  1. His name... is LENNY. As for fun facts: the Ray Gun Mark II (in my experience) is much more common on Buried than it is on any other map. (I've had better luck with it recently though, so maybe a patch has since made it more common. Or maybe it just doesn't like me.) Also, @yourmapper, who said you can go from 0 to 250,000 points using the bank, this is technically untrue. 250,000 is the maximum amount that can be stored, yes, but there is a 100 point withdrawal fee for every 1,000 points withdrawn, meaning you lose 10% of whatever you withdraw. So, if you were to withdraw the maximum 250,000 points, you would lose 10% of that (25,000), so really you can only go from 0 to 225,000 points. /endmath
  2. Let the analyzation begin! I'll wait for someone else to post the frame by frame. My computer's not much good for this stuff. What I can say is that some stuff in there looked very recognizable. That moon was definitely the one from Nacht, there was the stone circle thing from Shangri-La (or on the pyramid in Moon) and I feel like the number 2 on the wall was from the labs in "Five"... I'm feelin' some classics here ;)
  3. If it did exist, it would probably be expensive. The only reason I can't say for sure that I'd buy it is because I'm not sure if anyone I know would ever play it with me... Unless of course it came with a way to play in solo mode
  4. Because this forum isn't filled with "DLC 4 LEAK! OFFICIAL!!!!" or "leaderboard suck fix it now treyarch" This is because it's filled with zombies fans, not multiplayer fans. Multiplayer fans, as a general rule, are much less mature than zombies players. I'm not sure why it works out this way. Probably because people play multiplayer to make themselves feel like they're better than everyone else, while people play zombies to challenge themselves as well as engage in a compelling story
  5. Oh, I also forgot to mention one more thing that would make DLC4 unforgettable... ELENA SIEGMAN!!!!
  6. Because. Der Reise. Is. Immortal. Personally I would love to see ZP115's idea sooner than anything else. I'll admit, the multiplayer DLC has been better this time around. I actually love the Vengeance MP maps. However, I don't feel the need for more MP maps either. Zombies is why I bought the game, and it's why I buy the DLC. Maybe include a couple new MP maps or a new MP weapon in DLC4, just to keep the MP-only players who bought the season pass happy. But I personally would like to see the return of most (if not all) classic zombies maps
  7. I agree. The survival maps included within TranZit could have been much better than they were. I would like to see more "simple" survival maps, like Nuketown, and I'd even go as far to agree that it's not too much to ask of them, even in addition to their new "main" map. However, my main focus would always be on the complex map, as would everyone else's, so Treyarch will simply focus on that one. I'll tell you how players would work together with all those weapons: they'd use the Thundergun and ignore everything else
  8. I'm really hoping for some mystical stuff to go on in this next map. The mere fact that Maxis mentioned Agartha in Buried makes me really excited... Me too. I doubt we'll be going to Argatha itself (underground city? We literally just had that) but hopefully this map can explain more about the Vril-Ya and its connection to zombies - flying pyramids and all. Everything we have on them so far is little more than guesswork. Of course, they'll be sure to present more questions than they answer with this map, but one or two answers would be nice ;)
  9. There are some ideas on here that I like, and some I do not. I'll differentiate, and then explain. These ideas, I personally don't like, simply because I feel that they change the original map too much. I can't see what purpose the turbine would serve in Der Reise, seeing as I usually have the power on by round 3. The trample steam would also be of limited use, and the shield would simply serve to make an easy map even easier. Der Reise does not need buildables. Personally I find the TranZit PaP camo to be the most boring there ever was. Der Reise's original (not BO1) PaP camo was the best in my opinion, so if they could bring that back that's what they should do (except the Wunderwaffe - you know you loved having that s**t gold in BO1 ) With the exception of Double Tap II (and arguably Mule Kick, seeing as it was in BO1) I don't think any new perks should be added. Again, it just makes an easy map easier. The bank and fridge simply serve to link the maps with the new characters and I think it should stay that way. Half the fun of Der Reise is getting set up, and these would rob it of that. Finally, it would be difficult (and very unnecessary) for them to add an easter egg to Der Reise. It already has the Fly Trap, which is fun but doesn't warrant permanent perks. Perma-Tombstone should be sufficient. These upgrades to the map would give it just enough of a Black Ops 2 feel while managing to stay true to the original map. The walker zombies would add a new challenge (you get to deal with runner zombies, walker zombies, AND mid-round hellhounds), the BO2 weapons from the box in combination with the WaW weapons on the wall will give it a unique blend of weaponry, and the persistent upgrades, well, they're just fun I do agree with you in hoping that they bring back Der Reise and other classics for DLC4, hope they do include these features ;)
  10. Kind of ironic, seeing as your profile picture is Walter White That being said, I can also not contribute much to this one, knowing very little chemistry. I just took high school chemistry last year, and my teacher quit halfway through the semester so I hardly learned anything. I'll just leave this one to the pros...
