  1. I get cocky with nukes. In my mind, I'm making an epic dive towards the last hope for humanity on a high round with several dead players watching me as I heroically attempt to snatchthe drop through hordes of the undead. In reality, I dive right into a mosh pit of zombies and die before I touch the ground.
  2. Welcome back friendo! As Rissole has said, we can help you recover your old account. Wouldn't want you to lose everything you had before if we have the chance to get it back.
  3. Welcome to the family, friendo! Have you ever had green eggs and ham? They taste absolutely delicious actually (well, it's just food coloring really). Enjoy your stay, and keep slayin'!

GRILL I LOVE CCR. The fact you had it as your sig only made me like you more haha.

  5. Bottom of the courthouse has always been my best chokehold point. In the event that shit hits the fan, at least I have room to circle around a few times. And if anything goes absolutely nuts that may end my game for good, I enjoy using the Paralyzer to hover me to safety (or just open the front door). Like others have said, Subsurface Resonator + Turbine in the Abandoned Room/Courthouse is a perfect combination. The Trample Steam helps to a certain degree if you're holding out in a spot like the Jugg alley. If you absolutely need it, then build it in the Saloon. For maximum results with the SubRes, place in between the seats (which is the usual spot). You could also place it facing the stairs but not entirely against it, which leaves you to control the one back room.
  6. By all means. It should also be noted that two entities use two different forms of energy - electricity and Element 115. Maxis resides as well in the Aether - and the MPD - but does not hold the same position as Richtofen did. Thus, he was quite incapable of controlling anything like Gersh when he was initially trapped in Ascension. In fact, it's almost the exact scenario. His soul is essentially the mainframe of Griffin Station where he can only communicate to others via electrical devices. By obtaining electrical power with such a massive magnitude, it is possible that he could reverse engineer the effects of the M.P.D. thus switching the roles between him and Richtofen. Then, poor little Edward would be bound to the powerless section of the Aether, only to be tormented by Maxis eternally but never dead. Richtofen, however, used Element 115 purely for power. It's an obvious choice, and Samantha points out on Moon that killing the zombies only increases his power. This is why it would have taken a good while to "heal" the Earth; he would have waited for others to kill the endless horde of undead, thus constantly supplying him power. Just as you said, the towers would amplify the energy obtained from Element 115 directly to him. More power equals larger abilities equals powerful ruler of the Aether.
  7. Interesting connection, friendo! I was always an advocate for the towers being energy transfer devices that would channel said energy to its corresponding receptor (in this case, the MPD). A simple concept that is thoroughly explained...that is what I love to read. A little tidbit on the further explanation of the NavCard (if you don't mind): The setup for the NavCard table also illustrates how this process is working. A 115 meteorite is what helps amplify the tower; you could even call it the primary energy source. Recall that Element 115 has unnatural properties, specifically electrically. The rock allows the amplification process to increase to the point where it can channel power as a conglomerate with other towers, all transferring the energy towards the receiving point or the M.P.D. The radio/transistor helps for global navigating to lock precision on accompanying towers that are connected online as well. The tower structures themselves are just satellite dishes which house the energy being derived where as the table setup is the initial power house for it.
  8. Disappointment didn't come in until I actually played through all of Origins for the next few days. The most common complaints I hear about Origins (aside the story and Side Quest) are: - Giants being a nuisance - Tank glitches - Mud everywhere - Process of setting up generators When I first played, my only concern was having the Ballista as one of the first wall weapons. Who thought a Ballista would ever be a good weapon in Zombies?
  9. Welcome back to the family, friendo! Ah, congrats on the new addition coming along the way! I may not have a kid but I do know the responsibilities, so I totally understand how time-consuming it is. You should be able to get all your Zombies data back without having to pay for them again. (Of course, you probably already knew that.) It's off-season now, so there will always be people looking to play with anyone. Enjoy your stay!
  10. Really? I've seen four keys initially when dropping down the lobby elevator. As far as respawning goes, I've never actually seen them reappear. Maybe it's because the only way to get back if via Trample Steam (if you took the elevator)?
  11. I'm a bit unsure of all that, Craig. I love that every member will be welcomed on the spot, but having an alert that sits for an hour alongside and email followed by a PM and introduction post is rather excessive. An email and PM should suffice (plus, I've encountered it countless times on several boards and it held no consequence for me). The email could be a confirmation that the person registered successfully on CoDz while the PM gives important links to help a new member out. I'm confident our armada of blood-thirsty slayers give warm welcomes.
  12. People don't understand the brilliance of the Lightning Staff. Like you said Beast, the average slayer looks to the most common weapon used by high-round runners and mimics it. When I hop into a ranodm match of Origins, the Ice and Fire Staves are usually the first to be claimed with the Wind and Lightning left at the mercy of some poor unfortunate soul. Luckily for me, I am that "poor unfortunate soul" to grab the Lightning Staff. 9/10 times will the others go down with me being the lone survivor of the round, still 100+ ammo in my staff. The magazine size plus power should be good enough to consider it the best survival weapon. The Ice Staff may hold tremendous damage when charged, but that's only if: - the staff is upgraded - the area you're in is perfect for charged shots - there is enough ammo for a solid charge - the timing is correct to avoid slowed zombies attacking you The Lightning, however, avoids all those rules without that use of a charged shot. Even if you let one loose, it's not costing you an arm or leg. Plus, it makes for a great weapon against the Panzer Soldat. Two or three shots into the face and voila - you've got a defeated Panzer by your feet. Should I also mention how easy it is to upgrade the Lightning Staff? It may be a longer process than the Ice Staff, but it's not more complex.
