  1. Actually, there can be 2 legit death machines. Are you saying by using the afterlife glitch? Because technically you could have 4 of them using that method although I'm not sure how legit that is and it will probably get patched. I've never seen one in the box after someone has pulled it otherwise though.
  2. I'm not sure why there's not much mention about it, but it certainly can be upgraded. The only other things to note about it are only one person can have it at a time, you cannot revive with it out, and you cannot go prone with it. There may be other things that I'm missing. I don't get it very often for some reason. I may be wrong but I feel like the movement speed increased after I upgraded it.
  3. You can add me! I have quite a few zombie slayers on my friends list but could always use a few more . gt: baldage
  4. I don't see any reason for the O4 to come back in this game. They very well could and I would be happy about it, but I think this game is about the N4 and will continue in that trend. Also, the next zombie game will most likely be standalone (fingers crossed).
  5. Thanks for the tips from the guys above me. I will try again next time I play. I think I may have shot a brutus last time I tried and it didn't work.
  6. Hey guys, So me and my friends recently ran into this strategy while playing a 3 player game and it works absolutely great. We suicided at 40 (on our first try) because we were all tired but you could continue longer if you have the patience to farm brutus for max ammos. This is not the gondola strategy you think it is. I could not find it written here nor could I even find a video of it on youtube. I apologize if it has already been mentioned. So without further ado! The Strategy: Prerequisites: You will need to have these things to make the strategy run smoothly. 1) 3-4 players (I doubt that it would be very effective with 2 people). 2) Golden Sporks for everyone. 3) Hells Redeemers will make your life easier but not exactly necessary. (Definitely want the retriever at least for grabbing powerups) 4) Two people with blundergats. 5) Zombie shield, I suggest building it at Electric Cherry for grabbing it between rounds quickly. 6) Perks, jugg is mandatory. This strategy is basically easy mode. The basic idea is that two people lay down at the entrance of the gondola with zombie shields (they will be henceforth called the turtles). You basically want to block the entrance. The remaining 1-2 players stand behind them at the back of the gondola. These players should have the vitrolic witherings and hopefully redeemers as well. The turtles job is to spork the hell out of the zombies and not let them push you into the corners. The zombies will move you every now and then. Sometimes they jump onto your back. I suggest changing your button layout to tactical. The dead zombies will at times pile up and block your vision, try to make sure you are aware of your positioning at all times. Do not stick to far out of the gondola or bad things can happen. The players in the back throw their redeemers as often as possible and shoot the witherings when things get crazy. They can also use their 2ndary weapons to help kill as well. You should run this strategy with the gondola in the top position. If things get crazy or someone goes down, take the gondola down and let them get jugg. The bottom gondola position is not for killing simply for getting a break for a second before going back up. At times one of turtles zombie shields will break (the higher ranked color will draw over 90% of the action). At this point, take the gondola down and have a stander put his shield down so that the turtle can pick it up. If both standers have already given their shields then the turtle of the lower ranked color can give his shield. It may not seem plausible, but I was blue and gave my shield to white and after we both laid down, I took basically no hits and my life was never in danger. Once you are in 30's you will want everyone to refresh their shields in between rounds, which is why it is a good idea to build it at electric cherry. Some may think this strategy is only good until 34 as then the spork goes to 2 hit kills. This is not true. The main reason this strategy works is because the zombies have a hard time hitting the players laying down in the gondola. It works fine after 33, you will see some more pileup now though and may need to use the witherings a bit more than in previous rounds. That's basically it, we went to 40 first try and then took an acid shower. The spawns at the top are very quick, so once we started the strategy the rounds went very quickly. As with a lot of MOTD strategies the time-consuming part is getting set-up. You could go past 40, however ammo begins to become a problem with the withering and need to be careful of too much zombie build-up. I am trying to upload a video, however I have to rely on theater and it is not working right now. I update this post with it, if I get it to work. Cheers!
  7. Does anyone have a sure fire way to make sure the whole party can receive the redeemer? Idk about everyone else, but having everyone get it in a co-op game seems exceedingly rare. It just does not seem to work sometimes. Anyone else having this problem in co-op and more importantly has anyone found a solution?
  8. I'm not sure why anyone would despise Brutus. He's just misunderstood! I love him, no need to recycle a weapon ever! Just keep summoning him at the end of the round until he gives up a max ammo. And he's really eay to kill. BEST BOSS EVER
  9. This reasoning is seriously flawed. Brutus does not have escalating heath as the zombies do. This easily seen by the fact that the same number of claymores kill him despite the round. The redeemer can one shot zombies at least into the high 60's and this is confirmed. You are saying that Brutus has more health than a zombie in the high 60s. This is clearly false as he would just demolish everyone the first time he showed up. Whether or not the redeemer does infinite damage on zombies is yet to be seen. You may be right that it simply has extremely high damage but it cannot be proven based on a brutus argument you provided. If you were to say that Brutus possessed some extraordinary resistance to the tomahawk aka defense and this defense gave a damage multiplier of say 0.01 then that may be used to conclude that the redeemer does not deal infinite damage. However this argument is flawed as well as the tomahawk is notoriously fickle when it comes to brutus. Sometimes the retriever one hits him and sometimes it does nothing. If anything I would conclude that the tomahawk simply has poor hit detection when it comes to him. The only way to clearly demonstrate that the redeemer is not an infinite damage weapon is to find a round in which it take two shots to kill a zombie.