  11. Fantastic strategy. I remember using that exact train when the RGM2 first came out, but I never perfected it. I had a lot of trouble in the earlier rounds, when the spawns weren't fast enough for them to ALL spawn while I was inside the bar. Still, now that I know about this spawn exploit I might have a much easier time, thank you ;)
  12. Yikes. Those are some high expectations you've set there Eye Still, I think if the zombies team puts in everything they've got, they can end Black Ops 2 with a fantastic experience that'll please everyone. For starters, I would like to see some classic maps as part of the final DLC. Obviously I would like to see the return of all 10 of the WaW/BO1 maps, but both I and my hard drive understand if this is too much for the dev team in addition to the final map of course. Perhaps a "Best Of" collection, consisting of four or five fan-favorite maps (yay, Ascension... ) As for the map itself, I can only expect it to be a massive level. Not necessarily massive in size, mind you (TranZit really showed us to be careful what we wish for in that field) but massive in complexity. A feature-heavy map with lots of things to do is what I'm pushing for, as should be expected of a grand finale. Der Reise introduced teleporters, Pack-a-Punch, Monkey Bombs, radios, mid-round dogs... Things that seem basic now, but were far beyond the standards of a WaW map. Moon, while not my favorite map, introduced several game-changing features like No Man's Land, the lack of gravity, the hacker, excavators, Q.E.D.s, and (personally) my favorite Easter Egg to date... Features intended to shake things up, make the game more of a challenge. The new map should include features such as those seen in Moon, designed to provide a greater challenge while simultaneously providing the means with which to survive to higher rounds. I'd like to see some things that make the game more than just the usual "arm up, then kill/hoarde/repeat till you die". Features that make high rounds a true challenge. That being said, I also don't want it to be TranZit, where the only weapon that can kill in higher rounds explodes when you use it. Round 100+ should be a challenge, but not unfathomable. As for the story, I have only two requests: 1. Bring back the old characters. 2. Don't end it. It's been so long since we've seen the characters, I would hate to have to say good-bye as soon as I say hello. People say that it's best to quit while you're ahead, better to be remembered as a great story that was too short-lived than a mediocre story that went on too long. But after all this time, I can't bring myself to see it end. The story grows ever more complex. I'm a firm believer that Zielinski and the team can provide us with adventures for Richtofen and our crew for much longer than this. That's what I'm hoping for. The team may play it safe and give us a scaled-up version of our usual map, but I'm hoping for a true finale FOR THE TL/DR: New gameplay features that give us more of a challenge than "kill/hoarde/repeat" and an ending to this chapter, but not the end of the entire book.
  13. I'm with mocking, it's ok to end the campaign with multiple endings because the story (most likely) will not be continued. Zombies, however, is another story. The zombies storyline has taken on a life of its own, it's grown too big to end. If they planned on ending the entire story in this map right here, then multiple endings would work. But odds are, zombies will continue in Treyarch's next game. It's too successful not to. And in order to do that, we need ONE, SOLID ending to continue on.
  14. No, because that's the opposite of what a finale should be. It should be what the entire "season" has been building to, the culmination of everything we've seen and enjoyed. Besides, even the noobs would be mad if Treyarch took away their precious perks. Seeing as some people don't care at all about the story, a feature-heavy map would be a better choice than a mission-driven one.
  15. I did consider the possibility of the two endings and honestly, with Easter Egg progress being reset when the button is pressed, I must admit I am at a loss to explain how they would do this map story-wise. People have said that the controller of the zombies in the maps could be dependent on which Easter Eggs you did, but there are many who don't bother. Hell, even I haven't finished them all (damn that four-player requirement). I guess, with my theory, we'd assume that the zombie controller has the ability to travel through time. Not crazy, Samantha followed the crew to the future in CotD, did she not? So, if the map takes place in 1917 France with the O3 and Samtofen like I theorized, and the players haven't done the Easter Eggs, the controller of the zombies could be Richtofen, but no major Easter Eggs would be possible (he wouldn't have the "full control" the N4 granted him). If they have done Richtofen's side, they could do an Easter Egg based on that (perhaps something similar to the Original Characters Trapped egg in CotD, but with the O3 + Sam helping the N4), or if they've done Maxis's side then Maxis would be the controller and there would be an egg based on that. I'm just shooting in the dark here, I really hope we get a trailer soon.
