunder Waffe did not kill him in one hit. Get off your high horse MMX, you could be wrong here.
  21. Nice! I'll have to give this a try later. Great props for typing it out and for linking to the other threads!
  22. Hello my fellow zombie slayers! Whilst I was walking, rather briskly, down by the docks this past day with a horde of undead following my every move I began to ponder the true usefulness of our new perk Electric Cherry. You see, if the electrical blast does not kill your flesh loving friends, it usually stuns them in place for a few seconds, and when you're trying to run trains in very tight spaces, and tiny little loops this delay in the horde's motion can cause serious problems. I'd like to know what all of your thoughts are on our new perk? Is it a godsend, or an accident waiting to happen? I for one am leaning towards the latter, although for some reason I just can't bring myself to stop buying it. I like to run small tight trains, and unfortunately if I don't time my reloads well, it screws that up terribly. Plus I keep accidentally shocking crawlers to death when I play with my buddies, so yeah. Not as great as I thought it was. Still looks really cool though. Your thoughts?
  23. Thank you for writing this! Being the best (and only) written guide on how to do this, I think I'll go ahead and sticky this so it doesn't get lost. ;)
  24. With the Perks and the Nikolai quote, All the perks and the Pack-A-Punch have weird fazing seizures, except for Electric Cherry, I took time to stare at it and I'm pretty sure that is does not faze, which I'm assuming can mean that it is native to that universe/timeline. The Nikolai quote, I believe is simply evidence of either Richtofen in Al's head, or some unknown connection between the two unlike we've seen thus far. If Richtofen is truly omnipotent then timelines wouldn't hinder his power. Samantha still controlled the CotD zombies, as well as the zombies during the eclipse in Shangri-La. Time travel meant nothing against her power, and I can only assume Richtofen has the same, if not greater mastery of his abilities. However clearly another entity is at play which might muddle that up a little bit, so who knows, I guess.
  25. Someone needs to try and compare some gameplay videos of Acidgat V Vitrolic Withering, and Vitrolic Withering v The Sweeper. The only difference I noticed, without really putting much effort into looking, between the Acidgat and the Vitrolic Withering was reserve ammo. Likewise I wonder if the damage level is comparable between the Vitrolic and The Sweeper. As powerful as the Vitrolic is, it doesn't usually guarantee a hoarde kill for me past round 20. Usually most dead, a few crawlers and a couple runners severely damaged.
