  1. C'mon guys, let's actually put this to use! I know someone has a question out there.
  2. COD will not become the next Madden by itself. While I like your stance, COD and Madden are two very different things. Madden was driven into the ground by the game itself. COD will be driven into the ground by the community. No game is perfect; there are always going to be flaws in a game. Hell, even in the most highly acclaimed games there are flaws. But people who exploit those flaws to showcase bravado in an online game are what gives credence to the belief that COD is an immature and hopeless franchise. I doubt most people would rage if the only issue with COD was a disconnection every 5-10 games, but when compounded by how other people exploit and abuse in-game features designed with purpose, that is what makes COD aggravating and ultimately, that which could send this franchise into the ground. Sadly, I must say, the only way for COD to change on the Multiplayer front is for the people to change. Everyone wants to change the game, but nobody looks to change themselves.
  3. The Mighty Chopper... shall attempt a round 100 on a map of myth, a place we all know as... Shangri-La. I will also be attempting a round 100 on the fabled map, and will update CoDz with my progress once I commence my run.
  4. However, let me say this, NML is the only game mode where both the above skills are directly tested against time. You cannot perform in NML to the high level that we all hope to reach, or have reached in some cases, without concentrating and kiting under the ultimate pressure: time. Time is the universal stress factor in our lives; it is that which intrinsically symbolizes pressure, decay, and the essence of progress. In order to progress our actions, time is necessary and flows irregardless of failure or success. In No Man's Land, we are fighting against time to progress to PAP our pistol, to progress to getting Juggernog, to progress to achieving as high a kill total as possible. [tab][/tab]We must rush to achieve these things, and playing a game mode where your concentration, dodging, and kiting abilities are tested equates to an extremely difficult situation. And yet, there are two sides to this coin: we must rush and be prudent in our decisions. When one simply rushes into the zombies and plays it as a mere speed run, that is when he fails this challenge. This challenge requires the pure instinct and conditioning to survive amplified conditions, that when placed next to the hands of time, fuse together to create a sickeningly challenging, addicting, and rewarding gaming experience. No, we are not content to just survive, but we seek to thrive in this environment. And it is only then, only when you realize that when time, not zombies, is your greatest enemy, you will realize exactly how much skill and determination it requires to successfully conquer the barren plain of dusty death that is No Man's Land.
  5. In the example you've given, I think that it's perfectly acceptable to do that, and I think that at the player's own discretion, it's their choice whether or not to control their game like that. I'm not a PC expert, but I can say that if it's purely for convenience then I generally have no issues with that. Like you said, there are drawbacks, and often times, it's just better to control your game completely, without the buttons gaming for you, per say.
  6. Very clear and understandable. You underestimate how well you teach people. It's really cool to see your movements, as well as your adaptation of the Chopper Eye PAP strategy. I find myself thinking the same things when I play, too.
  7. I'm not surprised at all that I came up with a slightly similar version to this last week. You, me, Chopper, we all think the same when it comes to No Man's Land. That's something special. I was at around 1:45, doing things a little wrong, or going down when knifing those fast crawlers. You perfected something that I had envisioned, and that, my friend, is truly something awesome. 8-)
  8. Amazing response. +1 from me as well. Well thought out and technical, which is exactly what we wanted. I'll merge the threads later. Now, for the next ones: I am going to update the original post each time and just bump the thread. Chopper, if you don't mind, I'll take control of the next couple. I've got some tricky, hard ones planned. These are the hardest yet. :)
  9. Still, some of you may want the individual attention of a hypothetical specific game situation, some of you may have specific habit you'd like to break, or maybe you were in a situation that you want to handle better next time. Think of this as one of my presents to you guys, a place where you can come to just hang out and present to us your advice. I hope that you guys will spread the word that anyone having trouble with their game can come here to talk to me about specific details of what they need to work on. In addition, it probably won't be just me; I can guarantee that your favorite strategist will be here to help you out as well. Think of this as my house on CoDz, where you can visit my theater to view some of the gameplay videos I really enjoy, where you can go to my library and read threads I find really enjoyable, and finally, you can enter the enormous living room filled with all my friends and talk to us about the game, discuss innovative strategies and just have a great time talking about the gameplay that makes Zombies such a thrill. [tab][/tab]Enough talking. My arms are open, I'm smiling, and welcoming you home. 10. Be technical, 'Hands! Describe the technical terms for running the spawn train in detail. You know the terms. :)
  11. Didn't read anything after your "cook a grenade" thing. I'm sorry, I gave you double brains. Probably my subconscious ignoring you since you kick my ass in Scramble all the time. Anyway, next time you guys need to be more detailed, and I'll let slip that you forgot to mention which teleporter. ;)
  12. way2g00 gets the brains for being the closest to the solution, and even if ours don't work, he was the only one to mention the teleporter in the power room, the only way to speed up the process and give you the best chance to revive all three.