  16. I saw one a while ago, I can't remember if it was a "leak" for the first or second map pack, but anyways, it was called "Orientation". Seriously. Orientation. Sounds thrilling. Also, everyone who made fake posters seemed convinced that there was gonna be a zombies map called "Dark Side of the Moon"... And finally, I'll never forget the time I saw a poster with a multiplayer map called "Water". I respect CoDz's no leaks policy, but I'm glad we can still laugh at these! You've won my friendship. Same.
  17. Ok, so I was thinking about it today, and I've gathered a theory of my own... Unrealistic perhaps, and it's a little crazy but would be very interesting... In one of the letters, the writer mentions "strange lights in the sky... a mysterious plague... giant metal men...". The "giant metal men" is what seems to be confusing people, but then I thought, well, what would an Apollo spacesuit look like to people in 1917... Basically, Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Samtofen made their escape from the moon the way we all thought they would, using the MDT. The thing with the MDT is, you never know where you're going to end up, or even when. The teleporter took them to German-occupied France in 1917, where a group of German scientists, featuring a young Doctor Richtofen and Doctor Maxis, was doing experiments with a mysterious new element they had discovered known as element 115. Also sent to check out the site were a young Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Takeo Masaki. You all see what I'm getting at... Some say this map will be a continuation. Others say it will be a prequel. But it may very well be both! If this theory is correct (which, by the way, I want a special medal if it is) it will see the future crew continuing their struggle with the zombies while showing in real time the events of the past. It would be a very clever move on Treyarch's part. There are many questions that come up with this theory - do the past characters get captured here, who's controlling the zombies, etc. Like I said, this is just Dunbar's crazy crazy theory. This is more of a "I thought of this cool thing earlier and wanted to share" rather than a "this is definitely what's gonna happen"
  18. The M1911 and the Ray Gun have been in every zombies map to date (if you don't count DOA or Grief, which I don't). I highly doubt that they would remove such staples in the series. The Ray Gun comes from a magical toy box, it can appear anywhere in time and space. I like the idea of this weapon having different attachments that define what it does. Would kind of mix up the gameplay a little bit, straying from the "one super-powerful wonder weapon that you MUST have for high rounds".
  19. Sal has got to have the worst voice acting of any character to ever appear in zombies... Mine's gotta be Weasel. You can tell he's not a bad guy like the others, his life just hasn't gone the way he wanted it to. Plus, his lines are nice. Starting a game solo: "Oh no, oh no, oh what's happeniinnnnngggg?" Also, the high-pitched scream he does when he gets hurt
  20. Nah, WaW is the actual story, the BO1 maps are not "reboots" they are just replays. They are for nostalgia and gameplay only Remember that whole thing about hundreds of alternate timelines? Yeah. I think the BO remastered collection was just that. "God, we can't even re-release classic maps without you people thinking it's some alternate timeline or some s***." -Treyarch, reading this thread
  21. World at War has always been the true story for me. Tank Dempsey was the leader of a group sent into Verrückt to rescue the "playable characters" that we're stuck inside. The Black Ops versions only feature - - Comic Book loading Screens - Nacht Der Untoten has an additional secret song - Verrückt has an additional secret song - Shi No Numa has a radio that explains time travelling to far into the future, it's nearly the same as the Call of Dead audio. Apart from the characters, that is the only differences. Exactly this, the Black Ops versions on Nacht and Verruckt only featured the characters as a bonus. Storywise, Nikolai and Takeo were (as far as we know) never at Verruckt
  22. It's true, they updated the perk colors on MotD to match those on Buried, most noticeably Double Tap. To be honest, I hate Double Tap's new color. It makes me wanna vomit, in much the same way the BO1 version of Mule Kick did. I know it's minimal, but I mean Double Tap is supposed to be orange, not pink...
  23. Saw that video a long time ago. It's just a troll. In the future, if you can't find at least a second video giving the same information as one you just watched, then it's probably bull. Shame, too. I would've liked a golden Ray Gun
  24. Also, I feel the need to point out that you neglected to put Nuketown on the poll options. Not that I know of anyone that'll vote for it, but you should include every map. And you did include Dead Ops...
