I don't believe the easter egg is done yet...
The Clay Bird replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in The Giant
All these quotes people keep coming up with from the giant are not indicators of further steps in an easter egg, but are simply laying the foundation for the jumping off point of the story for the DLC season. That is all -
is this 100% confirmed? i havent' used dr monty's since the update. and if so is it only useable immediately after rolling, or can I go to my inventory and burn the 13 pop-shocks gums i have lol

One thing that might lend some credence to the "Iron Kite" theory, is I believe @MixMasterNut on twitter I saw suggesting the "space ice" image from the moon loading screen might relate to the rocket we can see in the Der Eisendrachen screenshot from the poster. A kite flies in the air, a rocket flies in the air. A rocket could be an "iron kite" It would also possibly set us up to return to the moon in future DLC as well. So perhaps it is even a dual meaning on purpose :)

DBZ and I have been in quite a spat with the folks over on /r/codzombies who are defending the glitch spot with all thier might, and try to explain that it is not cheating. People these days suck man.... I will and always have reported every player I come across who is using an exploit, no matter what their motivation is for doing so, and I'd encourage everyone else to do the same. And nothing wrong with a bit of reverse trolling as well like you did there! :)

Jessica Rose - Pick up Pen - Pick a lock with this?
The Clay Bird replied to Slub77's topic in Shadows of Evil
The only thing that would sway me against this is that they use it in conjuncion with the summoning "key" so maybe its just a reference to use it with the summoning key to "pick a lock" so to speak -
Show me where I said anything about the location of the question marks. Show me der riese WaW loading screen and tell me how in god's name the question marks are any different from the Giant loading screen. I'm pointing out a flaw in your posting that will help you avoid arguments later on by not saying someone is wrong, without any actual basis for the claim. You can't just make stuff up and then say i or anyone else is wrong based on imaginary stuff
-
this is what i posted: Those question marks have been on the loading screen since original der riese in World at War. Pretty sure it's nothing of any consequence since nothing has been found in 6+ years what in that statement was "wrong" ? i didnt' intend on getting in an argument in this thread, but you can't just go around calling people wrong when there is no basis for that claim
-
i meant I am respectfully disagreeing. But it was erroneous of you to say i was wrong. I posted nothing that was not 100% fact. The question marks have been there in every iteration of the map. It is my opinion that they are of no consequence to us whatsoever
-
respectfully agree to disagree. And what in what i posted was "wrong" ? the question marks were there in Waw like i supossed, right? just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean they are wrong

Finally gave this an honest solo run since i have pretty much figured out all the ins and outs, and did a round 47 run! top 7000 on the leaderboardf currently and it only took about 3 hours in game time :)

How to upgrade the Apothican Servant legit?
The Clay Bird replied to steviewonder87's topic in Shadows of Evil
So just a couple of thoughts for Mr. Blundell and his team (I haven't made any progress on this, or even ever built the WW for that matter) I am really psyched that the game has been out a month and not everything has been solved. That kind of longevity is fun and exciting. Props to them for making things so cryptic and difficult. HOWEVER. This kind of complexity of puzzles should be reserved for a multi-step optional side quest only. Not to perform a crucial in game mechanic like upgrading a gun. I blame this on the popularity of the staves in Origins. Its like they felt they had to top that in terms of upgrading complexity. So for the DLC maps, if you have any heart at all, please make the core game mechanics simpler to achieve so that non EE hunters can just play a game of zombies, but also please continue to include this level of complexity for the main EE side quest rant over -
It is a great map, and it really highlights what made zombies so popular, in its simplicity and balance. The Blundell maps have completely lost the simplicity of zombies, and while people like the easter eggs, It would EASILY be possible to make a map that at its core is as simple as der riese, but also include a complex side quest, and little easter eggs
-
I'm not sure if i follow you logic on that last part, as the faster more aggressive zombies are a lot tougher in my opinion. I agree I have no idea why they would change it when it wasn't a problem before hand. I havent' played any SOE since the patch, but that im sure is a nightmare for casuals with the verruckt-speed sprinters And about the WW, i thought it was confirmed that it did the crawler thing only when you had another gun re-packed with Dead Wire? So i don't know if that wqas fixed, but if you ever are getting the WW crawler glitch just repack you other weapons to something other than deadwire

I think im on to something with free perks
The Clay Bird replied to Phat130y69ps4's topic in The Giant
What i'd really like to know is if there is any concrete data from the pc files to show how often this can occur? Like with duckcall's zombie charts from BO1 it was proven that it was statistically impossible to spawn a powerup from teleporting after round 34 because of the coding and RNG -
the problem is that they created the expectations with the cinematic cut scene that they debuted at comic-con that made it appear that the Giant would have integral story points to it presumably played out in a full on EE side quest, and now that that hasn't materialized lots of people are disappinted. I mean seriously, show Richtofen killing a different version of himself, and then don't develop that plot at all?? That is just strange as all get out
-
Yes. This this this this please Based Blundell read this. I LOVE the easter eggs in zombies, but the EE's need to not be required to play the maps successfully
-
I love it along side Shadows of Evil. If my friends and I want to drink a bunch of beers and talk and goof off while still playing a good round of zombies we can play the Giant, if we want to focus and try for a good run on SoE we can do that too. It makes for good variety. The way zombie health increased exponentially, the effectiveness is still capping out around 40+ so its not like people will camp the catwalk into the 50s and 60s like you could on Buried. I agree with you, I love it. I really hope the DLC season includes some new repack ammo types too i think that would be a blasst

How to upgrade the Apothican Servant legit?
The Clay Bird replied to steviewonder87's topic in Shadows of Evil
IIRC (and i could be wrong) the golden spork or the Hell's redeemer one of the two weren't discovered until at least a week or two after the release. I remember it specifically because it stuck out in my mind how long the map had been out and a new secret discovered., Of course i'm so garbage at SoE still that i haven't even made the original Apothecan Servant, so i'm no help in figuring out an upgrade lol -
Not even necessarily that simple, just something along the lines of Moon. Moon was almost perfect, in that you could play the map effectively even if you didn't know the Easter egg existed! Yet, the easter egg was complex and difficult enough to be rewarding and the reward significantly increased your power as well. My only gripe was the "teamwork needed to go to pack-a-punch" part of playing co-op, but that is the formula they need to get back to to make another universally loved map.
-
Agree to disagree i suppose. Obviously we are all zombie enthusiasts here who spend a ton of time playing, but I can assure you for other more casual zombie players such as my friends, it is a quite steep learning curve. so far I've basically had to assign one specific ritual to each of my friends because they are having trouble even remembering one, much less 4.

I'm not saying it couldn't work, but as it stands, the avoidance of zombies has been a 2 dimensional task, it would certainly be challenging for them to develop a water portion of a map and zomie ai for that portion that would be balanced in terms of difficulty. Not saying they couldn't do it, just that it would be a challenge

reddit.com 's /r/codzombies
Where you get downvoted to hell for defending 3arc/atvi for removing the Swastika symbol from Der Riese because it is an offensive symbol to many lol.
-
It seems like the wall running is in there just for its' own sake, not for any particular reason other than to show "hey this cod has wall running" If they implemented in a way that made sense, i guess it would be ok, but otherwise i'm pretty against it. Underwater might work if used in moderation. dont see how that would work as far as zombies AI and not making it be impossible lol
-
how is it easier than literally "pushing x" ? like if i didn't check this site or watch youtube videos i simply wouldn't even know Nero's room existed. I mean some of the Mob of the dead parts i probably could have figured out, but the learning curve is just so damn high that its not even fun to play without playing with people who are already experts at the map. that'[s the problem
