  1. not sure if this sort of thing requires a thread. maybe just use the status update feature, or maybe in the teammate finder section...
  2. i understand the concern for "world record" players with those kinds of aspirations, but for the little guys like me this could be a way to have a little more fun with it before my certain demise. The fact that this is really only gamebreaking to maybe .01% of zombies players makes me really doubt this would get fixed. I mean if you think about it, what percent of games of origins overall do you think even get all 4 staffs built, much less upgraded? 25% maybe? Anyway this is far less important of a glitch than the ones which involve getting into a spot where the zombies can't hurt you

      you guys are awesome :)

  4. Um, really? Glitches are the main reason solo players die. Screen blanks as if stepped on or run over by tank. Tank isn't moving, not near footprint. That's a common glitch. Fully charged (any) staff: release trigger, didn't fire, keeps making charging sound. Extremely common glitch leads to death. Round 2 zombie takes 8 chest shots, 3 stabs and then gets a second hit on you because you are now backed into the corner due to common glitch. I ran a 100 game test before origins came out. 53 games (53%) ended as a direct result of programming error/bug. Origins came out, ran 50 games of origins, 32 (64%) ended as a direct result of bugs/programming errors. I've noticed from your posts that you often seem to not run into these issues. Making you the luckiest poster on these boards. Side note: while i do personally like bo2 zombies better than bo1, above I was really dissing the awful bo1 cod mp, being the worst cod to date (i think even mw3 was better, but accept that it was also really bad). No offense meant at all, but your comment was far removed from reality. Yeah, I feel like maybe you are the unluckiest, or maybe you have some legit system issues? I mean i really have never come accross a zombies glitch other than the little "zombie can't hit you " places that cheaters use sometimes. Nothing in solo for sure, but lag becomes an issue sometimes in multiplayer zombs. I feel like i disagree with you a lot, which is nothing personal just like you said lol, just seem to have had very different experiences. And bo1 MP is certainly not the best, but I can't put it behind mw3 on my list. i hated mw3 with every fiber of my being lol
  5. cheers to the weekend my fellow zombie slayers!