  13. Welcome to the community friendo! As way said before, we're not fond of people advertising their YouTube in a post while asking for subscribes/views/likes. Enjoy your stay while here, and keep on slayin'.
  14. If you (or anyone) sends me records of them, then I can add said challenge leaderboards.
  15. Player B sounds like the right guy for the title, but it's hard to say. When everyone is contributing in some fashion, it's easier to say that they were all great players in their own line of duty. Calling out orders doesn't make you the superior slayer, but neither does sacrificing yourself every time to get a revive in. The best player is someone who is very efficient in a certain task and can do it successfully without screwing anyone else up in the process. It's especially true considering that this is Multiplayer we're talking about.
  16. On Moon as well, I was running around with the excavators going off in Tunnel 6. I was getting overswamped near the spawn so I rushed into the area. Who decides to appear right as I exit through the MPL area? Mr. Astro Zombie. I managed to dive away, but right into an excavator nearby...whoops.
  17. Welcome to the family, friendo! It's good to have someone who has your back. That, in my eyes, is a true characteristic of a good teammate. And a PS3 player as well? Double the gold for ye, lucky lad! Enjoy your stay!
  18. Ironically enough Dahniska, MMX touched upon this subject almost an entire year ago in a topic awfully close to this one. If it's created with 115 in such a way that is considered a phenomenon beyond the realm of physics, I would consider it. But then wouldn't Pack-a-Punched weapon be classified as a "Wonder Weapon" with that definition? Take the Krauss Refribrillator for example - it's not a Wonder Weapon but revives people by shooting a ballistic knife at them.
  19. Welcome to the family, friendo! We're starting to get more PS3 players....wunderwa! When (and if I ever) hop onto the PS3, I'll add you. Nothing says fun like killing meatsacks with new people.
  20. I like the idea of the Leaderboards being centralized towards our faithful members. I can honestly say that I have good faith in our own kin for their round claims so long as they submit some kind of proof. Does an image or short video justify a world record? No, because (as said before) a livestream via Twitch is the only acceptable candidate that record holders and the record community has put their faith into. They are very much welcome to join the community and post their records onto our leaderboards (with the necessary proof of course). But as far as making us the "better Zombies leaderboard", it's really hard to justify that when good points - from Mega, Chopper, Boom - have arisen that could somewhat hurt us. As much as income would benefit us, we've been maintaining the "no ad" policy for a good reason. To initiate advertisements on the frontpage is to go against that ideal. Not really my choice, or yours, or anyone else's but the request of the owner of CoDz - that is, carbonfibah. The only way I can see income in this kind of deal is by introducing Chopper's Challenge System where you pay a small one-time fee to enter a competition that includes specific match challenges (i.e. first room, no powers, no perks, etc.). There is a possibility that a world record could be made - or broken - in that scenario. Based on how many competitors enter, prizes can be given and any excess would be profit to help sustain not only future competitions but CoDz itself. (Kinda strayed off course on this point, but the focus is that we can't allow ads on CoDz because that is the "divine rule" set by carbon. That being said, others means related to Leaderboards in some way has to be made.) Nevertheless, the Leaderboards we have, if fully maximized, can gain serious attention beyond our own reach of the entire Zombies community. It would take a great deal of work if we pursued it seriously. Even if we restricted it to our own members with good intentions (no world records being transferred into ours unless made by one of our own), we could create smaller divisions of the Leaderboards as Cheesegrater suggested. That way, you're giving more options to potential record holders in given challenges. Der Riese - No Power Challenge Name Round Console Image/Video ikillzombies420errday 43 Xbox 360 Very rough, but something to that effect. In the Leaderboards page, there would be separate, smaller leaderboard blocks containing the stats for the challenges. For example, you have the main Leaderboard table for the highest round in Der Riese. Below that table are two smaller tables - one for First Room Challenge, and one for No Power.
  21. Not a problem at all. Each score would be manually reviewed by staff before they are entered into the Leaderboards. Proof would need to be submitted, preferably by some short video clip or image link. I can definitely implement it. In the meantime, if anyone has scores to send in now, please message me with the following information:
  22. http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/frontpage/maps/black-ops-2/great-leap-forward/leaderboards.php We do have Leaderboards that no one has bothered to submit scores to.
  23. Well, in any given map, there is at least one solid camping spot. There are a good amount of factors that affect camping, such as the weaponry in that map, any bosses that can hinder it, the structure/layout of the area, etc etc. In World at War, you had two maps that could not deal with training much. Thus, your only viable option was to hold out in a secluded area with your back against the wall. Ol' fashioned camping. Then Shi No Numa rolled around and training began to popularize. Since then, maps were being made to allow training with a few obstacles that would make it more difficult. One of those involves random spawning without barricades. If you say that you can't find good camping locations, then you're just not looking hard enough - or only in the most obvious locations. Tranzit - Town's buildings, Power Room lava pit, Bus Depot spawn room (with first electric door opened) Nuketown - House top stairs, Garage near mint house Die Rise - sweatshop w/ back door closed, Dragon Rooftops near Nav Card table, Buddha Room on second level catwalk Mob of the Dead - Gondola (either path), room below rooftop (where Beast spawns), showers in the laundry cage Buried - Juggernog alley, Courthouse (with bottom unopened), upper tunnels against unopened barricades, [too many to count actually] Origins - upper church floor, Excavation Site deck (path to second Lightning Staff piece), Excavation Site staff room
  24. Welcome back to the family, friendo! I was around but sadly didn't engage in conversations as much as I do now. Either way, it's good for you to return, and we have a great deal of new stuff implemented since you were last here.
  25. Welcome to the family, friendo! So it seems you're a seasoned player, eh? I'm sure you'll find tons of fellow slayers to tackle the horde with.
