  1. Okay, that makes a bit more sense. It's possible I suppose, since Richtofen has control of all vital energy sources whilst in Aether, but there isn't any real signs of the Earth being more destroyed than we are shown in Green Run. However, I do agree with you that the Earth is definitely going to be getting worse and worse as time goes on- we've already been shown that it's breaking apart on Die Rise!
  2. Sorry, but I'm very confused. Are you implying that Die Rise occurs prior to the Earth's destruction? I'm not sure what you mean when you say "China is hidden", you can clearly see it on the loading screen. As for the silhouette, I think people just mis-interpreted that and it's just another zombie. Could be wrong, but the idea of him "covering China" doesn't make any sense. Maybe try rewording this a little? Cause this sounds interesting, but unfortunately it's not making too much sense right now.
  3. It's a fantastic map no doubt, but I'm worried that by the end of the month everyone will be sick of it and no longer like it, me included. When Green Run arrived I found myself saying "this is the greatest map of ALL time!" but that was truly due to hype, and now find Green Run to be a map I simply cannot stand. I'm fearful when Map Pack 2 roles in everyone will be saying "this map totally trumps Die Rise, it was such a negative map!" But then again, Green Run truly was bad (in my opinion of course) and I hope Die Rise will continue to be a praised map, because as of now, if triumphs Tranzit in every which way.
  4. Go to the roof of the sweatshop (where the dragons are located) and look at the closest building. It highly resembles the Taipei 101. As for Province 22, Jilin is listed as the 22nd province on several websites (thought it would be unwise to just list Wikipedia as a preference since their info can be questionable). Simply search China Province 22 and find a list of their provinces, and Jilin is no. 22.
  5. Well, if you listen to Maxis' quotes on Moon, the goals of launching the rockets is to sever Richtofen's ties with Earth. A polarization device is an object used to charge molecules, so it would be likely that these devices charge and perhaps dispense 115 globally, which explains why we power it with 115 on Richtofen's side of the ToB, and how it would "spread the flesh." Not sure where you're going with the "many layers of zombie's story", that's not exactly relevant, but I may be misinterpreting it. Also, notice in the High Maintenance EE on Die Rise we do the same thing for Richtofen- polarize a pylon with 115. The story arch at work here is that Maxis and Richtofen are both fighting for control, and all the survivors on the Earth are mere pawns. This is only a guess, and I suppose we will know their true intentions at the final map.
  6. As the title has implied, I'm having some conflict with where exactly in the Far East China is specifically. Obviously from the loading screen we're told it's in Province 22, or rather the province of Jilin. However, there are several skyscrapers that can be seen such as the Taipei 101, a skyscraper found in Taiwan, and the Jin Mao Tower, a skyscraper from Shanghai. So what is everyone thinking? Taiwan or Shanghai? Or were the skyscraper simply inspired by these buildings and the location is Jilin?
  7. I believe that the Tower of Babble wasn't necessary for High Maintenance, but it would make sense if it was. Also, the Easter Egg can be repeated on a different game if you wish to try another side of the Egg.
  8. Not to mention Misty and Samuel's quotes about deja vu on Tranzit. I agree, I think we've just struck gold on this theory, and the goal of the next Easter Egg for this map.
  9. Just a quick question, but do Permaperks have to be unlocked on Xbox Live, or can they be done in Locale?
  10. But it's a pretty good discussion we've got going on: hopefully by the end of this we can sort out the whole timeline. You may be right about HAARP, but Marlton's knowledge of technology that appears in at least 2020 the earliest is the sole evidence that I have confidence we're in 2025. Also, the soldier zombie models for Die Rise resemble 2025 SDC uniforms, which is selling me on a futuristic age. I hope you can find the video, it would be nice to have clearance on that. What say you? :)
  11. I think people need to regain some faith with Treyarch- they definitely listened to the criticism from Green Run, so it sounds like we'll be getting some better quality with Die Rise. I agree that they should keep a Der Riese-style for Pack-a-Punch; not to hard, but not a direct way to get to it. Denizens were completely unneeded IMO- I honestly don't care what people say, but they ruined the "open-world" aspect of Tranzit mode- we were told we could explore they huge new map, which is a bit difficult when tiny hamster-like zombies are clawing at your face. In a way, Treyarch kind of screwed themselves over on this one. I never really had a problem with the Avogadro, unlike lots of others, but again, just my opinion. From the info we've got, it sounds like Buildables will actually be pretty decent this time around and not as useless as Green Run's (but again, I could be wrong). Like you said, Die Rise will likely resemble a WaW map, so overall I'm confident we won't be disappointed with this map.
  12. We don't know yet the exact city it takes place on, I think it'll appear on the loading screen FAR EAST. The loading screen for Green Run shows NORTHERN HEMISPHERE It has been confirmed to take place in china, right? But I mean it would have to be on the western edge of china to match up with the explosions. Maxis's triangle is scalene, not isoscelese. In this map it appears isoscelese... While the actual explosions show the one labeled as "B" further to the west. So, what places of significance are located on the western edge of china? Major cities? I don't know. My point is just that detonation point B has to be further west than we thought. Plus the impact point isn't necessarily the exact location of die rise, so for all we know detonation point B could be anywhere from the middle east to western china. And that is just assuming that the other missile hit paris / Breslau. So as of now, we only officially know where one missile hit. However We can assume one hit Europe. And to follow the pattern of the explosions as seen from space, explosion B MUST be in the middle east, west Asia, or east Europe. It is also further south than impact point C, so yeah. That's all. I'll leave it up to you pro theorists to take it from there. it's sad that this is my first proper theory (however feeble) since BOII. Edit: I just got a great idea that will help to pinpoint a potential area for the impact of point B. I think I've got something here people! Only time will tell what Maxis is trying to do. :)
