  1. with a focus on specific old maps, found by these prequel characters? It looked like nacht, ascension, shangri la & shi no numa. Kino, Verruckt, and Moon were there as well it seems.
  2. Looks bad? This is the Original 4 returning in the last zombies' map ever possibly. The end is here, and I don't think Treyarch is going to send us out with a bad map. The expectations are too high. I'm thinking this will be nearly as good, if not as good, as the original Der Riese.
  3. See the Tranzit Easter Egg Guide. viewtopic.php?f=136&t=25073
  4. I second this. Perhaps a logo design contest among our users? Interesting idea. We'd have to have some sort of generic guidelines: - must include "CoD:Z" or "CoD:Z Forum" - must be 81px x 81px - ... (any other guidelines anyone can think of?) The winner will have their design showcased on the CoD:Z Twitter (obviously), and a special shout-out tweet? I mean, the prize itself is simply having your artwork displayed to all of our followers - but should their be a secondary prize (like the "shout-out", or something else?) For the pixel requirements, it's best if it was YxY and greater than 81, meaning that it could be 400x400. The only size requirement is that it should be under 700 KB. Just make sure the image is square. Also, the shout out can be either your twitter or youtube. Does that sound good? If these are okay with all staff, we can start up the actual contest page.
  5. Realistically speaking, what new addition or twist could Treyarch add to/implement in DLC4 to make it legendary in your eyes? Would it be bringing back the Wunderwaffe, the Thundergun? Can they do anything to approach the beauty and legacy of World at War Der Riese, the extension of that onto Kino der Toten? That's gameplay wise. ---------------------------------------- How about story wise? How would you like to see the story continue, or perhaps end? If the Original Four really do come back, what do you think would be the best way for their journey to come to and end? And in the end, what do you think Treyarch will actually do? Will they shoot for the stars and attempt to make a map like nothing else on Black Ops 2, or will they keep things more or less the same, with perhaps a few medium-sized changes? It is very likely that we will see more zombies, but if zombies were never to make a return, how would you like to remember this franchise? Ehj~
  6. Yes, we do! Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/CoDzForum
  7. Thanks guys! Alright, let's start this up. Does anyone have any great threads they've seen?
  8. Is the WW on that map a buildable? I just... I don't know. It doesn't look like it'd have the same challenge appeal to me. You have been saying that for a long time though.
  9. Hello all, and welcome back! As you all know, the site has a twitter, found here: https://twitter.com/CoDzombieforum Follow us there if you want to stay up to date on the forum's status! Anyway, if you'll notice, the twitter has over 73,500 followers, over 4 times more than users on CoDz. A lot of people see what we tweet. Big threads get even bigger if tweeted out. We have some of the best discussion and theories on the web about zombies, and we keep things clean and leak free. I think more people need get familiarized with CoDz love, and you guys can help! Introducing: Threads to Watch If you see a thread that is well-written and has lots of good information that encourages discussion and zombie talk, post it here, PM it to me, and we'll tweet it out. Obviously, these threads still have to be reviewed, but if you think it'll pop and it's one of the best threads you know, make it known! Essentially, if you see a great thread and think over 70,000 people (some of whom may even join the site) deserve to have access to it, let us know. On a serious note: we all know COD: Ghosts is coming, and that means another Zombies' dry spell. However, we survived and thrived during MW3 through great discussion and community. I hope that this thread can build that discussion and community over the coming weeks and that you guys will be able to participate in this and share some great threads with over 55,000 people who aren't even on CoDz. Let's do this! Ehj~
  10. Agreed. We can't confuse Treyarch's marketing of different game editions to hold meaning to the story. The game is first and foremost a business venture after all.
  11. Fast and easy indeed. Definitely legit, but yeah, very easy. Good find, and it's a good example of why I never really liked the look of Die Rise. Hope to see you on Buried later, my friend.
  12. Welcome, gentlemen! You've both been awesome forum members, and jolteon, being a great friend of mine, it's so great to see you as a mod. Grill, while I do not know you well, your work is excellent, and it's great to see you as a mod, too! Fancy seeing you here, Dan. Good to see you man.
