  1. To the poster with the quote, why would Dr Maxis say that? There's no indication that anything Demonic was happening with anyone other than Rictoven before he locked them in the room? There's no reason Maxis would suspect Sam or the bear of anything? The only quote that's similar is when Maxis is talking about Sophia, and says that he knows she's interested him, perhaps these got confused since I can't find the one your talking about. Well there's no doubt that at the very least the teddy bear is metaphorical of Sam, but I also suspect it's much more demonic than that. We see in Sams room the normal teddy's overseeing the players, which would suggest that normal Sams room is still representative for the game being played. Then why the out burst against the bear? She likely rips it apart and kills all the little ones. I suspect it mirrors the duality of the song 115 in how Sam wants to kill Rictoven no matter what, but somewhere along the lines snaps. Which is when it crosses from the simple zombie story, into the much darker demonic story.
  2. ^^I havent read through that all yet, but I always avoid going up or down the left staircases. I go up the right in the lobby, and down the right in mp40 room. Like you going counter clockwise. I find this makes it much easier
  3. I was wondering if someone could take a good shot of the chess board in Sam's room. From what I can see it appears that the Teddy is playing as White, and the empty seat is playing as black. It appears that Teddy has a king, pawn, and rook surrounding the black king near his side of the board, and in 2 moves can queen his pawn at the other end. Although not as decisive as the board being in an actual checkmate situation, I'm pretty sure that Teddy will win the game. Black MUST move their king on their next move, and as stated Teddy will have a queen again in minimum of 2 rounds, at which point its game over. I could be wrong, since I can't see the other pieces clearly, however, I'm pretty sure I'm right. Maybe it means nothing, but you have one teddy at a table drinking the 4 perk bottles, 1 teddy overseeing the characters on the doll set, and one teddy playing a game of chess against the unknown opponent, and although the game of chess isn't over with a check mate, the Teddy is just toying with the other person, and after 2 moves, can win whenever they want, or drag out the game as long as possible, just fucking with the other person. Move illusion to the fact that Sam (represented as the teddy) is overseeing and controlling the destiny of the characters. Also, just a curious note, there are checkerboard patterns across the map, and the checkerboard pattern is a common symbol for the Illuminati, and as well as the struggle between black and white, good and evil. Yes there is good (characters) vs evil (zombie), but also good vs evil since in 115 Sam declares she's the "left hand of all that's sacred", which refers to demonic tendencies.
  4. Well Five has to take place in 1963, because the Cuban Missile Crisis already happened and Kennedy wasn't assassinated yet. You meet Clarke in the campaign in 68. So, why would he look older 5 years prior to you meeting him. And as far was we know you can only travel forward in time using teleporters not backwards. I think Clarke is not the thief. There is also no conclusive evidence to think Clarke was in Group 935 and the Thiefs bag has there logo on it. Also, on the Thiefs strap it has Illumanati writing that translates to "Living Dead". Not sure what this means because I also don't think he is a zombie. If we can find the identity of a person associated with Illumanati and Group 935 we may get closer to an answer. The only person I can think of with affiliations with both is Richtofen, and I really don't think its him. Hope that helps. It could also be late 1962, but most likely it's 1963.
  5. I don't think the gun base theory is correct. I think it's just the butterfly effect and you're trying to tie things together, for the wrong reason. Yes, there is a reason they are shaped like that, ergonomics. There's a reason why guns have triggers, and grips. It makes them easy to use. Maybe he is out of parts, but if thats the case how does he have the parts for the weaponized part? Doesn't make sense he can't acquire pistol grips but he can make high powered compressed air cannons, and electromagnetic weapons from the spare parts he does have
  6. Nayrc I don't really want to argue one way or another between Clarke or not, but I will mention the points about the subconscious, and Zombies not having brains. The first, is that consciousness is not located in the brain, if you look into some of the experiments the Nazi's were experimenting with, or MKULTRA, you will see that drugs, torture, psychological programming, personality breaking, were all used to remove consciousness from the body, implant "alters", or be able to control individuals with triggers. It would be foolish to think that the scientists conducting the experiments were not looking issues of consciousness. Regardless of if the zombies has consciousness or not, you wouldn't know. What would you do? Severe ethical issues would arise. From the medical and scientific communities, as well as personal issues. How would you react to the situation? Would you instantly kill the "zombies". At what point do they lose their "humanity". Is it ok to kill animals? What about abortion? Slavery? These are all issues that have similar MASSIVE ethical, sociopsycological questions that arise from them. Hopefully I don't have to explain more into this, and you get the idea, but if you really need me to explain why it makes perfect sense for them to try to "break through" to the consciousness, and how that doesn't even mean they have a consciousness, only that they were trying to reach it. Which by the way, as I stated, is the same thing the Nazis and American HUMANS were doing to other HUMANS. You think they wouldn't with zombies?
