  1. I discovered this when I got to round 33 with only 2 players on Nuketown in Custom Games on day 2 :|
  2. I remember there being a detailed theory once about how the VR11 could've been created using the DNA of one man (someone in the CIA) and imprinting that upon whoever is shot by it. I mean, why exactly would it turn a Russian scuba diver into a man with a suit? That texture wasn't really used anywhere else in Black Ops and couldn't they have just made a generic Russian diver skin instead? But I am also very open to the idea of it being a re-used texture as I have seen far too many people look into things that are simply re-used textures.
  3. Could simply be a re-used texture for a character model. Could also be the reason why the CIA are involved in zombies...
  4. I also recommend running a train at where the bus stops at Farm, I have literally never died while working up a train there. It's always when I leave when I get screwed. You still have easy access to the shortcut to Town, and the Remington becomes far more useful than MP5 in my opinion. The zombie shield isn't that far away if you need to grab one too. I would also suggest using the Tunnel for it's amazing training capabilities as well. You could utilize all 3 spots for a co-op strategy too as I have discovered it is very easy to run 2 people at the Farm and/or Tunnel.
  5. That seems far too easy to me, I still believe it's more than just a k/d ratio. I've seen terrible players have a skull rank or higher, so I don't think getting a large amount of kills over downs is the deciding factor here. I'm pretty sure part of it is actively playing all 3 game modes and doing both solo and co-op. I have a few ideas on some other things as well that could factor into it as well.
  6. Off topic but how do you get theater mode with no fog? And on topic: in your opinion, would just one person have to shoot the sign with the way gun? Or a team of 4? Put a dolly cam inside the power room and stay in edit mode and you should be good to go.
  7. I was going to go back in theater mode and check it out myself (or just get a raygun and go into the fog) so I have not seen it yet. I don't think it was a glitch though.
  8. They just didn't add a eating/biting animation in there.
  9. I was playing Tranzit with 3 friends and all 3 of them got Raygun's quite early on. I was training at Farm when one of my friends started running through the fog. He then noticed that if you aimed down the sights with the Raygun, the sight on it changed from red to yellow while in the fog. He wasn't pointing at anything in particular, and when he exited the fog it changed back to red. He tried it again several times and every time he had it out in the fog, the sight was yellow, this was the same for my two other friends when they tried it. I apologize if this has been noticed before, but I thought I would just point this out. It could be relevant, but you never know.
  10. So somebody watched my game at that time and said that all the windows got completely boarded up right after. I have not personally checked this out yet but I will see if this is true, I still remain somewhat doubtful that it is a carpenter, but I digress. I can't really upload anything to the internet right now as my computer isn't exactly functioning at this time, I'm currently doing this via ipod. Also, one of my friends did a little experimenting himself and said to get the Staminup perk, you have to run somewhere between 250 to 300 miles in a single match in Tranzit. He has some ideas on the other earnable perks, but they seem somewhat unlikely and I will post them later if my friends or myself finds some hard evidence on them. Feel free to add me on the PSN if you want to check this out with me, I can't garuntee that I'll be able to play with you as I already have a lot people who I play zombies with, but I am free or am in need of an extra player or two every once in a while.
  11. I do not mean to sound rude, but are already quite a few threads on here about ranking. I suggest checking them out.
  12. I made a video via theater mode for those of you on PS3 that want to check it out.
  13. Well for Bus Depot, there's only one location (much like NdU), so a Fire Sale would be useless except for points (which are pretty easy to obtain). For Town and Farm, there's only two locations, and while it would be a great Grief mode mechanic since they're in the worst locations, I don't think two locations really warrant a Fire Sale. For Green Run, it's understandable. Everyone will most likely always be traveling together, there's only about 1 or 2 box locations per area, and you won't have enough time to get to another area. Though I reckon they should've had more box spawns in the hidden areas (NdU allusion, the cottage, the tunnel) Also Richtofen gave Death Machine's in Moon, so it wasn't really Sam specific. 1 box location in Farm, but yeah, I agree they should've had more in hidden areas as that would made things a lot more interesting.
  14. I did it when 3 of my friends were spectating me and their reaction was priceless.
  15. I've noticed this happens when you walk/jump in front of the bus with the ram on it. When there isn't any ram, it just bumps you back and blurs the screen a little while also making your character grunt. I almost went higher than the garage at Diner once doing this.
  16. Raid, that's where it's at.
  17. That moment when it's just you and one friend against 4 other very skilled players in Town and you go to round 26 and ultimately beat them by outsmarting every single one of them. I teabagged them until they completely bled out
  18. I also have this "earnable" I have posted about it before. I saw my green cloud when I galva knuckled a zomb of the bus window. The only ability that I could attribute it to was the faster sprint I have. It's not much, but I can outrun most people with he same weapon. And when I have Stamin-up its great. There is 100% a noticeable advantage. But I could never figure out how I got it. My brother has it also , as do some other players. Try racing other players , and Timing how long ur sprint last from a standing position with a pistol I don't see what it has to do with knifing, but it's worth a shot I suppose. I never thought about that because I usually get Stamin-up by round 1 or 2. Thanks for telling me this!
  19. It's probably for players who haven't learned that you never want to stand still while you're shooting.
  20. I was referring to Tranzit. Though now that I think about it, I haven't seen it on Farm or Town or Bus Depot in Survival.
  21. So I just had a long match where I used everything but the bowie knife, and I used melee almost the whole match and to no avail. I saw no discernible difference with melee what-so-ever. So what else could it be then? Unless I just happened to have lost it beforehand somehow.
  22. I'm guessing fire sale wasn't included due to the boxes being so far spread apart in Tranzit. As for the Death Machine, maybe they just didn't have enough room to put it in before the game's release.
  23. I was planning on a 30+ run on Tranzit tonight anyway so I will do some messing around when I start. I'll test out all 3 melee weapons if I can. I'll compare knifing speed to other games too through theater mode. This will also be the first match of Tranzit since that happened, assuming I have not lost whatever it was.
  24. It wasn't the headshot bonus because their heads didnt pop off for a while after this orb popped up. And I got the knuckles later that next round as well (it's usual for me to get 100+ kills with the knuckles in a good game). Unfortunately, I died shortly after that because of some stupidity on my friends' part. If I get it again, I'll mess around with the melee a bit more.
  25. So I was playing with 3 friends yesterday and while I was chillin at the bus depot around round 10 or so, someone got an insta-kill and I started knifing zombies like crazy. Toward the end of the insta-kill, I went to knife the last zombie I could see and when I did, one of those green orbs came out of him. I know it wasn't the headshot thing because I (re)earned that literally the very next round. So I'm not sure how I got it, or what exactly it does because I didn't notice anything different for the rest of the match. But I decided on 3 things that could've factored into its acquisition. 1) It is melee related, as I had gotten a lot of knife kills that game. 2) Its linked to insta-kill, which would be odd because as far as I know, you can't earn the other 3 perks through the use of power-ups. 3) It could have something to do with the amount of one-hit-kills I had in that game, because I also got a lot of those with a sniper and shotgun earlier in the match. I can't get a video or picture up at this time due to some computer issues, but I will go back in Theater Mode and put it into my profile later tonight for those of you on PS3 to look at it yourself. Thoughts?