  13. In the intermediate period until the sections are fixed, I have moved all the threads that are generally applicable to the original Black Ops to the Black Ops section of the forum. If you are looking for them, please go here: viewforum.php?f=16 Thank you for being so understanding of the chaos around these parts. I want this site to be as beautiful as it was a year ago at this time. Keep working and never give up. If you need me to move anything, please let me know, or just talk to another active staff member. Ehj~
  14. Poignant, powerful, and surprisingly concise. Heh. Well done, Andrew, well done. Though I do not have the game, this is the best review I've seen of it. Excellent work. As usual. 8-) Ehj~
  15. In a day's time, you will all no longer really need this! I hope this has helped everyone it can. Let's go slay the zombies of Black Ops 2! It's been quite the ride.
  16. I'm not content with my record so,no. This is very much so going. Same here. 334 isn't good enough for me. Played for an hour today. I started pulling out some new tricks, hitting 55+ on every PAP now, around 110 with 6 shots but I need more practice. 340 is coming but 350 is the goal. I gotta keep going.
  17. Is this still going or have we all laid NML to rest?
  18. Very detailed, and one of the best map guides in the game on Call of the Dead. Truly a great job here man. I really learned from this, which is something I haven't done in quite a while on zombies to be perfectly honest. :)
  19. Sorry, but the MP40 is not on Ascension and Five. And the Awful Lawton is not on Moon either. I wonder what oversight there was; maybe in the quotes? They were taken from the coding and files, not actually in game, as far as I recall.
  20. I am down for this. Let me know when you need one more, way. I'll be giving brains, too. I'll also post my availability, because I'm focusing on some NML right now. I hope I'm on to something big here. :)
  21. So detailed yet precise with your language. Your writing style is unique and your plots interesting. Keep it up, girl! Ehj~
  22. Instinct vs. Conditioning Ha! You thought I'd get into it with letting you know that my name is Ehjookayted AKA EyeCntSpel, and that today, I've been thinking about a couple things. I understand a lot of the game comes from strategy as well as just survival tactics, but there's a point where we all must think about how we have gotten so good at zombies. What is instinct and what is conditioning? Are you a natural or are you trained to slay zombies? There has long been the idea that athletes are not born, they're made. And I must concede this, there is a point where your raw instincts become conditioned, and where your conditioning becomes your instinct. We all had either instinct or conditioning guiding us to round 30 that first time, with the more skilled players perhaps getting the most revives, but also downing due to inevitable situations. We had the knowledgeable player staying alive but unable to come up in the clutch because of the lack of skill. Either way, round 20-30 was an achievement in and of itself. Well let's break it down. Instinct Instinct is never dying from running past a zombie. Instinct is running back the way you came. Instinct is reviving for the game. Instinct is that which cannot be taught through normal means. Instinct is pure, undying, relentless, unwavering skill. Conditioning Conditioning is realizing that you're going to die when you do something. Conditioning is learning to run a train over and over again. Conditioning is never forgetting to leave a window unboarded. Conditioning is moving the right way at all times. Conditioning is keeping safe, staying smart, and knowing your limits. Innovators and executors, our skillful and knowledgeable players have an array of tools. These tools are used to decipher which is which in zombies, how each strategy is related to either instinct or conditioning. Because at this stage, we have reached a point where there are strategies that can really help you out if you are predominantly an instinctive player or predominantly a conditioned player. Let's break down which strategies are which, starting with my favorite: No Man's Land! Differentiating Strategies: What Type of Player Are You? The Side Drop at its finest: gCXg1F0FmhA If you can see by watching closely, two very different types of running. Not only that, there are also different types of strategies for solo and co-op. Solo strategies need to be less toned down, with the exception of No Man's Land. Dead Ops Arcade requires the most consistent skill of all the maps, but when talking about the foremost 10 maps, rinse and repeat is the safest. Playing challenges soon becomes about everything you've ever learned. My advice when playing a challenge is to choose the role you're best accustomed to when in actual high round play. This way you don't mess up or find yourself in unfamiliar territory. That's all I've got for you, guys. Enjoy! Ehj~