  6. I think Technics was meaning they can't f*ck up or there will be no excuses, not that they can't f*ck up in general. I think we all know that they obviously CAN mess up the game mode. They pretty much did with BO2. This is all very flawed thinking. Just having extra time doesn't mean anything. they're going to make the game, and we;re going to buy it. Then we'll all druel over the things we like, and bitch about the things we don't. rinse repeat for every cod release lol
  7. i'm sorry, but blaming glitches for going down is just too much lol. at least in solo anyway. in MP if you have a crappy host i can see it then
  8. Problem with this is that there are thousands upon thousands (probably 100's of thousands) of people who buy the game but don't buy any dlc. There really are people that are practically unaware of the storyline as well. Tons of people have never completed any of the easter eggs. And Richtofen and Maxis weren't even playable characters in the on disc map on BO2. This is another type of zombies only game or zombies only dlc situation, where it doesnt make any sense to market preorders based on zombies characters when so much of the community doesnt particularly care about zombies
  9. i like to just kinda go along with whatever the strategy is for the group (even if i know its a bad strategy lol) and just see how far i can help the randoms i play with along. If i'm playing with my normal friends, i don't really have much of a goal other than not going down lol
  10. Thanks IL, i was actually aware of that, but 1, i never seem to have issues with this, I'm just trying to help others understand that they usually just have to wait a second or two for it to power back up, and 2, i have worse luck dropping it up top by the ak74u, for no reason that i can discern. It seems that if i drop it there or even stand up top and drop it below, it always goes away on me. No idea why that method hates me. Ha. Ha I never thought about that. I played tranzit solo a couple of times and never could get to pack-a-punch, but i forgot about the "down time" that happens to the turbine from time to time... may have to give it another shot (albeit grudgingly) and see if i can get past 20 whatever lol . Thanks for the tips 83457 and infest!
  11. Wow I really disagree with your view on 3arc MP, but i definitely agree with you on zombies. Ghosts MP was fun for about 10 days. now its all gillie suits and incognito perk and sitting in shady corners sniping anyone who runs anywhere. i've had team deathmatch games with scores of like 20-15. although i don't like nuketown either, most of 3arc's maps are a medium size in between and the actual gameplay of the BO2 multiplayer is loads better than any Infinity Ward game's mp. zombies wise though, i see it two ways. On one hand it will give them more time to develop, so everything should be way more polished and more glitch-free. On the other hand our expectations will likely be so extremely high, we more than likely will be let down at least a little.
  12. confused by everyone saying origins is so broken?!?! I've played a ton of origins since it was released and have really never had any issues? maybe i just don't use the features that don't work right. That said Origins is my favorite, although it is about the most annoying one to play with randoms because of the staff distribution arguments... Its just beautiful, and it is really difficult too Mob would be next for me barely beating out die rise Then Nuketown then Buried (only because buried is just way too easy and bores me) then somewhere down around broccoli and hip hop music on the things i hate list is Tranzit
  13. That's exactly what I was thinking. Interesting since zombies is a game where being idle really isn't really common lol
  14. in black ops 1 i'm pretty sure it wasa entirely dependent on the round. it's a little more complicated in BO2 with the occurence of respawns if you run to far away from a zombie and what not. Needless to say there's no simple answer for that, but i would refer you to this for Black Ops 1 From Duckcall00's awesome thread - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/137395-zombie-charts/?hl=%2Bzombie+%2Bchart
  15. I have to say I disagree with 83457 on origins being too tedious. I guess in some ways it is, but the way i look at it is the zombies crew were committed to this format of building things/completing tasks being the focal point with the zombies as a hindrance along the way, and as far as that is concerned i think Origins did about as good as you can do. I think why Der Reise is so popular (or at least part of why) is because it is a perfect mix of simplicity and complexity. The problem is, at this point all zombie players are expecting a complex easter egg side quest to figure out, and therein lies the problem. You could make a map equal in concept to Der Reise and the community would cry foul because there's no side quest. By bringing the side quests to the forefront, it kind of forced the developers away from a medium sized simpler map like der reise. Us hardcore players would love it, but just based on the experiences i've had with random lobbies and everyone wanting to "do the easter egg" I think that it wouldn't go over that well. Maybe you could some how squeeze a sidequest into a map like that but i'd be skeptical. personally i very much wish the side quests were way more "off the beaten path" like the ascension one
  16. Better and worse is part of my issue. What makes something define-ably better or worse? Something might be quicker, but when I'm talking and basing this of a fun factor, faster doesn't make it more fun, hence 'better'. i think by "better or worse" he didn't mean a right and wrong,, but more as in more effective/less effective there obviously are so many different ways to play I don't think there's any one way that is best. I often will play with randoms and use a weapon i wouldn't normally use if i were going for solo high rounds or what not. The most fun way for me is to just go with the flow of the game and take what the game gives me. let each and every game be a new experience, that way i don't get bored
  17. I know less about the story line than a lot of you guys, but one of the really strange things to me is the fact that we know by the cutscenes that this is 1918, yet Samantha still knows the name of Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Edward. All of which were presumably somewhere in their 40s - 50s in WaW timeline (1943-1945 ish) I suppose it's possible, but what I feel is more likely is something akin to Mob of the Dead, where it is kind of its own story, and not totally canon, yet has some pieces and clues that further heighten our understanding of the overall story line. I'm certainly not counting out the alternative, so it will be pretty interesting to see where the next game takes it If it does end up being kind of a stand alone story, I love the possibilities, because eventually there will only be so much they can add to the original story line, that the ability to make really good stand alone story maps is a real strength for the franchise
  18. definitely rounds. case in point a few posts back someone claimed that to preserve k/d they would never go past about round 15 because of the risk of going down, and were confused why they never ranked up. I'm pretty sure jimmy z already cleared this up, its avoiding downs in early rounds, and reaching high rounds whilst getting lots of kills. jimmy z also alluded much much earlier that it was a "trail of breadcrumbs" if you will meaning its a picture of your most recent performances as opposed to your overall body of work. hence someone with a lot of overall downs could play well and reach max rank still. obviously nothing is confirmed as fact, and it seems there are many different ways to skin this cat so to speak
  19. trying to keep the story out of it The point is, if you've seen the camo in game, it is undeniable how its related. It's literally an exact copy of the origins camo with a tweaked hue of color.
  20. Oh yeah, I rarely speak when i play zombies but i do have my mic on for a couple reasons, like dinobot said, i will ask where someone is down so i can at least try to go revive them, and or to ask if they want X door opened. but for 98% of the time i mute my mic and just roll with it. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to just shoot the breeze while playing, but on most maps, it's undeniable that it can only help to have a means of communicating with your teammates. All i can go by is experience, and an overwhelming amount of games i play with randoms without mics end with everybody quitting. Although if any of you guys would like to play a micless game, I am confident we'd go a lot better than that!!
  21. Wow. i personally have never noticed anything like that happening. I think far too often in the heat of the moment think we've done something in time or aimed correctly and it just isn't, but we are trained to think that we are infallible. I mean there have been some glitches like areas of the map where zombies can't reach, things like the slides on die rise, but i haven't ever noticed it with the sliquifier. if You've already been slapped 3 times before firing the sliquifier, youre fate has probably already been sealed
  22. Thanks Naitrax ole buddy ole pal! Yeah it looks really good. I'm excited. I love the green color now. almost wish we could choose other ones!! lol
  23. Nice! Yeah, in fact I almost like the Green hue better because it kinda separates it from the zombies side of things while keeping the whole iridescent "glowing" type of look. Does anyone have a screen shot of the scorpion with the Origins PaP skin to compare? Just curious to see a side by side comparison
  24. unless they decided to alter their strategy based on the fact that not as many people are playing ghosts compared to BO2 than they might have originally expected. It might be a paradigm shift altogether in activisions strategy. Of course they aren't just going to abandon ship with ghosts, but if there's a market for BO2 dlc that could possibly pad the bottom line, then they'd likely at least discuss it
  25. right but it wouldn't have anything to do with call of duty zombies. just basically a totally different game. like dead island with a online component, but on a larger scale
