  1. The rockets shown in the Ascension loading screen can't be the Moon rockets because of one problem: transportation. How do you get three ballistic missiles up to the Moon, and install them? Even with the American-made MTD in Area 51, it would be rather difficult to transport such rockets. And to what extent would the Soviets be working alongside the Americans as to place rockets on the moon?
  2. You could always ride the elevators down to the floor level or open a barricade up. It's not really a glitch, just a problematic mechanic of the Jumping Jack trying to jump over the whole area and falling down. :P
  3. So you're saying that because everything seems to be getting sucked into the vortex, that the structures and perk machines (along with anything else) could have been distributed to certain areas over time and space, bagel? Considering that the vortex is a distortion of either time or space, then I'd say that it's very plausible! :)
  4. I'm fairly certain that it's midnight. If not, you should expect it around 2am (PST).
  5. The perks wouldn't travel with the O4 possibly due to redundancy, or because the area in which the teleportation field encompasses is to the exact limits/dimensions of the temple. This can be seen in the Moon loading screen. When the Shangri-la Easter Egg is finished, we actually leave off at Richtofen obtaining the Focusing Stone on his shrine near the top of the temple. The task has been completed and the temple begins to be sucked into the time distortion vortex seen on Shangri-la's loading screen. And what could have teleported alongside the temple? Our O4 and the Pack-a-Punch machine.

  7. Welcome to the forum, friendo! I'm glad that you went straight for the zombies - while it may not seem like it, that shows some dedication, haha. You'll find tons of people -if not all - that share the same love for zombies, and I'm quite certain you'll also find secrets and aspects that you've never encountered before. Ooh, so many surprises! Enjoy your stay, find some people to slay freakbags with, and become a part of our lively discussion. Happy slaying! :)
  8. Welcome to the forum, friendo! You've come just in time; we have a very recent thread that you may want to take a gander at: viewtopic.php?f=103&t=29340
  9. We are oversensitive for simply asking the public to coin a different term for training, yet you are outraged enough to call us out insultingly? You don't see irony like that everyday. And yes, I'm quite sure that us trying to fix a name for a video game is the reason why "this country" is wrong. Might I add that a good amount of users here aren't from America. If you have nothing nice to say, then simply don't say anything. I understand you disagree, but an attitude like that isn't very...professional.
  10. I assumed that there was a division between zombie and Gas Zombie though? I could've sworn that something other object or person was directly involved in the mutation. I may be 200% wrong, but I could've sworn there was a theory regarding it. Thank you for clarifying!
  11. Jumping Jacks are mutations of Phaser Zombies which are mutations of Nova 6 Crawlers which are mutations of ???. We could say that ??? are the Vril-ya, as they are quite similar to the zombies found in Shangri-la. @Scoldon: So you are relating the 115 inside the Ray Gun to the Jumping Jacks which may be similar to what's in Who's Who? Hm, quite a different perspective of things. Nice observation, friendo! We can't determine the workings exactly of Who's Who, and we can't fully determine if 115 is truly involved in the mutation of Jumping Jacks. Something else caused them to mutate. Evolution? A new element/catalyst? The liquid in the Sliquifier looks more similar to the mist when Jumping Jacks move from place to place. Something else is involved in the process.
  12. Nice little tidbit of information, friendo! As far as most of us are concerned, there appears to be no traces of such weaponry in Shanghai. It's not to say that we will never come across any evidence of it, but we have not encountered anything in relation to psychotronic weapons. Most of the people that were once living on Earth are more than likely dead already. Once Richtofen restores the Earth, I don't think he'd want more zombies; rather, a cult to worship him. @zombo: MMX and I actually discussed it last night regarding Turned's concept into the storyline. I'd rather much save it for a different discussion (as to not derail from the original topic at hand), but we said that Richtofen is toying with the zombies as to confirm he has the power of resurrection. The V-R11 is similar to this, so yes - you are correct on that part. I wouldn't call it a reincarnation of the weapon but rather a similar object in which comes in the form of a drop. Hence, zombies come back to life as humans, only to do one thing: survive. The cycle repeats to the point where it is infinite. I mean, Richtofen has to have fun when he's not busy with the Side Quests. But it does further prove to what extent his power can go to. In this case, resurrection that is the same in the Die Rise cutscene.
  13. Welcome to the forum, friendo! It's alright if you're not the cream of the crop - in fact, I'm anywhere but good myself. Believe me when I say that there are more topics on the storyline than there are members. So much juicy information waiting to be read and discussed, but so little time. We'd love to hear your theories and ideas concerning everything zombies! Happy slaying, and don't forget to enjoy your stay. :)
  14. +1 is a reference to our old brains system. This was a reputation system in which users could give one another reputation points - or brains - to signify a good post/thread. Since the system broke and has not been replaced, many of us resorted to saying +1 as recognition for giving brains if we had the option again. Medals work based on meeting certain criteria. 15. Give it time, friendo. An hour is literally nothing compared to what most people end up with. I don't think it would be smart to have all the maps ever into one game. Black Ops only got away with it because there were various changes to the old maps, such as weapon selection, mechanics, Easter Eggs (back when they were very minuscule), and nostalgia. Plus, I'm not too sure if Black Ops II could support 16 maps - given that we receive five in this game - all in one sitting. It would be pointless to go back to Black Ops and World at War if that were the case. Having a map editor won't be the case. It's much too difficult to maintain, and would probably be very simplistic and unoriginal even if it were implemented. PC can do it because...well, it's PC.
