It would be cool if much like some games for multiplayer, they actually posted awards for weekly zombie challenges via Elite.
-
I doubt it. Infact, it might even have everything unlocked automatically given its DLC. Or just a part of a different group entirely for DLC if they decide to introduce a new weapon with each DLC.
-
That's better. Speaking of perks, it would be even more interesting and extreme if you stumbled upon some mystery perk that was basically something completely random after unveiling some kind of secret room or something after these mini quests. Have it cost something ridiculous too, say, 50,000 points and it could randomly enable one of the following settings for that game: - Expert mode - All Perks - Golden Guns - Original Characters - Classic weapons - Headless zombies - Takeo's katana - Play as Samantha - Disable perks - Pistols only - Death machine - Unlimited grenades - +50,000 points - Discounted items - Napalm zombies - Nova zombies - Monkeys - Hellhounds - Sprinters And more! And it would only choose ONE. And what would be the fun in it if it didn't have a chance to pick something more challenging than rewarding? ;)

Only one post? C'mon, I know I'm not alone here :P

It's way too blingy for my liking. I wish they would have went for PaP camo instead.

Hey CoDz, After watching some random videos yesterday of easter eggs and the good 'ol days of having games with cheat codes, I got to thinking how we could bring some of that light to the world of zombies. Sure, we have the big story-driven EE that are the most anticipated we've all been following, but I was actually a bigger fan of also unwinding bits and pieces found throughout the map. I LOVED going on hunts with buddies in the WaW days and getting excited everytime we found a radio or legible sketch or writing somewhere. Der Riese was the prime example of that. Anyways, I think it would be cool if they did those again kicked it up a notch and intertwined these with the rewards they like to give out at the end of EE's. For example, I've had this idea floating in my head lately of having "mini quests/objectives" in addition to the main EE. These "quests" would be triggered by finding these clues or items around the map and are random each time you play. These objectives would be no easy matter too, and could get pretty specific, but it would be fun to unravel these secrets with absoultely nothing in the game that hints towards them. So, picture this as an idea. You play the game as normal, and there's the big EE to solve. But say, you're playing and you come across some old journal that has some notes written in it. Much like the Field Ops Manual, and multiple journal notes are spread around with some plan or discovery they had. Each note never points to anything specific and keeps you thinking, and finding all pages are essential for unlocking the next steps and spawning new journal entries. No two are alike, and are cleverly hidden, say, in a stack of papers that you knock off the table perhaps? A specific book in a book shelf that can be removed? The further along you get, the more challenging it gets but eventually come down to a point where after you've solved the mini puzzles that are more in tune with the maps environment, you're granted some kind of award in doing so. Could just be a new permanent perk, or something more. But I always wanted to have something for finding these smaller EE's, and for them to be more interactive, especially if they relate to what's going on anyways. One idea I had specifically was completing these mini quests to unveil a hidden room with all the components to build a classic wonder weapon from Blops or WaW. Or even replace all the wall weapons with WaW weapons or something.

It's that a fact? If so, you could in L4D too...
-
And I'm 1% sure you guys are missing all possible ideas. People into things WAY too deeply.

I've personally never bought anything beyond the original four perks. With the exception of Mule Kick for obvious reasons. But where did that go? F*ck Tombstone or "Spider-Man" perks, I wanna 'nother gun!

Dev hinted Transportation in Die Rise?! TranZit Style Map?
Undead replied to LegitimateRage's topic in Die Rise
That's odd, he has the exact same name as our founder. How interesting! I don't think the quest is "IF" I think it's "What". Green Run also had a teleporting system. Will Die Rise have a special alternative to travel much like the bus? -
They've introduced enough special types of zombies to justify doing "Special Infected" for Turned mode so, it's plausible. Although it really is becoming a L4D spinoff at this point but hell, they already introduced the mode, why not have special zombies? Also here's a fun thought, a mode where the zombies actually aren't dumb enough to loop with is basically why lies ahead. o_O
-
I really hope they just stop adding perks. It's almost ruined them for me at this point since they also removed a few in Green Run and Nuketown.
-
Chances are this won't even work like the regular zombies mode with round based counts and all. More than likely it will be Treyarch's way of reintroducing "Infection" Thing I'm curious about is the lobby. Is it going to be against ALL player-controlled zombies and have a 12-18 player lobby? Or just have a few "special" typed zombies for human players and a regular sized lobby? I certainly hope it's the first one.
-
The new "Turned" mode just makes zombies that much more similar to L4D, but at least they are adding new content and modes, rather that just maps.
-
Isn't the Asylum back up and working fine here? People could always just grab those old theories and paste them here again.
-
Heh, why did I see that coming? Zombies is slowly but surely morphing to a L4D.
-
I personally hope they also include an additional "classic" type map where it's just one relatively decent sized map that we all know and love as well. Sure, I can break Green Run into 3 or 4 "survival" mode sections, but actual different maps is nice to. Wishful thinking of course, but it was nice to play Nuketown when Green Run got old.
-
Correct.