  13. Actually the 1001 Samurai's does the most damage Consider me surprised. Only used it once, had no idea it did that much damage, but I will update my current post to reflect your info. Now I'm going to use that gun every time I play Der Riese.
  14. The AK74fu2 does the most max damage of any Black Ops wall weapon and has the most ammo. End of discussion. Without the upgrade, it's just preference really. I enjoy the burst fire for headshots until around 15, then I'll use the AK for a few until I PAP it or just trade it in for a wonder weapon.
  15. Alright, everything's been submitted as far as I can see. Map basics, guys. Power room teleporter always takes you to a different floor i.e. you could go to the War Room or the first floor. Teleported to War Room What you have next is a bunch of zombies running at you, but since you revived this guy, he can take the entire train pretty easily and get Jugg. Shoot zombies as necessary (he has a wonder weapon for added support). This lets you revive the guy by the Double Tap elevator. Then, you both wait till the train is clear and then go down together; he gets Jugg. You take the elevator to get the last guy. Take the elevator back up. Wait till the train is on the other said and take him to get Jugg. You've now revived the entire team, and everyone has Jugg. Teleported to First Floor Now, one of these guys will have the Awful Lawton, and you know that he is a good zombies player because he PAPed the Crossbow. Either way, you know that this guy will save himself and if he's with you, he'll help save you. Give me feedback on my solution, though. Might be imperfect, but considering everything, it's very possible even without a mic.
  16. HS10, enough said. The PaP version is awesome, but there's almost no ammo and is almost useless by the time I prefer to hit the box.
  17. Loved your first post, man. Since you've seen all that stuff, check out the Master Zombies Guide and Complete Solo Survival Guide if you're interested in checking out some strategy. We know you're already good at zombies, and here on CoDz, we provide an opportunity for you to share your knowledge and just chill with the liveliest undead crew around. If you have any questions, let me know! Enjoy your stay. Ehj~
  18. Wow, great strategy man. Amazing first post, as well. We don't get too many new users around here who go straight for the high level of post quality. Stick around, come over to the introductions section, so we can all greet you properly. 8-)
  19. Going to spend 3 hours on NML and try to get a 330 game. Here I come.
  20. Tom's method seems the best to me so far, but I want to wait and see what 'Hands says, since this is his favorite map. Thanks for being open with this! I'm going to be more specific next time, with a slightly easier challenge, before it gets even harder. We're going to Kino next!
  21. That it does, but considering these are simply just the steps for how to actually do the egg, with no storyline implications addressed, I feel as though it's better served here. Also, if someone were to ask, "How do you the Easter Egg?" they'd probably check gameplay first.
  22. Take care, man. Here at CoDz, we have your remedy- be it strategy, story, or teamwork. If you ever need some help or just have some questions, let me know. Enjoy your stay, and have some brains for just hanging in there like a champ. I admire your bravery.
  23. You don't have a mic, they can't hear you, there's only one left alive (not including you). You only have Stamin-Up. You have 950 points. The box is in the AK Room, the map is Shangri-La. All the doors are open. Your name is P1. He is P3. He is a major troll, but he is also the host. He has been insulting your significant other the entire game and thinks he is a beast player. He said he was the best on the team but he has 7 downs, your friend has 2. You have 11. It's round 38, this would be your new high, as well as your best friend's new high. You hit the box once, completely out of ammo and grenades, you get the Ray Gun. He runs into the power room with a full train of 18 zombies to add to your 6. In the mess of things, you accidentally trap him but managed to pick up the Ray Gun. The zombies are right on top of you, spawning only directly in front of you, not on top of you, as he killed only 5 zombies with his Ray Gun, again to troll. Escape is your only option, but you know that this is the end of the round as only 4 zombies spawned. You have 40 seconds to kill the entire horde and revive him; you must kill the zombies first, because this has been a bad game for you, you've gone down many times, so he thinks you suck. He wants you to kill them or else he will quit the game, making your high round stay at 27. He asks you to kill the zombies first to prove that you are good. Again, you know that shooting two shots consecutively directly in front of you will kill you. Kill the zombies from at least 20 feet away, all at once, and then manage to down everyone on the team simultaneously to end the game on round 39 to troll right back (his high round is 39). As soon as the round ends, you have 7 seconds to type a message to your friend on PSN. What do you say? How do you kill the zombies from 20 feet away to ensure that you don't down? How do you kill everyone on the team for the ultimate act of revenge on a jerk? It's late at night for you and you have to go anyway; round 39 is very acceptable. Describe to me the exact process of your steps as well as the loop/train you would run, in exact detail. This challenge tests map knowledge and game mechanics. =========================================================================== This will be a great way to get our brains thinking and escaping the situations we are presented with. Overall, I think it'll do the community some good. There's only one way to tell though, right? 8-)
  24. One thing that I'd like to recommend is that it's much more efficient to use 4 shots to the neck/head area plus one knife. It takes that snap to head practice, but overall, it's a really great way to maximize your bullets for points. Great guide, though. I can't believe no one's posted on this.
