  1. George is what makes COTD fun and slightly challenging at times. He makes the game unpredictable, and unpredictability is what I like best about CoDz. Just another opinion though.
  2. Solid loop right there friend. I think that there is a way to optimize the point gains from this loop in the earlier rounds, but I personally prefer the PAP train to round up my zombies for points, it's just a really easy train and has a ton of cutbacks and opportunities to make moves. I rarely ever get trapped in there. The platform is just a bit too slow at this point in time, now that we've really optimized the strategies for all the maps.
  3. This is good advice Jay. The only thing is to really make serious improvements you will at some point have to go out of character. But first find something that works for you, and work on your confidence. I don't know if this will help you but I struggle with my confidence from time to time. This was from last night - [00] Chopper Nator: its drving me crazy got 247 with 17 + 12 left on side drop and still dont know how i downed. not confident in my controller and it's making me play differently [00] Eye (Paolo): aw man [00] Eye (Paolo): I hate games like that man! [00] Eye (Paolo): That would have been a very nice game you think? [00] Eye (Paolo): Least a 325 [00] Eye (Paolo): Before I got my new controller, those things would happen [00] Chopper Nator: i dont know matw tbh it's been a while since i completed a game. i died on 7 minutes in that game [00] Eye (Paolo): Maybe you should just complete a game? [00] Eye (Paolo): No matter the score, just take it easy and get that confidence [00] Eye (Paolo): Probably a 290-310 for you [00] Chopper Nator: i need a 300 [00] Eye (Paolo): The go do that! [00] Eye (Paolo): It's not difficult as I thought before [00] Eye (Paolo): With the spawn control, I may have used it before I even knew what it was! [00] Eye (Paolo): I attributed it to luck, now I realize, that isn't so [01] Chopper Nator: thanks mate 305 [01] Chopper Nator: 307 died with 4 left [02] Eye (Paolo): nice work once again [02] Eye (Paolo): so feeling better now? Never saw this! Glad to see Skype penetrates into the forum. Really though, I pulled out three 290 games before my 312, and it really helps your confidence. Even if you take 2 minutes to PAP and then up until 3:30 to get Jugg, it's okay, as long as you complete a game and get over the 250 kills. For me at least. It's a great confidence booster. I'm sure Hands will tell us all that he completed a bunch of games before his final run. Chopper has obviously, and it's always nice to get a solid resume of games to go along with your one high score. 8-)
  4. A good teammate gets you to 50 as you down 15 times (way2g00), plays 2 Man's Land with you until you're killing yourself with grenades (Phxntxm), revives the entire team multiple times (Savage), and plays a game with you that inspired you to become a bigger part of CoDz- Ascension 35, perfect game. (Chopper). These are my anecdotes, and I look forward to gaining many more in the coming months. Thank you, thank you all.
  5. Congratulations, Hands. You're a man among boys at this stage. You've really outdone yourself once more. Way, take care of the 21+ party, I've got soft drinks covered for the under 21 club. You're all invited to my mansion for a party!
  6. Excellent strategy! This is pretty cool, pretty nice change of pace. It's complete, thorough and contains many new things for me. I learned a lot about using the traps here. Always nice to see someone running the alley; it's become my favorite spot on co-op. I like the way you run it, though. Nice and easy. Overall, an excellent piece of work and a +1 from me.
  7. It is just a TV show. There is a large difference between a story we create versus a story that is created for us. We create Nazi Zombies, and I highly doubt they'd draw inspiration from a game that is the current fad on television. Like it or not, this game won't cross that line. To be perfectly honest, I think the real reason that Walking Dead won't be touched by Treyarch, that both parties have somewhat skirted around is this: it is intellectually beneath the elements all ready ubiquitous inthe storyline. The things we have are brilliant, but we don't a TV show themed map to spell out the crisis of human nature to us. I'd much rather have us figure it out. Sorry, it's worked for a couple installments, so why deviate from the path now? The show is good in its own right, just not for our purposes.
  8. AARON! Hey bud, how's it going? Long time no talk. Well, you know what is... Another old member resurfaces... CoDz will never die, so long as the men who fight for what is morally right in the face of what is ethically wrong stand true to the tenants of one nation, under Richtofen, with liberty and zombification for all. Ehj~
  9. Welcome back to the site! A lot has changed, but hey, we're still keeping up with strategy, story, and teamwork. CoDz will never die, so long as the men who fight for what is morally right in the face of what is ethically wrong stand true to the tenants of one nation, under Richtofen, with liberty and zombification for all. Ehj~
  10. Unless you are posting in the official thread created by Strwrsbob, please avoid posting about the Tacitus website until further evidence is revealed. Just to clear things up, pure speculation at this point, when it has been deemed irrelevant to Call of Duty, will be considered spam. Generally, we would like to avoid such spam topics, and request that you avoid them as well, posting in the appropriate thread. I understand that you are all very excited for the next game and we want to latch on to something interesting, but instead, let me direct you to where you should be looking if you truly want to research about Tacitus. We never truly can jump onto one thing in situations such as these, so please post in the larger thread, so we can actually see the development of our findings. See what you can find on Google, but let's remember that FPSRussia said it had nothing to do with the website or the historical figure. And then post in the appropriate thread, found here: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=21057 Thank you for your time and happy deciphering!