  13. I've always considered the campaigns for WaW and Black Ops to run canonically side-by-side with the zombies plot, mainly because of all the overlap in them; watch the WMD cutscene, and you'll see a clip of Stiener experimenting with Nova 6: this same footage can be seen in the tapes at Kino Der Toten. X-rays of the Gas Zombies can be seen in Project Nova, and the intel for WMD even mentions Der Riese. That's another reason why I've considered Black Ops II Zombies to take place in 2025, obviously sometime after the campaign. While the whole "alternate timeline" theory may be true, the mentioning of the HAARP Research Station is hardcore evidence we are sometime passed the 60s. Multiplayer in BOII also links to Zombies (I'm sure we've all seen the "zombies are coming" sticky notes), not to mention that Marlton displays knowledge of 2020s-era weapons.
  14. Finally, someone who believes in the alternate timeline theory. What exactly is your theory? Alrighty, all buy this alternate timeline theory. But the mentioning of the HAARP station, Marlton's knowledge of 2025 weapons and the uniforms of the Zombies in Die Rise (they look oddly similar to soldiers from the campaign) make me believe we're sometime in the 2020s. I hope we can get some kind of confirmation quote in DLC and settle the debate.
  15. I think you might want to post this in the Tranzit forum. But yeah, it was only an homage or a bit of a comparison to see how much the mode has grown from a small little structure to this massive open-world area.
  16. Like there was ever any doubt! ;)
  17. One of the best, if not THE BEST, theories on the pylons I've read! Now just a few more pieces of evidence to back up your theory: -Maxis states in a radio that his Plan B is to activate polarization devices, so I'm assuming that the pylon is one of them. I tried looking it up, but it was a bit difficult to wrap my head around so I hope someone could figure out what polarization is -Lately people have discovered that the areas on Earth the rockets landed at after the Sidequest on Moon could in fact be Shangai, Nuketown and Paris, the locations of possibly of the three polarization devices used to control the zombies like you said (Trichotomous System). Perhaps Maxis' goal was to destroy these three devices by launching the rockets to these points specifically? He mentions the calculations were made in haste and were off, so it would explain why he aimed at Nuketown rather than Hanford.
  18. Good theory, but now to poke some holes: I'm a little unclear about this part, but did you say Marlton was with the survivors on the Farm radio? If so, that would be impossible since you're playing as him during the time the message is heard (apologies if that's not what you meant however). The fallout shelter is also open when we see the rocket hit Nuketown, so that means he likely saw the Bus and naturally ran for it to escape the zombies at the test site. But I believe you're right about him being a radiation scientist- his quotes reveal he knows a lot about nuclear fusion, so that's another clue about his past. I'm not sure where you got the whole "vengeance for another guy" thing, though. As for your second theory, it's likely that the Speedway Busline (if you listen to the Bus Depot after the power is on it says it's Speedway Buses) is national, and not exclusive to Green Run. The bus' license plate reads Colorado despite the fact that we're in Washington State, and TEDD mentions tons of locations ranging from New York to Arizona.
  19. Treyarch is full of surprises and I wouldn't put it past them to start a new storyline, but usually DLC follows one story arch in every game- in Black Ops all the Sidequests followed each other in a domino effect- the Kashmir Mechanism in Ascension teleports O4 to CotD, where the celebrities teleport them in the Original Characters Trapped Sidequest to Shangri-La where Richtofen gets the Focusing Stone and takes the group to Moon where he uses it to enter the MPD. The Tower of Babble left us with more questions than answers (similar to every Easter Egg in Zombies), so I assume we will continue this now story arch with our new characters, but like I said, we may never know...or for eight days. ;)
  20. TEDD mentions the HAARP Research Station, which wasn't built until 1993. Marlton also demonstrates knowledge of 2025-era weaponry, not to mention the futuristic underground facilities beneath Green Run. Also, CotD appears to be set in the 2000s, and the radio on Shangri-La is made by ANDO, a media company that was created in 2004. If Moon and up were to take place in the 60s/80s, it would mean that CotD and Shangri-La would never have occurred and Richtofen wouldn't have retrieved the Focusing Stone and Vril Generator. Might just be a continuity error on Treyarch's part, but I believe that we're in the 2000s right now. As for CotD following Ascension, Takeo mentions Lunar Landers in Shangri-La, which is confirmed to take place after CotD, thus confirming CotD came after Ascension (Dempsey also mentions Gersch in CotD). Also, why would three be no nuclear tests just because it's the modern age? And the international OWNED award goes to... Haha, why thank you!

    Sidequest?

Let's just hope we don't get another troll attack like last time...

  23. It's a magical thing called a community: a community that works together to piece together the puzzle that we know as the Zombie Narrative. Like everyone has said above, there are some (such as SpiterBite, and DalekJD) who do a phenomenal job taking every little detail and linking it back, but as the saying goes, "it takes a village"- or in this case, it takes a community.
  24. Chances are Treyarch was just playing with 3 devs when footage for the preview was recorded. These theories are getting out of control (but I agree with you that Treyarch certainly did not take out Marlton or "zombifie" him). You're right about the bunker. The Tranzit mode bus can be heard around Rounds 4-6 on a game of Nuketown, and the bunker can be seen open on the death screen as the rocket hits the map.
  25. viewtopic.php?f=139&t=27690 What's this? A theory that involves history that I haven't even heard of? Oh lord, I'm in for a long night. But in all seriousness, your link is pretty solid stuff. Also, I believe Tac made a thread somewhere about Shi No Numa actually being located in Manchuria, so if he's right on that there's another red flag on China. It's maps like these that branch the Zombies plot globally that really please me- now if we can just make it to Paris, I can die a happy man!
