  1. The 4 spots around the map with broken, sparking wires are the 4 doors that require the turbine to open them. The wires are sparking to give you a clue that turbines are required.
  2. That is false. The known record for the EE on co-op (4P) is round 12, and the known record for solo is round 14. I have finished it solo on 16 myself numerous times and finished it on co-op on 14.
  3. Yeah, and it is potentially what ruined the zombie storyline in the process.
  4. There is a few known issues with World at War and Windows 64-bit Operating Systems. Try these out and see if any help... 1: Go to the following options... -control panel -sound device manager -highlight "speakers" -click "properties" -On the "advanced" tab set "24 bit, 44100 Hz" 2: Go to... -control panel/system/advanced system settings -on the Performance tab click settings -Go to Data Execution Prevention -Click the tab "turn on dep for all programs except those i select" -click add and find you games .exe file and add it. 3: Apply a modified nocd crack that will replace your own .exe file and will allow you to boot the game without requiring the disc. This is not an illegal operation as by owning the game it is your right to modify the .exe. This is another well known fix as some .exe files that came with the 1.7 update were known to have 64-bit issues. The nocd crack will not damage or alter your install or OS in any way as long as obtained from a verified site like megagames or gamecopyworld. 4: Another known solution is to start the game up and wait for around 4 minutes are a lot of people have reported that the game tends to hang for a while before firing up. Try the above 4 methods first and if they still don't work I will help you get the game uninstalled
  5. Just got to round 22 on a practice run of the MotD challenge with Eternal and Naitrax. GG gentlemen... GG indeed!

My internet can be shitty as well, so... there is a possibility I'll disconnect. HOPEFULLY I WON'T DISCONNECT... I really hope I don't if this goes down.

  7. There is a very easy fix to the issue. Only have the person who built a staff use it... ie: In a 2 player game, I would build Wind and Fire and player 2 builds Ice and Lighting. Only I will ever handle Wind and Fire and by doing so it prevents them from glitching out. Another step we found was absolutely necessary in a game with less than 4 players was to put the fire staff in the 5th holder 4 times when on that step as opposed to the normal way. Tested this over a 20 times now and works every time!
  8. Have the prelims been extended? If so, can I get a monitor to join me shortly?

  9. There is no ifs or buts about it... it's a glitch! Plain and simple. If people are not good enough to play without it then by all means take the down and obtain them, but do not try and make excuses while doing it. The animation is a mess and there is no notification sounds while obtaining them. It is simply an exploit in the engine, very similar to the no air glitch on Moon. Again, use them if you must, but don't try to convince people of their legitimacy while doing so.
  10. Rank does not matter in that instance. I have seen bones leave after a down, skulls, bowies and shotties too. People leaving is not always to preserve their ranks. It is mainly down to either frustration or embarassment if they take a down. It has been happening since WaW and more so in BO1 where rank and downs mean literally nothing. It is not a shottie thing, it is a public lobby thing.
  11. Down to do this challenge today, but must ask... is it solo, or co-op? If co-op, do I have a team already or do I need to find one?

sweet, if only @choppper and someone else can join us? Also, I don't know if we get to pick our teams.

You can only pick teams if you're the Team Captain.

  12. I thought the reskinned Nuketown was ok at first. A novel introduction to the main games setting... 2025. The reimagining of Firing Range was a terrible idea though. I was a great map on BO1 at first but it became overplayed and tedious. To bring it back one game later was a joke and I did not enjoy it at all. Same with the Summit remake. Great map on BO1 but pointless on BO2. Even up to BO1 I played a lot of MP still having been a huge MP fan since the first MW, but BO2 although fun at first really killed it for me. I got so bored with it so fast which was a shame seeing as zombies was not altogether inspiring either. I really just can't get into Ghosts at all. I think it is the downscaled graphics on current gen from next gen that let it down for me. Tough to spot enemies in the distance and as I prefer to play hardcore, it usually ends up being a friendly I shoot before seeing the GT. Not that keen on Extinction either.
  13. I completely disagree on that one. BO1 had some very decent MP maps in my opinion, but that is all it is... opinion, so with that aside I go on to the main point I have. Just because a game has garbage MP maps in ones opinion does not necessarily call for reprints. It is down to a lack of imagination and innovation on the programmers and would maybe then call for a rehiring of staff with better ideas, but to resort to reskins is extremely poor in my opinion and has partially led to the downfall of CoD as a franchise. BO2 and Ghosts were generally poorly recieved for the most part and they are littered in reworkings.
  14. Huge congratulations to both of you. You both definitely earned it. Well done.
  15. Black Ops 1 for me. Not only did it have the best maps, but it also brought the WaW maps over to a more fluent and smoother version of Radiant, so it meant the WaW maps were a lot more playable too. Black Ops 2 is not awful, but the maps lacked innovation and balance for the most part so there really was only a couple of really good maps to choose from. The EE's were terrible though and the lack of real rewards meant they also lacked purpose or longevity. No one wants to do them for the purpose they were intended. That was a real letdown.
  16. Right. Porter Punch does sound familiar but I was unaware of its effect. Did not play a lot of Titan tbh.
  17. I can't say that I have. What map is it on? As for the perk itself, I think it would be a nice addition. Everyone gets cornered at somepoint in zombies and it is usually inescapable. The idea of being able to escape is something I think would appeal to all, and with a one time use it would not really be that OP.
  18. Perk : Black Russian Similar to the Gersch effect, players who get cornered can activate a Black hole that teleports them out of their current location and they reappear somewhere else on the map. Positives: Get's you out of a tight spot in a hurry. Negatives: Possible to spawn right in the middle of another players training spot. Only allowed 1 escape but the effect is replenished when a Max Ammo is obtained. Cost 4000.
  19. I don't really hate MP though. I still played MP throughout BO1 and early in the BO2 season, but I got turned off by the poor maps on offer, and then to see them recycling maps in the DLC was a real off putter, for me at least. The Firing Range and Summit remakes showed a complete lack of imagination and innovation if you ask me. Take two fan favourites and reskin them, then make them pay for the pleasure. Yeah... good one.
  20. Just spent an hour of my afternoon arguing with a Twitter trolls groupie... how sad am I!