  7. Although a lot of work went into the Five map, I think that it's not canon to the traditional zombie story. Also, something people need to remember, and I keep saying it, is the zombie story is really two stories. One is zombies, and killing them. Pretty simple, nothing much there. The other is the whole demonic side of Samantha, and the actually messed up stuff going on. So if anything were happening "canon" to the story, I doubt it would have anything to do with the demonic Samantha Maxis, or Dr. Maxis, and would most likely just be straight Zombie infection. Kino appears to be happening in 1950 while Five is taking place at least in 1962, more likely 1963. I doubt Sam Maxis would take a 13 year break
  8. this is what I wrote on another post
  9. Nerve toxins/chem weapons, along the lines of VX. It makes sense they are mentioned in conjunction with Nova6. There use is banned by Geneva convention and treaties on chemical weapons, and they are deadly, but both are much weaker than Nova is made out to be.
  10. I wouldn't think it would be hard at all to keep going forever. Zombies stop spawning in at a certain number, it won't increase, regardless of the round. My highest is 39, with 3 people, but the rounds get extremely long. If round 99 is 3x of 33 then it's going to take hours per round, and it's just ridiculous. I think it's to the point now with Kino where there are basically three tiers. People who just straight suck and get no where, people who "suck" at Zombies per say with strategy but are able to get to medium levels by relying on gun skill, and most likely good teammates, then good players. With getting to 39 I don't think there is a tier above me. There is no more skill or strategy that is required. Just time
  11. You realize that this was intentional right? And you're actually looking newbish for not knowing about it It increases power up chances, or at least it's thought to. Could also be the butterfly effect, impossible to know w/o seeing the code, but either way, it doesn't hurt to do it.
  12. I'm going to have to say the reason you think that regular ray gun is stronger is because it has slash damage. Most likely you just don't have very good aim with it. So you're missing a lot of shots, and the splash damage is hitting the zombies, whereas with the PaP version, you're just completely missing....as you need a direct hit
  13. Theres so much stuff in Keno, more than I'd like to list at the moment. Three film reels, 2 radios, musical bricks, musical rocks, all sorts of weird papers/books, some guy being tortured, a guy stuck in a closet, a rocket that takes off...
  14. Countdown....a display shows the number of Zombies you need to kill to advance the round
  15. What bothers me is that it is extremely hard to find the triggers, especially with four players. For example, to be able to launch the rocket, something has to occur. I don't know what it is, but there are times when it won't launch, however, once you get it to launch once, it will always do it for the rest of the game. So while something like using each of the 115 guns may be a trigger, it's pretty hard to tell if that was really it. I personally don't think that there is a link with the 115 guns, however, it says beware of the 6 and there are 6 of them with 115 in the name. The information on uup though says it's used for "general weapon upgrades", and it powes PaP so I don't see there being any great surprise to why they are named that. Also, most of the names are pretty simple. Python turns into viper (snakes). The colt (horse) pistol turns into Mustang (horse) and sally. The ballistic knife turns into a defibulator (restarts the heart/revives teammates), etc, etc.
  16. Hey everyone, Dave (Xieon) here. I love gaming, big ever since the original Socom. That game led to much bigger things for me, and a lot of people. There was a website that was socombattles.net and that turned into gamebattles.com. GB now merged with MLG is the dominating force in the competitive gaming community. I've been a part of GB ever since the beginning, and was the former Socom II Head Admin, and various other positions over the years. I'm still working with Gamebattles.com and Major League Gaming. I'm currently a forum moderator with the website. I love Call of Duty Zombies. It's such an excellent game, as well viral phenomenon. The Nova6 video's, trailers, little clips and clues, it's amazing. I can't tell you how excited I am for Ascension to come out, because I'm so ingrained with Zombies. I love the Easter Eggs, and the community that has come together to share the information, the amazing back story, knowing there's a radio invisible w/o a sniper that you shoot and it reveals information, it's just incredible. The amount of effort, Easter eggs, and work involved in the Zombie gametype is AMAZING. It's always funny playing with a pub "newb" who doesn't know who Sam is. I take this game seriously, I plan to play for hours straight, you better be on board, don't rage quit, follow the plan, and no problems! If I have to let you die, I will, doesn't matter if I revive you if we all die. If you mess up the plan, then I def will not go out of my way to get you. Also, you better have a mic. This is a Co.operative game that REQUIRES a MIC to play correctly. All you need is a simple phone handsfree headset, most new phones come with one, they are like $5 at most, no need to buy a "super expensive" Microsoft One, or the Uber 1337 Turtle Beaches, etc...just a crappy $5 mic and now we can play properly! One thing I am SOO pissed about, is that I didn't get a hardened or prestige version. The hardened edition can be found, rarely, but when it is the DLC is always used. If you go on ebay, the DLC is selling for around $50, damn. I am FINE paying 1200 points for the first map pack, Treyarch needs to release the other maps for download. I'll pay a grand or two in MS Points, but $50 to get the DLC is insane. This seems like a great community, dedicated to something I love: Call of Duty Zombies
