  1. It's been announced that in the BO 2 zombies custom settings, you can choose to have "Magic" enabled or disabled. "Magic" refers to perks, mystery boxes, and pack-a-punch machines. So it's confirmed now that the PAP machine is magical by nature. Spin that fact however you want to. - Mix
  2. During the time of your greatest need, the Devil is more than willing to sell you your greatest desires, in exchange for a piece of your soul.
  3. I'll try to offer my opinion without offering any spoilers... I don't feel like I saw everything, or enough to make a full opinion on the game yet. But from the 12 min of low quality footage I saw, I still have fears that the game is going to feel more like brand new BO zombies maps, than it will as a full upgrade / new game from the last. On a positive note, the buildables are becoming more interesting to me. I love a good scavenger hunt in zombies. You know, like how in Five you had to find the part to the trap in the basement, and then turn on the power, before you could activate the electricity trap back up in the start room. It's kinda like that, but much more elaborate (which I like).
  4. I couldn't help it and ruined the surprise for myself. I have no regrets. I'm glad to finally see some gameplay.
  5. I'm still updating my OP here and there. Sad to see how many of the video links in the OP I've gathered over the past few months, have suddenly gone down due to copyright claims. I'm sure the video uploaders could have claimed 'Fair Use' for every single one of those historical documentaries that are now be lost to the public. Censorship sucks. Even sadder to see is that we American's never learned from our mistakes of the Iran-Contra scandal. Illegal sales of arms by the US to it's forein enemies continues on. Here's a prime example of this detailed in a 2007 news story Mw-SLCY5-sU
  6. Amazing work, PINNAZ What more can you tell us about this? This sparks my interest... I started digging around on the website that hosted that image. In the History of Tesla section I found this other strange image along with the caption: HORUS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus Was Tesla working for an ancient Egyptian God? - Mix
  7. The glitches are game breaking on this map
  8. As one of the zombie communities most dedicated members in uncovering the mysteries within the game, there's a few lines in here that really upset me. A part of me suspected this was true all along, and didn't want to accept it. Another part of me wishes Jimmy would have laid these facts on us much sooner, instead of watching us all blindly go down the rabbit hole in search to find something more on the other side. In a way, I feel like we've been trolled by the creative team. I'd say my original approach to the storyline was to treat each map as a crime scene investigation. It was our job to uncover the clues on the map to find the deeper parts of the storyline. No wonder so many clues lead no where, or feel completely out of context with the rest of the map when given critical analysis. These loose ends were never meant to tie together like a knot at all. They were meant to be questions with no real answers. It's frustrating to me to know that I've wasted tons of time frivolously searching for answers to mysteries that were never there. I wish the developers put enough focus into developing the zombie storyline, so that we didn't have to pick up the pieces and formulate it for them. I want to uncover mysteries. Not create fan-fiction based on the loose ends that were never meant to fit together. I wouldn't say this ruins the zombie storyline for me. But it sure does take a lot of the luster out of it! Going forward, this new revelation will likely change the way I approach uncovering the secrets in the game. You'll probably see a decline in storyline theories from me, and a deeper focus on uncovering the historical references and why they are relevant to aspects in the game. I must say that the game has been an excellent vehicle for me to get interested in researching all kinds of secret history where truth is stranger than fiction. That's still fun for me, so that'll likely be my focus from here on out. Buzzkilled by Jimmy, - Mix