  21. It is not as simple as that though! I bought the BO2 DLC for zombies, and I had no choice but to pay over the odds for recycled MP maps that I would have preferred not to have to pay for for a second time, so as a paying customer it is my given right to compain about it. I get that you are a fan of Ghosts and Extinction Way, and you are right to an extent... I have not and will not buy any DLC for that game, but to tell me to simply not buy DLC for a Treyarch game is not good enough. I am a zombies fan so will obviously buy 3arc DLC but If they want me to pay top dollar for their DLC then I want original content with it!
  22. Well not really. For me at least, if I wanted to play old maps, I would go and play it on the original game. All this does is fuel the argument that CoD is always recycling stuff. The time could've been put to better use IMO. Agreed. I hardly think seven (I believe) recycled maps in Black Ops 2 is an over-reaction to be honest. Some of the recycled maps were poor the first time around as well, so why should I have to pay for them again? Ghosts is no different in this instance. Still, it is a pointless debate as I believe the communities reaction to these poor reskins is what promted Activision to make the Dev cycle 3 years so as to give the Devs a better chance at being innovative, and this is one of the reasons why I believe we will not see any (or maybe one at best) reskins.
  23. I have to agree with Eternal on this one. Don't take Treyarch's depiction of Maxis too literal... I believe they just did not know how to implement him properly. Take for example the fact that they perceived him as some 80+ year old gentleman in Origins even though he is supposed to then go on and have a kid some 10 years later!?! These are the reasons why the current storyline is a mess and needed to be abandoned quickly. They could not even implement him into the storyline without messing it all up.
  24. Completely agree with this. When BO2 first gave us Nuketown 2025 I though... "This is pretty cool!", but then it became an epidemic. Every DLC had at least one reskinned map, some even had two and by the end I think there was a total of 7 old maps brought back. Now Ghosts is doing the same and it is just terribly lazy if you ask me. "We can't think of anything new or innovative so let's just release an old map and say we are bringing back another fan favorite but have Vonderhaar claim it is his favorite map of all time to give it an additional selling point" What kind of bullshit policy is that? If you want to bring back a ton of "fan favorites" then release a compilation game, don't make us pay for the same map twice! When MW3 gave fans the Terminal remake that was fine, but it has now become common practice. The only thing that may be in Sledgehammers favor is the fact that they don't have any CoD titles of their own behind them, so if they were to bring back old maps it would need to be either IW or 3arc maps and I don't see that happening. I expect AW to be completely original this time, or at least hope that is the case.
  25. Well, there is some people who believe Moon (and therefore Tranzit) are actually set in the year 2025 or thereabouts as opposed to the 60's, so the Driver is explained by that one. Then the town in Buried is partially explained in-game by quotes from Marlton that it was down to the tectonic plates shifting that moved the town there rather than it appearing via a time pocket. If Tranzit did indeed take place in 2025, then Die Rise could easily have taken place at the same time. The only thing giving it any kind of timeframe is the "est since 1996" writing which only really means that the map takes place sometime after 96, and the chinese calander gives it the date of Jan 1st I believe. It is also believed that Maxis intended on destroying the Earth as he believed that he could enter Agartha via the Earths core (if you believe the hollow Earth theory), which means he did not have the intention of creating time bubbles.