Glad you guys are enjoying the new medals. And, ideas for future medals are defintely encouraged, send any ideas you have for new medals to me via PM. Thanks! :)

I think people new about it, just not how to get it.

So apparently, after reading the latest news post on Blops 2, people have found there was a hidden camo after gold, yeah, Diamond camo. And if gold didn't look blingy enough, Diamond is basically gold camo with diamond plating. This super expensive camo is unlocked once you've earned gold camo on all weapons within a class (SMG's/Assault/Snipers etc.) The quickest way to get this for yourself would be to unlock gold camo on all of the "Specials" classes. If you haven't seen it yet, here ya go:

^ I was just going to say this would make things more interesting if you could only build one or the other, and the which ever sign piece you grab, determines which machine it is. Then, after about 4 uses, the machine "breaks" and you have to recollect the pieces, and the sign pieces reset. It would also still cost 5000, so pray you don't go down!

What?! Undead is posting an actual zombies related thread? I know... right? Hey CoDz, just thought it was about time we started up one of these threads again since we are now anticipating the first DLC release for Blops 2 and it's never too late to shed some light to those from Treyarch that are watching. That being said, I've gotta thing or two that I've posted before, and have held onto. 1. Character Selection - Normally I wouldn't be much for copying ideas, but I think Call of Duty could learn a thing or two from the set up of Left 4 Dead. That specifically being, if I set up an online match and have to wait for people, I'd at least want dibs on a character I wish to have. Same goes for single player or split screen. I know I'm not the only one who keeps restarting the round just so I can be Misty when playing alone. 2. LESS hazards - I'm sure we've all had our fair share of bitching when it came to getting burned on Green Run. Sure, a hole in the ground with oozing lava, that hurts, but the smallest crack in the ground too? You know what they say, I guess... "Don't step on a crack, or you'll uh.. ah..AHHHHHHHH!" 3. Interactive Hazards - Speaking of which, I really enjoyed how you could add components to the bus as well as build traps in Green Run, but I'd like to see it go bigger and better as well, and even have some environmental changes occur by course of action that ulitmately change and alter how things work for the remainder of the game as well. And, of course it wouldn't be a challenge if it didn't have it's up's and down's. Say for example you could trigger and explosion that knocked a building down. That creates "X" path, but also blocks off "Y" path for the remainer of the game. 4. Creep Factors - I don't know about the rest of you, but one of the biggest components I came to enjoy the most about the first zombie maps were the grim, dark and eerie environments. I loved hearing those random bangs in SNN, the people crying in Verruckt, the children singing in Der Riese on top of just a dark, dark map. Verruckt is still my personal favorite for sending a chill down your spine, especially when wearing my Turtle Beaches. I'd like to see more of that in future maps. And even have it be something you have to push through to get through part of the map. Like, perhaps finding flashlight to advance though the dark, creepy flickering tunnels that only lights a narrow part of what you are looking at. The rest is just glowy eyes in a pitch black horizon. That's about it for me, I'll add more as I think of them.

Black Ops 2 - Revolution DLC(?) Banner
Undead replied to Strwrsbob's topic in Research & Development
Here's to hoping our beloved originals make a return this time. -
Is 'Die Rise' the real name for our new map?
Undead replied to Zaptn.'s topic in Research & Development
I really hope it's not "Die Rise" because more than half the time already, I thought someone was just too drunk to spell Der Riese the right way...