  11. Alright, well 2v2 sounds really good. Jay, I can play with you Sunday mornings, if you'd like. Just let me know the time and I'll try. 2v2 would be fair game for everyone, just no map-specific wonder weapon guns and no Flopper. Basically, everyone needs to keep their teammates alive and try to down the other crew. By round 25, the team with the most points wins. Points are earned by clutching a round for your team. 2 points if you both survive, maybe?
  12. Depends on what round, man. If you're on round 9 with a Bowie and Juggs, just knife your way through, should make it through red screened. Usually, I think there are a couple things you can do up until around round 15. Headshots are always effective, especially against lines of less than three. Something that I notice, however, is that the instant you think you are trapped is not actually when you are trapped. There's about a 2 second delay from when you get stuck on an object and you see a zombie until when you are actually unable to move. Remember the place where you came from and know that the zombies are taking the shortest path to you. Knowing this, take a deep breath and move in the direction away from the zombies coming towards you. Often times, there will be a small opening. This is only if you have a full train, otherwise, I'd need a specific situation, like Chopper said.
  13. Part 2 is just as good as part 1. Personally, I'm kind of dissuading from trying a solo game on here, just cause of petty my attempt will compare to yours. Perhaps a 100 on Kino will suffice? Or Der Riese? The possibilities are endless, so only time will tell what I should do. Something tells me that I want to use some of your other groundbreaking stuff and then twist it to my liking. I think that there's something to be said about a person that can provide such groundbreaking strategy, and yet leave it open to the personal interpretation of the player, if the player is willing to cooperate. Really though, it's great, and I've always enjoyed taking what you and Chopper come up with and tinkering it to my liking.
  14. Always happy to help out in the talks, at least. You know, I've always wanted to say I was friends with some of the best zombies players in the world, now I can say that everyday and have proof everyday. Again, I'm not surprised in the least by how we like to gather points in the early rounds. Your later round strategies are something to behold, however. Crazy what you can learn even at this late stage in the game.
  15. Hey guys, just reminding everyone that we have a playdate on May 12th! Be ready to do some crazy challenges. Pig room anyone?
  16. This is really great, actually making one of these myself, for all my threads. Can't wait to release it in vibrant color. Have some brains, Chopper, just for taking the time to move through all your stuff. I've seen most of it and I know I can just talk to you anytime I want to clarify something. :)
  17. I can't say much on our plans for recognizing strategists, but I can say that I will have a large say in the matter (Chopper as well).
  18. No problem, man. Stop taking my brains! This is amazing, really something special, Hands. I was feeling down today, having pulled of a few 300 kill games, never get past my record of 312. Now, I'm even more motivated to keep up my push for great gameplay with your ground breaking play. It's inspiring, and frankly, legendary at this point. 330 on the telepad! I can't even get 330 on the Side Drop! :D
  19. They are on pc, Chopper, Eye are on ps3, 5and5 and jLoves2game I think are on xbox. I don't count. But knife (swiping) you need to get as close as possible. Hope that helps. Superhands and Tom are on PC as well.
  20. Great set of rules, way. It's important to do what is needed to achieve a high round game (if that's what you're going for). My philosophy is that if you are the leader in points, you're inevitably going to get those points back, so why not spend money on doors? Sure, the randoms probably won't repay you, but it's life. You just have to keep going.
  21. Solid theory. I'm interested for sure in the implications of the word Eclipse, as well as what it means for the story. Let's not forget that the Shangri-La egg was the product of an eclipse; time travel will obviously play a big part of the whole game it seems (if that allusion proves to be true). A solar eclipse was regarded by ancient cultures as a bad omen or something of a supernatural soliciting. If so, we're in for a lot of crazy things. Overall, this gets me excited. Eclipses erase the sun (light), paving way for darkness. Looks like we're in for a dark game folks. ;)
  22. The mechanics of how fast they move right from the start are similar, but there are many reasons as to why No Man's Land is different. I think that the main one is the ability to properly train the zombies; this isn't necessarily available in Dead Ops. In addition, time is of the essence in NML, whereas in Dead Ops, you are generally free to take your time. Where I do see the connection is the intense reflexes required to excel in the game mode, as well as the hidden complexity behind the game. Interestingly enough, these two things are basically separate game modes, with different approaches required to succeed. Good to see you posting even more, Alpha.
  23. Moving up! I'm really starting to get into the swing of things in NML again. It's a good feeling. 8-)
  24. Sorry how that came off man, been a bit pissy lately. Yeah, you were spot on basically, but the end you made more complex than it had to be. If it's as quick as you say it will be, which I know it will, then you've got something that is substantially easier than trying to play it like LMS.
  25. Honestly mate, I think it could do with an overhaul. But I think maybe you, myself and Chopper could work on a v2, Chopper and myself have found out a lot that has helped members on here better their scores, some of them even getting to 300 using our tips and advice. Eye I will work with Super on getting something made, I've been thinking for a while about trying to collate various videos......but I might try and do my 10 point plan with Supers assistance for some of the gameplay. I will also look at our other members who has posted various videos and take from there. But all CODZ There is so much stuff floating around, as Super said a fair amount from the 2 of us that I don't think it needs to be rewritten....reformatted for sure. Sure thing. It's crazy to see where we started with all this, a guide, simple, easy, still effective, but now we've made great strides and I think that the guide is still a great way to get familiar with the territory. Almost like the preface to actually doing the 10-point program, wouldn't you say? Is that not sound advice? Read the guide to get a feel (only if you're brand new, of course), but then move on to your guys' big boy stuff. Not really in a position to give No Man's Land advice at the moment. Need that 330 to re-establish myself, eh? ;)
