  1. Since the release of The Giant trailer, the community has debated the "Test Subjects:" who they are, where they are, and why they are of interest. Takeo's first words to the Richtofen we encountered in The Giant trailer, "the future hangs by a thread: you must awaken the test subjects" gave the phrase buzzword status, and with the release of The Giant, "awaken the test subjects" theories abounded, with theorists suggesting that said individuals would be found there and released in the mythological and nonexistant Giant Easter Egg, and when, after two months of searching, none were found, and Der Eisendrache was announced, theorists suggested that they would, instead, be found and awoken at this new map. However, what many seemed to neglect was the wealth of information that we have had on these Test Subjects since the release of Call of the Dead. I've felt strongly that the answers to many of the questions can be answered by the radios and activities that took place at the Group 935 Siberia Base, and and glad to finally see some new evidence. First, let's review the story according to Black Ops 1. We know for certain that Richtofen kept the ORIGINAL 4 test subjects at the Siberia Base until sometime after October 1945, after he had betrayed Dr. Maxis at Der Riese. It has been confirmed that the Mexican test subject, one Pablo Marinus, did indeed die, another hotly debated subject. For more info that, visit this thread by my good pal @Tac here: Pablo Marinus, the Mexican. How or when Dr. Richtofen originally retrieved the remaining three, "Tank" Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Takei Masaki from the Siberia Base to begin his mission to extract Sam from the MPD is unknown. However, there is never any indication that they were transported to Der Riese in any universe we have yet encountered until after they had first been woken and fought together at Shi No Numa, the first thing that the three test subjects remember, before which they can recall nothing else, and even though they hate Richtofen, aren't sure why. Secondly, in BO1, Richtofen deliberately returns to the Siberia Base later, during his quest to collect the artifacts needed, where he and the others are trapped inside a vault, and he muses on his good fortune, saying he is glad that the others can see nothing that might spark their memories of being held there. Richtofen convinces the actors, brought to the site by George Romero, to carry out the process of sending the secret message "VRIL," in morse, along with a combination of horn blasts and other signals to a Soviet submarine waiting in the bay, which has been holding the Golden Rod for him, and trades it for a "returned" zombie, presumably for experimentation purposes. How the Russians got the Golden Rod may be explained by the fact that the Russian Ascension Group was made up of known Nazi scientists adopted by Soviet Russia after the war. Presumably, one of them may have worked with Richtofen at the Siberia Base and arranged the rendezvous that occurs in the Easter Egg for whenever Richtofen found himself able to return for the device. In Black Ops 3, however, the Origins 3 arrive at The Giant (Der Riese) to interrogate Dr. Richtofen, and attempt to persuade him NOT to open the teleporter and release Origins Richtofen, whom none of them trust. Dempsey clearly indicates in the first 3 rounds at The Giant that Origins Richtofen killing The Giant Richtofen destroyed their chances of finding out where The Giant Richtofen was keeping the test subjects. How they learn of the transportation of Dempsey from Siberia to Austria has yet to be determined. Richtofen clearly never returns from Der Riese to the Siberia Base to awaken the test subjects, and whether news of his death at the hands of his younger self reaches the other officers, or whether it is done as a precaution, the test subjects are loaded in trucks and, as seen in the Der Eisendrache in-game cutscene, shipped off to different locations. Dempsey, particularly, is sent to the Group 935 base, Der Eisendrache, where he is placed in a rocket and sent into space, bound for the Moon and Griffin Station. When his capsule is later shot down, however, we find that this time, since Richtofen was dead and therefore, unable to arrange his future rendezvous at the Siberia Base, whoever held the Golden Rod had instead attempted to send it with Dempsey aboard the rocket to Dr. Groph, at Griffin Station, who would likely use it in his continued research on the MPD, a project that Dr. Richtofen had put him in charge of on the occasion of the MPD's unveiling. Where the other test subjects were sent has yet to be seen; but now, without the Golden Rod, we have no reason to ever return to the Siberia Base, nullifying any reason for returning there in Black Ops 3, as the destruction of the Moon has done with Griffin Station. With no further words to summarize, I'm stepping down now. "Ahaha! It bites my shins. IT BITES MY SHINS!!!!"
  2. Welcome aboard! It's an honor. Looking forward to seeing you 'round!

    Hello

Another family man! Good to see how many of us somehow manage to juggle it all. Wall guns FTW, bro! I'm on Xbox, so unfortunately, a different "universe," but the way of the wall gun is the way of life! Welcome aboard! Looking forward to seeing you in the threads!