  16. Galil is all-around the best AR in the whole game, if not the best overall weapon that is no a Wonder Weapon. Large firepower, excellent magazine size, concentrated accuracy control, made for mobility, and exceptional rate of fire? Even if you're working hordes beyond Round 30, the Galil will not fail you so long as you're punching some heads off freakbags - and that's un-Pack-a-Punch'ed! The AN-94 is a very nice weapon as well, and makes up its rate of fire for a large clip size and firepower. You'll really need to focus on headshots, however, if you plan on surviving with a gun like this. It also should be used when in large areas since it's not exactly a lifessaver. The MTAR is okay, but lacks greatly in damage. It's good for a set amount of rounds, but shouldn't be heavily relied on if you plan on getting into the higher rounds. If you manage to get a hold of it, it's wise to use your shots sparingly.
  17. I'm taking into large consideration of what MMX said (a great explanation and fresh perspective, friendo), and I can't stop thinking that it may be possible the Pack-a-Punch machine teleports with us to Area 51? I now it's incredulous and pretty far out there to think of, but it's just another small perspective placed onto the table.
  18. Not necessarily two, but one whole new one where the original did not exist anymore. To make better understanding of this, understand that everyone that occurred beyond Moon would be eliminated. This is difficult now because we are quite hesitant on determining Moon's true time and date, but let's say that it is in the 1970's. The missiles hit Earth and now Call of the Dead/Shangri-la never occur. But beforehand, it did. So we had the original timeline, and then it was soon altered because we affected the future via the missiles.
  19. What pictures? The OP is relating certain elements from the zombies map into what could be the rift mentioned in the Die Rise intro. We see particular traits that Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies all share that could make them very well linked (which they already are). This rift, as he is saying, is separated at the moment and may need to be repaired so everything can fall back into line as it was in Black Ops and World at War.
  20. That'a friendo, bagel. Looks like you brought a new perspective on the table. While gravity may not be altered since we still act as if normal gravity is present, I would like to mentions that a few pieces of concrete (no matter how monolithic) could possible hold half of an entire structure in that manner. I understand that you are seeing as if you cut a quadrilateral all the way to one edge so that the the edge is holding the top piece despite it being bent in a different vertical manner. The structure of a tower could not hold such a thing, and may rest against the edge of another building if and only if there is either extremely durable support against its edge or a stable platform holding it underneath. Nevertheless, you out-ruled the floating perspective well enough. Kudos!
  21. Here is some information regarding the locations for the maps, with Die Rise being the newest addition: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=11967 I apologize for not expanding myself more, but writing from a phone is not as easy at it sounds. :(
  22. *MMN This is absolutely wonderful, Mix. I know we've done tons of extensive research back then on Moon's connection to the storyline and top-secret government affairs (the pyramid, cancellation of research due to conspiracy, etc.), but this goes into greater depth of it. I love seeing your work, friendo - it's theories like this that get me so revved up on researching material myself! If I may, I will see if I can find you anything else related to this. Absolutely brilliant work! :D
  23. I assumed that we were just extremely high up in the air and that the ground was covered in a very dense fog so we could not see it. But when I think about it, you may be right. If you are near the Ak74-u area outside, look underneath the Buddha Room and you'll notice satellites underneath the building. Satellite receptors can't hold up a whole toppled building, now can they? Great little spark of observation, friendo! :)
  24. Chemical mixtures and compounds including 115 create a liquid which acts as an acidic base, or vice-versa. I understand that people will not accept the idea of the liquid being considered to that of a detergent, but bear with me for a moment here. Acid with an extremely low pH scale (close to zero) are very acidic in nature, and will deteriorate/consume the material. They are more commonly known to be corrosive in nature, coming into contact with a corrosive acid will cause detrimental effects upon touch. A base - specifically a strong base - is more caustic, and will create violent reactions with organic matter with acidic substances. Imagine if that superbase combines with corrosive acid. What do you get? A mixture that can cause deterioration to extreme levels. When the Sliquifier shoots at zombies, they begin to quickly "steam" from the burning of zombie flesh. The corrosive characteristic of the acid and caustic aspect of the base readily damage the skin because zombies still maintain some organic matter in their tissue [the flesh is not fully deteriorated yet]. Soon, the mixture of acid and base becomes too much, and reaches through the internal components of their body (including what organs left, stomach acid, etc.). The result is an implosion of the zombie. While the harmful mixture is dangerous, it does not affect other areas such as the floor because their is technically no organic material. Ergo, the mixture remains on the floor but acts more as a base since acids will attempt to eat up the said material but fail, leaving the superbase to act as...well, a soapy substance.