  10. Has anyone else had the blundergat not show up after collecting the skulls? It didn't for me last night. We even went into afterlife in all the spots to make sure we got them :? . Oh well.
  11. I think a big factor to consider also would be how large the party you are playing with is. If we are just talking solo, I think 50+ is obtainable in one sitting on every map. I say in 'one sitting' because if you go much higher than that, the round times increase so exponentially that you would really need a lengthy break or sleep causing you to leave you system on for lengthy periods of time. I don't think that should be a prerequisite for hitting 'high rounds'. I really respect all those with the patience to go for 100+ it just isn't for me. With 2 people 40+ is definitely easily obtainable. Again round times play even a greater factor here as you cannot pause. I've suicided quite a few times at 40 with a teammate. The games were always fun and exciting but not to stressful or time consuming. The few times I've tried to keep going the late 40's got really boring and time consuming. It really wasn't for me as it makes the game feel like work imo. I don't have much experience playing with 3 people but I assume it falls somewhere between 2 people high rounds and 4 people high rounds. Four player games can be some of the most exciting and rewarding experiences you can have in zombies, if you have the right team of course. However I really dislike going to much past 30. I suppose 35 would be a respectable number if I had to choose but on a lot of maps 30 isn't to shabby either. If you go much farther then this, you're looking at a really time consuming game. I ended up killing myself on moon at 38 because the sun was coming up (we also did the EE). These are my numbers and experiences but they will inevitably vary from player to player. So much has to do with strategies you use, the number of players you play with, and you and your team's skill level. And don't forget the map! 4 player moon is pretty much as high as you want if you have the time, but a map like verruckt or shang is a completely different story.
  12. It's one of those things though, that once you do it a few times it becomes easier and easier until it becomes 2nd nature. And then you don't even consider it difficult anymore. The first time playing MOTD, trying to get the plane built seemed really difficult as everything was new, now not so much. One game I played we got all the gas cans, hit the box for new guns, and went and pap'd mid-round 30. At least you don't need your team to coordinate to use the pap and really if in a lobby of all randoms you could 'in theory' do everything yourself (usually a teammate would grab a part i'm assuming). Remember Shang? Yeah good luck paping when someone doesn't have a mic, it's not going to happen.
  13. They literally mean the exact same thing.
  14. He dies very easy so it is not a problem. Me and friends had three spawn at the same time on the bridge at round 27 or so. That was a little more exciting.
  15. Definitely not intended. If it they wanted you to have 4 blundergats then they would make them available from the box. Expect this to be patched soon.
  16. That's because your point doesn't really make sense. The perks aren't hard to get, the quests do not need to be completed, and the new features do not hinder traditional slaying. But what do I know I'm just a zombies fanboy. Oh wait I forgot you were kind enough to provide us with an definition: You a blops 1 fanboy, I've been slaying zombies since WaW beotch.
  17. Custom games have never counted for rounds on the leaderboards.
  18. The zombies would be too emancipated to run at you. It would be a very easy map.
  19. That's the perfect example of a fanboy. Just because I criticize a game that he loves, he berates me. Thank you for the excellent example Edward Richtofen! You seem to not realize that games need to evolve over their lifespan to remain alive. If all they did was keep spitting out Nachts the game would have died. If all they did was stick to original 4 perks the game would've died. If all they did was make new blops 1 maps the game would be dying. I've played zombies since WaW and own every cod title since cod 4. I am a fan of zombies and of cod in general. Do I blindly agree with everything they do? No. If that makes a 'fanboy' then so be it. I really don't give a shit what you label me as. I would say what I label you as but it wouldn't be very nice so I won't. Zombies has evolved and will continue to evolve as long as it's still alive. There will always be those who dislike the changes that are made but that won't stop the game from changing. Whether you like it or not, the game has moved on from blops 1 and it is not going back. So you can either suck it up and adapt to the game or not.
  20. If you don't like the game then don't play it. Treyarch can make the game however they want. Calling people fanboys because they disagree with you is retarded. We're all fans of zombies here...otherwise we wouldn't be here. So why don't you put in blops 1 and stop your whining. You seem to dislike the direction blops 2 has taken but guess what? Treyarch doesn't care, I don't care, no one cares. You don't like the game then don't play it, simple as that.
  21. I've heard others mention the no powerup thing as well. However, the Brutus's do drop powerups on the bridge. I got a few from them last night there. I don't know about the other zombies.
  22. Studio is amazing. Bringing back probably the best map layout Treyarch has ever made was a good idea. Encore is okay but I feel it played pretty shitty in the games I've had with it. Vertigo in my first playthrough thought it had too many corners and headglitches, is actually pretty good now that I played it a few times. It plays well in DOM as well. Magma, okay but dislike the layout so far. Map feels slightly disconnected. Dislike B dom placement. Really the actual places that lava can kill you are few and far between. Still need more time with them to get full opinions. MOTD is taking up a lot of time .
  23. I would definitely take EC over DD. DD is alright (better with some weapons) but I'm still going to get a lot of headshots regardless. At least in Blops 1 I tested and DD barely rose my headshot percentage, so I labelled it as useless. EC's shock has already saved my life a couple times. It can buy you a couple seconds when you need it. Unless the blops 2 version of DD is different than the blops 1 version, I wouldn't waste a perk slot on it.