  4. Hey Zomban, folks have been suggesting an all-zombies game for some time, but we gotta remember this is Call of Duty. It's not likely. But hey, welcome to the site. I will say this...all the maps are already connected with a story, and we're extremely dedicated to it here. I'd recommend, if you're interested in learning more about the story that has been developing since World at War Zombies, you go dive into the threads and check out the innumerable resources and discussions we have on the subject. Otherwise, please ensure that if you have a question or a topic you wish to make, that you do so in an appropriate forum. (IE, this is the "Introductions" forum for new member introductions). Just wanna note that I am not a moderator. Just giving a friendly reminder, one user to another. Welcome aboard!
  5. Dude, welcome! Always glad to see old vets! We're becoming fewer and farther between these days, it would seem. Looking forward to seeing you in the threads!
  6. Glad to have you! It's funny to see how many great members start off as site stalkers. I did, myself, having been a reader for months before kinda...realizing I could become a member! LOL! Welcome aboard! See you in the threads!
  7. I'm gonna go ahead and just say @Zelkova @ZombieOfTheDead @urbanrooster it's good to see a healthy debate going on! You all bring up very good points. I think we should have a thread dedicated to the subject of the progression from Origins to DE.
  8. Even back in the day when Maxis was the highest known executive in 935 and the commanding officer at Der Riese reporting to the Riechstag High Command, Richtofen was not known to be an officer, and was simply assigned to oversee the experiments on the test subjects at the Siberia Base, attempting to find the 'trust barrier' inhibiting Maxis' attempts at successful mind control of living and dead subjects. He was also responsible, for a short time, for the designing of the WWDG-2 prototype. Other than that, his only authority came with his self-imposed leadership of the clandestine Griffin Station Group.
  9. Today is a day of celebration and mourning, simultaneously. The EE has been completed, but the true Dempsey is no more. And if you really are a fan of Zombies...you will also mourn the loss of Dr. Groph. A true classic, and major contributor to this epic. Not to mention Griffin Station. Does anyone else get the feeling Blundell may have felt a certain amount of satisfaction from destroying Zielinski's masterpiece?
  10. Call of the Dead is near Siberia, Russia. Not Austria.
  11. You just met two, actually.
  12. If I must clarify, I intended to imply separation. Thanks for your thouhts.
  13. What is the point of this thread?
  14. Not at all. You make a good observation. As far as we know, no one, though that is debatable. The eyes are yellow, indicative of Samantha, but there is no known evidence of this or any indication of how she got there. And like you said, she is in Agartha. My best guess right now is that are are actually going to divorce from the original story and provide a whole new explanation in the future.
  15. Glad to be of assistance! Welcome aboard. If you're interested and haven't already, hop on over to the Introductions page and tell us a little about you ! http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/3-introductions/
  16. Nice! You should post pics in the User Lounge! I plan on making one soon as a toy box for my baby daughter.
  17. Hey @TrustM3Danny we're not a bashing community. :) We believe in mutual respect. However, this is the same texture used for past mystery boxes, a basic WWII era weapons/munitions crate, in this case, it would seem to potentially be for a panzerschreck based on the number of rounds quantified (2) and the specification 'no propellant.' I wouldn't recommend looking for secrets on The Giant, as it is a reskin of the original, and still contains the same encoded messages it had 6 years ago; there's just nothing more to it. Best way to keep up with the findings, though, and make sure you're not behind is to be an active member here! We love to get new active members. And hey, never be afraid to ask a question, even if it's about something that may have already been found. The Mods, especially, are good for that, as well as folks like @MixMasterNut @BlindBusDrivr @Matuzz @Tac @PINNAZ @Nightmare Voyager and myself will be happy to answer deep dark detailed questions!
  18. Loved him in Prison Break. That face is unforgettable. Such a godfather.
  19. Looks awesome, glad to have Panzer back, the teleporters, rockets, the sweet looking tech...but MotD-Origins crossover stuff...I can't say that doesn't highly disappoint me.
  20. Pretty cool, all the same, Caddyman. You have piqued my interest!
  21. That is the Group 935 Field Ops Manual, and has been famous since WAW. I'd beware of anyone claiming to have found new EE in any map from WAW to BO2. Those maps have been ripped apart and datamined out the wazoo. It is extremely arrogant, presumptive and ignorant of that guy to ask for credit. Feel free to message myself or folks like Tac, Nightmare, Infest and others if you have questions about supposed 'new' EE, and we'll gladly getcha up to speed on stuff. Have you had a chance to listen through all the WAW/BO1 radios yet?
  22. Totally with you there. Been more of a lurker myself since around Christmastime. Here's hoping DE gives us a reason to believe again.......
  23. You're back very suddenly! Good to see you've returned.