  9. I'm still putting in work on NML. I know I can do better than 323. It's just a matter of time...
  10. Watch out for stones being cast your way Matuzz. I, myself, tried to express my feelings of dissapointment at the lack of new content being shown for BO2 zombies, including Treyarch's inability to get me excited in the reveals (which is something that should be so easy to do)... and for it I got blasted on as ungrateful along with several other derogatory remarks by longtime member MMX. And then saw my comments spark a newer member to write this thread basically saying I shouldnt be able to formulate and own my opinion viewtopic.php?f=100&t=24625 Other members such as perfectlemonade and shooter have respectfully disagreed with me in their own ways. So yeah, I learned the hard way that thinking those thoughts outloud is against the grain here and will likely just piss off other members enough to openly disagree with you. *ducks for cover* - Mix
  11. I thought it was funny too. I added it earlier today on my Oliver North thread: viewtopic.php?f=101&t=24561 - Mix
  12. I saw this video today on youtube, and it reminded me of Shooter's theory in the OP about the possibility of the weapon using a jet turbine CzG3hKe020U - Mix
  13. The Alex Jones Channel does a breakdown of Black Ops 2: c7iSRIRVNow [Watch 1:10 - 6:00] Looks like they've covered a lot of points I've covered in the OP, as well as points about future weaponry AlphaSnake has brought to our attention here: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=21236 - Mix
  14. ^ I stand corrected.... This is an example of why he's the Legend, folks. - Mix
  15. I know there's been discussion here and there about real-life Vrill Devices. Shooter and I, among others, have covered aspects of it. Most of it is posted in obscure threads, which is why you probably didn't find anything in your search. For instance, I have some notes about it somewhere in the depths of this massive thread: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 67&t=18543 But I don't believe anyone here has yet introduced the connection with 'Vajra' being another name for the same thing. Reading the wikipedia link you provided, the connection has been made even more clear to me on the Golden Rod's place within the grand scheme of the zombie story arc. Thanks for posting your findings, - Mix
  16. Then I'm sure I sound really whiny and ungrateful when I say that I'm really dissapointed that the big new shiny feature I just saw for their sequel game is little more than a remodelled riot shield. Had the community been able to mod BO the way it can with WAW, I'm sure we'd already be playing with something similar on the PC version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95myhyZ6dNg
  17. Which brings me full circle back to this statement: I have a feeling that if they had more cools stuff to show us, they would be doing so. We zombie fans are the most loyal and dedicated of Treyarch's customers. And I feel our corner of the market deserves much more attention from them. I feel we really do deserve our own standalone zombie game at this point. Not just whatever they can squeeze in after they have single player campaign and MP squared away. I see a lot of copy/paste from the last games. That makes me feel like we'll be getting a lot of copy/paste maps like Five and Moon were. Good maps, but I can tell they were rushed out the door
  18. Two things bother me about this steak 1. As a 3D artist, the squared off texturing at the top of this model is really ugly and unprofessional looking to me 2. WTF is that orange/yellow stuff in the meat? Is that like infection/cancer of some sort? A chunk of lava? Looks weird - Mix
  19. Some of those features you mentioned basically come with the territory of now being on the MP server (ie Grief, Adjustable Settings, Theater mode). I was expecting to see new weapons in this latest teaser. Instead I see one new weapon and the old revolver with a new name attached to it. I expected to see new maps or areas of the map. Instead we see the same spot that we saw at the end of the last zombie teaser vid. And I want to see new stuff in these maps. Yet I see the new map covered with recycled models and textures from the previous two games. We've gotten no news about the story or new characters. Haven't seen any new traps, or environmental hazards. Haven't seen anything new with how we interact with the environment, other than there being a bus. From what I've seen, it looks like a custom map that could have been made for BO zombies, had the developers allowed custom maps to be made for BO zombies. So far I've seen a half-assed upgrade to their last game.
  20. Im over being hyped up for new zombie reveals and then being let down by the delivery. Just give me the f'n game already. Treyarch, your teasers suck. Waiting to see something impressive has only left me with blue balls. I have a fear that the lack of quality zombie info we've been receiving is a result of the developers putting the majority of their focus into the single-story campaign and MP. And the zombie part is just an after thought being rushed and crammed on the disk at the last moment. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how many corners the developers cut this time around. I'm super excited for this game. But the teasers Treyarch has given us thus far don't wet my appetite at all. It actually pisses me off at how little they have to show for all the dev time they've had to work on it. Hope they prove me wrong come release day - Mix
  21. I see Zombie trick montages in our near future. - FaZe Mix
  22. Looks like the Iran-Contra scandal will play a pivotal role in the development of the main villain's backstory (Raul Menendez) in Black Ops 2. You guys may want to check out some of the info, videos, and links I've put in the OP before diving into this backstory. It may help give you a broader perspective of the cultural and political climate of Nicaragua in the 1980's, The backstory of Raul Menendez will be illustrated in a 23 page book called Rightful King. Customers who pre-order "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" on Amazon will receive the Kindle Backstory for free when the item is released. Amazon Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ref=pe_232100_26154370_pe_button/?ASIN=B009OJJ3GA More info about Rightful Kings posted at CharliesINTEL site: http://www.charlieintel.com/2012/10/11/black-ops-2-book-rightful-king-coming-soon/ I know I'll be reading this - Mix
  23. I've learned that my style of thread posting isn't for everyone. A lot of times the big post just scare people off, or there is so much content there, others don't know where to begin with replying. There is hours worth of video links and related sources to go through here. I wouldn't expect any one to take it all in within a day or two. I don't expect anyone will be diligent enough to look at it all anyways. If any of you have a term paper to write on the Iran-Contra Scandal or related topics, then this should be a good place to find some resources for research. And I realize my timing for releasing this thread is off. Had this thread come out immediately after the BO2 teaser trailers that Oliver North starred premiered, it would have gathered more attention. Took me a couple weeks to compile all my research into this report. But I sat on it for even longer than that. And being the tail-end of the off-season, it is what it is. If Oliver North shows up as a NPC character in this game, then I think this thread may spark more attention.
